Jack had just given a few places some dustings of snow and was ready to hang out at his lake. It had been a few years but he couldn't help that Pitch somehow came back to the front of his mind. He wasn't sure why but the man, Pitch Black, was familiar to him.

And certainly not in a good way.

All thoughts of Pitch were forgotten though when just as he was going to land on his lake something struck his face.

"Ahhh!" Jack winced, holding his sting cheek.

"Hi Jack." A voice stressed his name with distaste.

Jack growled under his breath before turning to look at the gold schemed man. "Stephano."

The Spirit of Summer smiled coldly at him. "I told you we would meet again. I have a question to ask you, Jackie."

Jack stood up and held his staff tightly in his hand. "What?"

Two of Stephano's sprites appeared behind Jack, making him tense and turn to where he had the three in his sight. One was a girl, lean and barely covered in a short red robe. The other was a boy with wild hair that really did resemble flames. Both had dangerous gleams in their eyes, and Jack could tell this will likely not end well for him.

"I had a little fishy tell me you sank the Titanic a few years back.' Stephano smirks. 'This wouldn't happen to be true, would it? It certainly would make sense, it was an iceberg that sunk those innocent people."

Jack frowned think: 'Little fishy? What did that mean? The only spirits who had been there besides him self were the…'

Jack felt like he had been smacked in the face. "You…You made those mermaid-things attack me! It's your fault the Titanic sank!"

Stephano chuckled darkly. The two sprites grabbed Jack's arms, making him gasp and struggle for freedom. "Oh no Jack…it's true I sent them after you but…'

Stephano moved into Jack's face, his hot breath hit Jack's ear and neck. Jack shivered as the heat from the three summer spirit/sprites bodies made him uncomfortable, it was getting too hot. 'It was all you who made the iceberg. The iceberg that sank a ship thought impossible to sink along with most of the people on it. So Jack…How does it feel to be a murder?"

Jack gasped his eyes flying open (when did he close them?) to stare at Stephano's smug face.

"We're waiting to know Jack.' Stephano says in a sing-song voice. 'Did you enjoy seeing the humans die? You are a winter spirit, the season of death, so I'm sure you were laughing the whole time. No one likes winter, no one likes you, Jack"

Jack winced when one of the sprite's hold on him tightened and he could feel the heat slowly rising.

Stephano nodded to the two lackeys who started to beat on Jack. Jack tried to fight back but they had some how gotten his staff away from him and tossed to the side carelessly.

They kicked, punched, spat, mocked; everything they could to beat him down physically and mentally.

"This is what you deserve, Jack, accept it.' Stephano says like he was talking to a small child. 'You kill tons of people, so this is repayment."

"You…kill…too.' Jack pants. 'You…do it…purpose…I…don't."

Stephano growled signaling something to the sprites. They grabbed Jack's arms and pulled him up to his knees; he was bleeding badly from cuts and was bruised heavily.

Stephano stood in front of Jack before getting to one knee to look him in the eye. "What was that, brat?"

Jack glared at him with a black eye. His lip was split and dripping blood. Still he put on his cocky mask, his mouth twisting into a bloody smirk. "You heard…me."

Jack got a collection of mixed blood and spit in his mouth before spitting it in Stephano's face. Stephano growled ignoring the spit; he pulling his fist back before swing it back forward and planting it in Jack's stomach.

"Hmph!" Jack grunts from the force, tears pricking the edges of his eyes.

Stephano pulled back before drilling his fist into Jack's stomach again a few more times.

The two sprites held Jack tightly so he couldn't get away; he could hear their laughs at his pain. Jack coughed some blood on Stephano's hand who looked very pleased at the sight of it.

Stephano roughly grabbed Jack's chin, pulling their faces barely inches apart. "Maybe I should do everyone a favor and kill you now. Drowning you in your own lake sounds like a good way for you to go."

Jack wasn't listening though, at least not fully. Stephano's earlier words ringing in his mind.

'No one likes winter, no one likes you, Jack.'

'I should do everyone a favor and kill you now.'

'Drowning you in your own lake-'

Crack!

Jack gasped fearfully at the sound of breaking ice. He looked up to see Stephano had moved away from him to his lake, using Jack's staff to break an area of the ice.

The two sprites dragged him towards the lake, him struggling the whole time.

"He-Hey! Let go! …Stop!" Jack cries.

Stephano took a harsh hold of Jack's arm and tossed both him and the staff into the hole.

Splash!

Jack tried desperately to get to the opening but his clothes were to heavy. They were slowly dragging him down.

That's when he snapped.

He grabbed his staff and a bright blue glow came from it.

He almost seemed to fly out of the water, eyes almost glowing with power.

"Wha-!" The girl sprite says before Jack smacked her away with his staff.

The boy tried to attack but Jack hit him in chest with the butt of his staff. Jack spun and round house kicked the boy away before he could get a chance to fight back.

Suddenly a blast of fire burned the side of Jack's arm making him cry out in pain.

He turned to see Stephano glaring at him hatefully. Jack shot a blast of ice at him but Stephano only side stepped. Jack gave a war cry and ran at him, throwing blast after blast.

They exchanged blow for blow, Jack mostly getting the worst of it.

Finally Stephano got a hold of Jack throat and started squeezing. Jack choked for breath, his free hand clawing at Stephano's.

Snow began falling, getting thicker and thick till soon it was a full blown blizzard.

"Stephano!' The girl sprite calls. 'We need to get out of here! The freak will freeze us solid!"

The girl helped the boy up and they disappeared into flames, leaving only Jack and Stephano.

Stephano glared at Jack before letting him go. Jack fell to the ground sputtering and coughing.

Stephano left it a column of flames. Jack lay on the ground for a few minutes, trying to get his breath. When he finally stood up he was shocked to see the whole area covered in snow, a good four to five inches.

Then what was even worse was he remembered the date…

April 5, 1968…Easter Sunday.

Just as Jack was picking up his staff he was hit in the back of the head by something.

He winced in pain and turned.

Behind him stood a 6 almost 7 foot tall…kangaroo? Tribal markings seemed to completely cover his fur; he had a sash over his chest with bands around his arms and ankles.

Jack quickly ducked his head to hide his face, one reason was to hide his internal laughing at the fact the Easter Bunny was a kangaroo and the other being he knew what was likely to come.

Of course he had to be proven right.

"Ya bloody rat bag!' The Easter Kangaroo (as Jack mentally dubbed him) yells in anger. 'Do you know what you've done?"

Jack, his hair covering his bloody and bruised face, tried to explain him self but the Kangaroo cut him off.

"No of course you don't! You don't bloody care about Easter, or the people you've hurt! Easter is about hope, new life, and ya bloody Winter Brat had to ruin it! Go hide off in the artic or something, nobody would care if ya left anyway! Why? Because YA BLOODY RUIN EVERYTHING!" The Easter Bunny yells right in Jack's face, or technically hair.

As the Easter Bunny panted after his rant Jack just stood there quietly.

Finally Jack lifted his head just enough for Bunny to see his blood stained lips and his eyes seemed to pierce right though his hair and into the Kangaroo's eyes. His lips twist upward in his normal cocky smirk but there was something darker, bitter to it. "You're right…I ruin everything. Sorry to inconvenience you, Easter Kangaroo, I will get out of your hair now."

With that Jack turned sharply on his heal and disappeared into the sky, leaving a small flurry in the snow behind him. As Bunny left shortly after, muttering angrily to him self neither noticed the intrigued yellow eyes hiding in the shadow the whole time before they disappeared as well.
