Anyway Enjoy Chapter 14!
A year had pasted and it was winter once again in Burgess. Over that time Jack had learned a lot more with his staff, like her could control the Wind and even make snow and ice.
Jack was balancing on his staff, his toes curled around the wood and arms out stretched to their farthest length.
"Come on, come on.' He mutters quietly to him self when he starts wobbling slightly. 'Just a little longer…."
He became so still you'd think he was an ice statue.
That is until, Wind nudged him playfully and with a surprised shout fell over. Jack pushed the snow off of his body before looking at the open air accusingly. "That wasn't nice."
The Wind just wrapped around him, tugging at his clothes and hair. Jack tried to ignore it, still mock angry, but after Wind had pulled him to his feet he couldn't help but laugh.
"Oh!' Jack says suddenly, his smile growing wider. 'Watch what I can do Wind!"
Jack picked up his staff and pointed it upward, seconds later small snowflakes began to fall. He then touched the ground with the bottom of his staff and ice started growing.
"Tada!" Jack laughs throwing his arms out. "I can make snow and ice too, not just frost! It's that cool?!"
The Wind seemed to hum in agreement.
The rest of the day was spent with Jack showing off his winter skills while Wind took him anywhere that was needed.

Jack was in Ireland when he met the first being like him. Despite not like warmth that much he could help but admire what grew in it.
He had been looking at all the different plants this land had before noticing something in the sky.
A rainbow.
He hadn't seen one before so he looked at it with awe. Then he remembered something he had heard one of the children say:
'If you find a rainbow you can go to the end of it and find a pot of gold; and the leprechaun that guards it is said to grant you a wish!'
That certainly got hold of Jack's child-like curiosity. "Wind, take me to the end of that rainbow!"
Not even seconds after finishing he was whisked away.
Once he reached the end he began searching for the pot of gold. He looked for almost an hour and couldn't find it, he almost gave up hope till he ran into something.
Literally.
He winced as his big toe throbbed from hitting something hard. He looked down but found nothing he could have hit it on. He crouched down and put out his hand, only for it to hit an invisible wall of sorts.
"Huh.' He mutters, brows fused as he ran his hand along the smooth surface. 'What's this?"
He coated it in frost and it formed a dome about 2 feet tall and 3 feet wide. Just as he was going to try to break it to see what was inside a voice came from behind him.
"Hey! Cad é atá tú le mo óir?!" A gruff voice says.
Jack turned around to see a man, or he thinks it's a man, standing behind him with his arms crossed. He was roughly 3'6 with a thick red beard, red hair stick out of a dark green hat that matched his green turtle neck shirt with gold buttons and pants. His shoes were green too with gold buckles and one was hitting the ground repeatedly.
The man's red eyebrow rose as he waited for Jack to answer.
"Umm…I don't speak whatever you just said." Jack says.
The man looked him over before sighing. "You're a spirit aren't you? And by the looks of it, a new one as well."
"Hey I'm a year old! Plus what do you mean spirit?' Jack suddenly grinned. 'Are you like me?! Do the people not see you either? Why don't they see us?!"
The man held up a hand. "Whoa lad, slow down! What is your name, first of all?"
Jack blushed a light blue. "Sorry. I'm Jack, Jack Frost."
The man nodded. "Guess it makes sense, since you put frost on my shield. I'm Peadar Jarlath, or to the humans I'm the leprechaun. We spirits are immortals chosen by either the Man in the Moon or Mother Nature to help watch over something, like a holiday or people."
Jack's brows fused again. "Why can't they see us?"
Peadar shrugged. "They have to believe we exist before seeing us. Normally it's only kids that can see us, now who picked you? By your frost magic stuff I would guess Mother Nature, but if your still this young she wouldn't let you be out like this."
Jack thought it over. "I don't know any 'Mother Nature' but when I woke up from my lake I saw the moon and it told me-"
Peadar held up his hand again. "Wait laddie. You said when you came out of 'your lake', what do you mean? Also you are obviously a season spirit, MiM wouldn't chose a season let alone a child."
Jack felt slightly insulted. "I'm not lying. I woke up in a lake and when I broke though the ice the moon told me my name was Jack Frost."
Peadar rubbed his beard. "That can't be right…MiM has little say over the season spirits, it's Mother Nature's job to watch over them… He also hasn't picked any one since that Pan boy nearly 3 decades ago…."
He waves his hand. "Bahhh….doesn't matter. Go bug someone else kid I have things to do."
Peadar walked around Jack and past the shield. When Jack tried to follow him he winced as he hit the smooth surface. "Wait! I still have questions!"
Peadar shrugged as a hole opened in the ground and stair-case seemed to mold from the dirt. "Find someone else to ask, someone is bound to find you running around."
Before Jack could reply the leprechaun walked down the stairs out of sight and the hole closed up.
Jack sighed and after picking up his staff he flew off. "Who is Man in the Moon?"
/_\
It wasn't Jack's fault. He had been sitting by a stream somewhere in Sweden. He had been looking all day for any other spirits to talk to, but could find none.
Had Peadar been lying?
No, why would he? After all he had said something about season spirits and Mother Nature and Man in the Moon. Why lie and make all of that up?
Jack sighed and played with a snowflake, twisting it between his fingers.
"Well look if it isn't the Winter Brat." A amused voice says behind him, followed by two other voices laughing.
Jack turned around sharply. The first, likely the one that called him 'Winter Brat', had a dark tan with a bare chest except for a un-buttoned vest, baggy gold pants and bare feet. His face was well defined with black stubble, narrowed brown eyes and thick black hair pulled back in a small ponytail.
He wasn't overly buff, but compared to Jack he had very noticeable muscles.
Behind him where two shorter spirits with flame red hair, slightly pointed ears and gold eyes full of mocking. They were covered in leaf like shirts and grass skirts.
Warm air came from all three of them, making Jack shuffle in discomfort.
"Who are you?" Jack asks, holding his staff a little tighter. He didn't like the look the obvious leader was giving him, like a bug he couldn't wait to squish under foot.
"I am Stephano Gold, Spirit of Summer." He says proudly.
"Ok…I'm Jack Fro-" Jack says before being interrupted.
"I know who you are, Frost. You're the new Winter Spirit.' Stephano says 'Winter Spirit' like it left a bad taste in his mouth. 'You don't look like much; Mother must be going senile if she chose you."
Jack's hands tightened at the insult, but since he had met many spirits he decided to try to be civil. "Mother Nature didn't chose me the Man in the Moon did."
Stephano stared at him for a moment before laughing, the other 2 spirits joining in. "That makes you even stranger! MiM should know there doesn't need to be a Winter Spirit, Mother can handle it. More so after what the last one did."
Jack frowned. "What did the last one do?"
The smaller spirit on the left sneered at him. "Are you an idiot? Every spirit knows about how Old Man Winter made the ice age and tried to do it again before Mother Nature stopped him."
Jack's eyes narrowed. "Sorry, I'm new if you hadn't noticed."
The spirit growled but Stephano waved a hand, making him quiet down.
"No need, he's not worth it.' Stephano smirks. 'Just be a good boy, Jack, stay out of our way and we'll be good. Ok?"
Stephano turned on his heel and began to walk away but Jack just couldn't let that slide. "I'm not some dog, also you must be pretty pathetic if you need 2 body guards that are shorter then you."
Stephano turned around and glared at Jack. "What did you say, rat?"
Jack smirked, his ice colored eyes growing colder. He looked over to the two other spirits and gave them mock looks of pity. "Deaf too, your jobs must be so hard I feel bad for you."
Stephano frowned darkly before turning his back to Jack. "You butter learn to show respect, Frost, or you will make a lot of enemies. Come boys."
With that Stephano and the other two spirits disappeared in a summer wind.

Jack was back at his lake sitting in one of the many trees. He was resting his chin on one knee while the other leg danged over the side beside his staff that was held loosely in his hand. His eyes were glazed in deep thought, sometimes narrowing before becoming blank again.
Finally without warning he let him self slip sideways on the branch and flipped, landing quietly on the ground.
He moved to the center of the lake before looking up at the moon and sighing.
"Ummm…' He wasn't sure what to say, it wasn't like he was talking to a person. 'Hi…I'm not really sure where to start."
He ran his free hand though his hair, and decided to go straight to the point. "I wanted to know…Why did you create me? I mean Peadar said something about me being younger then normal or something like that. Then one of Stephano's lackeys said how bad the first snow bringer was so…why pick me? Did I have a life before this? Was I just made in the lake?"
Jack sighed and looked away for a moment before looking back up. "Can…Can you please answer me?"
He stood there in the silence for a long time before sighing. "Of course."
And with that he made a small snow pile and curled up on it, head turned away from the moon.
Peadar and Jarlath are real Irish names! I love Stephano, is anyone else a Pewdiepie fan? :D Bro-fist to you if you are. Hope you liked R&R plz! Ta.
