A/N: I was going to post this earlier but I forgot because I was messing with my transcript for college...Well at least it's up now, so let's get on with it!

It was about three days later since everyone got the eel pox. Everyone was well, but for some reason Valka was still ill. Stoick was concerned and asked Gothi if she had some medicine left over. The elder brought a bowl of the medicine and Valka gulped it down. Valka hated the bitter taste of it, and she wished she would get better so she wouldn't have to sallow the medicine anymore.

Gothi noticed that Valka had only as a few of the symptoms of the eel pox. So she brought Gobber in to translate so she could visit Valka while Stoick was out. Gothi wasn't so sure what Valka had, but she knew it wasn't eel pox. So all morning Gobber had to translate while he wanted to be in The Forge.

Gothi said she'd come back once she figured out what Valka had. So the young woman just rested in bed. While she was lying down, she heard a knock at the door and groaned. "Valka, it's me! I heard you're still sick! Do you want anything!?" Valka recognized the voice and knew it belong to her sister-in-law. Valka got out of bed and walked out of her bedroom to open the door. Unn smiled up at Valka when the door opened.

"Hi, I just wanted to come by to see if you needed anything." Unn saw her sister-in-law give her a weak smile.

"I'm fine Unn; I don't think you can help me. Gothi is trying to figure out why the medicine isn't working. So until then, maybe you should stay away from me. Just to make sure you won't catch anything."

"Oh don't worry about me. So if I really can't help you, I can at least listen to how you feel."

Valka sighed and rubbed the back of her neck. "Alright, alright, it looks like I can't get rid of you anyway. So come on in."

Unn smirked and walked in the house. The women took a seat at the dining table and Valka kept brushing her fingers through her messy hair. "So, do you think you still have the eel pox?" Unn asked trying to start the conversation.

"I'm pretty sure; I mean I have the symptoms still. Even though I took the medicine twice, I think I had a small dose of it and that's way I'm still sick."

"What if you caught something else and it's similar to the eel pox?"

Valka put her lips together and shrugged. "Yeah, that might be it. So what do you think I have?"

"Well, what are all of symptoms? Maybe we can figure it out together."

"Yeah okay, um…I've been tried, moody, a bit nauseated and I only got sick once. Umm…yeah that's about it."

Unn crossed her arms and placed them above her bump. "Yeah, that doesn't sound like eel pox, but have you been sneezing or coughing?"

Valka shook her head. "No, I actually haven't been doing that."

"Did Gothi check to see if you had a fever?"

"She did, and she said I was normal."

Unn got up and placed her hand on Valka's shoulder. "Well, I know it's not eel pox, but you need to figure out what it is."

"So what do you think it is?" Valka asked. Unn shrugged and made her way to the door.

"I don't want to assume anything, so I'll just keep my mouth shut on what I think you have." She answered and opened the door to walk out. "See you later, Valka."

"Bye," Valka watched her sister-in-law shut the door leaving her alone in her home. The young woman rested her chin on her palm and crossed her legs. She thought about her symptoms again and thought about what she might be sick with. Then she remembered something important that might help figure out what was going on.

Valka felt her heart pounding once she realized what was going on. She felt so stupid for not figuring it out earlier. Then she saw Gothi walk in with a bowl of medicine. "Gothi, I'm glad you're here! I need to tell you something."

~oOo~

The sun was about to set and Stoick was going home to rest. When he opened the door, he didn't expect to see his wife dressed and pacing around the room. "Hey you must be feeling better. Did Gothi give you the last of the medicine?"

"Um yeah, hey I need to tell you something." She said walking up to him. Stoick shut the door behind him and walked to the table with his wife.

"Okay, so what's going on?"

Valka clapped her hands together and put her hands on the table. Before she could speak, she let out a nervous laugh then cleared her throat. "Okay so I talked to Unn and Gothi earlier today and I do not have eel pox."

"So does Gothi know what you caught?"

Valka bit her lip and rubbed her hands before clamping them back together. "It's not something you can catch."

"What?"

Valka groaned and gave herself a facepalm. "Okay, enough of that, I'm just going to tell you."

"Please tell me, because I'm not so sure what's going on."

Valka sighed and prepared herself to tell him what she found out. "I'm pregnant," Stoick's blue eyes grew wide and felt his heart starting to pound.

"Oh….my…..gods."

"Stoick, are you okay?"

The Chief stood up from his chair and walked over to her and kneeled in front of her. She waited for him to say something, but he just kept staring at her. Valka was beginning to worry and put her hand on his shoulder pad.

"Stoick, can you at least say something? You are freaking me out." Then out of nowhere, she realized she was no longer in her chair and being spun around. Stoick stopped spinning and hugged his wife. Valka felt her toes hovering over the wooden floor. She wrapped her arms around his neck and felt him chuckling on her shoulder. Then Stoick put her back on the ground then gave her a quick peck on the lips.

"Wow Stoick, I imagined you being happy about it, but not this happy."

"Hey give me some credit, I do show how I feel….Well at least around you."

Valka rolled her eyes and smirked up at him. She got on her toes and gave him a kiss. When she pulled away, Stoick asked her a question. "So do you know how far along you are?"

"Well at least two months. I should have bled last week."

Stoick smiled and put his hands on her shoulder. "So it's official, we're going to have a baby."

Valka smiled back then gasped. "We've got to tell the rest of the family! Unn is going to be so excited when she finds out that we're going to raise our children together!"

Stoick let out a chuckle and walked to the front door. "Well let's go," Valka kept her smile on and walked to the door. Once they were outside Stoick shut the door and then walked to Valka Parent's house.

When they were standing in front of the door, Stoick turned to look at his wife. "Are you still on bad terms with your father?"

Valka sighed and looked up at him. "I am still upset with him, but I can't stay mad at him forever. Might as well get over it and make a fresh start."

Stoick nodded and turned back to the door and knocked. He heard footsteps coming towards them and the door swung open. They saw Mrs. Jorgenson and she greeted them with a smile. "Oh hello you two, do you want to come inside?" The couple nodded and they walked into Valka's old home.

They saw that Shoutlout was walking out of the bedroom, and he stopped in his tracks when he saw his daughter and son-in-law. Shoutlout cleared his throat and took a step closer to them. "Hello, how have you two been?" he asked nervously.

Valka took a deep breath and answered "we're doing fine. We are actually here to tell the both of you something." Her parents stared at her waiting to hear the news. Mrs. Jorgenson gestured her hand out to let her daughter speak. Valka smiled and finally spoke up. "We're having a baby!"

Mrs. Jorgenson gasped in surprised and walked over to Valka to hug her. Shoutlout smiled and put his hand on his daughter's shoulder. Valka tensed up at her father's touch, but relaxed and smiled at him. Once her mother released her grip she went over to her son-in-law to hug him as well.

"Oh, this is something we should celebrate as a family! We need to get Spitelout and Unn to join us!" Mrs. Jorgenson cried out.

"Mom, slow down. We haven't even told them yet."

"Well why haven't you? Oh never mind that, they need to know anyway. Let me get them and you can tell them the news!" Before the young couple could even protest, Mrs. Jorgenson ran out of the house to fetch her son and daughter-in-law.

Stoick let out a light chuckle after watching his mother-in-law get excited. He couldn't remember the last time she was this enthusiastic about something. It didn't take long to realize they were alone with the man that changed the meaning of their relationship. Shoutlout sighed and rubbed his hands nervously trying to think of a way to make their situation lighter.

Stoick cleared his throat and took a step closer to him. "Listen, I know our relationship with you hasn't been great, but the past is in the past. I think we both agree that it's better to get along for my child's sake."

Shoutlout turned his attention from his chief to his daughter. She nodded in agreement to what her husband said and wrapped her arms around her father's neck. "Can we let this be behind us?" she asked him. Shoutlout put his arms around her and placed his chin on her shoulder.

Then the door swung open and the rest of the family walked in. The father and daughter let go of each other and they faced towards the door.

"What's going on?" Spitelout asked seeing his sister and father releasing their hug. He hadn't seen his sister go near their dad ever since they found out how Stoick and Valka were set up. The young Haddock couple looked at Spitelout and Unn.

Valka smiled at them and said "we're going to have a baby."

Unn gasped and covered her mouth. "Oh my Thor, I knew it! This is amazing!" she cried out and hugged her. When Unn let go she put her hands on Valka's arms. "We're going to raise our kids together! Oh our children are going to be close!" Valka kept her smile listening to Unn imagining what their children's relationship would be like. Valka too hoped their children would have a happy relationship.
