Chapter 7
Escape
Maureen woke up to the door opening to her cell.
"Get up!" an imperial officer said impatiently
"Why?" Maureen asked
"Your execution."
"Execution?!" she asked in alarm and the officer grabbed her by the arms.
When they walked by an empty corridor, Maureen beat the one officer unconscious . "I need to get out of here before the guards figure out what happened." Maureen said running to the end of the corridor. Then she suddenly bumped into a human figure.

Fives finally figured a way out of his cell and want into the empty corridor. "Where did-" he said before someone ran into him. When Fives looked down, he saw a young woman. "Sorry mam, need some help?" he asked offering his hand, the woman accepted his help.
"Thank you, my name is Maureen, what's your name?"
"My friends call me, Fives." he said
"Well, thank you, Fives. Do you know how to get out of this prison?"
"Sure, I do. I've been in this prison million times, and broke out every single time." Fives said
"How did you get caught, anyway? You don't look like a criminal." Maureen said
Fives sighed "I am wanted by the Empire, I am AWOL."
"Why would you go AWOL?"
"Order 66."
"What is Order 66?"
"Execute Jedi."
"You just ran away, didn't you?" Maureen asked and he nodded.
Then they heard marching coming close. "We have to leave now!" Fives said grabbing Maureen by the arm, then they ran off toward the exit. They finally got to the door.
"Now what?" Maureen asked
"Hold on." Fives said putting in a passcode
"Access denied." Fives put in another passcode "Access denied."
"Well, they changed the code, that means we have to hot wire." Fives said
"I don't know how to hot wire."
"That's fine, I need someone to look out anyway, watch to see if any of the Imperial guys find us." Fives said getting under the council beginning to take the cover off.
After a couple of minutes Fives was still working at hot wiring the door.
"Are you almost done?" Maureen asked
"Just about, this is harder than I thought, and I have done a lot of hot wiring." Fives said
"Well, I hear marching coming this way." Maureen said
"Ah, well, they're a couple corridors away, they march loudly." Fives said "Also, they can be very annoying at times, got it." The door started to open loudly. "We need to run starting… now."
Maureen was running full speed until she accidentally bumped into Fives. "You like bumping into people, don't you?"
"Not really, just deep in thought." Maureen said getting off the ground
"Well, we found a transportation off this rock, then I can bring you to my friends."
"I am actually needed back at my home world." Maureen said
"Not budging, we are going to my friends, I am already late as is." Fives said "Our time is up get in the ship." Maureen had no choice and she walked up the ramp.
"You do know how to fly a ship… right?" Maureen asked
"Of course, now strap in, we are going into hyperspace."

They finally arrived at Naboo. "We are entering the atmosphere now." Fives said
"You know how to land a ship, don't you?" Maureen asked
"Nope." Fives said with humor in his eyes.
"What?!" Maureen asked horrified
"Landing in 3…2…1…" Fives said and Maureen covered her eyes "You can open your eyes now."
"Am I dead?" Maureen asked uncovering her eyes
"No, actually the complete opposite."
"You said you didn't know how to land a ship." Maureen said pointing accusingly at Fives
"Joking." Fives said laughing
"You think this is funny?" Maureen asked and Fives nodded still laughing
"Let's go find them. I am always late to these things and they are always ahead." Fives said getting serious
"Right." Maureen said and got out of her seat. "Great, going with a lunatic to some planet I don't even know, to find these people, I don't even know." Maureen muttered
"Okay, here's everyones' ships, so where is everyone? Guess we have to walk through the woods."
"Through the woods? I don't think so. I have no clue of who or what is in there." Maureen said
"I've been in there, most of the stuff in there is harmless."
"Most?"
"Sure, I've been attacked by a creature in there, but that was far out into the woods."
"That makes me feel a lot better." Maureen said sarcastically
"You'll get used to it." Fives said
"Just exactly, can I get used to it?"
"Just come with me. You'll be safe especially with my friends."
"Fine." Maureen said walking by Fives side through the woods
A couple minutes later Fives heard muffled voices.
"What if-" Maureen started to say until Fives interrupted her
"Shh." Fives said listening closely to silence
"What is it? I don't hear anything."
"Shhh!" Fives said "This way." Fives pointed in a direction
"Where are you going?" Maureen asked running to his side
"They are this way." Fives said
"Sure, they are."
"Believe me, they are."
"Fine."
When they walked a little farther they could see human forms. "There they are." Fives said walking through a couple bushes.
"Wait!" Maureen said running toward him
When she passed the last bush they had their blasters pointing at them.

All of a sudden they heard someone call out 'Wait!' They all turned around as one and pulled out their blasters. Two forms came out of the bushes.
"Mom!" Michelle said running out of the group to hug her.
"Good to see you okay, Fives." Rex said and Fives nodded
"Yes, well, if you say getting captured by the Empire ok then yes."
"Not again, Fives." Rex said
"Well, what do you expect from a reckless ARC trooper?" Kix said
"You know what, I really don't know." Echo said
"Says an ARC trooper."
"Quit you yammering." an unknown voice called
"Who said that?" Kix said
"I hurt my elbow!" Fives said bursting out laughing and fell over
"Quiet!" the voice called again "Before I blast your heads off."
"That's not very welcoming." Ahsoka said
"You, and what army?" Rex asked looking into the dark woods.
"This army." The voice said and stormtroopers came out of the bushes, blasters ready. "We don't want any bloodshed do we, Rex?"
"Can't say we do, but if we must, we shall, Cody." Rex said
"So be it, just should have turned yourself in at the beginning. Fire!" Cody said and everything went black…
