Chapter 12

"Carter. You're hurting me." Cried Haley as Carter's fingers tightened around her throat. "Carter!"

Carter let go of her throat, letting Haley take a deep breath.

"Don't worry baby girl. I'm not going to kill you here." He chuckled grabbing her arm and starting to pull her toward the entrance on the other side of the restroom that would leave them undetected.

"You don't want to do this." Said Haley trying to pull against him to slow him down in hopes someone, anyone would come in. "Just let me go get my things and I'll go back with you…willingly."

"Don't give me that shit Haley." He said yanking her arm forcing her along. "I watched you with that scrawny little bitch. I let you go, you are going straight into his arms."

"Carter. Please don't do this." Begging Haley.

"Too late. It's time to end this."

Leon kept watching the entrance Haley took into the bathroom. She hadn't been out of sight for long but something felt wrong. He kept telling himself he was paranoid because of everything that had been going on.

"Letty." Called Leon not letting his eyes leave the restroom entrance.

"What's up?" asked Letty patting Leon on the shoulder.

"Can you run in the bathroom and check on Haley?"

"You ok?" she asked looking at him concerned.

"Can you just go check on her please?" Leon repeated.

Letty jogged up to the bathroom and quickly ran back out, setting Leon in a panic.

"Dom!" Leon shouted knowing she was gone before Letty could say a word.

Dom came jogging up the beach.

"Haley is gone." Announced Leon throwing on his tank and grabbing his keys.

"What happened?" growled Dom putting his shirt on. "MIA… VINCE!" he shouted to THEM.

"She was feeling a little tired so she and I were going to head home. She wanted to run to the restroom and told me to grab our things…."
"YOU LET HER GO ALONE!?" shouted Dom.

"What's going on?" asked Mia jogging up to the group with Vince close behind her.

"Dom I was right here. I didn't take my eyes off the bathroom."

"There's another entrance." Said Letty pulling her clothes on.

"Letty, you and Mia stay here and get things together and head to the diner. Vince and I will drive around looking for the car. Leon you…. Leon you stay with the girls." Instructed Dom.

"WHAT!?" Shouted Leon. "NO! I won't just sit around waiting for an update."

"YOU lost her! I never should have trusted you to protect her. She's gone again because of you."

Dom started running toward his car leaving everyone stunned. No one saw that coming.

"Le…" started Vince.

"Just go." Interrupted Leon.

Vince ran after Dom. Leon and the women started cleaning up their stuff. Leon remained in silence.

"Leon." Said Mia placing her hand on his shoulder.

"Don't Mia." Mumbled Leon.

"Dom didn't mean that bro. He's worried. This isn't your fault." Said Letty.

"I should have gone with her. If anything happens to her, I'll never forgive myself." Said Leon picking up the heaviest things and starting to walk toward the SUV.

Letty and Mia started following with the bags and towels. They were both scared not only for Haley but for Leon. They knew if anything happened to Haley and the baby…. Leon would never recover.

"Why are you doing this?" asked Haley from the back seat fishing around for a weapon of some sort.

"I warned you last time you tried to leave me." Started Carter. "I am not left. PLUS you are STILL pregnant with MY baby."

"Carter…."

"And if you try to tell me it's not mine then you are not only lying but you are a slut and cheated on me with this piece of shit that made you run away to begin with."

"Where are you taking me?" asked Haley more scared then ever.

"To the easiest place to find you."

Leon frantically looked for his phone; he knew that ringtone.

"Please don't hang up. Please don't hang up." Said Leon shoving his towel off the passenger seat and grabbing his phone.

"Haley!? Where are you? Are you ok?" barked Leon.

"Tisk tisk there boy." Started Carter. "Haley is a little unavailable right now."

"Let her go." Growled Leon.

"No no no boy. She ran right back into your undeserving arm. Oh yes… she told me all about you after I would fuck her insane and we'd laugh at you." Chuckled Carter.

Leon could hear Haley's muffled cries in the background.

"What do you want?" said Leon.

"I want you at the house in 15 minutes. You and you alone."

"Done."

"Oh and boy… if any of your bitch ass cavalry shows up before you get here" Carter paused. "I will kill her. 15 minutes."

Carter hung up before Leon could say another word.

"He's taking her to the house." Leon blurted before Dom could say hello.

"What the hell did you do?" said Dom. "I told you to…."

"He said he wants me. If you or anyone else goes anywhere near the house before me he'll kill her Dom."
