Chapter 12
Rescue
### couple days later
"Today's the day, are nervous?" Chopper asked
"Are you kidding? I am excited, we finally get to rescue Echo." Michelle said
"Do you trust me?" Chopper asked and Michelle nodded "Good." Chopper then put binders on Michelle's' wrists. "Don't worry, just do everything they ask and you will be fine. Also, I will get you after I have secured Echo."
"Okay, but what are they going to do to me?" Michelle asked
"They are probably going to put you into a cell, and ask for information. Don't tell the truth to them, never believe them, they will lie to you to get information out of you." Chopper said walking towards the speeder with Michelle.

"Echo, I need you on guard duty at the cell blocks." Jeff said over the commlink
"Yes, sir." Echo said turning the commlink off and putting his helmet on. Echo walked to the cell block entrance.
"Name?" the guard asked
"Echo." he said
"Okay, I need you to go to cell number 12 and take the prisoner to the testing center." the guard said
"Yes, sir." Echo said walking toward the cell doors. Echo slid a card into the slot and the door automatically opened. "Get up you, prisoner scum." The prisoner got up from the bed and walked up to Echo. "Turn around, put your arms behind your back." Echo brought out his binders and cuffed him.
"You know, you're on the wrong side, you know?" the prisoner asked
"Keep quiet." Echo said leading him to the testing center. They walked through the doors and they were greeted with long and painful screams.
"Well, my time is up then." he said and a droid came up to them.
"Prisoner 1126, follow me, please." the droid said rolling away. Echo followed behind them for security, when they reached the room Echo cuffed him to the chair and he walked outside to talk to the droid.
"What is going to happen to him?" Echo asked to the droid
"Prisoner 1126, is going to be injected with a prototype of healing twice as fast, but we don't know if he will survive, considering this is our first try." the droid said and he rolled back into the room. After a couple of minutes guarding the door he heard a scream coming from inside the room, then silence. The droid came out of the room with a datapad. "The testing failed, sadly the prisoner didn't survive." the droid said leaving the covered corpse on the testing table.
'That's kind of harsh.' Echo thought giving the corpse one last look and turned to leave the awful center, and started walking back toward the cell block.
"You're back early, where is the prisoner?" the guard asked
"Gone." Echo said to the guard
"Gone? What do you mean gone?" he asked
"Dead, sir." Echo said motionless.
"Such a tragedy, anyway, you need to be on guard duty at the prisons' mess hall. Although, you should be careful, it could be messy there at times." he said
"Yes, sir." Echo said walking toward the mess hall, when he got to the balcony he noticed a little girl among the prisoners. "Hey, who is that little girl?" Echo asked the closest stormtrooper.
"She's new, she was one of the people who bombed the headquarters." the stormtrooper said
"Actually," the girl said " we didn't bomb it, we only blew up the front door." she yelled up.
"Hey, be quiet down there." the trooper said
"Then say it on the inner-comms not yell where everyone can hear. Oh, by the way this 'she' has a name you know? Di'kuts!" she yelled up
"You better shut your mouth, before I blast your head off your shoulders." the trooper said pointing his gun at her head.
"Prisoner 1309, you are to be sent back to your cell." the lower trooper said
"I REGRET NOTHING!" she yelled laughing and running through the doors and out of their sights.
"I am going to kill her one day." the trooper said
"Wait, what? One day?" Echo asked
### earlier
"Okay, I will be a guard for the prison side of the base, all you have to do is distract the guards, I don't care how just do it." Chopper said leading Michelle toward the base.
"Halt, who do you have with you?" the entrance guard asked
"This is one of the people who bombed the headquarters." Chopper said pushing Michelle lightly in front of him.
"Don't touch me!" Michelle yelled trying to take the binders off. "How did you catch her?" the trooper asked
"Found her trying to steal weapons at the gun shop in town." Chopper said
"A little young isn't she, to have guns?" he asked
"Don't underestimate me, I am smarter and stealthier than 10 stormtroopers combined." Michelle said
"I doubt that, take her to the cell block, they will know what to do with her there." the guard said unlocking the doors.
When they got to the cell block, Michelle got a shot indicating that she is now Prisoner 1309. "Prisoner 1309, you're to be silent at all times, no matter what. You will go to your cell and stay there, the only time you are allowed out is for meals and going to the prison gym. You're also on security cameras all hours, oh, and one more thing, have fun." the guard said sarcastically
### present time
"Nothing, I need help in the storage room, can you give me a hand?" the trooper asked and Echo nodded. When they got to the storage room, the trooper turned around he pointed his gun at Echo.
"Wh- What are you doing?!" Echo asked backing up
"Don't worry, I won't kill you, vod." he said pressing the trigger, and Echo's body slumped to the floor. "Sorry, vod, I had to do it for your own good." Chopper grabbed Echo and put him on his shoulder "Now, to find Michelle."
When they reached Michelle's cell, Chopper opened the door, Michelle got up and ran toward the exit.
"What about the cameras?" Michelle asked
"They are temporarily jammed right now, but we should hurry they could unjam any second now." Chopper said running though the door and to the speeder.

"Sir, the cameras just unjammed, and we only got a glimpse of the terrorists." a trooper said to Jeff.
"Let me see." Jeff said walking over to the monitor. "Just like Vader said, he is a clone, and they got Echo back, great, Vader won't be happy."
"I won't be happy about what?" Vader asked walking in accompanied by Captain Rex.
"Oh, Lord Vader, didn't expect you to come now, they finally came, and they got Echo." Jeff said
"Do they show their faces?" Vader asked
"Yes, sir." Jeff said giving Vader his datapad
Vader looked at the close up of the clone and Vader crushed the datapad and all that was left was dust. "Chopper." Vader said angerily and stormed off followed by Rex.
"My datapad :'(." Jeff said looking at the remains of his datapad

" I can't believe this actually worked." Michelle said sitting in the passenger seat.
"How is Echo?" Chopper asked
"Still unconscious, just like the other times you asked."
"Good." Chopper said looking away from the road.
"I would look at the road if I were you." Michelle said
"Why?" Chopper asked
"We could get into an accident." Michelle said
"Trust me, I have been through this road many of times." Chopper said
"That doesn't mean it could happen now." Michelle said
"Whatever you say." Chopper said looking back at the road
"Good, you listen to me for once." Michelle said
"What does that supposed to mean?" Chopper asked warily
"I am just messing around with you." Michelle said laughing
"Ha ha, that joke was so funny, I forgot to laugh." Chopper said dryly
"Oh, lighten up Chopper." Michelle said giving him a playful punch.
When they got to the hospital they ran Echo inside. "Dad!" Michelle yelled through the hallways. After a couple of minutes, Brian came out with dark lined eyes.
"Yes? Oh, you got Echo, here I will go get a stretcher for you, Chopper." Brian said starting to turn around
"No need." Chopper said
"Very well, follow me." Brian said walking in the direction of the x-ray rooms. When they got to a room, Chopper put him on the examination table. After the examination Brian came out of the room. "There is nothing wrong with him, except he isn't himself."
" How is that possible?" Michelle asked
"He was gassed, by the Empire scum!" Chopper said
"Settle down, Chopper, we got him back and that is the good thing, he isn't harmed so we should be grateful they didn't." Michelle said
"Says the girl who hasn't been captured before." Chopper yelled
"I have they almost erased my memory because of it." Michelle yelled back
"That's hardly a threat, they threw you out right after, not get taken with them."
"You know, I could save everyone on my own. I don't need you, you don't need me, so you can take Echo, and you can figure the rest out." Michelle yelled leaving the room.
"Fine, but I don't want you crawling back needing help." Chopper yelled after her.

"Sir, do you want me to go after the deserter?" Rex asked
"No need Captain, they will be back don't worry." Vader said "Never let your guard down."
"With all-due respect, sir, I never do." Rex said
Then a trooper came running to them. "Sir, there is something you need to see." he said handing Vader a datapad "When we took some blood, it showed the girl was well... force-sensitive, but we didn't test the blood until after they left. Her name is Michelle, and she has never left her home planet Mandalor, not since her school incident." he said turning around and was running back to the command center.
"A force sensitive child? That can't be, I killed every last jedi in person." Vader said
"Sir, is there anything I can do to help?" Rex asked
"Yes, go to the town and find her and kill her. If you find the deserter, bring him back alive, Captain." Vader said
"Yes, sir!" Rex said running toward the exit.
After Rex left alarms started going off with red blinking lights. Vader searched through the force to find the problem. The enemy was at the command center with an unknown weapon through the force. When Vader got to the room the door swished open to find a female figure insider. Vader ignited his lightsaber. "Jedi." he said and lunged right for her.

Author's Note: Just made it, like I promised I said I would post another chapter Thursday, I did, but it might upload on the website Friday. So, don't get mad if it does. Cliff hangers on all parts, I know, but the next will be just as good. I hope you enjoyed this chapter many more to come! I might do mini chapters every week but it depends.
