Alright, so I was watching on YouTube and I just watched an episode of misheard lyrics and one of them gave me an idea for a chapter for MIDC and here it is!

39) Misheard Words

"Kiddo! Kiddo!" Kid let out an irritated groan as his front door was pounded on rapidly and Black-Star's voice was heard shouting in beat with the hitting.

"I'm coming, I'm coming!" Kid shouted over the banging and thinking to himself how he ever got himself involved with this idiot he would never know. The young shinigami opened the door and was greeted by four people, not only the star. "Can I help you?" Kid asked.

"We're helping you." Liz said behind him and Kid found that Liz and Patty were dressed up to go out in their pants and nice shirts.

"What are you talking about?" Kid asked, not understanding what was going on.

"Do you not know what today is?" Soul asked with a raised eyebrow.

"It's Friday." Kid answered while still not understanding what the group was trying to tell him.

"Kiddo, it's your birthday!" Black-Star announced and wrapped his arm around the other boy's shoulder. Kid glared an accusation at Liz and the girl shrugged and smiled, not defending herself and proving that she had informed the group of hs birthday.

"What does that have to do with anything, now can I continue my night in peace?"

"Nope." The twins answered and pushed Kid out of the house.

"I hate all of you." Kid muttered as he followed the group to the DWMA building. "What are we doing here?"

"Lord Death liked the idea of us throwing you a birthday party, he said that it would be cute." Maka answered.

"I could see father saying that." Kid sighed and was surprised to head loud music when the door was opened and all of his classmates were in the large gym, partying under a sign that read 'Happy Birthday Kiddo!' Kid reminded himself to kill the star later for putting 'Kiddo' on the banner. "I still hate all of you." He chuckled as he was ushered to the drink bar and was handed a soda.

"Have fun." Soul said with a wink as he and Maka went to the dance floor. Liz and Tsubaki went to talk to a couple of boys and Patty went straight to the food.

"Aren't you going to go harass Liz and Tsubaki by saying you're their child or something like that?" Kid asked when he noticed Black-Star was the only one still with him.

"I'm behaving tonight for you." Black-Star said with a grin.

"Aren't you sweet." Kid said with heavy sarcasm and took a sip from his drink. Black-Star took his cup when he finished and took a drink as well. "Get your own soda." Kid took his cup back from the star.

"But it's so far."

"It's five feet next to you."

"True, but I'd rather drink from your cup." Black-Star smirked and rested his hand on Kid's hip.

"Happy Birthday Kid." Kim said as she and Ox got a drink from the counter.

"Thank you." Kid smiled and cocked his head when Kim giggled when she walked away. He looked down and saw that the star's hand was still on him. "Will you remove your hand?"

"Effort." Was Black-Star's response and kept his hand on the other boy's hip. Kid didn't bother asking again or removing it himself, he wasn't in the mood to listen to Black-Star's complaints on how he doesn't show any affection or how Kid shouldn't hate p.d.a. so much or blah, blah, blah. Kid laughed a little at his own internal comment and Black-Star looked at him with confusion.

"Could you get me something from the snack table?" The star saluted the other boy and went off on his 'quest'. Kid sighed and sat down on one of the stools and was soon joined by Liz who was refilling her own cup.

"So have you officially came out?" She asked.

"Came out?"

"Of the closet?"

"I came out the moment I agreed to go on a single date with Black-Star and the idiot told the whole school that I'm his now."

"Black-Star came out with that, you haven't admitted it out loud yet that you two are dating."

"I'm dating Black-Star, the whole school already knows...that..." Kid lowerd his voice when he found it echoing. "You have a microphone, don't you."

"Soul dared me." Liz said.

"Soul. I'm killing you after the party, you better run when it ends." Kid stated, hearing the scythe laughing.

"See ya." Liz ran off and Kid wasn't alone for long when Black-Star handed him a bundle of grapes.

"Eighteen's a nice number right, when you close then tip to bottom." The star sat down.

"You counted?" Kid asked and Black-Star nodded his head. "Thanks." The young shinigami popped a grape into his mouth.

"I like this song." Black-Star said about the music. "Jimi Headrix's Purple Haze." He chuckled and sang along with the song. "Excuse me while I kiss this guy." The star started to laugh.

"Those aren't the lyrics." Kid commented.

"I know." Black-Star cupped Kid's cheek with a hand and planted a kiss on the other boy, Kid heard several 'aw's from the crowd and turned red.

"I'm not letting you get away with that." Kid whispered into the star's ear and grabbed his wrist, pulling him away from the party and into the hall. Several shouts and howls followed them as they left. "Pervs." Kid muttered then tossed Black-Star into one of the closets. "Although they aren't wrong." He smirked and locked the door behind him.
