69) Valentine's Party
Maka stepped out of the shower, humming a song she had heard on the radio when her alarm went off to wake her. It was Saturday, but she fears of never waking up if she didn't have an alarm. Maka took one towel and wrapped it around her head, she was reaching for the other one when the bathroom door suddenly opened.
"Oh shit!" Soul quickly slapped his hand over his eyes.
"Shut the door!" Maka screamed.
"Sorry!" Soul cried and shut the door. The boy stood there, stunned, hand still over his face.
"Try knocking next time, asshole." Maka said from behind the door.
"Sorry." Soul said, finally removing his hand.
"Just go answer the phone." Maka said and a second later, the house phone went off.
"How did you..."
"The bathroom light flickers right before the phone goes off, remember?" Maka stated.
"How does that work?" Soul asked.
"Go get the phone!" Maka snapped.
"Happy Valentine's Day!" Soul called before taking off to answer the phone. "Soul Eater residence, you kill 'em we grill 'em." Soul paused and listened to the other person speak. "Sure we can come over...do you want us to bring anything...okay...okay...see ya then."
"What's up?" Maka asked, entering the room fully clothed and still wearing the towel on her head.
"We're invited to a party." Soul said.
"Do we need to bring anything?"
"Just a rose."

Black-Star let out a laugh when Kid jumped on his back and started messing up his hair.
"Cut it out Kiddo." Black-Star fell toward on to the floor.
"You started it." Kid protested and began tickling the star's sides.
"St-stop it." Black-Star gasped.
"Do you surrender?" Kid asked.
"Never!" Black-Star exclaimed and turned himself around. "I'll never surrender."
"So you say." Kid chuckled and continued tickling. Black-Star got up and lifted Kid with him. "Put me down!" Kid demanded.
"Okay." Black-Star took a step back, threw Kid on the couch and climbed on top of him. "Happy Valentine's Day." He whispered before giving a kiss.
"I'm shocked that you remembered." Kid smirked.
"Shut up." Black-Star kissed Kid again. Kid wrapped his arms and legs around Black-Star and lifted himself up. "Impatient much?"
"Now you can shut up." Kid said and nipped at the star's neck. Kid trailed his tongue up Black-Star's neck when his cellphone went off.
"Ignore it." Black-Star kissed Kid's jawline.
"I can't." Kid grabbed his phone and answered it. "Death the Kid, you kill it, I'll find it."
"I can't believe you used it." Black-Star chuckled.
"At what time?" Kid ignored the star. "Should we bring anything...no problem...yes...alright, see you then." Kid shut the phone. "We've been invited to a party." Kid said.
"When?"
"Two hours."
"Do we have enough time?"
"We'll rush it." Kid threw his phone aside and kissed Black-Star. "And we have to bring a rose as well."

Marie balanced the tray with one had while opening the door to Stein's lab with the other.
"I got you some tea Stein." Marie said and sat the tray down on a table. "Stein..." Marie put her hands on her hips, tapping her foot impatiently. Marie sighed and went over to the professor and put her hands on his shoulders. "Frankie." She whispered into the man's ear.
"Don't call me that." Stein muttered and rolled away.
"You're no fun." Marie giggled and sat on the desk.
"I'm a scientist Marie." Stein stated.
"Whatever. So, what'cha doing?" Marie sang and swung her legs.
"Wait a moment." Stein said. Marie looked at the desk and saw scrape pieces of pink and red paper, glue puddles and glitter spilled everywhere. "Do you remember what today is?"
"I'm a genius, aren't I?" Stein rolled himself back over to Marie and handed her a heart shaped card.
"Aw...Stein!" Marie cried and hugged the man.
"It's just some paper and glitter." Stein muttered.
"And you didn't kill anything today!" Marie sniffed and hugged the man tighter.
"Don't get your hopes up." Stein stated and hugged Marie back.
"You're so sweet." Marie kissed Stein's cheek. The two parted when the phone went off. "I'll get it." Marie picked up the phone. "Stein's house, you kill it, we dissect it."
"When did we start using that?" Stein asked, taking a sip of tea.
"We'd love to come...sure, we can bring that...okay...yes...yes...see ya." Marie hung up the phone.
"Do I have to socialize?"
"Yes and we need to buy a rose."

Free let out a snort as he changed positions on the couch. Eruka crossed her arms and sighed, this isn't how she planned on spending Valentine's Day at all. Eruka huffed and grabbed acup of water, standing above the sleeping wolf.
"Get up." She said and dumped the water on Free's face.
"Watch out for the iceburg!" Free screamed and sat up.
"What?"
"Nothing..." Free yawned and stretched. "What time is it?"
"February fourteenth." Eruka huffed.
"I know that, but I need to know the time." Free looked over Eruka's shoulder and read the clock. "Right on time!" He chuckled and ran out of the room.
"What are you doing!?" Eruka exclaimed.
"Happy Valentine's Day!" Free cheered and jumped back into the room with a plain brown box.
"Oh...uh..." Eruka tilted her head.
"Open it." Free sang. Eruka grabbed the lid of the box, opened it and squealed when she saw the gift inside. "Cute, huh?"
"I love it!" Eruka pulled a small puppy with a large pink bow tied around its neck out of the box. "I'm sorry I doubted you." Eruka said and hugged the puppy to her chest.
"Never underestimate an immortal." Free chuckled.
"Yeah, yeah." Eruka kissed the puppy's head and the phone went off. Free waved his hand and answered the phone.
"Free's house, you missed it, so kiss it...oh, hey man...yeah, sure...yep...sure...bye."
"What is it?" Eruka asked.
"Do you know where we can get a rose?"

Giriko mumbled to himself as he flicked through the channels, not satisfied with anything on tv. Justin entered the room with a jar of chocolate spread wrapped up in red paper.
"What are you doing?" Justin asked.
"What does it look like I'm doing?" Giriko scoffed.
"Do you know what today is?"
"Saturday."
"What month?"
"February."
"The day?" Justin said with impatience.
"Fourteenth? What's with all of the damn questions?" Giriko snapped, sitting up.
"Do you know what today is?"
"I am not repeating the date again."
"Valentine's Day, Giriko!" Justin snapped.
"The hell is that!?" Giriko snapped back.
"What?" Justin asked. "You don't know what Valentine's Day is?"
"Do you really think I grew up with holidays?" Giriko muttered.
"Oh...well, happy Valentine's Day." Justin tossed the gift at the saw.
"Do I need to get you something?"
"Just open the gift and you'll know what to do." Justin chuckled. Giriko shrugged and unwrapped the gift, smirking when he discovered it was chocolate spread. Giriko jumped off of the couch and planted a big kiss on Justin.
"Happy Valentine's Day." Giriko said. The phone went off and spoiled the mood. "I'll get it." Giriko growled. "Giriko's morgue, you kill it, we chill it and if not we'll chop it to pieces."
"I told you not to answer the phone like that." Justin snapped.
"Me? Out of all people?" Giriko ignored the younger man. "You sure...fine...he'll come too...yes...why the hell...fine...bye." Giriko sighed. "Where the hell do we get a rose?"

The five groups of two entered the DWMA with their roses, all different colors. Black-Star carried a blue rose, Stein had a purple rose, Free had a black rose, Giriko had a white one and Soul carried a bright red rose.
"Finally, you're here." Spirit greeted the group.
"What is this all for?" Kid asked.
"I'm surprised you can walk, Kid." Soul muttered. Kid slapped him over the head and then hit Black-Star for laughing.
"You're not doing it hard enough if he's walking." Giriko chuckled. Justin hit Giriko before Kid could.
"Enough, give me your roses." Spirit said. Spirit took the roses and tied them up into one bouquet. "Time to party." He said before leading the group into the Death room where Lord Death and others were having a party. "Happy Valentine's Day!" Spirit handed the flowers to a pretty woman.
"I feel used." Free muttered.
"Just eat the chocolate." Eruka said, pointing at a large bufett of chocolate treats.
