Sorry to leave you hanging for so long finals and stuff. :( Here's chapter 32. Happy Once Day!

Belle's next ten minutes were spent unsuccessfully trying to calm down Regina. Henry's disappearance combined with her already volatile hormonal state had sent her over the edge. Belle had only just got her to sit down in the living room when Robin and Emma showed up. While Emma went up to investigate Henry's room Robin immediately rushed to his soulmate's side.

"Everything's going to be fine Regina," he said soothingly.

"You don't know that," said Regina hysterically. "Henry is a magnet for dangerous situations! He could already be kidnapped or hurt by now!"

"Well it's unlikely that he's been kidnapped," said Emma trotting down the stairs. "His room is practically untouched. Bed is made, textbooks unopened. So there wasn't a struggle. And this"- she held up his dead cellphone-"might explain why he hasn't our calls."

She tossed it on the coffee table where it clattered unceremoniously. "My bet is that he left on his own."

"Emma's right," said Belle coming from the kitchen holding up a muffin wrapper. "He took a muffin before leaving."

Emma smirked at Belle's reasoning. Henry did have a habit of leaving the wrappers out on the counter.

Regina, though slightly calmer, still shook her head. "Even if he did leave on his own he's still missing. You said his bed hadn't even been slept in. That means he's been gone all night! He should've been back by now."

Robin rubbed her shoulders in an effort to calm her down. "Okay you're right. This is serious. He has been gone all night and we don't know where he is now. But like you said before, Henry has been in dangerous situations before and you know what that feels like and because of Rumpelstiltskin I do too. Now I want you to look and into your gut and ask yourself one question. Does this situation feel like any of those other times?"

Regina closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "No. No it doesn't feel like that."

"Exactly," said Robin. "And that means he's probably fine."

"I agree," said Emma, nodding her head. "If Henry was really in danger we would've felt it by now. This is not like Neverland or the mines. This is just our teenage son reacting badly to things he didn't want to hear."

"If he's anything like Grace, which he is," piped up Belle. "He probably just took a late night walk to clear his head."

"Perhaps he met up with a friend from school and he's staying at their home," suggested Robin.

"I'll give Jefferson a call," said Belle. "Maybe he went to go see Grace. You know, to talk things over."

"Well I doubt he'd let Henry stay the night but it's worth a shot," said Emma following Belle into the kitchen.

Once they were gone Robin wrapped his arms around Regina. "Everything's going to be fine, milady. We'll have him back here before midday."

Regina buried her face in the crook of his shoulder. "I spent an entire year with no idea where he was. When I woke up and he was gone it felt like I was back there again. I just need to know where he is."

No sooner did the words leave her mouth when she suddenly lurched forward with a gasp and place a hand on her stomach. "Oh!"

"Regina!" cried Robin, his voice laced with concern.

She pushed away from him to lean back in her chair and place her hand to her forehead. Her eyes were scrunched closed and her mouth was open as if letting out a silent scream.

"Regina, what's wrong?!" he asked desperately. "What hurts?"

"It's not pain," she gritted out. "It's magic."

Robin's eyes widened. "EMMA! EMMA GET IN HERE! REGINA NEEDS HELPS!"

He heard the rapid thud of Emma's feet running down the hall before she rushed into the living room in a flash of red and yellow. The minute she crossed the threshold she stopped short, shook her head and began to blink rapidly. She could feel the magic in the air and it was like running into a room of steam. Her pause caused Belle to run into her back making her stumble forward. Once she got her bearings she quickly kneeled by Regina's chair and placed a hand on her shoulder. As soon as her fingers made contact with Regina's skin she pulled them back as if she'd been burned with a yelp.

"Regina," she breathed. "What is going on? What's happening?"

Regina just held up a hand as if telling her to wait. She took a few deep breaths to gain control of… well everything. She could feel the magic flowing through every cell in her body, from the tip of her toes to the ends of her hair. It was strong, beautiful… and not hers. Its power nearly overtook her. She suddenly felt a deep pull at the front of her mind. Then the quick images flashed against her eyelids. She could see Henry. He looked dirty and tired but somehow very happy. A group of purple flowers, so close she could see the morning dew drop off of them. Then a small flash of a school sign. Storybrooke High School. Once the images passed she felt the magic recede. She placed her hand over her heart and took a few gulping breaths. As she opened her eyes she saw Emma's shoulders drop in relief. She must've felt the magic too.

Robin was still looking at her with wide eyes. "Regina?"

She tried to nod her head reassuringly. "I'm okay. I'm fine."

She took another deep breath through her nose. "Henry's at the high school. We should go there."

She tried to stand but was gently pushed back into her seat by Robin. She could hardly even put up a fight against him. "You, milady, are not going anywhere until you tell us what exactly just happened."

"And probably not even after that!" added Emma frantically.

"It was magical wasn't it?" asked Belle. "When we came in I felt something in the air. Something… like a tickle of light."

"That's what she said when it started," said Robin. "I felt it too."

"Well if you got a tickle then I got a punch," spat Emma. "That was some serious power you were radiating. It practically burnt me. What did you do?"

Regina slowly shook her head. "It wasn't me. I think"- she rubbed her stomach cautiously-"I think it was her."

Robin gently touched her stomach and looked up at her with wide eyes. "The baby?"

Regina nodded. "I think she sent me a vision."

Belle grinned at her. "I told you she'd announce her presence in a grand way."

Regina smiled to herself. Her daughter had magic. This was so much more exciting than a kick… and probably ten times more exhausting.

"What did you see?" asked Emma curiously.

Regina shrugged her shoulders. "I saw Henry, some flowers and the school sign. They were quick flashes though. They didn't last long."

"You said you needed to know where he was," pointed out Robin. "Right before it started. Perhaps she… answered you."

Emma raised her eyebrows at that. "She can do that? Already?"

"Well the fact that even non-magic users like Robin and I can feel her magic suggests that she's extremely powerful," reasoned Belle. "And I remember Rumple telling me that magic is controlled by emotions. Since she currently doesn't have any of her own emotions at this point, it's likely that she's latching on to Regina's."

Robin nodded his head in understanding. "So her distress over Henry…"

"Triggered the baby's magic response," finished Regina.

"Well aren't you the magical expert," said Emma turning to Belle with an impressed look on her face.

She shrugged her shoulders. "You know I do read more than fiction, Emma."

"Is it done?" Robin asked worriedly.

Regina nodded. "Yes. This might not be the last time it happens but her magic has receded for now."

"Wait you mean this could happen again?" he asked incredulously. He didn't care whether it was caused by magic or pain, all he knew was that the image of his soulmate in that amount of discomfort wasn't something he wanted to see again.

"Let's focus on one kid at a time," intervened Emma. "If the baby says that Henry's at the school then I guess we should go check it out. If he's actually there then at least we can confirm it was actually a vision."

Regina made another move to stand. Robin held out his arm to keep her from rising any further. "Oh no, you're not going. Not after that display."

She gently pushed his arm away and stood up. "I'm fine Robin. Besides the minute I know Henry is safe I'll be ten times calmer. You wouldn't want to trigger another magical episode would you?"

Emma leaned into Robin's side. "I hate to say it Robin but her logic is pretty sound."

He rolled his eyes and let out a groan at Emma's agreement. She did have a point. He saw Regina give him a smug smile.

"Fine," he said begrudgingly. To Regina's surprise he quickly scooped her up in his arms. "But you don't so much as walk until after we see the medicine man."

Despite Regina's fervent arguments for Robin to put her down he carried her out of the house with Belle and Emma close behind.

Grace sat in front of her vanity getting ready for school when her father poked his head in her room.

"I got a strange call from Belle," he said. "She wants to know if you've seen Henry at all last night."

She shook her head at him and he gave her a disbelieving look. "Grace this is serious. He's been gone all night. If you've seen him I need to know."

"I haven't seen him!" she insisted. She double-checked her phone with a frown. "He hasn't even called."

Jefferson grimaced at his daughter's apparent dejection. "Alright. Well keep an eye out for him at school."

"I always do," she mumbled turning back to the mirror. As soon as her father left her thoughts returned to the hazel-eyed boy she called her boyfriend. If she could even still call him that? They hadn't spoken in close to three days and she had to admit that a lot of the blame for that fell on her shoulders. She'd been avoiding him ever since he'd said that he loved her. She just kept going over everything in her mind. What Victoria said, what Henry said and what her father had told her. It was all still swimming around in her head and she was still unsure of what to make of all of it. However, there was one thing she was now certain of: Henry was being sincere when he told her that he loved her. She knew in her heart that that was true. He wouldn't lie about that to her. It wasn't in his nature. He loved her but even if that was true she was still unsure of how she felt. And if she was unsure then what could she say to him?

After settling on pulling her hair back into a ponytail she finally made her way downstairs. She let out a groan as she saw her father waiting for her with his car keys in his hand.

"Is that really necessary?" she asked with a sour face.

He nodded. "After what you told me last night it would make me feel better, yes."

She rolled her eyes. "Fine."

As she got in the car with her father Grace suddenly remembered that she was not the only one with a romantic dilemma. Last night her father had realized that he was in love with Belle and as a founding member of Operation Beautiful Hatter it was her duty to find out just what he planned to do about that.

"So," she said. "Are you planning on talking to Belle today?"

He raised his eyebrows at her. "I don't know. Are you planning on talking to Henry today?"

She looked away from him sheepishly. "I would prefer to focus on your love life for the time being."

"You would always prefer to focus on my love life," said Jefferson with a smirk. "I'm beginning to wonder why that is."

"It's because yours is easier to deal with right now," she explained. "I mean, at least you know that you love Belle and you can tell her that. I am still unsure about Henry."

"Are you unsure about how you feel or are you unsure about what you're going to say?" he asked.

"Both," she said with a shrug. "I just don't want to hurt his feelings or scare him off I guess."

Jefferson sighed. "Grace if you're unsure of how you feel then you need to tell him that. Leaving him hanging is just cruel."

"Is that why you're so afraid to tell Belle how you feel?" said Grace. "You're afraid she'll leave you hanging?"

"Whoa! I never said I was afraid," argued Jefferson. "I would just prefer to wait for the right moment."

"Well I would prefer not to say anything to Henry," countered Grace.

Jefferson groaned at her argument. "How about I make you a deal? I will attempt to talk to Belle about my feelings today if you agree to do the same with Henry. Bravery for bravery."

Grace took a moment to think it over before nodding her head. "Deal." She sighed and stared at her hands. "I suppose I'll have to talk to him eventually anyway. The school's pretty small it's not like I can avoid him."

"Yeah I don't think avoidance is going to be an option for you," said Jefferson pulling up at the school. He tapped her on her shoulder and pointed out that a crowd had surrounded the school lawn.

Grace squinted at the lawn. "What…"

The school lawn, which was usually covered in a thick layer of green grass, was now a beautiful shade of light purple. And in center of the lawn stood Henry, covered in dirt, looking tired but clearly waiting for her. She narrowed her eyes at the purple lawn curiously. "Are those…?"

"Lilacs," said her father nodding his head. "It appears so."

Grace felt a smile tug on her lips. He remembered.

"It looks like he's waiting for you sweetheart," said Jefferson with a smile. "You should probably go say hello."

She gave her father one last look before exiting the car and making her way through the crowd to her boyfriend.

Henry groaned as he stretched out his neck. It had been a long night and by the end of the day his moms were surely going to kill him but it would all be worth it this could get Grace to talk to him. A crowd had already begun to form around the lawn of lilacs but he still didn't see her face. He began to worry that she would never show up when he felt a light tap on his shoulder. Grace stood behind him smiling sheepishly. "Hi."

"Hi," he said with a grin.

They stood there awkwardly for a minute before Grace spoke up again. "So… lilacs?"

"Lilacs," he said with a firm nod. He reached down, plucked up a stem and handed it to her. "I remembered that they were your favorite. Thought you might like them."

She smiled as she took the flowers from him. "They're beautiful!"

She looked out over the lawn. There seemed to be at least ten rows of the flowers sprouting through the ground. "How many are there?"

Henry shrugged. "I stopped counting at 56 trees but I think there's somewhere around 100, 150?"

She whipped her head at him. "How did you do all this in one night?"

"It wasn't that hard," he said with a shake of his head. "I just snuck out of the house, snuck into the flower shop to take a lilac, I left money though so it's not stealing. Then I had to go to my mom's vault. I looked through some of her spell books, found a multiplication potion for the lilacs. Took me three tries to get it right but I think it worked just fine in this case. Then I had to bring the lilac here. Multiply it then plant each one. I stuck around to make sure they grew correctly. It took a few hours but I think they grew."

She stared at him wide-eyed. "Are you serious?"

He just shrugged. "It wasn't that much work. I've only been up since eight… p.m. yesterday."

She shook her head at him in disbelief. "Henry why would you do all this?"

"Because I love you," he said simply.

Grace looked down and shuffled her feet uncomfortably. "Henry I…"

"I don't need you to say it back to me," he said interrupting her. "That's not what this is about."

"It's not?" said Grace raising an eyebrow.

"No," he said shaking his head. "This is about what you feel. It's about what I feel. I love you and I guess, I just wanted to show it in a way that you or anyone else couldn't ignore."

Grace let out a chuckle. "Well I think you can count this as a success."

Henry smiled down at her. "Grace why didn't you tell me about the way people were talking to you?"

She looked away from him guiltily and shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know. I guess I didn't want you to look at me the way that they did. I mean, you're a prince Henry and that means something to people. And I'm not a princess… I'm just… me."

"Did you really think I'd care about that?" he said with a frown. "Grace I don't want a princess! I want you! I love you for reasons that are so much more important than whether you're royalty or not. I love that you're usually the smartest person in any classroom that you step in. And you don't even have to try for it."

"I actually work and study really hard at it," corrected Grace with a giggle.

"I also love that you're incapable of eating less than six Oreos in one sitting," said Henry with a smile.

"Five or less and it's just not worth it," said Grace with a grin.

"And most importantly," said Henry grabbing her hand. "I love that when my mom walks in a room you don't flinch. You look her in the eye, smile and say hello like she's a normal person. You're not afraid of her."

Grace shrugged her shoulders. "She raised you. How bad could she really be?"

"Grace I might've been a born a prince but you… you were born awesome. And the way I see it that means you trump me at every turn." He said with a smile. "So if you don't feel like I do that's fine. I can wait to hear the words but I'd really like it if you wouldn't run from me again?"

Grace was close to tears by the end of Henry's speech but they were happy tears. She had someone who loved her… who she loved back. She leaned forward and wrapped her arms around his neck. "I won't run. I love you."

"I love you too." Said Henry. By now he was smiling so hard he felt his cheeks would burst.

As she looked over her shoulder she could see his mother's black BMW pull up next to the school. Both the queen and savior stepped out and looked over the lawn.

"Your moms are here," she whispered in his ear.

He groaned without looking back. "How do they look?"

"They look fairly pissed off," she said with a laugh. She let him go and gave him a small smile. "I'll guess I'll see you tomorrow then."

"If I'm still alive by then," he said with a mischievous grin. He let go of her hand and made his way over to his mothers.

Like Grace had said they looked fairly pissed off. Emma had her arms firmly crossed against her chest and was clenching her jaw so hard at him he was sure she was cracking at least six teeth. His mother was maintaining a calm exterior but he could tell by the vein on her forehead and the storm behind her eyes that she was ready to explode at any minute.

"Henry Daniel Mills," she growled. "Do you have any idea how much trouble you're in?"

"I do," he said softly. "And I only have one thing to say in my defense."

He shrugged his shoulders. "It was worth it."

Well Henry is certainly in trouble now! Let me know what you think should happen next!
