Chapter 11: Bending the rules.
"That was so much fun!" Hope shouted as we rode back home in Luna's private car.
"Yeah I thoroughly enjoyed myself." Luna had a grin on her face and it caused Hope to blush.
"Oh get a room you two and preferably not right next to ours." Aura said as she clutched onto my arm.
"Well according to the blood that's soaked my bandages I need to get them changed." I sighed and rolled my pant leg back down. "I should've used my wheelchair."
"Oh hey Jer stop by a drug store so we can pick up some bandages and stuff." Luna called out to her driver. "I wonder if Sky and Sokka got home safe."
"Oh they got home safe alright. Sokka's brother Aang texted me and asked what got them so worked up." Aura pointed her finger at Luna. "I told him that there was a shameless flirt trying to seduce Hope and it was working."
Hope smacked Aura's hand down.
"If I remember right I flirted back and you've been clutching ever-so tightly onto Akira every time we see Luna." Hope flicked a bit of fire. "A little insecure are we?"
"Hey could you not I'm still bleeding here." I tried to calm the situation. "Luna a little help please."
Luna leaned over and brought Hope into a deep kiss and I did the same to Aura. After a minute or so we broke the kiss and she stared at me breathless. I looked over at Luna and Hope going at it full force and separated them forcefully. They stared at each other and panted.
"Just when it was getting really good." Hope wiped her lips. "We can finish that when we get to my room." Luna nodded furiously and I groaned.
"Dammit I wanted to sleep in my own bed tonight." I rubbed my calf and lifted my leg. Aura leaned in and whispered into my ear.
"You could always sleep over at my house." She pulled back and her face was almost as red as her lipstick. I shook my self and looked at her with a questioning look. She nodded and looked down at my leg. "Once we change your bandages and we should probably pick up a bunch of extra ones."
"I think I'll just camp out back." I shifted and grunted. "Maybe even the hospital."
I felt Aura's grip on my arm loosen and her eyes dropped to the floor. Luna and Hope went quiet.
"Aura don't forget to grab some stuff for s'mores I've been craving them since you told me what they were." I wrapped my arm around her and instantly her eyes lit up and a broad smile ran across her face.
I sat next to the small lava pit I made rubbing my fresh bandages and waited for Aura to bring out the S'mores ingredients. I had regretted dropping Hope and Luna off at the house before going to the store with Aura to get everything because when we came back we could hear them from outside.
I made our tent out of two large slabs of rock and our bedding out of sand that I had crushed until it was extremely soft. I laid a thick blanket over the sand and used some thinner rock as the door. I could hear faint noises coming from Hope's room still.
"It's a good thing Aunt Kayna went out somewhere or she would be pissed." I felt a cold chill down my back as Aura dropped an ice cube down my shirt. "Shit that's cold! What the he-" I looked back at Aura who wore nothing more than her bra and panties and a serious blush.
"Akira don't stare it's embarrassing." Aura sat down next to me quickly. "First I'll show you how to make a s'more and then you're on your own."
"I'm sorry could you repeat that I was staring at you." I smiled and she tossed the bag of marshmallows at me. "What, I really was."
"Well they have me really worked up too." Aura blushed even harder.
"OK well let's have a couple s'mores before we get to it then shall we." I said with a huge grin which cause Aura to smile and she started assembling a s'more.
"First cook the marshmallow how you like it, I burn mine a little bit all the way around but some people only like them barely golden." She blew out her flaming marshmallow and slid it off onto a graham cracker topped it with a bit of chocolate and covered it with a final cracker. "Try it and see for yourself."
I took the s'more in my hand and took a big bite only too have crumbs and marshmallow gone all over my face. I shoved the rest of it in my mouth and chewed happily.
"Dass dam goo." I swallowed and laughed. "That's damn good." I looked at Aura as she stared at me. "What do I have something on my face?" I said as I started wiping crumbs off of myself.
Suddenly Aura tackled me to the floor and began kissing me which I returned. We rolled around until she was back on top of me.
"BED NOW" She commanded then she ran into my makeshift tent. I hopped to her after grabbing a painkiller and some soda then I stuffed a marshmallow and some chocolate in my mouth. I got to the door just as she was taking her bra off. I stopped chewing and gulped down my mouth full. I threw off my shirt and hurried in.
"I'm glad we got more bandages and that my pain killers are good."
A while later.
I woke with a yawn and sat up in a small puddle of my own blood. I sighed and looked over at the still sleeping woman that was my girlfriend.
"Aura wake up I think I need to go to the hospital." I nudged her and she groaned. "Aura wake up or I'm headed to the hospital without you." She simply waved her hand at me and I laughed.
I struggled to stand and bend up a solid leg brace and crutches. I hobbled out the tent and found Hope and Luna cuddled up next to my smoldering lava pit. I poked Luna with my crutch and she shot straight up in attack mode.
"Hey whoa easy there killer." I jumped back as much as I could. "Are you awake now?"
She groaned then sighed then stretched. "Yeah yeah yeah I'm up. Sorry I'm just really jumpy when I wake up."
"Oh well now that you're up do you think you can call someone to take me to the hospital I lost quite a bit of blood and I'm starting to feel really woozy." I stumbled a bit but caught myself. "And could you help me inside I need to sit down."
Luna pushed Hope with her foot and Hope slowly sat up and blinked a few times.
"Hope I'm going to take Akira to the hospital nothing major just some blood loss. Make sure to tell everyone where we went." Luna leaned down and looked into the semi-conscious Hope's eyes. "Do that for me and I'll definitely be back." She gave her a quick kiss that made Hope smile. With a dreary nod and a thumbs up from Hope we were off.
"Well Jerry is sitting right out front, it seems he slept in the car after dropping you guys off." Luna shrugged as I rubbed my temples. "Let's go then."
"Ok, I don't think it was a good idea to take my painkiller on an empty stomach and with some blood loss." I groaned as Luna helped me into my wheelchair. She wheeled me out and into the car. I faded in and out of consciousness and eventually I came back to sitting in a hospital bed with IV's hooked into me.
"Are you back in your own head?" I looked left and saw Luna yawning holding a cup that had steam flowing from the top. "It's only 7 in the morning so I needed some coffee. Hell you woke me up at almost 6. That's way too early for me especially after a long night."
"Luna even though you're my childhood friend just remember that Hope is my cousin and I don't want you to play with her emotions." I blinked heavily. "Did they dope me up?"
"Yeah they had to re-stitch some parts of your leg and they heavy gauzed it and put a full leg brace on it again. You really need to chill out. I tried to lie when they asked how it happened but the doctor could smell it on you." Luna sipped her coffee. "I pulled the 'I'm famous' card but she didn't seem to care at all."
"Her name wouldn't have been Suki by chance would it?" I stifled a laugh. Luna nodded and groaned. "Hey she's been my doctor since Tenchi tried to kill me. Ugh he is the whole reason my leg is as bad as it is."
"When you told me at that first dinner it broke my heart to hear it but it didn't surprise me all that much." She sighed. "He always seemed like he was evil."
