Chapter 13

Leon parked around the corner and walked toward the house. He watched the house for a minute wondering where he was holding her in the house, wondering if he was watching him look at the house. Moments later he cautiously made his way through the back door into the kitchen. Leon slowly and ever so quietly walked toward the living room. The silence was deafening. It gave Leon chills down his spine knowing the house had never been so quiet before.

Leon scanned the living room for any sign of struggle. When he heard something above him, he headed toward the stairs. He crept up the stairs, watching everything around him. Everyone closed their doors. Carter could pop out of anywhere. Leon stood at the top of the stairs waiting for another noise. He heard a whimper coming from Hayley's room so he cautiously pushed the door open and found her curled up on her bed face bruised, hand prints on her arms and her bathing suit cover up was torn.

"Hayley!" Leon said softly, rushing to her side.

"Leon?" questioned Hayley sitting up and clawing at him for reassurance that he was really in front of her. "You shouldn't be here…."

"Are you ok?" asked Leon examining her, seeing hand prints on her arms and a bruised cheek.

"He's going to kill you. You need to get out of here." Hayley persisted.

"Are you crazy?" asked Leon resting his hands on her neck. "I'm not going anywhere without you."

Hayley couldn't hold herself together. She wrapped her arms around Leon's waist and started crying. He held her tightly and kissed her cheek.

"I'm not going to let anything happen to you. I love you, ok." whispered Leon forcing their eyes to connect. "We need to get you some clothes."

Leon got up and quickly grabbed a pair of sweat pants and tee shirt. Haley pulled her sweat pants on but struggled with her shirt. Between her tears and the pain she felt from her arms, she was struggling til Leon started helping her.

"Shhhh Hails. I'm right here. I'm getting you out of here." Whispered Leon.

"Awww how sweet." Said Carter sneeringly.

Leon quickly turned around and blocked Haley.

"Just let her go Carter. It's me you have the issue with now." Said Leon sternly.

"Dude…. She's having my baby, lied to me about keeping it and then left me…." Chuckled Carter.

Haley knew that chuckle. She was scared. His chuckle was never a good sign.

"I'm not letting you hurt her again. It's my baby…. It's my baby she's carrying. If you know what's good for you, you would walk out that door and never talk or even think about Haley and this baby ever again."

Carter stepped forward while pulling a gun out from under his shirt but Leon stood his ground, not budging an inch. He stood strong.

"Who do you think you are?" asked Carter.

Sirens rang outside.

"Carter please." Haley said softly over Leon's shoulder, holding onto the back of his shirt, her shaking hands let him know just how scared she was.

"Shut up. This is all your fault." Shouted Carter aiming his gun at Haley.

"NO!" shouted Leon charging Carter.

Leon slammed Carter into the wall catching Carter by surprise making the gun go off. Leon forced the gun out and away from his hand. He took Carter's unsteadiness to his advantage and punched him repeatedly. Carter regained himself quickly and rammed Leon against the shelf and hit him square in the nose. Leon dropped to the ground.

"LEON!" screamed Hayley running to his side.

Carter moved to block Haley and caught her around her neck.

"Oh no you don't." growled Carter shoving Haley away from Leon forcing her to fall face down.

Carter turned his attention back to Leon and kicked him in the ribs. Haley saw Leon lie knocked out on the floor. Then she saw exactly where the bullet went as blood gushed from Leon's side. Tears filled her eyes at the thought of never feeling his arms around her or never seeing his infectious smile again. Carter picked his gun up and aimed right at Leon.

"Carter, please." Haley cried softly.

Haley started to scream out in pain, holding her stomach.

"Something's wrong Carter." She cried, trying to stand.

"Shut up bitch." Growled Carter as he backhanded her, knocking on her back. "I don't care about that damn baby. You want to act like it's his then I will treat it as such."

Carter grabbed Haley by the back of her head, pulled her into a standing position and pulled her kicking from the bedroom.

"Leon." Screamed Haley.

***FLASHBACK*** (I have to say that this part of the story was written while I was listening to THE HEART WANTS WHAT IT WANTS by Selena Gomez. Leon and Haley are having a hard time in their relationship when they get some news.)

It had been a long night of fighting and crying. The sunlight beamed through the window as the curtains flowed in the breeze like all in the world was good. Leon kissed Haley's shoulder, pulled her back against him and held her tightly to him. He took a deep breath into her hair.

"Are you happy?" Leon whispered into her ear and placing his hand on her still flat tummy.

"Are you?" Haley asked looking over her shoulder, shifting slightly to be on her back.

Leon looked into her eyes and moved to lie between her legs, feathering kisses on her stomach.

"There is nothing that can make me happier than knowing you are having my baby."

"I hope so because I need you now. More than I ever have." Said Haley trying not to cry. "I need to be able to trust you."

Leon could hear the tears in her throat; the ones he put there. He could see the hurt he caused her in her eyes. She tried to stay strong.

"I'm here." He whispered crawling up her body and wrapping his arms around her waist. "I'm here." He repeated putting his forehead against hers.

Haley let tears slide down her cheeks when she wrapped her arms around his strong shoulders. Leon kissed Haley sweetly yet full of hunger for her. Haley slid a hand up his neck and into the hair in the back of his neck as he started kissing her jawline and neck. Haley felt Leon's strong hand slide slowly up her bare thigh. Moans slipped past her lips and onto his lips.

"Leon." She moaned softly into his ear.

"Shhhhh. I need you to know I'm here." He said softly lacing their fingers together and resting it above her head. "I need you to know that I need you. Let me."

Haley sighed opening her neck up to him as he sucked and nipped at her neck. She scratched her nails of her free hand down his naked back and looped her thumb into the rim of his sweat pants. She started pushing them down as he grinded against her, using her feet to push them down the rest of the way her hands couldn't push them.

Leon moaned to her touch. No one touched him like she did; showed him unconditional love in so many ways like she did or gave him all of her like she did. Made him feel as complete as she did. She was everything he could possibly ask for and he hurt her in the worst possible way.

Leon released her hand and shifted, moving her on top of him. He gently yet firmly grabbed her hips and positioned himself at what was sacred to her. She bit her bottom lip as he slowly lowered her onto him. He sat up, pushing his hands into her hair pushing it out of her face. Leon wanted to look at her. He ran his thumbs along her jaw and looked deep into her eyes. The eyes that said it all. He leaned into her and kissed her. He kissed her with hunger, as Haley started moving on him. He wrapped an arm around her waist, keeping his hand on her neck and held her tightly against him.

Haley moaned against his lips and wrapped her arms tightly around his shoulders. She griped at his hair and held him deep in their kiss. Leon held her hips tightly and forced Haley on her back once more. They locked eyes and Leon's hunger poured out of him. He pumped into her with long, deep strokes. He leaned over Haley and crushed her lips with his, kissing her with so much intensity. He could feel her clinching and knew how close she was. He had been touching her body for years; he knew it as well as he knew his own. He picked up his pace, causing her more pleasure. Haley pawed and scratched his back as her orgasm approached her like a title wave. That didn't stop Leon. He continued thrusting into her through her orgasm, making her moan his name.

Haley's legs quivered around him but he just stroked her cheek with his thumb and kissed her again. He didn't remove himself from above her. He knew she loved feeling his weight on her after making love. She loved feeling the closeness it gave her. He rested his forehead against her temple and let her collect herself.

"I'm here Hales…. For you and our baby. I love you." He whispered in her ear. "I'm not going anywhere."

***FLASHBACK***

Leon's eyes shot open but he couldn't keep the groan from a pain in his side escape his lips. He heard the sirens outside and saw the lights glare around the room. He looked around the room and couldn't find Haley. Then he heard her scream. He got up as fast as he could and rushed into his room. He opened his nightstand drawer and pulled out the semi-automatic. He staggered out of his room, holding his side. Leon rushed down the stairs at another scream from Haley. Carter had Haley's hair in his hand and her mouth was bleeding.

"Let her go Carter." Shouted Leon from the bottom of the steps with his semi-automatic aimed perfectly at him.

"Jesus boy, don't you die." Growled Carter dropped Haley and kicking her to the side.

"I'm not going anywhere." Said Leon pulling the trigger.

Haley screamed as the shots and saw both men drop. Carter a bullet hole to the heart and Leon a bullet to his chest. Haley rushed to Leon's side and grabbed his face in her hands, crying, begging him to open his eyes.

Dom and Vince barged in the front door against the orders of the police outside and saw the bloody scene. They moved to Haley and saw the blood all over her and immediately tried to check her.

"It's not me." Haley screamed fighting them off and fighting to get back to Leon's side. "Someone help him."

Haley screamed at everyone that barged in the house.

"Please. Someone help him." cried Haley.

Dom had to force her away from Leon's lifeless form on the ground for the EMT's to get to him while trying to choke back the tears of seeing his best friend shot and bleeding.
