"Ash?"

I'm so comfortable.
"Have you got plans tonight?"
"I do"
I don't really.
"Spence I have the same plan I've had every night since you got here..."
I quickly move so I'm lying on my side.
"You"
When I brush my lips over hers, she smiles.
"Is there any chance you could take me somewhere?"
"Name the place Spence and I'll take you there..."
"The house I grew up in"
I definitely wasn't expecting that.
"I need closure Ash, I need to hear what she has to say"
Her wish is my command.
"Okay, just let me know when you want to go and we'll go..."
"Can we go now?"

FLASHBACK (EARLIER THAT DAY)
"Hi"
When I look up Paula's standing there.
"Hi..."
"How's your mum going?"
Spencer's going to be out here any second now.
"Paula..."
"Can I sit?"
It's a pretty big bench.
"Paula I'm not going to tell you can't"
She's sitting down.
"Ashley I'm never going to forgive myself for the way I've treated her"
When she says that I look over at her.
"I wouldn't forgive myself either"
Her eyes are locked on mine.
"I'm everything she says I am Ashley"

"I turned my back on my own daughter when she needed me the most and there's nothing I can say or do that will make what I did alright..."
"Ash?"
When I hear her voice I stand up and walk over to where she's standing.
"Hey..."
Hey eyes are locked on Paula.
"How did you go Spence?"
When she looks over at me, I smile.
"Good..."
"Really?"
"Yes, really"
She's grinning.
"Do we need to do anything or see anyone?"
"Nope, we're good to go"
I love her smile.
"Okay, let's go then"
"Spencer?"
When Paula says her name she stops walking.
"I just want to talk"
She's moved so she's standing in front of us.
"Please..."
"I'm not interested Dr Peters"
When she steps around her, I follow.
"Are you okay Spence?"
"I'm more than okay..."
She's smiling.
"I'm in a great mood Ashley and even mother dearest can't ruin that"
END FLASHBACK
"Spence are you sure you want to do this?"
We've been sitting out the front for a couple of minutes now.
"Yer"
"Do you want me to wait out here or come with you?"
"Ash you're definitely coming with me"
I knew she'd say that, but I still had to check.
"Alright let's do this"
When I get to her side of the car, I pull the door open and help her out.
"So this is where you grew up?"
"Yep..."
"It's cool"

I feel horrible for her.
No one should have to go through what she's been through.
"Here"
When I pass her one of the crutches she smiles.
"Thanks"
"When this is over Spence..."
I have the biggest smile on my face.
"We can do anything you want"
"Anything?"
I lean forward gently brushing my lips against hers.
"Your wish is my command..."
"You won't hold back?"
I can't wait until she's one hundred percent again.
I really miss our crazy sex life.
"If you're going to request sex Spence..."
She has the biggest grin on her face.
"It's going to be very gentle sex"

When she starts walking again, I follow.

She's laughing.
"But you are full of yourself"

When she gets to the door she looks over at me.
"So this is our last chance to bail..."
"Spencer if you want to stay we stay, if you want to go we go"
She's smiling.
"You're perfect..."

I can't help myself.

They must have heard us, because the door just opened and Paula looks like she's seen a ghost.
