The Russian Vixen asked for a chapter about Black-Star upsetting Blair enough to make her turn him into a cat and Black-Star goes to Kid for help.

I'm not sure how well this is going to turn out.

64) Blue Kitten

"I'm late, I'm late!" Black-Star shouted to himself as he ran through Death City. "He's going to kill me!" The star kept running, dodging past people and jumping over items in his way. He didn't see Blair in her cat form walking across the sidewalk and he ended up tripping over her. "Stupid cat!" Black-Star scoffed, not seeing that it was Blair and continued running.

"'Stupid cat'?" Blair let out an evil purr. "We'll see who the stupid cat is."

Black-Star was still running, ignoring the strange feeling that he felt course throughout his body, blaming it on the slightly chilly whether. He neared Kid's house when he started to notice himself getting shorter, was he running down a hill or something? He kept going and at one point his arm started to itch, so he scratched his arm and when the itch would not go away, he looked at it and saw a tuff of blue hair on him.

"What the hell?" The star asked, only several feet away from the front door of the shinigami's house. He let out a curse and shook his arm, thinking the fur would just go away, but instead it spread out farther on his body. "I don't like the looks of thi-" Black-Star's sentence was cut off with a strange meow coming our of the mouth. "The hell?" The star asked then he started to pound on Kid's door.

"One minute please." Kid's voice called from behind the door. Black-Star tried to say Kid's name, but only a loud meow came out.

What the hell is this?

Black-Star started to scratch his face and he felt his fingers touch more hair...was it fur? The star fell to his knees and when he looked at his hands, they had rounded and his nails grew out into thin claws. He watched as his hands became paws before his very eyes.

Am I becoming a cat? How!?

Black-Star slammed his eyes shut and when he reopened them, he was eye level with the cat door Kid had added for Blair to walk in since he had gotten sick and tired of the girl forgetting to close the door when she randomly visited.

Wait...Blair!

"Hello?" Kid said after opening the door.

Kiddo!

The shinigami looked around for someone and Black-Star let out a squeak to make Kid look down at him. "A cat?" Kid sighed and flicked his hands towards Black-Star. "Go on, shoo."

Don't tell me to 'shoo'.

Black-Star let out an irritated mew and tried to walk into the house.

"Oh no you don't." Kid used his foot to cut Black-Star off. "I already have one odd colored cat harassing my house, I don't need another one."

Black-Star jumped over the shinigami's foot and entered the house anyways.

"Get back here." Kid quickly turned around and picked Black-Star off of the ground. "If Patty sees you, she'll never let you leave." Kid muttered to himself and turned the cat around to face him. "A blue-haired cat, you kind of remind me of Black-Star." Kid scoffed. "The idiot's late, again."

I tried my best!

"Maybe I'll keep you here. Black-Star might be amused by seeing a cat with the same hair and eye color as him." Kid chuckled. "There could be quite a few inappropriate jokes about that."

You can put me outside now.

"Where is he anyways?" Kid mused and without thinking he hugged Black-Star to his chest as he went back over to the door. "He sometimes makes me question why I ever agreed to go out with him."

It's because I'm so awesome.

Black-Star let out a purr and quickly made a strange face. That was something he did not want to do again.

"Blair, is that you?" Kid called out into the night.

"Hello Kid, Black-Star."

"Black-Star?" Kid raised an eyebrow. "Black-Star's not here."

"Look in your hands." The cat purred.

"You did not."

"He stepped on my tail." Blair protested. Black-Star let out a hiss towards the cat.

It was an accident!

"Can you change him back?" Kid asked after using a hand to shut Black-Star's mouth.

"It's a times spell, I can't change him back right now." Blair stated.

"How long?"

"He should be back to normal in the morning, have fun you two." Blair sang as she walked off.

"Great, now I'm stuck with you." Kid huffed and closed the door to his house.

You weren't complaining the other night.

"Why is it that I feel like I already know the immature response you had to that statement?" Kid asked himself and dropped Black-Star to the ground. One of Black-Star's ears twitched and he followed the shinigami to his bedroom. "No." Kid shoved the star out of the room and shut the door.

I'm a cat, it's not like I can do anything.

Black-Star faced the door and remembering what he's seen Blair do before, he went back on his hind legs and used his forepaws to pound on the door several times.

"Go away Black-Star!" Kid snapped. Black-Star ignored Kid and continued attacking the door with his paws. "Damn it!" Kid threw open the door and glared at Black-Star before going back into the room. "You're even more annoying as a cat." Kid said and crawled into his bed.

I wasn't annoying as a human.

Black-Star let out a huff before he sat down and stared up at Kid, letting out a soft mew as if asking for permission.

"Get up here you idiot." Kid rolled his eyes. Black-Star bunched up his hind legs before leaping up, landing right on the ledge and having to use his back legs to help him up all the way. "Harder than it looks, isn't it?" Kid chuckled.

Ha, ha, very funny.

"I guess we can still watch the movie." Kid said and pressed 'play' on the controller in his hand. Black-Star laid down next to Kid, but had to adjust himself several times in order to be comfortable and be able to see the screen at the same time. At one point, Kid absent mindedly started petting Black-Star's side and the star couldn't prevent the purr from coming put and the shinigami laughed at Black-Star. Kid eventually dozed off and Black-Star yawned before stretching himself out and going over to Kid's body.

I've always wondered about this.

Black-Star lightly poked Kid's side and when the shinigami did nothing he crawled up on Kid's chest and curled up into a tight ball. Black-Star fell asleep as well, being calmed down by the feeling of Kid's chest moving as he breathed.

Kid woke up and felt something pressing against his chest, he opened his eyes and found Black-Star laying across him. The shinigami ran his hand through Black-Star's hair and smiled when the boy let out a murmur and adjusted himself.

"Kiddo?" Black-Star opened one eye. "Am I still a cat?" He asked.

"Nope." Kid grinned before sitting up and pushing Black-Star back. He sat down on the star's hips and pinned Black-Star's hands to the sides of his head. "But you're still in trouble for being late last night."

"Wha-"

"Shut up. You're going to enjoy this punishment." Kid winked before leaning forward and giving the star a kiss.
