Author's Note: I know I haven't updated in... well... couple weeks, yes I know. I just started high school and had to learn the ropes, so wasn't relaxing that whole time. The meeting went better than hoped! It was really great to get to see them :D The woman at the beginning will appear a little later in the story. Different will have to be on hold for a couple more months at least. Someone has put in a request for me to do a version of 'A New Hope' with some very special characters. This should be coming around by next month, hopefully. :)

Chapter 15

Breakout

Gayle ran out of the hospital toward the direction of the Imperial base 'Why am I going back there?" Gayle shook her head and ran into the woods.

When Gayle came up to the Imperial base she gasped "What has happened to this place? Gayle asked looking at all the lookout posts and guards everywhere.

Gayle walked up to the entrance and was stopped by the guards. "Halt, who are you and why are you here?" one guard asked

"I am Gayle, Vader talk me to go do something and that is what I did."

"Likely story, Vader left 15 minutes ago and never said anything about you." the second guard said

"That's impossible, he would never leave without me." Gayle said folding her hands across her chest stubbornly.

"He just did, now, GO!" Both yelling "Or, we will shoot you."

"Fine, I will." Gayle said turning around on her heal and headed back toward the woods.

Michelle turned a corner and was standing right in front of the door her dad asked her to go to. Michelle walked into the room and stood by her father. "You wanted to see me?" Michelle asked

"Yes, see this? Do you know who he is?" Brian asked

"Yeah, that's Rex. Wait... he is supposed to be with the Empire." Michelle said

"He showed up a little while ago it seems, but I don't see anything wrong with him. Minus the scars and bruises."

"Well, that is one less person to save." Michelle said

"Wait!" Someone yelled in the doorway. Michelle turned around to see the worried face of Gayle. Michelle was about to say something, but then everything went black.

Gayle watched helplessly as her friend dropped to the ground.

"That went better than expected, all thanks to your distraction, Lord Vader will be very pleased." Rex said bowing his head toward Gayle.

"Only thing is, he left the planet." Gayle said

"You're wrong, he wouldn't leave without the outcome of the mission." Rex said scowling.

"But, he did, can't do anything about it." Gayle lifted her blaster. "Sorry, I have to do this." she said firing the blaster and Rex's unconscious form landed with a 'thud'

Michelle woke up to an agonizing pain in her head and side.

"Want a painkiller?" Gayle asked from the side of her bed.

"Please?" Michelle asked and winced when she felt the needle on her neck. "What happened?"

"A stormtrooper shot you in the side and made you unconscious." Gayle said

"That's just great." Michelle said

"Good news is, you just need a couple hours of sleep and wrapped up and you are going to be good." Gayle said and Michelle nodded

"Oh, by the way,I got the stormtrooper, he's only unconscious not a scratch. Well, not including the ones he had before. Anyways, he is in one of the rooms asleep.

Michelle nodded and then the scene came flowing through her head. She bolted up in a seating position and grabbed at her head.

"Lay down, Michelle." Gayle said lightly pushing her back down.

"Chopper, where is he? Is he okay?" Michelle asked. "What about Echo?"

"They are both fine. Luckily, the stormtrooper didn't try to get them back." Gayle said and Michelle relaxed a little.

"What about Rex?"

"The stormtrooper?" Gayle asked and Michelle nodded " He's fine, too."

Once Michelle felt better she went to go meet Chopper.

"Hey, kid." Chopper said from the bed with a faint smile

"How do you feel?" Michelle asked sitting in the seat next to him.

"I feel fine." Chopper said rolling his eyes. "Honestly, I have been through worse."

"Uh huh, right." Michelle said

"I do."

"Yes, well, we have Rex now." Michelle said and Chopper's eyes widened "What?"

"If I know the Captain correctly, he will find a way out of here."

"He is being-" then all of a sudden the alarms started to go off.

"That would be him alright." Chopper said rolling his eyes.

"I will be right back." Michelle said running out of the door.

"He always finds a way to make a scene." Chopper muttered shaking his head.

Rex was about to get up and run, but then he heard the door swish open. The doctor came up to him and started to scan him. Rex got up and surprised the doctor, and Rex shoved him hard to the wall and the doctor fell unconscious. Then, all of a sudden alarms started to go off. Rex looked closer to the wall and saw he shoved the doctor onto a alarm button.

'Kriff!' Rex thought "That's is just great." he scowled and Rex turned toward the door and ran out. 'I have to dins a way out of here.' he turned left and ran down the back stairway.

When he got out of the hospital he took a deep breath of relief and ran into the woods.

Michelle got down to the entrance and a guard came forward.

"He got away through the back, I was running after him, but I lost him."

Michelle scowled and turned around. "Next time, stun him." Michelle growled and walked away.

"Yes, mam." he said

"Was he caught?" Chopper asked when Michelle sat down.

"No." Michelle said

"I knew he was going to get away." Chopper said shaking his head.

"Why didn't you help?"

"I was not given the clearance, that I could get off my shebs from the doctor." Chopper said scowling

"Dad, get up here!" Michelle yelled into the commlink.
