A/N: Sorry I didn't upload this chapter yesterday. My internet was down, I was out last night shopping and I was too tired to go on my computer when I got home to check the internet.

But it's here now! So lets get back to this story!

A few more months have passed and it was the day of Valka and Stoick's sixth anniversary. Stoick finished his plans early so he could have the day off. It was the first time in years that he actually got to sleep in. The young chief woke up and decided to make breakfast. He loved his wife, but her cooking was awful. He always made the meals before she could reach the food. Valka woke up to the smell of eggs being fried over the fire. She inhaled the aroma as she sat up and stretched out her arms over her head. The young woman got out of bed to get dressed.

Once she was ready, she walked out of the bedroom and saw her husband setting the table. Valka smiled and pulled out a chair for herself. Her husband followed her actions and they ate their food. While they ate, Valka couldn't help but think about their situation. She placed her cheek in the palm of her hand and tapped her fork on the clay plate. She was wondering if she should bring it up now or later. This seemed like the perfect time to talk about it, but it might be too early to think about something that life changing.

Stoick noticed her and cleared his throat to get her attention. The young woman lifted up her head and stopped tapping her fork. "Val, are you okay? You hardly touched your food."

The young woman took a deep breath before speaking. "I've been thinking. If we want to have children, we should be talking about it now."

Stoick gave her a nod and placed his fork down by the plate. "Okay, we might as well talk about it before we get interrupted again."

Valka smiled, but she couldn't think of what to say. How do you start a conversation like this? Thankfully, Stoick decided to start the conversation.

"Do you think you're ready for children?"

Valka nodded, "I don't know if I'm ready, but I want one. I feel like something is missing ever since we lost Destin two years ago."

"Me too," he mumbled.

"Do we even know anything about rising children?" she asked rhetorically.

"We'll learn," he answered with a weak smile. Valka smiled back, but slowly turned into a frown.

"What if we lose the next one? How are we going to protect our child? I couldn't save Destin, how am I going to save our next child?"

"I don't know, Val. We don't know what made Destin die, but I will do anything to protect our children."

"I know you will, but what if we can't save it?"

"Then we mourn, and try again when we feel ready. If all else fails, we can adopt."

Valka looked down and nodded. "If our second child dies, we'll adopt."

Stoick placed his hand on her shoulder and gave her a weak smile. "Then that's our plan, and we will love our children if they are blood or not."

"Stoick why are we here?" Valka asked as her husband led her into the woods with a seed in his hand. He didn't answer, but he stops when small bushes were in their way. Valka noticed that they were rose bushes, a few held red roses and the others held yellow roses. She smiled and bent down to study the small plants.

"So, this is where you've been planting these roses." Valka said rubbing one of the leaves between her thumb and pointer finger.

"Yeah, I think this is the perfect spot."

"A perfect spot for what?" she asked lifting her head up to look at him.

"For this," he answered showing her the seed.

"What kind of seed is this?" she asked picking up the seed from his palm.

"It's an evergreen. I think we should plant this tree by the bushes in remembrance of Destin."

Valka felt her eyes burning and her vision was beginning to blur. She blinked the tears away and gave him back the seed. "If we plant this tree, it has to be a few feet away from the bushes. Just to make sure the roots don't choke on the bushes' roots."

Stoick nodded and picked up the shovel. He left some gardening tools by the flowers that his mother-in-law let him keep. Once they found the right spot, Stoick dug in the dirt ground. Once it was deep enough, Valka placed the seed and Stoick placed the dirt back in the hole. Valka picked up the watering can and walked to the lake that was a few feet away. She filled up the can then watered the evergreen seed.

A few days later, Valka was walking in the village when she was stopped by her brother. He told her Unn wasn't feeling well and asked for him to get Valka.

Valka walked to her Spitelout's house and knocked on the door. "Unn, it's me! Spitelout told me you wanted to see me."

It didn't take long for the door to swing open. Valka saw Unn with her raven hair undone and looking pale.

"Oh my gods Unn! Spitelout told me you weren't feeling well, but this is ridiculous."

The sick woman pulled Valka in and shut the door behind her. "I just told him I was sick, but I think it's more."

"What do you mean?"

"Valka," she said then whispered "I'm late."

The woman's light green eyes widened as she bent down to her level. "How late are you?"

Unn bit her lip and answered. "About three months."

"Three months?!" Valka cried out louder than she expected to be. Unn shushed her and looked at the door waiting for someone to burst through. "I'm guessing Spitelout doesn't know."

"I haven't told him yet, I wanted to make sure I was pregnant and not something else causing me to be late."

"You have to tell him Unn. This is something you two should celebrate."

"I know, but how should I tell him? We've been trying for months. How do you tell your husband that you're having his baby?"

"Use your imagination, it's your future family." She said with a smile before leaving the house. "Oh, and Unn, congratulations on the baby."

"Thank you." Unn smiled and watched her sister-in-law walk out of the house.

A/N: Snotlout's on his way, so we all know that means someone else is coming soon as well ;)

I'm so excited to write it and that moment will be here before we know it!
