Hello guys! :D The Epilogue is finally here! :3 Yay! It's been so much funny writing this story and I'm so glad you guys have read/reviewed/favorite and followed it, you guys are truly awesome. It might be a while before I put up the sequel, as I have lots of school and I'm not allowed to write if I get behind, but expect it at some point in the future! I hope you loved this story as much as I do and I hope you enjoy Chapter 30: Epilogue!
Jack and the others sighed as the memories faded.
"Now you know about Jack's past, I hope it will help you become stronger together."
The Guardians nodded, despite the bad taste some memories had left in their mouths….they felt closer.
The memories still ran though their minds and reminded the older Guardians they had a lot to catch up on for their time of ignoring or mistreating Jack. Jack looked over at the others and couldn't help but smile slightly. He felt…warmer, as if he didn't need to hold onto the bitter cold of loneliness anymore.
It was a nice feeling.
"I will return you home now. Don't worry about if you were gone long only two weeks have pasted.' Manny's voice became more grave. 'And be cautious, my Guardians. I feel something worrying will happen, but I can not tell you what for my vision is blocked. Watch over each other and protect one another, you might need to to get though what is to come."
The Guardians nodded but an unease went though them. After all, what was bad enough that it could block Manny's sight?
Before they could ask any questions a bright glow surrounded them and they were returned to North's Workshop.
They were all quiet for a moment before Jack frowned. "So...what now?"
The older Guardians looked at each other and North stepped closer to the winter spirit. "Now we tell you about our lives, is only fair yes? We know of your life now is time for you to know ours."
The others nodded though Bunny looked a bit uneasy, about talking about his past or thinking of the teasing that will likely come with it Jack wasn't sure. He was a bit excited though, he only knew small details about their pasts and couldn't wait to learn more about them –his family- and maybe even getting a bit of blackmail wouldn't been too bad to have.
After all maybe having his memories relived hadn't been that bad.
-(Line Break)-
Pitch watched, a knife in one hand, as inky black blood fell from the other. He didn't even feel pain, too consumed with in his dark plans and he grinned sinisterly.
Letting the drops of pure nightmares collect in a vial till it was full. Putting the knife down and allowing the cut to heal before putting the vial up to his gleaming gold eyes, laughing darkly. "Soon my Prince, soon you will join with the darkness, the nightmares. Then we will destroy those pathetic Guardians and fill the world with endless winter and nightmares. After all what goes better together then cold and dark?"
He held the vial tight in hand, evil glee twisting up his lips before he disappeared into the shadows. After all, he had a snowflake to catch.
-(Line Break)-
Nightlight appeared in Tsar's library. He watched as the man, sitting in his chair in front of the telescope, rubbing his eyes tiredly.
He turned to the eternal youth, light bags under his eyes, and sighed. "Nightlight…is it wrong of me to hold information from them?"
Knowing who 'them' was and worriedly curious about his friend the moon beam waved him to explain.
"It's true my vision is blocked…..but I have still gotten glimpse of what is happening. I fear the future is not bright, Pitch has learned –likely from the nightmares them selves- that his blood has become pure nightmares and that it is far stronger then the nightmare sand he had used on Sandy. He is close to being ready to attack Jack, only his army needs to grow more before he tries. I worry that in no more then a month or two's time he will strike." Tsar says, his eyes reflecting worry and distress as his hands were held tightly in his lap.
Nightlight frowned; if Pitch had something even stronger then the nightmare sand then things were not looking good for his younger white haired friend. He had been too close to getting Jack with the nightmare sand when he had been human, only with Jack's strong spirit and Tsar's help he had been saved. If he has something even stronger…will Jack be able to fight it? Will Tsar have enough strength to help him again? His perturbed musing was cut off by Tsar's tense words.
"Watch over them, old friend, and help them if you can. They will need your guidance in the challenges to come." Voice tense but soft, Tsar stared down at the Earth remorsefully.
Nightlight nodded determinately before leaving his friend to clear his head in solitude. As he walked down the many halls he stopped before a window, Earth looking astonishing and new every time he saw it. This time though he wasn't focus on it, but rather the immortals on it. He will watch over them carefully, Pitch will never lay a hand on Jack or any of the other's head, he will make sure of it.
A small smirk curled his lips. After all he was Nightlight, the eternal watcher and protector.
It's short and cliffy, but I'm sure it'll do till the sequel, right? ;P R&R plz! Ta.
