Inspiration can come from the craziest things. I was looking around my room and saw my blue bracelet with a bedazzled black star on it sitting on top of a book of mine that has a gray cover and boom. Black-Star's scarf popped in my head and a cute little story followed it.
I wish I wasn't so special sometimes.
44) Lost Scarf
"Where is it!?" Black-Star snapped at himself as he tossed another pile of clothing across the room, how many shirts did he have?
"Black-Star, what are you doing?" Tsubaki asked, standing at the star's open doorway.
I just took my scarf off ten seconds ago and now it's gone." Black-Star explained, throwing his sheets in the air on his bed.
"You're not going to find anything looking like that." Tsubaki stated and picked up a plate from the ground. "Maybe if you cleaned this room up a little you could find things easier." Black-Star glared at the taller girl over his shoulder and continued his wild search for his missing scarf. "Maybe if you didn't try to fight Kid with Soul again, you would still have your scarf on." Tsubaki picked up another plate and stacked it on top of the one already in her hands.
"Tsubaki." Black-Star whined.
"Alright, alright. Are you sure it's in here? Where did you remove it?" Tsubaki asked, grabbing several more plates and bowls off the dirty floor as she walked more into the room.
"I don't remember and where else would it be?" Black-Star sat pushed items around on his cluttered desk, a picture of all of his friends getting closer and closer to the edge.
"Didn't you take it off right before the fight? You said it would get in your way." Tsubaki offered, catching the frame after it fell off of the desk. "It might be outside still." She said and put the picture back on the desk.
"You're a genius Tsubaki!" Black-Star said as a thanks and ran out of the room. Tsubaki smiled then looked at the collection in her arms. With a simple shrug he dropped them on the bed, maybe the star should learn to clean his own room for once, she won't be around forever to pick up after him.
Black-Star went past his waiting friends without a word and stared searching the yard. Starring down intensely at the grass and trying to look for gray to stick out of the bright green grass. The other teens stepped out of the house and watched the star, now on his hands and knees, search the ground for something unknown to them except for Tsubaki.
"Try the tree." Soul said, not knowing what was being searched for, but wanted to see his friend climb up a tree for no reason at all. Black-Star gave his scythe friend and thumbs-up and ran over to the largest tree, knowing that it was the only one he climbed for practice since the other ones couldn't hold his weight well. The star went to the very top, scaring several squirrels and birds out of their home. All of the teens watched in stunned silence as a muttering possum scuffled past them.
"It's not there!" Black-Star shouted, his blue hair sticking out of the tree's green leaves.
"Did you lose your brain again?" Soul asked, receiving the middle finger gesture from the star before he climbed down.
"No, ass-hat, I lost my scarf." Black-Star stated and pointed to the collar of his shirt, the usual gray stripe missing.
"You just had it five minutes ago." Maka sighed and the teens went out searching for Black-Star's scarf, all but Kid.
"Black-Star has a scarf?" He asked himself. He never really noticed before, he knew there was a gray stripe that was one the star's neck but he thought it was part of the shirts design, not an accessory Black-Star wore. Kid shrugged and adjusted the belt he had found and joined the others, he looked for a thing of gray cloth...gray... "Son of a bitch." He muttered. "Black-Star!" Kid called out for the other boy.
"What, did you find my scarf?" The star asked.
"Yeah...I kind of found it a while ago." Kid unbuttoned his blazer and on his hip line showed Black-Star's gray scarf tied like a belt. "During the fight the button on my pants broke off and I found this while you and Soul were getting fixed." Kid explained. "I figured I could give you, what I had assumed at the time was a belt, back to you when we made it over to my place...I didn't know it was your scarf till now." The young shinigami smiled with embarrassment. Black-Star stood in silence with his aw dropped while he stared at the scarf that was being used as a belt, he really didn't know how to react.
"Did you find it...yet..." Soul broke out into insane laughter when he discovered the mistake Kid had made. The girls in the group giggled and Tsubaki lead Kid into the house, offering to give him a real belt instead of using Black-Star's scarf.
Black-Star made sure to make plenty of comments on the way over to Kid's house to the point of him having to have ice put on to his face to prevent swelling.
Life, it can cause you to make silly mistakes like using a scarf as a belt...that actually isn't a bad idea now that I think about it.
