Chapter 19

They got up to the cockpit and they were greeted with a hug. Echo looked down to see a little girl.

"Echo!" she said

"Who are you?" Echo asked

"You don't remember me?"she asked sadly

"He has some memory, but his mind will be clouded for a couple hours." Coric said

"Echo it is good to see you have your memory back, well, some of it." Chopper said and Echo nodded. Echo walked over to Chopper, who was on one of the Imperial computers.

"Do you know where the others are?" Echo asked

"Affirmative, Rex, Fives, Jesse, and Hardcase are left. Jesse and Hardcase would be the easiest of the four, on the other hand Fives and Rex won't be that easy. There might be a battle if we want them all back." Chopper said

"Where is Jesse?" Kix asked

"I am tracking now." Chopper said going back to working "You know, I didn't know you guys could get caught, not with the Captain."

"They came out of no where." Kix said

"They as in, who?" Echo asked

Kix was silent for a moment "Cody."

"You know, Cody isn't bad at all, he talked to me a day before Kix came in. He is doing this to save the only vod he has left." Coric said

"If he was doing this to save us, why did he put us in harms way?" Kix asked

"He did it to protect you all from the Empire's wrath." Coric said

"Giving us to the Empire is not helping us." Kix said "He is only helping himself."

"It was either to bring you guys to the Empire, or you and Cody killed!" Coric said

"At least then, we could die free than slaves!" Kix said "I don't regret working for the Republic, but being forced into another war?! No, I won't do it! We chose to leave because being free was why we were wishing for, for years. To forget we are clones built for war, even you wished for that, Coric. Everything comes at a price, Coric, but we knew the price and we did it anyway. We work side by side, vod, but not for the Empire or Revels, just are own choices." Kix said walking out of the room.

"Uh oh." Chopper said and Michelle walked over

"What's wrong, is it the computer?" Michelle asked

"No." Chopper said while Coric left the room as well.

"What's wrong then?" Michelle asked

"Brotherhood has always been our strength, but if they don't make up, we will be alone for the rest of this mission." Chopper said looking at the door.

"I could help?" Michelle asked

"No, they will make up by themselves. They always did." Chopper said looking back at the screen. Michelle nodded and went back to sitting with Echo.

Kix got to his temporary room and slammed the door shut. He walked over to the bed and sat down. He suddenly heard the door open "What do you want Coric?" Kix asked but there was no reply, he looked up to see two stormtroopers at the door. Kix went into a defensive position. "Take off your helmets and fight like a man." The two stormtroopers looked at each other and a moment later they took their helmets off. Kix looked at their faces and he stopped dead in his tracks. "Oh, no."

"Coric was walking to Kix's room to apologize when he suddenly heard a crash from inside. Coric opened the door to see two stormtroopers fighting Kix in hand to hand combat. "Chopper, Echo, get down here." Coric said into his commlink.

"On our way." Echo said and Coric turned his commlink off ans ran into the room.

"Need help?" Coric asked

"Would be appreciated." Kix said still fighting one of the stormtroopers.

At the corner of his eye, Coric saw the other stormtrooper coming straight for him, he quickly turned and ducked the blow. He looked at the face of his opponet and stopped dead in his tracks. "Jesse?"

"The mainframe is harder than usual, wait, I got it." Chopper said looking at the screen"Jesse is here on Ryloth?"

"Coric and Kix needs our help, now." Echo said grabbing Chopper "Stay here, kid, could get ugly." They then turned around and left the room. When they finally got to the room they stopped dead in their track. "It can't be them, can it?"

"Afraid so, come on." Chopper said running in.

"Confirmed, they have the kidnapped troops. "Jesse said

"Agreed." Hardcase said

"Lets finish them, and bring them all back with us." Jesse said "So, a traitor, an AWOL, and two kidnapped troopers, won't Vader be surprised?" Hardcase nodded

"Enough of this!" They heard someone yell and suddenly Jesse and Hardcase fell to the ground. They all looked at the person in the door, Michelle was there with her gun in hand "It was on stun, I swear!" Michelle said dropping her gun.

"Nice aiming kid, who taught you how to shoot?" Coric asked

"Echo taught me a little." Michelle said

"He did a nice job at that." Kix said and Coric nodded

Jesse woke up in a cell "This is outrageous! Get me out of this cell now!" Jesse yelled

"Already tried that, but to no avail." Hardcase said across the room "They took our weapons too. So, in some cases we are sitting ducks."

Suddenly, they heard footsteps across the hall coming closer. "Now, are we going to do it the easy way or the hard way?" Coric asked

"Rather go down with a fight." Hardcase said then two others came out with guns in their hands.

"In that case,"Coric said opening the door "You would go hungry?" no response, Coric walked in the room and set three trays on the table. "Mind if I join?" Jesse gestured to do whatever. Coric sat down and Hardcase walked over.

"So, why did you leave the Empire?"Jesse asked suspiciously

"Why would anyone want to work with the Empire?" Coric asked

"Maybe it has to be for the fact that we are the good guys?" Hardcase asked

"Have you ever thought that, maybe, the rebels are the good guys?" Coric asked and Jesse has a distant glance. Couple seconds later Jesse shook his head and narrowed his eyes.

"Couldn't say I have, don't remember over half of my memory- All I know is..."Jesse said

"What the Empire told you, I know this story." Coric said rolling his eyes. "What do you know?"

"Training that's it."Jesse said

"What the Empire told us was that we got into a crash Jesse and I were the only survivors, but had memory loss." Hardcase said

"Hold on a second, your training, what did you see? If possible, where were you?" Coric asked

"All I remember of the surroundings were rain, and tons of it." Jesse said and Coric nodded

'Maybe there is still hope yet.' Coric thought

"No more questions." Jesse said Coric nodded and left the room leaving Jesse and Hardcase alone buried in their own thoughts.

I know I haven't updated in a long time, and I will make up for it I will update a couple more times this week until my break runs out.
