Chapter 38: Traitor
Rack almost couldn't believe this. Even as he just now had help from the two best guns on the team, Brawn was still on the prevelation of handing their butts to them. Armor flipped himself in the air, hitting Brawn twice in the face with his guns. Brawn simply frowned, then picking Armor up and throwing him into the left wall. War Machine was practically firing all of his weapons on the titan-like Makutacon, only to make absolutely zero success in harming him. Seriously, this Makutacon was taking each bullet, missile and zamor sphere like it was nothing.
Just as War Machines arsenal continued to fail, Brawn came charging at him, almost too fast for War Machine to roll to his right, narrowly dodging him. Recovering from being thrown like a baseball, Armor got back up onto his feet, shooting intensely at Brawns back. Nothing. For a moment, Brawn didn't even turn around, almost making him wonder if the Makutacon had even felt it at all. Rack joined in on the fight then, firing the blaster on his right arm at Brawns face. Again, nothing.
Instead, Brawn simply glared at him and started charging. Unfortunate for Rack, Brawn was already too close for him to do anything, and to make matters worse, Brawn was coming at him with the buzzsaw in his right hand. As if on instinct, Rack flipped his healing blaster into a blade, raising it just in time to block a downwards swing from the angry Makutacon. Rack made a short sigh of relief then as this block was made, silently sending a prayer of thanks to God.
But this immediately led to a grin from the Makutacon, who had immediately started to think Rack was making a prayer for mercy. Brawns grin grew wider then as he started pushing down with the small buzzsaw, slowly pushing a struggling Rack closer and closer to the ground. Rack tried DESPERATELY to find a few extra ounces of strength, or think of a strategy to easily push him back, but despite all of the immediate fifty or so efforts on both matters, he found none. For deep down, he knew that none of the strategies would work. And even if they did, they wouldn't weaken him. This Makutacon was far stronger than any other he had ever faced, and this fight was only getting harder and harder to survive.
Seeing the immediate danger, Armor and War Machine both started shooting at the larger Makutacon, hoping desperately that it would do SOMETHING. For so far, all of their efforts were only amounting to a massive shard of nothing. But this thing COULDN'T have been invincible! It was impossible! But then again, a lot of things seemed pretty impossible before this war started. Out from this horrid war, a lot of horrid things had emerged, and evidently Brawn was one of them.
Just then, as Armor and War Machine had both decided to let up on their triggers a bit, they were both more than shocked to see Brawn turn angrily to them, still pushing Rack down. And the most horrifying thing, though they should've expected it now that they thought of it, was the fact that there was close to NOTHING on him. Not a scratch or a dent or even BLOOD. How was he LIKE this?!, they both thought in their jaw dropping horror.
But both were forced out of their daze of terror when they then saw Brawn quickly turn to Rack, wrapping a left hand around Racks throat, and then hurling him at the two Toabots. Armor raced out to catch him and War Machine walked forward to continue firing, but both efforts became useless as they were both then knocked down by a in-flight Rack.
11111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111
Solar Scream honestly couldn't explain how he was feeling right now. One second he had yet another advantage against the female Toabot, known as Athena, with his masters wife's', Zera, help. But still, every second he got close, regardless of what he tried, Athena still ended up temporarily weakening him or throwing him around like a softball. Not to say that he was wounded or anything, but he started to wish he was as he had started to feel all of the pain surging through his body.
As Solar Scream tried once again to get back up off of the concrete road, Zera wasted no time in trying to at least wound Athena as best as she could. In her left hand, she held a long handled double-sword, making swing after swing with her deadly weapon. But regardless of how quickly she tried to swing, Athena was even quicker in dodging it than what Zera had originally thought possible.
Zera swung at Athena again, this time in a downwards direction. Athena spun to her right side, easily dodging it before then spinning herself to deliver a hard kick to the female Makutacon's lower jaw. Zera was knocked slightly back, ignoring the short strain of blood that momentarily emerged from her mouth as she regained her balance in a single flip. Zera payed closer attention to her opponent as she saw her immediately beginning to charge at her.
Athena swung a left fist, Zera ducked to her right, then grabbing Athena's arm and managing to hurl her forward. Athena got back onto her feet in a single roll, then spinning quickly enough to her left side to dodge yet a swing from the angry female. Now on Zera's right side, Athena acted quickly, managing to send to quick fists at Zera's right cheek. Zera made a short exclaim in both surprise and pain, then attempting a right backhand.
Athena quickly ducked, then sending two hard fists at Zera's chest. Zera made another exclaim as she felt a rib crack, the pain almost immediately adding to her already growing anger. Zera quickly attempted a kick to Athena's right side. Success!, Zera happily thought as her foot made impact, obviously breaking something as Athena started to tightly clutch her right side in intense pain. Zera smiled wider then as she remembered that the force behind the kick she had just used was normally used to break a bone. SURELY that was what was happening with this foolish Toabot.
Once Solar Scream had finally managed to pick himself back up, a few new fighting strategies already forming in his head, Solar Scream had managed to catch something in the right corner of his eyes. At least four moving specs from the look of it. But who were the specs?, he wondered as he then zoomed in on said specs with the zoom on his visor. Upon finally getting a clear look, Solar Scream couldn't help but grin at the sight. Makutacon Brawn, attacking and completely OWNING three other Toabots. Solar Scream chuckled to himself. And he thought HIS fight wasn't going so good.
As Solar Scream then hovered himself in the air, looking ahead still at the four fighting specs far ahead, Zera decided to take just a short moment of attention away from the groaning Toabot, looking curiously at the hovering and grinning Makutacon flier.
"Solar Scream"!, Zera caqlled, gaining his attention. "What are you doing"?!
Solar Scream gave her a grin, then replying: "Making sure a traitor rests in pieces"., before quickly reverting into his plane transformation and zooming ahead.
Zera looked over to the direction Solar Scream flew, seeing immediately what he was talking about. Armor and Rack were trying their hardest to fight off the Makutacon super soldier. And with War Machines help. Zera glared intensely at the sight, then deciding that this case for leaving her alone with a Toabot who was an equal match for her was a more than acceptable excuse.
As Zera had then turned back to the female Toabot, expecting to see her still groaning and moaning in pain, she nearly jumped as she saw Athena immediately dash at her. Zera had no time to react as Athena grabbed her around the waist, then rolling against the concrete before throwing her through the brick wall in front of her. The way Zera had flown through the wall was in a manner that made it look relatively simple, but even now, Athena had started to feel a little exhausted. And as Zera then rolled across a hard wooden floor, she felt a massive surge of pain pass through her body.
Then, trying as hard as she could to fight through the intense pain to push herself back up, she glared up at the female Toabot, snarling: "I will make you pay for that"!, as she then picked her weapon back up, aiming it menacingly at the Toabot.
Athena scoffed, then taking out a large knife from a slot in her left leg, as she made a smirk and replied: "Id like to see you try".

Just nearby, Green, Maze and Edward were standing closely together on a rooftop, carefully watching the large Makutacon super soldier as he proceeded in weakening the three lesser Toabots with utmost ease. Green almost couldn't believe what he was seeing. Armor and the red one both had guns, BIG guns, and Rack was a medic, master shooter and master swordsman. Yet here this guy was, beating the living crap out of them!
Green pulled back a lever on the blaster that had recently been blown off of a Makutacon's tail then, suggesting aloud: "You guys think they could use a hand"?
Maze had started to make a response, planning to make one as far as strategy was concerned, but was unable to continue or finish it as he felt a hard metal surface hit him on the back of the head. Green heard this and almost immediately turned to the source of the sound. What he saw, made him widen his eyes in complete surprise. Maze was now an unconscious and imoble form on the ground as Edward stood over him, glaring at Green.
Green cocked his head for a second then, wondering just WHAT had gotten into him. Green was immediately forced to drop these concerns as Edward immediately raised his sword and started charging. Green jumped away to his right side as Edward angrily swung his blade in a downwards direction, forming a crack in the concrete ground. Green didn't take a seconds hesitation to then grip the Sphere as tightly as he could in his left arm, before then running off as quickly as he possibly could. He wasn't exactly sure what had caused Edward to get this ticked off, but with his life currently being at risk, he wasn't so sure that he wanted to find out.
As fast as his legs would allow him to, Green ran across the rooftop, hearing Edward chuckling not too far away, almost directly behind him. Green didn't even bother looking back as he forced himself to run faster and faster away. Green almost gave himself a mental slap then as he remembered that he had just cut the blaster off of a Makutacon not too long ago, then trying to grip the trigger in his right hand. He instantly panicked. For he then remembered that the blaster he THOUGHT he had with him, he had actually dropped when he tried to roll away from Edwards sword swing.
Knowing full well that his legs weren't going to support him forever, he desperately looked around himself, trying to find some form of escape, PRAYING that he wouldn't die today as he did so. Eventually, he found a ladder far to his left side that appeared to lead to a higher point on the roof. But would this even be logical?, Green thought. Trying to outrun a TOA on a LADDER? Green shook his head then, deciding that it would be better than just doing nothing but waiting to get slaughtered.
Almost instantly, Green made a sharp turn to his left side, running as quickly as he could for the black iron ladder. But as he got closer, the doubt of his success seemed to grow, and Edward's still constant chuckling sure wasn't helping anything. Matter of fact, this whole situation was so terrifying to the Le-matoran that he was nearly stunned into stillness as he heard Edward make a slight grunt of anger. No!, Green thought. No way I'm gonna let you kill me!
Finally!, Green thought upon then reaching the said metal structure, jumping for it as fast as he could, then grabbing tightly onto the metal bars and climbing as quickly as he could, knowing that before he had done this, Edward wasn't too far away. If he moved slowly even ONCE, it could've been the death of him. And he was NOT about to let some temperamental Toa of Earth murder him over... whatever the crap this guy was angry about.
But just as these thoughts ran through his head, Green felt a strong hand grab him by the back of the neck and pull. Green tried to tightly grip the bars as Edward made his pull, but Edward immediately proved himself to be too strong as Green went flying backwards, then landing on the concrete ground with a roll. Green slapped his arms down, trying to stop his roll from forcing him to reach the end of the edge and fall to a quick but extremely painful death, making a prayer that his strategy would work.
Luckily, Greens plan managed to work just fine, stopping him just in time to keep him from falling into the concrete abyss that waited just behind him. Something Green instantly figured out upon making the stupid decision to look to his left side, seeing himself just behind the edge. Green took a long breath then, making a prayer of thanks to God before then looking to his right arm to see the Sphere still safely in his grip, then to his right side to see Edward slowly approaching him with a smirk.
Green cocked his head at the Toa of Earth, asking him: "Edward, why did you just try to kill me"?!
Edward threw his head back for a second, laughing maniacally before then leaning down next to him and showing him the bottom part of his left arm. Green looked at the arm then, widening his eyes at the sickening sight of a tattoo, shaped like a Makutacon symbol.
"Because I'm ONE OF THEM"., Edward told him with a grin.
Green looked up at Edward then with the same wide eyed expression. EDWARD was working for the Makutacons?! A TOA?! Someone who was sworn to protect the innocent and be right at heart for the good of others, was working for a side that wanted to destroy them for their past sins?! Just how could a Toa do this? How could ANY kind of Toa do this? This was like, way worse than Nidhiki's betrayal! Or at least it was as far as he was concerned.
"Well technically"., Edward added. "Yes, I am a Toa, but if you're wondering why I did it, it's because I decided to accept a few simple facts: The Makutacons are gonna win this war". "I've seen what they have, and what they're planning". "And when it all goes down, when YOU all go down, I would rather be a slave than dead". "Oh, and how do I know all of this"? "I've been with them ever since I was 17 and THIS, is just them ringing the doorbell". "So PLEASE, just so lord Killer can have a reason for me to live-, then swinging his sword slowly behind his back,- HAND. OVER. THE. RELIC".
After then taking in everything the traitor-toa told him, Green sat up a little, facing Edward with a glare and responding: "No". "I'd rather fight a war that isn't mine, than just let them take our home like that". "After everything Jesus did for us, I'm sticking with the Toabots".
Green knew just how strong Edward was, and how much more of everything he had over him, but Green didn't care. He didn't even feel as afraid as he was anymore. He knew The Lord was with them on this, otherwise he wouldn't have allowed the peace to emerge between the Toabots and the Turaga. The Toabots knew what these people did to him, and what they did to Jesus in the process. But nonetheless, Jesus died loving every single person in the world, rising again with the same love as life returned to all. For Jesus's forgiveness, he and the toabots would always fight to protect these same people from the Makutacons.
Edward just gave the Le-matoran a sickening smile as he responded: "Wrong answer boy, The Lord is on OUR side"!, then raising his sword and preparing to slice the Le-matoran in half.
But before Edward could raise his blade to the height he had wanted to raise it, he felt an intense pain explode through his left knee, screaming in pain as red flew in seemingly all directions. Edward let go of both his sword and his pistol, clutching what he thought would be his knee before falling hard onto his side, just a short distance away from the ledge. Edward widened his gaze as he looked down at the knee he tightly clutched, seeing nothing else underneath, other than a bleeding hole, as the rest of his left leg stood upwards and still in front of the confused Le-matoran.
Immediately, Green gazed to his left side, seeing Billy standing just a few feet away, a rifle in his hands as he glared down at the Toa of earth. Next to him, stood Ketongu, both of his blasters at the ready. Edward glared up at them for a second, then widening his eyes in fear as he saw the three approach him.
Trying to act like he was confused, he screamed: "Lead-Toa Billy, What are you doing"?!
Billy looked to Ketongu then, giving him a nod. Seeing this out of the corner of his eye, Ketongu aimed one of his blasters at a terrified Edward and replied: "We hereby discharge you from our unity, your duty and destiny, TRAITOR".
Edward glared intensely at the Toabot, letting out a scream of rage and fear before an orange blast emerged from Ketongu's left arm-cannon, making impact with his body, blowing off his bottom half and left arm, sending the rest of him flying before falling and screaming onto the concrete that rested below, a loud echo sounding as Edward's unconscious form then landed onto the ground with a loud metal thud.
As Green watched this happen, he couldn't help but continue to watch Edward's "punishment" for his recent betrayal in complete silence. Yeah, Edward was going to kill him, but he almost started to wonder if shooting him that second time was even necessary in the first place. But as he then looked to a slowly approaching Ketongu, he heard Billy talking on his mic, asking for some form of medical assistance. So right now, as far as Green knew, Edward either wasn't dead, or Billy couldn't live with letting a fellow Toa die. Green immediately decided to take his mind off of this matter upon then noticing Ketongu extending a right hand. Green reached up with his left arm, taking Ketongu's hand and allowing himself to be pulled onto his feet.
"Thanks"., Green said upon then looking up at the Av-Toabot.
"No Green, thank you"., Ketongu responded, giving him a kind smile.
Green looked curiously up at Ketongu, asking: "What for"?
Ketongu put a right hand on Green's left shoulder then, asking: "What do you mean what for"? "You protected the Sphere with your life Green, guarded it from the hands of evil, even when those same hands ended up belonging to a Toa". "And in my eye, that makes not only a soldier, but a hero as well".
Billy had finished his discussion with the medics on the other end before he started listening to Greens discussion with the Toabot of light. Billy simply gave a light grin in agreement as he heard Ketongu say that last sentence. Like Gahu, Green had been doing things left and right that proved there was more to him then his sheer size or image would suggest. Slowly but surely, Green was proving himself to be much more than an ordinary matoran. For in spirit, he was indeed like a Toa.
Deciding to break the silence that was passing, Green then said: "We need to get Maze out of here, the Sphere too".
Ketongu nodded, replying: "We've got another team of Toa here who can probably manage that".
Good., Green thought. Though he had no clue as to who these other Toa were, he was at least happy that there was somebody else here to help them with both this already destructive war and with getting this planet-forming relic out of enemy reach. At this point, the Makutacons getting their ruthless, unforgiving claws on it was the absolute LAST thing they needed. The same thought was running through Billy's head before he immediately spotted an armed, bionicle-made plane flying quickly towards them, thrusters at full blast.
Billy quickly looked to Green, asking: "Green, does that cannon work"?
Green turned curiously to the Toa of fire far to his left, replying: "Yeah". Upon then seeing Billy's "oh crap" facial expression, he asked: "Why"?, a hint of worry in his own voice.
Looking worriedly back up at the fast-approaching plane, Billy responded: "Because we're about to have company in the form of a seriously ticked off plane"., nodding to the flying danger that only seemed to get closer and closer.

Surprised? I won't be surprised if you weren't. A part of me really feels that I should've tried harder to hide this twist. But like he said, Edward is a slave to the Makutacons.
Edward: A slave who was just blown in half!
Biomarvel: Yeah... about that, Edward's not dead. He'll be back for Bioformers 2. You heard that right everybody. Me and Galem are working on a Bioformers 2. We won't give off too much about it, I want everyone to be surprised.
Galem: Well, I guess i shouldn't be surprised that Edward isn't dead, but still...I am surprised.
Biomarvel: Yeah... sorry. Couldn't resist the urge to bring in a shocker.
Galem: it definitely was that. I think it took me awhile to get over the shock.
Biomarvel: (chuckles) I thought at least a few readers would feel that way. (looks to readers) Anyways, we thank you all for taking the time to read this and please, have a Lord-blessed day. :0)
Thank you and God bless! :D
