If you thought last chapters cliffhanger was evil your really going to hate me for how this chapter is going to end. Trust me, it's epic!
"Oh, I hope I know what I am doing." Merida said to herself as she ran to the laptop that was sitting on the main table in the lair and started fiddling with it, desperate to find where the hidden bombs were across the kingdom.
"Come on give me something." Merida said right before she pulled up a map to the kingdom.
"Yes!" She shouted to herself when she pulled it up. She saw a little button on the left side of the screen that said "Scan map" she clicked on it and the computer instantly started scanning the map of the kingdom to see were the bombs were hidden.
"Now let's see where you are hiding those bombs you bitch!" Merida said as the map was being scanned. Then suddenly five red dots popped up on the screen. One right in the middle of the kingdom and the others on each edge of Corona. One on the beach on the far top left side of Corona, One near a diner on the far top right, near the Snuggling Duckling, another in a used car lot on the bottom left and the last in a train station in the bottom right.
"Got them!" Merida said as they popped up, Rapunzel and the rest of the Death Force ran over to the laptop to see were they were all hidden at.
"They are all on the opposite sides of Corona," Rapunzel said "How are we going to get to each one of them in the time we have?"
"There's only one way to reach them in time." Merida said as she ran over to her helicopter and opened the back door and revealed five Motorcycles parked in the back.
"You come prepared for anything don't you Merida?" Rapunzel asked
"It's my job." Merida gloated. "Now go, we don't have much time to waist."
"I got the one at the diner!" Rapunzel said as she got on one of the motorcycles
"Me and Jester calls dibs on the beach." Smiley said as him and Jester each got on a motorcycle
"I've got the train station." Spade said
"I'll take the car lot." Sniper said getting on the last motorcycle.
"Good luck." Merida said handing each of them a gas mask. "In case the worse happens take these, you cannot afford to be exposed to that gas. Now go, The rest of the Force will track down the Wolf Pack. Stop those bombs!"
"We will." Rapunzel said
"Now go!" Merida said. Rapunzel and the Death Force members who volunteered to stop the bombs them drove off as fast as they could hoping to reach the bombs before they detonated, otherwise hell was going to break loose.
"They're going to fail you know." Merida heard Terminator say to her from behind in his cage.
"That's where your wrong." Merida said "They will defuse the bombs and they will stop Greyson and whoever the hell is part of his psycho terrorist group."
"Oh I wouldn't be so sure." Terminator chuckled. "I have no doubt that the princess and my former team will reach those bombs. In fact I'm sort of counting on it. You see, Greyson has a little surprise waiting for them when they reach those bombs."
Merida then ran to Terminator and grabbed him by the throat and stared his straight in the eye.
"What are you trying to say?" Merida snarled.
Terminator didn't say a word, he just stared at Merida and gave a sadistic chuckle.
As soon as I reached the castle I wasted no time time busting through the doors and running down hallway after hallway trying to find where Greyson had hid the bomb, when suddenly I felt a arrow graze over my head.
"Eugene, I was wondering when you would show up." Greyson said, bow in hand.
"Where's the bomb!?" I roared pointing my bow at his head. "Tell me or your going to get a arrow in the eye!"
"Alright, I will tell you." Greyson said, not even flinching. "It is in the king and queen's bedroom, stashed in the closet. If you want it though, your going to have to fight for it."
Then Greyson shot another arrow at me, causing me to run to the right to avoid getting hit. After dodging his first blow, I waisted no time in charging toward him as I fired a arrow of my own at him only for him to duck and avoid getting struck. Greyson then put his bow to the side and replaced it with his sword, Greyson swung at me forcing me to block his shot with the back of my bow.
I really didn't have time to fight him, Every second I wasted was a second closer to the bombs detonation. I needed to take him down quickly if I was going to reach that bomb.
As Greyson swung his sword at me I ducked and planted a swing from my bow into his midsection, causing him to tumble to the ground. I then took out a arrow and jabbed it into his hand, making it hopeless for him to try to escape as it took out my yellow arrow, ready to finish Greyson right there.
Suddenly though, right before I could take out Greyson I heard the click of several guns coming from behind me.
"You so much as twitch a finger at Greyson's direction and your dead!" I heard a guard say as I turned around and saw several guards pointing their weapons at me. Great, more trouble.
"It's the Archer, shoot him!" Greyson said while laying on the ground. As soon as the guards fired their weapons at me I made a dash towards the king and queens room. I didn't have time to fight them, probably by now I had probably two minutes, three if I was lucky. I darted toward the bedroom, bullets flying all around me. I dropped a smoke grenade on the ground to try to distract the guards and blur their vision. That distraction was all I needed as a ran towards the king and queens room and burst the door in, startling the royal couple who was asleep in their bed. The shear presence of me must have terrified them because as soon as King Liam saw me he reached for his gun, forcing me to shoot a arrow toward his direction, it just missing his hand.
"Don't you dare reach for your weapons, either of you!" I said in a forceful tone. I hated to talk like this to the couple that let me into the palace after I rescued their daughter but with the seriousness of the situation and with the Archer believed to be a criminal I had to do what I saw fit, and if that meant acting like a criminal by pretending to threaten the royal couple then as long as it got the mission done then so be it. But damn as soon as Rapunzel hears that the Archer threatened her parents I am so going to get a talking to.
I heard the guards running up down the hallway, apparently aware that I had broke into the king and queens bedroom. I quickly shut the door behind me and locked it, I had to make sure they didn't break in and start shooting at me. For extra security though I grabbed the nightstand and pushed it in front of the door as extra leeway, All while watching Liam to make sure he didn't reach for the gun.
"Open the door or we will shoot." I heard one of the guards say.
"I wouldn't do that if I was you." I said disguising my voice to the Archer growl. "King Liam and Queen Gerda is in here with me. You shoot and you risk hurting both of them. I am just hear to retrieve a item then I will leave you peacefully."
"Take whatever gold you want," Queen Gerda said "But there is no way you will get away with your criminal activities forever."
"I'm not Robin Hood." I said am I walked over to their closet, opened it and grabbed the bomb. "I'm not here for gold." After grabbing the bomb I quickly ran out the open bedroom window and slid off the roof and onto the soft grass where Maximus was waiting for me.
"Get us somewhere safe boy!" I ordered Maximus as we rode off, bomb in hand
Outside the palace Greyson was marching toward the gates with every guard in the palace.
"I want all of you to hunt down the Archer and take him down." Greyson ordered. "He is a danger and a menace. And I want him eliminated."
"But Greyson, what if the Archer decides to show back up at the palace and we aren't there."
"He won't show back up." Greyson said "He's not that foolish. Now go! The Archer must not escape!" With that, every palace guard rode out to hunt down the Archer. Greyson just smirked after they left as he turned around and walked in the exact opposite direction, he was playing them all like a fool.
With one minute left till detonation me, Rapunzel and the others each reached the bombs and opened the top off to get a peak at the wires.
"OK is everybody in position." I asked the others on their ear piece as I took out a pair of wire cutters. We were all wearing ear pieces so that we could communicate throughout any part of Corona.
"Roger." Rapunzel said "Ready and in position."
"OK, we need to make sure we cut the right wire, if not then the bomb will detonate."
"I've made several bombs in the pass." Smiley said "And one thing I know is it is almost always the red wire."
"We can't just assume that it's the red wire because of past bombs. We need to make sure." Spade said
"Dammit the bomb goes off in thirty seconds we don't have time to think. It's the red wire." Smiley said.
I stared down at the bomb and decided to take a chance with what Smiley was suggesting. "OK, on three we all cut the red wire." I said as the timer ticked down to twenty seconds. "One," I said
"Two," Spade said from the train station.
"Three." Rapunzel said as we all cut the red wire. And wouldn't you know it the timer actually stopped. Cutting the red wire actually worked
"We did it." Sniper cheered once the timer stopped.
"See," Smiley gloated, what did I tell you? The red wire always works.
"Um, guys, there's something not right here." We all heard Spade say over her earpiece.
"What do you mean!?" I asked
"What I mean is these bombs were supposed to have fear gas in them if I'm remembering right. When we listened in to Alpha Male's plan on attacking Corona he said he was going to unleash bombs filled with deadly fear gas all throughout the Kingdom. These bombs doesn't have that.
I took my bomb apart more to examine it and sure enough there was no tube of fear toxin in it.
"Merida we have a problem." I said calling Merida on her earpiece "These aren't the right bombs! Greyson has been playing us."
"What!" Merida replied hearing that. "But how!"
"Surprise!" Terminator laughed while still tied to his chair, the cage gate open. Furious Merida marched over to the cage where Terminator was held and got in his face.
"Where is the real bombs?" Merida demanded Terminator.
"Oh don't worry." Terminator said with a grin as he quietly sneaked a dagger out of his right sleeve and cut at the roped that bound his hands together. "Your friends will find out soon enough. As for you though my dear, I'm afraid you won't be alive to witness the main event."
Terminator then ripped out of his bounds, and before Merida had time to react, Terminator plunged the dagger in Merida's left side and buried it as deep as he could in her side as she just gasped in shock.
"You know Merida." Terminator said as he grabbed Merida by the throat as he held the dagger in her and twisted it around inside her, making sure it went in deep. "You have been a pain in my side for to long. For years I have been planning of how to finish you if I ever got the chance. Normally I would prefer a quick and painless death. But considering everything you have done to me, the only fitting death for you is a nice and slow one." Terminator then pulled the bloody dagger out of Merida's side as she fell to the floor and curled up into the fetal position, holding her side. Terminator walked outside the cage and closed the door behind him and locked the door, trapping Merida inside as she was slowly bleeding out.
"Farewell Merida," Terminator said "I doubt we will meet again. Just like a doubt anybody will ever miss you."
"You won't get away with this." Merida said as she crawled over to the edge of the cage and grasped the bars
"I already have." Terminator laughed as he walked out of the lair leaving Merida alone in the cage, grasping the handles, as she was slowly bleeding out.
At the car lot where Sniper had defused his bomb, Sniper suddenly started hearing a ticking sound come from underneath him. He searched for where it was coming from and noticed a manhole that led to the sewer system.
"Guys, I think I have found something." Sniper said as he crawled down the manhole. Once down in the sewer the ticking sound got louder.
"Oh there is something down here alright." Sniper said. He then noticed something sticking out in a hole in the concrete wall of the sewers. He peeked to see what it was and noticed a bomb, with ten seconds until detonation.
"Guy's the real bombs down here and it's about to go off!" Sniper cried
"Sniper get out of there!" Rapunzel ordered.
"There's no time, the bomb is about to..." That's when the bomb went off, blowing Sniper up with it.
"Sniper!" Rapunzel cried. "Sniper!" No signal coming from his earpiece. He was gone.
"Shit!" I cried. We were to late. All we could do was witness as a chain reaction happened and bombs erupted all across corona below us. Holes were being blown into the street, fear gas coming out of each one and filling the city at a enormous wait. It had begun, the cleansing of the kingdom as Greyson called it.
"Oh my god!" Rapunzel cried as she witness the gas filling the air.
