So, after a lot of time the final chapter is finally out! Damn I'm slow when it comes to writing but it's been quite a lot of things to do lately, sorry!

Want to thank everyone that has reviewed, favourited and followed or just read Lessons for Life! It's been quite the experience for me since I've only done writing in private before and as you've probably noticed, English isn't my native language and I haven't been able to find someone to help me read through my stories meaning there are mistakes, sorry about that.
I might have a Beta-reader for my next Hetalia fanfic though, let's hope! Pirates, unrequited love, eternal triangles and action of course, I will love writing that one!

I certainly hope you have enjoyed the fanfic so far and will enjoy the last chapter as well and if you want to ask something or perhaps request something, feel free to send me a message!

Disclaimer: I do not own anything! Like really, I'm broke...

Chapter 7 - Lesson 7: You're awesome!

"I guess you actually succeeded. Not a major change perhaps, yet far more than I thought you would accomplish seeing that you usually don't lift a finger for anyone but yourself, if that even." The blonde male turned his blue gaze out of the window, eyeing the busy city that didn't care about rain or hard winds. That seemed to be the main attitude of the bigger, American cities though; busy and not caring about anything but their own needs and problems. It was most likely not that different in his own capital but Ludwig preferred distancing his own people from Alfred's. They were nothing alike.

"Of course I succeeded. Did you forget to whom you are talking?"

"Don't say it..."

"The awesome Gilbert, also known as Prussia! The chance of me actually failing is so slim it can be seen as non-existent. Either way, I saw the invisible boy and now everyone does as well, in some sense at least." Thank god it wasn't more though, he had already been forced to pry Francis off the blonde Canadian a couple of times and the last thing he needed was more people taking notice of the cute boy that was hiding beneath that ugly suit and glasses. Like Ivan. The mere thought made him shiver. He would obviously still stand up for the other but he might not make it out of that alive if he went up against an angry Russian.

"Ja, I was...wrong. You aren't completely selfish and worthless I guess, at least not when it comes to others. Apparently it's mostly when you are leeching off me." Gilbert smiled a bit for himself as he pulled the collar on his jacket out, petting the little bird that had made himself comfortable in the warmth but soon shut it again when a waiter passed them. Animals were strictly forbidden in there.

"Well, your tidy, organized manners kinda invites to it. I turn your place into a mess and while most people would wait for me to fix it myself you get some sort of pulsating vein in your forehead before you start cleaning. Meaning I don't have to move my ass off that couch."

Ludwig sighed quietly but couldn't deny that it was true. He wanted order and couldn't stand things being messy around him, at least not if he was suppose to work or live there.

"Do you want some more beer, sit?" The blonde looked up at the waitress that nodded against his empty glass and he thought about it for a second before nodding, picking it up and giving it to her.

"Yes. Thank you, miss." The woman smiled before grabbing Gilbert's empty glass as well since he was holding it up, going over to the bar to get them refilled while the two brothers shared a couple of minutes of silence before their beverages arrived.

"Your fourth beer. Still not comfortable with flying, are you?" Gilbert glanced over at Ludwig with a small smirk, knowing his brother never had enjoyed being shut inside those planes.

"I don't understand how you can be. The seats are so small that you always have to touch the persons beside you, screaming babies and vomiting people. Not to mention that if someone has a cold you can bet you will catch it as soon as you get onto the plane. It's a health risk getting into one of those things."

Gilbert just let out an amused huff, knowing that it was quite some times Ludwig had managed to catch a cold after flying and it was one of the few times you could actually see his big, strong brother a bit pathetic. With his drowsy eyes, red and stuffy nose and sore throat. It was also one of the few times the albino made something for the older male and gave him hot tea, tucking him in and preparing some medication. Brotherly love came in many forms and most of the time the two were fighting but they had moments where you could see that they cared for one another.

"Well, I guess you can take a boat to Germany. Might take a bit longer but you know, not as much of a health risk." He only received a small glare from the blonde man that had started to sip on his beer and Gilbert followed his example, enjoying the flavour. "I'm glad we found this place. American beer tastes awful, German stuff is the best."

"Something we agree on." Ludwig lifted his glass and with a smile Gilbert clinked his own one against it. "Prost!"

The little place where the brothers had decided to grab a drink was a German pub, serving high quality beer and wasn't too far from the airport either. Both had planes going within a couple of hours but Gilbert felt he had needed to figure our their situation since the bet would determine his living and all.

Ludwig did seem surprisingly accepting with the fact that Gilbert now could leech as much as he wanted but it could be a try to just look calm while Ludwig was cursing inside. The man didn't enjoy losing after all.

The ruby eyes moved over the wooden tables and chairs, most filled by now since it was 8 PM and they both planned on being at the airport within half an hour to make sure they were on time. Their bags had already been sent by the hotel and would be their for them to check in.

"Another beer?" Ludwig turned his blue gaze up towards the waitress that seemed to be trying to get them both drunk, offering refills seconds after their glasses got emptied. Four was enough though and he shook his head while leaning back into the chair.

"No thank you. I have a flight to catch soon." The woman nodded, looking at the albino with wondering eyes instead but he shook his head as well, firing off one of his usual, charming smiles which was something he did without even thinking. It was something that could get him a lot of things. Free stuff, free food and drinks, women, occasionally men and some place to stay whenever he was away from his brother's house. For now it had no plotting behind it though, it was a simple smile that caused the waitress to blush and his brother to roll his eyes, something Gilbert had learnt to ignore completely.

"We do not have time for you to rent a room," the blonde muttered quietly, raising an eyebrow slightly at the surprised expression on Gilbert's face before the albino let out a small chuckle.

"Oh, do not worry, bruder. She is safe from me, I have my eyes set on another price." He got up from his chair before taking out his wallet, putting a couple of bills on the table together with his brother's credit card. "There you go, I borrowed it, hope you haven't missed it."

Ludwig looked quite shocked at the little plastic card before reaching for his own wallet, quickly going through it before sending a glare to his brother.

"When did you take it?" he asked and took it from the table, putting it in one of the hidden pockets on his wallet where he always used to have it. Obviously it hadn't saved it from ending up in Gilbert's pale hands though. "You better not have spent all of my money."

"Relax, I bought some things, nothing major. Also, I took it when you went to the bathroom at the airport. Seeing that you didn't even notice until now I guess you have enjoyed this trip, not having to pay for anything."

"The few things I have paid for I have paid in cash," the man muttered, sighing for himself as he made a mental note of checking his bank account when getting home. He still had bills left he needed to spend and so it wouldn't hurt if the card was empty, still though, it would not be appreciated.

"We better grab a cab so we can come to the airport in time, would be embarrassing if we missed our flight." Ludwig just muttered something as a reply before he put the wallet in his back pocket, soon walking towards the exit. Perhaps four beers had been good for him this evening. He was surely more relaxed than he would have been if he hadn't been drinking before getting to know that Gilbert had stolen his credit card.

"Yes, I want to get home as soon as I can." The blonde male walked out of the pub, looking around a bit before he stepped out into the road and raised an arm, waving a taxi in for the both of them. With the authority the man had no taxi driver would dare to keep on driving and Gilbert had almost been sure the yellow cars on the other side of the road would make a U-turn just to heed the German's demands. It would have been quite a funny sight.

"How come you don't have your own private jet? Alfred has one. So does a lot of other countries."

"I do not put myself over my people. I'm representing them and until the day every single one in my country can get on a private jet, I won't. A lot of nations share my view, like that Matthew boy, he never puts himself above his people either."

"I don't think the nations with private jets sees themselves as bigger than their people. They just decided to make themselves comfortable." Gilbert shrugged a bit before getting into the cab after Ludwig had stepped in, looking over at the older man driving. "To the airport and hurry up."

The man glanced back at the two in the car's mirror, frowning slightly since they were quite the odd duo to get into the back seat but he shrugged slightly with a short nod. You saw weirder people walking around on the streets in the US.

He quickly found an opening in traffic and drove out, heading for the airport while the two males in the back only shared silence for now.

OooOo

The blonde Canadian had gone through his room properly. Bathroom, main room, all the possible drawers and cabinets and once he was completely sure nothing was forgotten he sighed with a happy smile on his face.

The white polar bear was spread out on the bed as usual but just to break the pattern he had chosen only two pillows to occupy instead of every single one of them. Not that it ever bothered Matthew, he tended to end up with his head beneath the pillow either way without really being able to explain why.

"It's time to go soon Kuchijarou. You shouldn't become too comfortable." He smiled a little over at his companion before taking a quick look at the clock in the room, telling him he had to be at the airport in about half an hour, wanting two hours there to make sure everything went smoothly.

7:30 PM, the day had passed by too quickly and Matthew couldn't tell really where it had gone. Gilbert's lessons were obviously one reason but also the moment they'd had, only being next to one another on the blonde's bed, listening to each other's calming breaths while thinking back on the kiss they had shared.

The thought made the blonde's cheeks heat up slightly before he sat down on the edge of the bed, remembering their quick goodbye before Gilbert had to meet his brother. Probably to return the credit card he had used to pay for everything he had bought Matthew. The blonde sighed quietly for himself with a smile, hoping Ludwig's rage wouldn't reach him. It was hardly his fault after all, right?

"Perhaps I should write a will. You'll get my whole house when I die, you better take care of it properly. That and my hockey team, I want them to keep on winning." He turned a serious glance over at Kumajirou who just tipped his head a bit to the side before ignoring him, deciding the pillows needed more of his attention. "Guess someone will have to help you... Alfred's team is pretty good as well though the chance is big he wouldn't do a good job just so he could beat me. I'll ponder on that when I get home." Apparently he was very serious with his last will. Ludwig could be pretty scary when he lost his temper, even if most nations were used to it by now from the meetings.

The time ticked by slowly and soon enough the nation couldn't just lie there, it was boring and even if the polar bear seemed more than comfortable Matthew soon picked him up with one arm and then took his bag in the other, making his way out of the room.

This weekend had passed by quickly yet the hotel room felt very familiar to him, probably because his and Gilbert's looked pretty much exactly the same and it was in those two rooms the Canadian had spent a lot of his time. Not to mention it was the two places he could feel at least a bit safe from the albino's lessons since most lessons took place outside where he could embarrass himself in front of the other nations, or regular American citizens.

Still, he felt he had grown this weekend. Perhaps not in the eyes of others as much as in his own but he was happy with the small changes because it had boosted his confidence surprisingly much. All because one selfish Prussian wanted to leech off his brother.

Yes, Gilbert had told Matthew about how it all started and while the albino first thought the other would get mad Matt had just laughed.

It wasn't really a surprise, it sounded exactly like something Gil would do but the blonde had seen a different side of the boasting nation and it had been an experience he wouldn't forget in the first place.

"Hungry." Matthew glanced down at his little friend and frowned slightly, thinking that the voice hadn't really belonged to Kumajirou. "I'm stuck here until tomorrow... Stupid plane, not working." Now the blonde was sure it wasn't his polar bear muttering and when he looked up he noticed Francis walking around aimlessly in the hallway, a big, baby pink bag dragging behind him and an expression on his face that could be best described as depressed.

"Problems?" Matthew asked, polite as usual and he couldn't just leave the Frenchman wandering this hallways as a ghost, because most guests not knowing him would most likely think the hotel was haunted.

"Ah, mon chéri, Yes, in fact, I have huge problems. My private plane, it has technical difficulties and so I won't be able to leave until tomorrow." He let out an exaggerated sigh before shaking his head a bit. "I was hoping to get home, be served an amazing, French dinner on the plane and then go to sleep in my extra big chair. Though instead I'm stuck here eating hamburgers and fries named after me, sleeping in a hotel again, mon dieu."

"They do have French restaurants here you know. Alfred might like his fast food but his country do have a lot of fine dining as well. You can probably find tons of French chefs that would happily cook something for a confirmed Frenchman like yourself." Matthew glanced down at the clock he had on his wrist, wanting to make sure he wasn't running late but he could still stay for a little bit, only to get the older blonde to accept his fate and make the best out of it.

"I guess...you're right. I have lost some of my better chefs to the so called American dream, wanting to teach students here instead of in France. A waste, really, though I guess it means I can eat proper food here as well." He shrugged a bit before letting out a sigh, soon turning his clear, blue eyes to the Canadian. "Would you like to join me perhaps? It was such a long time since you visited France, my seat is big enough for two on the way home." He said it with such an innocent tone in his voice but Matthew knew better than to believe nothing was in the back of the man's head when he suggested something like that.

"As much as a nice, French dinner would have been appreciated my plane is leaving soon and I need to get home. Paper work and such, hockey finals coming up in my country, wouldn't want to miss that, and most likely other things just waiting for me. I'll make sure to come and visit you sometime though." The perverted ways of the older nation could make him uncomfortable but Francis had always been the one noticing him and staying by his side when no one else seemed to see him and so the man had a special place in Matthew's life. Not special enough for them to share a chair on the flight to France but enough for the boy to make an effort to see the other blonde more often than he did now.

"Ah, a shame. Still, I'm looking forward to being visited by my sweet ange, take care." He leaned forward and gave the smaller nation a kiss on each cheek, at the same time drawing him into a hug that smelled of cologne and just as before Mattie had to twist his body to not squeeze Kumajirou who by now was awake and not happy with the intruder. "I'll see you within a month, I hope." He waved softly at the boy before he started to wander the hallways once more, perhaps hoping for a chance to sneak up on Arthur and invite him to French cuisine instead.

"We better try to hurry up a bit now," Matthew murmured into the soft fur of his friend as he stepped into the elevator and watched the doors slowly closing. "You smell of Francis' cologne now, we'll probably need to bathe you when we get home." He got a small growl as a reply but didn't care much about it since he knew Kumajirou wasn't too fond of being forced into the bathtub but he couldn't have a Francis smelling polar bear either.

"Perhaps you're lucky enough that it will go away." He hugged the bear close to his chest before he watched the doors open once more.

He was soon out on the street, trying to wave in a cab but they all passed by him and the blonde sighed quietly as he took a step out, an attempt to make himself look bigger or something like that. He couldn't become more ignored after all but still, no luck.

After almost five minutes one of the yellow cars finally stopped by him and the young blonde lit up a bit, at least until he felt a heavy hand on his shoulder that threatened to push him through the concrete that was the side walk.

"Ah, comrade Matvey. You're heading to the airport as well? Let's share this cab then." Matthew glanced over at the big hand on his shoulder before slowly turning to the Russian instead while the cab driver got out of the car to get their bags. That explained why the car finally stopped, it was not because of Matthew.

"Ivan, hey... Well, sure, I'm running a bit late and the cabs doesn't seem to notice me." He smiled a bit against the man before he watched the big nation open the car door. To his surprise Ivan actually held it up for him and Matthew looked a little shocked but quickly got in, nodding as a thank you before the other man walked over to the other side, almost scaring the life out of the poor driver as he grabbed his bag and put it into the car with one hand while the cab driver hadn't been able to even lift it with both. Ivan would surely have to pay a lot for the overweight or he had a private plane waiting somewhere.

Once all three males were seated in the cab the drive started and Matthew tried to look calm as he fitted his little bag in front of his legs and the polar bear in his knee while the big luggage where in the back. Ivan seemed to only have one bag, obviously filled with bricks or perhaps a dead body, that was in the back as well.

"Have your weekend been pleasant?" Matthew soon asked, feeling quite awkward with the tense silence that filled the cab.

"Da. I do not like the country nor do I like your brother but it has been good compared to what I thought it would be. That blonde man gave me some vodka from his country. It was...not too bad, for being Swedish."

The description of the man Ivan had shared vodka with had given Matthew very little since a lot of nations were blonde but he could easily put two and two together when the vodka was Swedish and the blonde mystery man had shared vodka from his own country.

"That's nice." He wondered if it truly was just not too bad or if Ivan was too proud to admit that the Swedish vodka was good though Matthew was not planning on prying. "It will surely be nice to come home though. I'm having hockey finals in my country but it's not long until the world championship comes up."

"It's soon, yes. My team is in top shape this year, we are sure to win." The Russian's lips crooked in a confident smirk as he leaned back in the seat, clearly seeing the sharp glance from the smaller nation.

"I'll let you know my team is training hard and we happen to be a favourite this year. Canada is mentioned a lot when talking about possible winners and in second place I think Sweden comes." This time Matthew was the one that got a glare, something that usually would scare him out of his skin when coming from Ivan but they were talking about important things now and he was not going to back down.

"Sweden? They might have won the finals a couple of years ago but this year is Russia's year." He huffed and crossed his arms over the wide chest, looking down at Matthew.

The two nations glared at each other for a good long while before they were interrupted by the driver clearing his throat. The glares were now directed towards the man in the front and he seemed to want to sink down through his seat.

"W-we're here now." He nodded against the airport that was just outside the window and Matthew relaxed a bit before he took out money to pay for the ride but before he had been able to Ivan paid the whole thing and stepped out of the car to grab his bag from the back.

The blonde glanced a bit wondering after Ivan but shrugged and took his smaller bag and Kumajirou who had fallen asleep in his arms before he stepped out of the cab and closed the door. His own bag was already standing outside the vehicle and soon the Russian's joined it and the two nations looked at each other for a bit.

"Well, thanks for the ride," Matthew said with a small nod and took his big bag and put the small one on it. "I'll see you at the world championship, don't get your hopes up on that victory." He gave the bigger nation a small smirk on his own that was answered with a bigger one from Ivan.

"I say the same to you, comrade Matvey." The two males parted ways like that and Matthew headed into the airport. What could he say, he was a competitive country, believe it or not, and no one should ever take his hockey interest lightly.

oOoOo

"For the last time, you can not take that bag with you as hand luggage. It's too big and heavy, you won't get it onto the plane." Ludwig looked at his brother that was for the moment sitting on his big bag, refusing to check it in together with the blonde's own bag.

"Who says I'm gonna take it with me as hang luggage?" the albino asked with a small smirk, crossing one leg over the other as he put his hands into the pockets of his dark blue pants. "I just don't want to check my bag in together with you." He shrugged slightly before letting out a little yawn, pulling the collar on his jacket down to pat his little bird on the head. Usually it would be a pain to have animals with you on the plane but thanks to special papers the nations could easily get their companions with them without having to deal with cages and the likes.

"Well, feel free to check your own bag in then," Ludwig said with a small sigh, shaking his head as he took the backpack over his left shoulder. Obviously a backpack was a lot more efficient than a usual bag you put in your hand. It would only give you back pains, you had to distribute the weight on both sides equally. "We should get going though, it's better to be early and wait than being late and have to stress through the whole airport."

"Can't," Gilbert just replied as he kept on petting the yellow bird, smiling for himself as Gilbird obviously enjoyed it a lot. "The plane is not leaving for a while, it won't help us sitting there and being bored.

"What's the difference of sitting here being bored and sitting there being bored?" The blonde German raised an eyebrow as he looked down at his brother, crossing his arms over the broad chest. "I do not really care about you being bored though, as long as you don't watch porn on your phone again. I can do without everyone staring."

"It was one time and I was wearing headphones."

"That weren't plugged into your phone." The two brothers looked at each other during silence for a bit before huffing and turning their backs on one another.

"Whatever, I have better things to amuse myself with. Not to mention my phone is out of battery either way. Have had too much to do to think about charging it." The albino got off his bag and pulled one hand through the white hair, his ruby eyes sweeping over the big room. People were passing by them, all in a hurry to get to their plane or the train, bus or car that would take them away from the large airport.

It was quite tiresome just looking at it and Gilbert yawned a bit before he looked to the side and quickly lit up.

"There you are, I was starting to wonder if you couldn't find a cab." He gave the blonde Canadian that got closer a small smirk, not caring about the wondering glance he got from his brother.

"Well, I couldn't. Ivan waved one in and we took it together." Matthew shrugged a bit before he sat Kumajirou down on his bag that was now resting next to Gilbert's, the small male giving Ludwig a smile. "Hello Ludwig." He completely ignored the horrified expression on the albino's face that appeared when hearing about Matt and Ivan sharing a cab.

"Guten abend," the German said with a nod against the other nation before he straightened out his back, his fingers tapping a bit on his leg. "I guess some farewells are in place but we really should hurry up. The planes do not wait for anyone, not even their own countries."

Gilbert glanced up at his brother with a small shake of his head before he turned to Matthew with a smile.

"Well, he isn't the smoothest man alive, though that we all knew by now." He shot a teasing glance towards his brother, the blonde man's cheeks actually taking on a slightly pink colour but he quickly cleared his throat and stared into the ruby eyes with his own, blue ones.

"Just say your goodbyes and let's go. You can leech off me as much as you want after all and that won't work if we miss the plane." Ludwig took his hand luggage and started to walk, not really caring if his brother followed him or not. If the albino missed the plane he could have his beer for himself for at least a bit longer.

"Well, I'm not coming with you," Gilbert said and looked up at his brother that stopped in the middle of a step. He smiled before wrapping an arm around Matthew's shoulders, not caring at all about showing his affection in public, something the Canadian had a bit of a problem with though since he wasn't used to it. "Birdie offered me to visit him after I told him about our little deal. I decided to accept the offer."

Ludwig turned around and frowned slightly, his blue glance moving between the two nations. He seemed to be speechless for a couple of seconds before he realized exactly what his brother had said.

"I see. You didn't think about telling me this sooner?" He raised one eyebrow slightly before letting out a sigh when Gilbert just shrugged.

"I wanted to surprise you. Surprisingly though, you don't seem as happy as I imagined. You'll be free from me for quite a while after all, I thought you would dance."

"Bruder... You and I do not always go together well and I would lie if I said you don't drive me crazy every now and then. You're still my brother though, I would never dance because of the fact I'm getting rid of you." The albino looked almost a bit shocked from the words and this time he was the one that was speechless. "Mostly because I do not dance." A small smile could be sighted on the blonde German's lips, Gilbert just shaking his head with a little smirk of his own.

"You have humour, who would have thought." He released the Canadian from his arm, Matthew having decided this was a moment for the brothers to enjoy and so he lifted Kumajirou off his bag and put him down beside Gilbert's leg, grabbing both their bags and taking them to the check-in. He had managed to book a ticket on his flight to Gil and with some help from his government they had even ended up beside each other. It wasn't often the Canadian used his perks as a nation but sometimes they did come in handy.

The albino glanced after the smaller male as he disappeared with the bags and he then looked at Kumajirou and leaned down to pick the bear up into his arms, his own companion giving away a complaining squeak when Gilbert moved around so much.

"You won't have to miss me too much though, bruder. Wouldn't want to overstay my welcome in Canada." The little huff from his brother made him chuckle as he grabbed Matthew's hand luggage together with his own. "I appreciate your words though." More than that he wasn't planning on saying. Being sentimental and full of brotherly love wasn't really his thing.

When seeing the Canadian in the corner of his eye he turned, seeing Mattie waving against him to come over since their gate was that way while Ludwig's was in the opposite direction.

"I hope you have a pleasant stay. The smile you have when seeing him, I have not seen that in a long time." Gilbert turned a surprised glance towards his brother that just gave him a warm smile. "Go now and I'll see you when you get back home. The beer and couch will be waiting for you."

With those words the blonde nation turned around and took a firmer grip of his backpack and walked away towards the pass control and Gilbert turned to Matthew instead, trying to hide the smile his brother had been talking about. He had a hard time seeing himself with some dorky smile on his face.

"Thank you," Matthew said once Gilbert came over, taking Kumajirou into his arms and his own hand luggage. "Let's go!"

oOoOo

One day had passed since the nations had arrived in Canada. They had gotten home in the middle of the night and Gilbert was spread out on Matthew's bed, still sleeping while the blonde male was up early to make some breakfast.

To no one's surprise it was pancakes on the menu, topped with syrup and fresh berries. He had been away to the store early, the male not being able to sleep for long no matter when he went to bed during the night. Unless he was drunk.

Kumajirou was enjoying his own breakfast consisting of seal and Gilbird was sitting on the kitchen counter, eating some of the bird seeds Gilbert had with him on his travels. Apparently the little bird couldn't, or wouldn't, eat certain brands and so it was better to just have the one he knew his companion enjoyed.

"I think we're done now," Matthew said to himself, pouring some coffee into one of the mugs but taking some tea himself.

"It smells delicious." A couple of arms suddenly wrapped around the blonde's waist, causing him to almost drop the tea pot and spill hot water all over the counter and floor, most likely over himself as well. "Up bright and early, how do you do it Birdie?"

Gilbert stretched out a pale hand to steal one of the berries from a plate and Matthew saw no reason to stop him so he let the albino be, fixing his tea with a bag and some sugar.

The sudden sound of a cellphone made them both look up and Gilbert sighed for himself as he let go of the smaller male and moved to his jacket that was thrown on a chair out in the hallway and a curious blonde followed him, leaning against the wall to see who was calling him at this time. Anyone knowing the Prussian had to know he usually wasn't awake by now. Unless it was someone not knowing where Gilbert was at the moment. Different time zones and all.

"Ja?" was the only form of greeting Gilbert bothered with, looking quite bored but soon glancing over at the Canadian and giving the blonde a flirtatious smile that made Matthew blush slightly.

The smile turned into an expression of shock though when someone started to scream right into his ear and Gilbert had to quickly move the phone away, staring at it before he recognized the angry voice that was cursing at him in German.

"I think Ludwig just noticed exactly how much money disappeared from his bank account," Gilbert said with a chuckle, leaning against the wall himself as he decided to wait his brother out. He couldn't keep on screaming forever but that didn't mean this would pass by quickly. "This might take a while."

"I'll put the breakfast on the table," Matthew said with a small smile before he walked back into the kitchen, still hearing the shouting from the phone and soon enough Gilbert's voice could be heard but it went quiet as Ludwig kept on going. "And prepare my last will."

The Canadian shook his head a bit with an amused smile on the pale lips. This would for sure be a very interesting month.
