"So this is lovely Spence and I'm loving the free meal, but..."
Am I that obvious?
"Spill"
She's grinning.
"Zara I think I want to move back to LA"
I may as well get straight to the point.
"Actually I know I want to move back to LA"
She looks surprised, I'd be surprised if I was her as well.
I've been avoiding LA for years and now I'm telling her I want to move back.
"But you're my best friend and I love you like a sister, so if you want to stay in New York, I'll stay, because there's no way I could ever live in LA without you..."
"You want to move back to LA?"
"Only if it's what you want as well..."
"What about the bar?"
"I'd keep the bar, I'd just find someone else to manage it"
"We have a lot of friends here Spence..."
"I know and if you want to stay, we stay"
I can't tell if she's considering this or if she thinks I'm being ridiculous.
"Is this an impulsive decision you're making because Ashley gives you mind blowing orgasms?"
When she says that I laugh.
"No and yes"
I miss the beach, the city, the weather.
"LA's had this huge black cloud hovering above it for years Zara, but it's gone now..."
Ashley helped it disappear.
"We grew up there, your family is there and I miss the beaches and the weather"
I miss it all.
"Obviously Ashley's the reason I'm bringing this up now"
I love her.
"But we're a package deal Zara and if you don't want to go, we don't go..."
"You'd stay for me?"
She's my best friend and I don't want to live away from her either.
"Of course I would, you're my best friend Zara and I'm forever indebted to you..."
"Spencer that's ridiculous"
It's really not.
"It's not Zara, I hit rock bottom and you picked me back up"
I have the life I live now because of her.
"I honestly don't know where I'd be right now if it weren't for you"
"Spencer..."
"I'm serious Zara, I owe you big time and if you don't want to leave New York, we don't leave..."
"So we pack up shop and move to LA, then what?"
This is a good sign, she hasn't said no.
"We go into business together, like we've always talked about"
I have this biggest smile on my face.
"We open an 'Arthur's' in West Hollywood or Hollywood..."
"What does Ashley think about all of this?"
"She has no idea we're even talking about this"
She's grinning.
"Spencer I'm in"
I'm really hoping I heard that right.
"Really!?"
"Yes, really"
"Really, really?"
She's nodding her head.
"Zara this has to be what you want as well..."
"It is"
This is great.
"I've always been kind of torn between the two, but you wanted nothing to do with LA, so it was an easy decision"
We're actually going to do this.
"Now both cities are options again and New York's not going anywhere..."
That's true.
"And mum will be so excited if we do this"
I have the biggest smile on my face.
"So we're actually going to do this Spence?"
"Yep"
"We're going to need somewhere to live, cars and are you serious about opening a bar together?"
"I am"
I never thought I'd even consider moving back to LA, but now it's what I want, it's all I've been thinking about since I boarded that flight back to New York.
"This is a very impulsive decision Spence..."
"I know and Ashley is a huge part of the reason I even started thinking about it, but then I kept thinking about it more and I took off my Ashley goggles"
I've been wearing my Ashley goggles a lot lately, but even when I take them off I still want this, I miss LA.
"I can find someone to manage the bar and we can come back here whenever we want and I don't know I think the change would be good for us, well definitely for me and I"m hoping for you as well... Maddy's there"
She's grinning.
"I'd have Ashley and your family is there"
"The beach is there"
"The weather's better"
"Spence we can get tans again"
She's laughing.
"We're actually going to do this, aren't we?"

This is a very impulsive decision, but the heart wants what the heart wants and I know deep down this is the right decision.
