Chapter one

"Potter!" My Aunt Petunia screeched, banging on my cupboard door."Get up!"

"Yes, Aunt Petunia." I sighed, standing carfully as to not hit my head on the bottom of the stairs.

"Hurry up!" She ordered. "Today's a very special day."

Did she finally remember my birthday? Hope welled up inside of me.

"Vernon is getting a very important visitor today." She informed. Disappointment replaced my hope.

"Yes, ma'am." I said once I was dressed. She unlocked the door and i stepped into the light.

Dudley and vernon were wearing suits and Petunia was wearing a long light pink dress that reminded me of the color of a cat puking up salmon. Eeww.

"Now go make a special lunch and when you're done, go back to your cupboard." Vernon ordered. "Don't make a sound."

I spent the next few hours preparing a beef roast, roasted red potatoes, fresh rolls, and steamed carrots. Petunia would probably be taking credit for all of the work I had done that day. Just like always.
