Well, I want to thank everyone for seeing this dark tale and I will be continuing on to chapter two. Now, I will take the time to answer some reviews.

Hellbreaker, I am glad you like it. Not sure if Sam will turn evil as well. But, this story will be of the Danny/Sam pairing unless I feel like making Danny fall for another person.

The Kid'skid: Well, thanks for letting me do this challenge and I hope it's to your liking. I will try to keep you updated on it.

The Darkbringer: I think that sounds interesting, but I would have to talk more with the Kid'skid about that idea. Love the pairing idea though.

Sorry about that. Now, let's move on to chapter two.

Chapter 2: The Accident

In the past several years, Danny and Jazz had to witness their parent fail attempt of making an invention that would revolutionize ghost hunting. After all, Jack and Maddie were ghost hunters, what else was there to do? Despite the fact that there were little to no ghosts in Amity Park, Jack and Maddie Fenton still went on with their dream of being the best ghost hunters in the world.

Danny and Jazz sat down on their usual stools downstairs to expect another disappointing failure from their parent's latest invention. For some time, Danny and Jazz were not allowed to go downstairs because their parents were working on their latest project.

The machine had a sliding door with support beams that looked hexagonal or octagonal. There was a little box near the machine that was connected to it. It wouldn't take a trained monkey to see the importance of the box. Jack and Maddie gave their children a smile that they usual give before presenting what they had made. Their presentations seemed almost like a kindergartener's show and tell.

"Well, kids what do you think?" Jack said grinning at them "Doesn't this look hip and cool"

"I don't think those words should be used by any adult in the same sentence" Jazz said pretending to feel sick in her stomach

"O come on we are just kidding around, but what do you think" Maddie joked around a little.

"Umm it's ok. Just what is it" Danny said pretending to care, yet he wasn't going to beat around the bush.

"Imagine a world with ghosts; every one of them floating around in a spectrum or a zone. With different sections and places that makes their world seemly endless. A world in which they live in" Maddie said trying to amaze their kids like a camp counselor around a camp fire.

"We have developed a portal that will let us be able to go into their realm and vise versa" Jack said "We are calling it the Fenton Portal"

Danny shook his head in irritation. It seemed like every invention they made they used their last name for it. The Fenton Toaster, the Fenton Portal, and The Fenton Thermos, the list could go on. Next, they will probably invent the Fenton Door.

"Wait, isn't that dangerous if we have ghosts in the house. What if the town finds out we released ghosts. We will be chased out of town" Danny questioned his parent's logic in keeping their ghost portal in their own house.

"It will be fine, dear. We're ghost hunters remember" Maddie smiled "If one gets out, we will hunt it down and put it back in"

"Wait, aren't they just going to get stronger and plot their revenge" Danny said feeling like a geek.

(A/N yea like that never happens in Danny Phantom)

"Relax Dano my boy, I am sure everything will be fine" Jack messed up his sons hair and walking over to the plugs

"It's Danny" Danny growled and silently said

Jack and Maddie smiled as Danny and Jazz watched them connect the plugs together. The electricity that floated through the cords zapped into the box which started to open the door revealing a small room that disappeared with a green and black background that looked similar to a lava lamp.

"It actually works" Jazz chuckled

Danny looked at the portal as Danny looked into it. He felt his name was being called. He got up and stood by a table. He was mesmerized by its enchanting glow. He felt lifted and felt like his dream about the white haired ghost was coming true.

Suddenly, in all of the excitement, the Fenton Portal starts to shut down and completely shut off. It was like a person used a sledgehammer to smash glass, Jack and Maddie's dream turned to ashes.

Another failure is what the entire family's thought as they start at the portal.

Jazz walked away as presentation time was over and Jack and Maddie sink into sadness. Danny was only staring at the portal when everyone else left. Something was off about that portal and felt it was different than their other inventions.

Danny touched the hexagonal shaped portal. He felt something calling within him telling him to try to figure out what is wrong with the machine.

The next few days weren't pleasant for Danny, he kept getting picked on by Dash and the Gang, getting into trouble, getting blame for something he didn't do, getting shoved into lockers, being called names, accidentally getting into the girl's locker room and gets beat up for it.

Danny was tired of it, the beatings, the name calling, the yelling and the mistreatment he has been getting. It was tormenting him inside to the point of him snapping at others.

Danny felt that the Fenton Portal was his answer, like it was calling him to something bigger. He heard his mother calling out to him.

"Danny, honey. Sam and Tucker are here" Maddie said

"I will be right down" Danny called out

"Also take out the garbage" Maddie smiled

Danny felt irritated at this, but decided to do it anyways.

Danny lies on his bed while Sam and Tucker talked away. It wasn't that Danny cared about the conversation they were having about school and the homework they had to do. Danny's mind was preoccupied with the portal. It felt like his name was being called like he was meant to fix this invention. He felt it could change his life as he kept thinking about the white haired person.

He felt his name calling out.

"Danny, earth to Danny; are you in there? You need to come back" Sam joked knocking on his head as if it was hollow.

"wha-what" Danny said looking at them

"Dude, you been zoning out, and not in the good way" Tucker said

"O sorry, just been distracted lately" Danny had his chin on his hands as he was looking down

"Distracted by what" Sam looked at him

"Have you two ever felt like you were meant to do something more. That you feel your feelings are being ignored" Danny asked them

Sam looked at Danny "Yea a lot"

"Yea, so what's your point" Tucker asks him putting his elbow to his knee

"Well, come downstairs there's something I need to show you guys" Danny said taking them to the basement.

Journeying to the basement with Sam and Tucker, Danny showed them the portal as Danny looked at it. He saw the doors were closed. Danny was trying to pull apart the doors so he could figure out what was wrong.

"Tucker I could use a little help" Danny asked

"Umm ok" Tucker said helping Danny pulling apart the door to show the small room. Danny looked at it as he walked over to the jump suits as he grabbed his jumpsuit and saw a D drawn on it. The D mark looked incomplete as he looked at Sam.

"What are you looking at me for? I didn't do that for any reason" She lied and hid her face away from Danny.

(A/N I know the original episodes never had the D on it, but I felt it was one of the positives of the show)

Danny started to put the jumpsuit on and looked at Tucker and Sam. The suit fit him like a glove. He wiggled his hands and zipped up the suit as he walked inside the room.

He looked around as it seemed dark as he touched the walls and looked around. The place seemed relatively small for a machine that is a portal to an infinite dimension. Danny explored the rest of the room staring at Sam and Tucker.

"It feels something is calling me but I don't know where. Why is it calling me? ARGGHHHH, I just wish there was a sigh that something would change" Danny said slamming on a button that said ON

"AN ON BUTTON, YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME" Danny growled as suddenly the green inside the portal began to surround Danny as he couldn't see Sam and Tucker anymore as green flashes of lights lit up his skin, bones and muscles. Danny was in a catastrophic amount of pain. His screams weren't heard. He felt his DNA and his molecules were morphing and changing. His body felt like it was on fire and freezing at the same time.

Sam and Tucker were horrified. They didn't know what to do. Tucker wanted to go upstairs to tell Danny's parents what was happening. Sam just stood there horrified that Danny disappeared within a blink of an eye.

"Sam, Sam" Tucker said shaking her "We have to tell his parents, come on"

Before Tucker could go upstairs, Both Sam and Tucker saw Danny's hand on the door. They both smiled, but the part that made them shocked was when Danny walked from the portal to the ground.

"Danny, Danny. Say something" Sam said shaking Danny, who had opened his eyes slightly looking at Sam.

"Wha, what happened" Danny said looking up at Sam and Tucker

"Danny, you're ok" Sam cried a little bit holding him and coughed a little bit to hid the awkwardness of his head on her lap "But, the important thing is that you are ok"

"In what way, his hair is white and he doesn't exactly look human" Tucker pointed out.

Danny rushed to the mirror after hearing what Tucker said. Sam slapped Tucker's head with her hand. Danny's eyes were glowing green as he was shivering with fear.

"Wha, What am I" Danny Called out

Meanwhile

Inside a tower, a ghost with a staff with a clock on it looked towards the scene seeing the boy who was also a ghost admiring his powers and showing off. Behind him, two eyeball looking ghosts approached the one ghost with the staff in a room of clocks.

"The boy has emerged, he has created a door to the human world and the ghost zone" one of them spoke

"Surely, this boy will be the one to be the destruction of his world. Who is to say he won't do the same to the Ghost Zone" the other said "Clockwork, you must stop this problem before it develops in something worse"

"It is far too early to be judging someone who just became a half ghost" Clock shrink to his child form "He isn't that much of a threat yet. Just look at him"

Clockwork looks at Danny as he transformed into an old man

"A boy that could tip the scale of good or bad; just one little spark will be enough to put the boy on the path of being a hero or a villain. We will just have to wait and see how everything plays out" Clockwork said

"In the meantime, don't you observers have anywhere to be" Clockwork transforming into his adult form.

"Yes, but remember Clockwork. One mistake could cost us the future and it will be your own fault" One of the observers spoke before they both vanished.

"Just one little spark" Clockwork said looking at the screen and transforming back to his adult form.
