(opens on a stage where a pair of cages holds NiGHTS and Reala within them. NiGHTS is wearing a white masquerade mask with the eye holes blacked out while Reala's arms are bound in arm length shackles and has many deep scars. The song Circus Monster starts playing)
NiGHTS:

Reala:

NiGHTS:

they start to chant,

LTP: I feel I should elaborate on some things regarding this episode. The setting for this one is actually in the Waking World, where NiGHTS and Reala ended up after a paralooping accident (time wise, it's some time before NiGHTS' betrayal). As a result of entering reality, they both lost their powers and have no way to return to the Night dimension. They were eventually found by a traveling Circus and were captured because of their appearances. Trapped in a world where they don't belong and unable to return home, NiGHTS and Reala were forced to become a sideshow attraction and had to sing to appease the crowd of foolish humans that constantly refer to them as 'worthless Circus Monsters'. At one point, NiGHTS was blinded by a particularly unruly audience member during a performance, causing Reala to lash out at the human. As punishment for his retaliation, the Ring Master locked Reala in the lion's cage, which nearly killed him. As a result of these events, Reala now bears many scars from the lions & his hands and arms are constantly locked in arm-length shackles, & NiGHTS now wears a white half mask to hide her damaged eyes. Also, they both have to perform inside a cage so no further harm can come to them, but it feels more like a prison than a sanctuary.
Jackle: ... Wow, that's actually kinda dark.
LTP: I know, but the idea came to me while I was listening to this song, and I just felt like I needed to put it out there. You know? Plus, Halloween is around the corner, so why not?
Jackle: I guess...
LTP: But don't worry though, none of this actually happened to NiGHTS or Reala, it was just a small story I threw together to make this episode more meaningful. Though, I'm not sure if I should write the story or not. By the way, the lions that NiGHTS refers to in the song are not the ones that attacked Reala.
Jackle: We should probably get NiGHTS out of the cage before she goes stir crazy, you know how she gets in tight spaces.
LTP: Agreed. I swear, the moment I brought up the cage aspect, she started freaking out a bit. And you don't even wanna know how much convincing it took to get Reala to wear the shackles.
