So a friend of mine, you know who you are, said that I have to write a new chapter of MIDC or he's going to kill me. Thank you, for making me feel safe in my Fanfiction community...So in honor of my very special friend, I've come up with a new chapter that has fighting in it.

I need to practice writing my violence anyways. ^.^

32) Who Needs Normal?

"It should be a simple mission, we just need you guys to take out an annoyance in a small village near here." Lord Death stated, looking down at his son and his group of friends.

"If it's so simple, then why are you sending the best fighter in the school?" Black-Star asked.

"Why are you sending me?" Kid said with a straight face. The rest of the group laughed.

"You wish, I'm better than you." The star announced.

"I've sent you to the infirmary more times than you can count, so that's about three times." The young shinigami smirked and held up three of his fingers.

"Aren't you two just adorable?" Lord Death chuckled, stopping the fight between the boys.

"I'm not adorable father." Kid stated, crossing his arms over his chest. Black-Star raised a finger and opened his mouth to say something. "Black-Star I swear if you say anything about my looks in front of my father, I will cut you open and hand you on my roof by your intestines as my Halloween decorations." Kid threatened. The star closed his mouth and lowered his hand.

"I still can't believe you two are together." Soul chuckled.

"Don't remind me." Kid sighed.

"Alright you guys, get going before I decide to send someone else." Lord Death said, dismissing the teens.

"I bet we'll be back before it's dinner time." Soul stated as the group started their walk towards their destination.

"Hopefully, I'm already hungry." Black-Star said, rubbing his stomach.

"When aren't you hungry?" Kid asked. The star whispered something into the other boy's ear and he gained a slap across the cheek from a blushing shinigami. Kid stormed off ahead of Black-Star.

"What did you say to him?" Soul asked.

"I think you don't want to know." Maka interrupted, grabbing Soul's arm and dragging him ahead. Black-Star let out a laugh and stopped when he noticed something on the ground.

"What's up Black-Star?" Tsubaki asked.

"Nothing, you go on." The star said and bent down at the strange object on the ground. As the rest of the group went on without Black-Star, he bent down and picked up the strange object on the ground. He discovered that it was a necklace with a silver skull and crossbones with several black beads, eight on each end of the skull. Black-Star smiled and stood back up and was about to call Kid's name when he noticed the one he was about to call to ran past him. "Kid?" The star turned around then two more people ran past him. "Maka, Tsubaki?" He said each name as they went by. "What's going on..." Black-Star felt the ground shake from beneath him and he turned back around and was greeted by the sight of a giant. The man reached down and grabbed the star by the neck and lifted him into the air. "Help..." Black-Star ran back to the giant when he noticed Black-Star was being held. The young shinigami jumped in the air and landed on one of the giant's large arms. Kid fired Liz and Patty several times on to the giant's wrists. The man let out a shout and dropped the star. "Thanks."

"You owe me." Kid said with a smirk before attacking the giant again with more shots from the twin pistols. Tsubaki joined the group and transformed into the star's hands.

"Duck Kid!" Maka shouted as he launched herself into the air with the help of the scythe in her hands. Kid crouched down as the girl flew over him, Maka swung Soul as he fell towards the giant. The man raised a hand and allowed the blade to cut into it. Maka found herself hanging in the air as the scythe blade was stuck in the giant's flesh. Black-Star could hear the curses coming from Soul as he jumped on to the giant's neck.

"I'm gonna take your soul!" Black-Star cried as he shoved Tsubaki into the man's neck. The giant let out one gargled scream before falling over. Maka managed to remove Soul and fell away and Kid had to dive out of the way off the dying man. "I win!" Black-Star cheered on the giant's back.

"You're an idiot." Kid and Maka said together.

"Kiddo!" Black-Star ran up to the young shinigami, who had just finished telling his father about how the mission had gone.

"What?" Kid asked and continued the path he was taking down the school's hallway.

"I got ya something." The star cut him off and held out the necklace that he had found on the ground.

"Where did you get this?" Kid asked as he took the necklace to get a closer look.

"Do you want to know the truth or do you just wanna take my gift?" Black-Star said with a wink. Kid rolled his eyes then gave Black-Star a quick peck on the cheek.

"Thank you."

"Aw." Kid looked over and saw most of the school standing in the hallway, all of them having witnessed what had just happened. The young shinigami's face turned red in embarrassment and Black-Star just started laughing.

"I told you he liked him." Someone said in the crowd.

"I'm going home." Kid turned around then realized the only way out was through the crowd.

"I'll help ya." The star threw Kid over his shoulder and pushed through the group of teens, not caring about the laughing from the crowd.

"Why can't I have normal friends...or a normal boyfriend."

"Who needs normal?" Black-Star chuckled.
