Chapter 16

Heading Out

When Rex got to the Imperial base he was stopped by the guards.

Rex scoffed and waited for the guards to ask the same question they ask every day.

"Hello, Captain, Darth Vader wants you to meet at Ryloth for your next mission."

Rex blinked in surprise and nodded he turned and headed for one of the ships and he was off

"Yes, Michelle?" Brian asked walking into the room.

"Check Chopper, to see if he can get out of bed." Michelle said and Brian walked over to the bed and started to run tests on Chopper.

After a couple minutes Brian finished his test "You are clear to get back on 'duty' as you would say it, but any headaches, nausea, or trouble sighting come back immediately." Brian said and Chopper nodded.

Brian gave one last glance at Chopper before he left the room. Michelle walked over to the bedside and offered to help his up. Chopper refused and sat up.

"I bet Rex is already off planet by now." Chopper said scowling

"Yeah, well, anyway we can worry about him later. Right now, we need to go for someone easier." Chopper nodded and pulled out his datapad

"The next person on this list is Kix, but he is out in battle, we could wait-"

"No." Michelle said shaking her head "Aren't there other options?"

"Yes, but it won't be easy." Chopper said shaking his head slowly.

"What?" Michelle asked enthusiastically

"We would have to capture him during battle. Like I said, it's not going to be easy like Echo. Shab, Echo wasn't easy to capture." Chopper said 'ARCs. Speaking of, Fives won't be any easier like the others. He might even be as hard as getting Rex back.' He thought.

"I am up for it." Michelle smiled "Where is the battle anyway?"

"Ryloth."

"Okay then, when will we be heading out?" "We need a plan first. Maybe even a Plan A and Plan B."

"Plan A, get him when he is alone, Plan B, knock him out, grab him and run." Michelle said "Done! Let's go!"

"Wait!" Michelle stopped at the door and turned around

"What?" Michelle asked

"1, I am not dressed correctly. 2, we don't have a ship. 3. What about Echo?"

"1, Hurry up slow poke, 2, We can take my dad's. 3, We can take him with us."

"Where will we put him?"

"Simple, we can put him in a jail cell."

"We don't have one." Chopper said

"Don't we?"

"Where did you even get a jail cell?"

"My dad was an officer before he went into medical."

"He had one in the ship?"
"Four cells to be exact." Michelle said laughing

"What is so funny?" Chopper asked scowling.

"You would never understand. Come on!" Michelle said tossing his bodysuit to him, which he caught easily.

Michelle turned around and walked out of the room. She took the left and stopped in front of the door. She took a deep breath and walked in. She looked into the eyes of a stranger, the eyes of a killer.

"Let me go as an order from the Galactic Empire!" He said angrily

Michelle turned on her commlink. "Dad I… I need a sedative." Michelle choked

"Where, Michelle?"

"Echo."

"Alright, on my way." Michelle turned her commlink off and looked up to find Echo struggling with his bindings.

"It will never work, you know this, Echo, even if you are not you." Michelle said rolling her eyes

"I am not talking to you Rebel scum." Echo said

"You just did." Michelle said laughing and Echo looked away "Awh, come on, you got to admit you did something wrong."

"No."

"At least you spoke." Michelle muttered then Brian walked in with a walked up to Echo and injected him. Michelle gave a said look toward Echo as he slipped out of consciousness.

Michelle sat down in the co-pilot seat when Chopper walked in fully geared.

"Is Echo aboard?" Chopper asked adjusting his chest plate.

"Yes." Michelle said turning on the engine. "You know how to fly this craft, right?"

"Yes, but not as much experience as Echo or Fives."

"I will blame you if we crash." Michelle said

"Don't jinx it."

"Even then, you can fly this ship you can save it from crashing." Chopper and Michelle flew out in silence. "Where are we heading again?"

"Naboo." Chopper said and when Michelle looked into his eyes it had a faraway glance.

"So, tell me about Kix. Other than him working with you guys."

"He is selfless, makes sure everyone is okay before he does anything else. He's a great medic, and saved me and my brothers plenty of times before. We all owe him our lives." Chopper said coming back to reality "That's all in the past now, now he is something different thanks to the Empire." He shook his head. Chopper put in the coordinates and pressed a button and was now looking at endless blue streaks.
