Sorry my updates are so lacky lately. D: Please forgive me! Enjoy Chapter 17!

The Guardians had a small moment of silence for the girl.

North turned to Jack, who wouldn't look the big man in the eye, and put a hand on his shoulder. "Jack."

Jack's flickered up before looked back at his bare feet. "…Yea?"

Tooth spoke for North. "You shouldn't think you did anything wrong."

"Yea, mate.' Bunny says gruffly. 'He may be creepy, but Morto is right. You did that girl a good favor, mate."

Jack looked at Sandy who was giving him a reassuring smile with a thumbs up. He looked at the others. "Really?"

"Of course Jack!" North booms happily. He pulled Jack into a crushing hug, making the smaller spirit gasp for breath.

With that the sad mood broke and they all laughed. They smiled at each other and turned back to the upcoming memory.

Jack had been visiting Greenland to give it some snow. He found it amusing that Greenland was covered in snow while Iceland normally didn't get as much snow.

"So ironic." Jack chuckles to himself as he swings his staff this way and that, the wind picking up and spreading his snow far and wide.

He looked around and realized it was getting darker. What day was it again? He didn't normally keep track, since he was immortal and didn't want to know how long he was lone for. He had been alone for about 200 years now. Sure he talked with Luka sometimes but she wasn't much of company since she was either running around to find a party or drunk and ready to pass out. That and she lived near a warmer area of Japan, making visiting times limited sometimes.

Back to the point. If he remembered correctly it was the 14th of April, 1912. Still early enough to spread some last bit of snow around before spring comes.

He was gliding over the North Atlantic at the moment. He wasn't really in a rush so he took his time.

That is until something shot out of the water and latched onto his ankle, pulling him towards the water.

"Wha?!" He gasps as he quickly detached whatever it was with his other foot.

He looked down to see 5 girls under the water glaring at him. Their skin was scaly and they had short but sharp nails, he could feel where they had dug into his foot bleeding slightly. Their long black hair was plastered to their backs and faces making it hard to see what they looked like but he could make out black eyes.

Jack was about to fly away when one lunged out of the water at him. He reacted without thinking and swung his staff, hitting her across the face and making he crash back into the water.

The others hissed angry at him and started trying to attack him with their claws and (he suddenly just noticed) sharp teeth.

He fought as best as he could but they could jump high. Every time he tied to fly higher another seemed to grab him by the arm or leg and pull him back down.

"Hey! Ughhh-stop it! I didn't do anything!" Jack yells at them.

They just growled back and continued attacking.

Before Jack could react 4 of the 5 had grabbed his legs and arms at the same time, making him fall into the water.

Tooth gasped in worry. She had been watching the whole fight in anger but with Jack now in their domain she was worried. He had at least been in less danger in the air, but now in the water, the sirens could drown him!

She pulled Jack into a tight hug to reassure herself he was still there.

Jack winced but didn't say anything, he knew she needed it.

The others would have laughed at Jack's predicament but they were worried too.

Jack tried to get back to the surface but the last siren grabbed him by the neck and pulled him further below.

Bubbles floated out of his nose and mouth as he struggled to get away. His eyes were wide with panic and fear. One hand had his staff while the other was trying to pry the siren's hand off his neck.

When he started to choke water went down his throat. Jack's eyes almost popped out of his head as a steadily growing glow came around his staff.

His eyes began to flutter as ice started freezing the water around him. The ice grew under him lifting him.

The sirens screamed in alarm and swam away.

The ice continued to grow, bigger and bigger till Jack was laying on a huge iceberg.

Jack lay still on it for a moment before he sat up and coughed the water from his lunges. He was breathing heavy and shivering slightly. His eyes were wide and his hands shook, his staff lying next to him.

Sandy looked surprised, he had seen people like that but only…

He looked at Jack and made some symbols. Jack blushed in embarrassment but nodded.

"What Sandy?" Bunny asks, confused at the Winter Spirit and Sandman's silent conversation.

"I'mafraidofwater." Jack mumbles.

"What was that Jack?" Tooth asks, flying a bit closer to hear him.

Jack looked at Sandy before sighing. "I'm afraid of water. Even before I got my memories I had a small fear of water, after this' He gestured to the memory. 'It got worse and after getting my memories I understand why but am still afraid."

The others were nodded in understanding, which made Jack blink. "You guys aren't going to laugh at me?"

"Why would we, mate?' Bunny asks, raising an invisible eyebrow. 'You became immortal by drowning and you were almost just drowned again. Why would we laugh at ya?"

Jack sighed in relief and gave them a wide smile. "Thanks guys."

Jack passed out soon after. Time seemed to speed up and later in the night a ship came into view.

It was a huge ship, with the name S.S. Titanic on the side. It was long with 4 smoke towers high above the sea.

Jack was still asleep on top of the iceberg, not noticing the ship as it got closer and closer.

When both the ship and iceberg jolted violently Jack woke.

"Huh?!" Jack gasps. He looked over to see the ship grinding against the berg. "No! Nonononononono!"

Jack tried to get up to try to move the berg but a dizzy spell hit him, he crumbled back to the ground with a sickly moan.

He sat there for long enough that the ship was almost out of sight. He grabbed his staff and the headaches when from unbearable to bearable. He stood up and took off after the ship, hoping it wasn't broken.

His hope was crushed when he heard the sirens going off as he got closer. He saw people running around and going to what were they call, the life boats. He found the hole and tried to freeze the water around it but the water was rushing in too quickly.

He watched in terrified awe as the huge ship was sinking, lots of people (women, men and children!) still on it.

He gave a broken sob as they fell in the water or clung tightly to anything they could. He watched as it broke in half and sank completely under the sea.

He soon ran out of tears and his stricken look turned blank. He floated around the freezing or already dead people in the water, looking like a corpse himself, as he looked for people who could be saved.

He landed on a box next to a lady hold a small baby. He stared blankly at them for a long time, only staring. He reached his hand out to close the lady's dead brown eyes, he ran his fingers softly over the baby's head before pulling away sharply.

He put his head between his knees, wrapping his arms over his head and screamed in angst. Dry sobs wracked his body as he rocked back and forth.

The life boats came back at that time but none of them heard Jack's screams or cries.

Jack soon became exhausted again and passed out. The life boats left, leaving Jack alone with the corpses of the Titanic 'The Unsinkable Ship.'

The memory changed quickly as if it too didn't want to say on it long. Jack was talking to Luka again when she passed out mid-story about how she went to a party and a guy had tried to grope her.

Jack sighed and picked her up. It helped she was light and he had been doing this a lot since he had met her.

He took her to her home, a small cave near the ocean and laid her on her seaweed bed. He didn't understand why she loved it so much it was slimy to him, but he didn't argue. He slept in trees so he didn't have much room to judge.

He left and decided to go to Britain. He didn't go there often, usually just sending snow with Wind there, so seeing all the buildings and such was cool.

He took a small break on Big Ben, sitting on the time hands. It had been 8 months since the Titanic sinking so it was now December. He still had nightmares sometimes about it, he tried to ignore the voice in his head telling him it was his fault but it was hard. He may have been protecting him self but be had killed thousands of people because of it.

"What do we have here?" A smooth dark voice says.

Jack jumps and turns his head to see a man standing on the minute hand next to him.

"Pitch, that bloody rat bag!" Bunny growls. "What is he doing there?!"

"He smelt Jack's fear." North says, watching Pitch cautiously.

"Who are you?" Jack asks wearily.

The man had on a low cut robe that ended at the ground and was long sleeve. His skin was corpse gray, which sent shivers down Jack's spine for two reasons. The first was it made him flash back to the dead body floating in the ocean and the second was a deeper feeling of dread. Something about this man but Jack on high alert and it wasn't just because of his piercing yellow eyes.

"I'm Pitch Black, the Nightmare King." The man –Pitch- says.

"Ok…I'm Jack Frost." Jack says hesitantly. "So why are you here?"

"I smelt your fear, rather good might I add." The man says with a grin.

Jack shivered slightly, something about that rang déjà vu in his mind. "Errr..thanks?"

Before the man could answer Jack was off. He didn't want to be near the man any longer, though he did hear the man's chilling laugh fade behind him.
