~~~~~~~Zhao Yun's P.O.V~~~~~~~~
I woke up to find a blanket wrapped around my shoulders. I rubbed my eyes and felt someone looking down at me. I looked up and saw the girl smiling at me. I gave her a questioning stare but I soon got up a bit and looked around. "Good morning Zhao Yun sir." Kimberly said as the room was silent. "Good morning to you as well." I replied.
She just nodded and continued reading a book. Wait… A book? I stared at her before asking, "Where did you get that?" She didn't look up or said a word. I asked again but louder this time. "Where did you get that?" That seemed to catch her attention. "Oh what? Sorry, I was so in to it I don't really notice my surroundings or hear someone talking." She said while playing with her hair.
"Where did you get that book?" I asked the third time. "I got it from your shelf." As she pointed to the books that were hanging on the wall. "In your condition?" She nodded and laughed. "It's not that big of a deal. Plus, I can't stay in one spot forever." He thought about that for a moment. "That's true. We can't just keep you in one spot forever." I saw her about to respond to that but someone knocked at the door. "Who is it?" I asked going to the door.
"It is I, Liu Bei." That's all I needed to open the door. "What is it?" I asked. Liu Bei began explain of what's going to happen and how things will be after Wei has been defeated. "I see. I will prepare everything and take the troops out." Liu Bei nodded in satisfaction. "Very well. See you in the battlefield." I bid my Lord farewell and closed the door. I turned around to see the girl staring at me with very noticeable sad eyes.
"What?" I asked. "Do you really have to kill them all? Can't you… Find another way for everyone to be at peace?" I stared at her and I was going to say something but I closed my mouth. "Is there really no other way to stop this on-going war?" She asked with her voice holding pain. I didn't know what to say to her or what to do. There was one answer that came out. "No." She shook her head in disapproval. "There has to be some way! Lives are being lost and you don't care?!" This time she raised her voice and stood up. This action caused her to wince but she didn't care as she stood in front of me face to face.
"This is war. You can't stop those who die and to bring peace, there must be sacrifices." My eyes widen slightly at the girl. I'm not sure if she noticed but tears were running down her face. It brought me back to when she was crying in her sleep. "Sorry for asking then. I was hoping you can somehow stop this but… I relied on the wrong person." She said before brushing pass me. She opened the door, and soon, it was slammed shut, leaving me alone to think.
I felt guilt rising within myself. I sighed and brushed my hair with my hand. I didn't know what to do with her but honestly, relied on the wrong person? Does that mean she thinks highly of me? I shrugged that thought but soon remembered she was injured. I rushed out only to find nothing. I frowned and decide to look for her. I was near the room where meetings were held and it was opened. I opened the door to find the girl there slightly pale but talking to Lord Liu Bei. Liu Bei nodded and he soon noticed me. I soon regain my posture and bowed. "Zhao Yun, I was about to call you. Please come sit." I walked towards them but the girl looked like she wanted to get away from me as much as possible.
"I'll have to think about it." Liu Bei said to the girl. She nodded and left closing the door. I soon took my sit but something seemed different. "What is it my Lord?" He smiled. "I'm heading to Wu soon." I nodded my head. "Is that so?" He nodded. "We must discuss about how to bring Cao Cao down. Yes, the war is still raging on which is why I'm leaving it at your hands. Jiang Wei will be there as well to assist." I stood up and bowed. "Thank you my Lord." He stood up as well. "I shall departure and head to Wu. The girl shall be returning as well." I stood up straight. "She will be going with you?" He nodded with a smile. "Of course. She does need to return to her friends do you not think so?"
I thought for a moment but agreed. "Everything has been prepared. I'm sure you're ready as well to head off?" I nodded. "Good. We'll be taking off tomorrow first thing." I bowed. "Be safe my Lord." I soon left the meeting room to find the girl. I should probably start calling her by her name. Kimberly. I decided to ask her friend Valentina where she is. She told me she's outside somewhere within the garden. I nodded and thanked her before heading there. The scene is beautiful and the scent is calming. I soon find the girl lying down looking up the sky.
"What are you doing here?" She asked without looking up. "I'm here to tell you that you'll be heading back to Wu tomorrow morning." I took her silence that she already knew. I didn't know what to say or do so I just decided to take a seat next to her. There was silence. It wasn't awkward but a comfortable one. "So… When do you leave?" Kimberly asked as she looked at me. I didn't look at her but looked up at the sky instead. "When the sun begins to set." I heard her giggle. "What's so funny?" Instead of answering, she smiled.
~~~~~~~~3rd P.O.V~~~~~~
Both sides were silent but both were quite content with their time right now. Finally Kimberly spoke. "It just reminds me of a love story." Zhao Yun looked slightly confused. "A guy spends time with the girl he likes until sunset is when he leaves." Zhao Yun chuckled. "Is this what you're thinking it is?" Kimberly smiled. "It sure seems like it." She laughed. "Wait… Aren't you injured? How can you be laughing?" Kimberly stopped laughing and soon sat up. Surprisingly, she didn't feel a thing. "Turn around." She ordered Zhao Yun. "What?" He asked confused. "Turn around so I can lift my shirt up unless… You want to see?" She asked teasingly.
He blushed and turned away. "Of course now! Why would I…?" She laughed. "I'm kidding but still, stay that way until I say you can look." Taking his silence as a reply, she lifted up to shirt to see the wound. She took of the bandages and found nothing. Not a mark on her. She frowned at this. "How is that even possible…?" She whispered to herself but it was loud enough for the male to hear. "What's possible?" He turned to see the girl's stomach exposed and he blushed once again. This time, she also blushed and pulled her shirt down right away. "Perv!" She screamed and began hitting the poor male.
"I'm sorry!" Zhao Yun said while trying to cover from Kimberly's hits. "Sorry won't cut it!" She continued to hit him until a voice broke out. "What's going on- LORD ZHAO YUN!" Kimberly stopped and Zhao Yun put his arms away to turn to the voice. "Ah hello Guan Ping." Zhao Yun said. Kimberly turned. He had somewhat flat out spiked hair and his eyes were like Guan Yu. "What was this girl doing to you?!" He asked slightly panicking. "Uhh… I'm right here and I was hitting him obviously."
Guan Ping wanted to say something but Valentina popped her head in. "What's with all the screaming?" Zhao Yun scratched the back of his head while Kimberly just gave her you-don't-want-to-know look. "Uhh Kim?" Valentina called. "Yeah?" Val looked at Kim weirdly. "Do you know you the position you're in?" Kim tilted her head before looking down. She was on top of Zhao Yun between his legs. Their faces were just inches apart. "OMG, I'm so sorry!" Kim blushed and backed away furiously before getting up quickly and swiftly dragging Val with her to somewhere. Both males stared before Zhao Yun got up. "What do you need Guan Ping?" He asked. "I just heard yelling so I came here to see what the commotion was about."
Zhao Yun sighed while scratching the back of his head. "You don't need to worry." He said while laughing. "I see. Also, I came here for another reason." Zhao Yun stopped laughing and his face became focused. "I'll be going with you to the camp. It seems that Wei has taken down quite a few of our forces." Zhao Yun frowned at this. "What else has Wei done so far?" Guan Ping shook his head. "It seems they plan to take the girls. Valentina and the other one. Even the two in Wu."
Zhao Yun eyes widen at this. "What?" Guan Ping sighed. "I'm not sure myself. The spies we sent there were known and caught. A few of them managed to escape. The others…" He didn't need to finish as the thought of it were already there. "Jiang Wei will be able to fill in the details of the war and what we need to do in order to push Wei's forces back." Zhao Yun looked up at the sky before answering. "Very well. We'll need to prepare for our departure." Guan Ping nodded in agreement before leaving. Zhao Yun stayed where he was for a while longer before heading back in to his room to check if he has all his items for the trip.
~~~~~~To where the other two are. Valentina's P.O.V~~~~~~~~~
I was being dragged by Kim as she was blushing like mad. I had to hold back my laughter but as soon as she let me go, I couldn't hold it anymore and laughed away. She was obviously glaring at me but that just made it even more humorous. Kimbelry sighed and leaned back against a tree waiting for me to calm down from my laughing fit. I soon did but had to let out a few giggles here and there. "So… Why did you drag me out here?" I asked while smiling. "What else? To get away from there. That was just plain embarrassing." She said while covering her face with her hands.
"I don't know see what's so bad. But one thing for sure, you like Zhao Yun." Kimberly's head shot up. "I make it way too obvious… But hey, you like Guan Ping, don't you?" I made a frowny face. "No. Why?" She shrugged. "I don't know. I just wanted to see what your reaction was." I tilted my head to the side. "I don't think that's the reason why. Come on, tell me what's going on." I said deciding to sit on one of the tree she was leaning on. She slid down and brought her knees to her chest. I started to get worried. "What's wrong?"
She sighed. "You know how people said some things are just too good to be true especially since things like this don't exist in our world?" I gave her the signal to keep going. "I want to stay here but… At the same time, I don't." I stared at her. "That's not the only thing bothering you is it?" She shook her head. "I also like Zhao Yun but… He seems way older than me and he probably doesn't even like me the way I like him." I giggled. "Is that it?" Kim turned her head towards me. "Val, he's a fictional character. Plus, we're not suppose to be in this world."
I closed my eyes before opening them again. "I know but… There's something else you should know though." I had all her attention this time. "Even if he's not real in our world, we can still dream. So what? Even if we aren't from this world, we are now. Live in the presence. Plus, you never know if he likes you or not." I decide to lay in the grass with my hands over my stomach. "Just live as it is right now Kimberly. Maybe you can marry him and stay here?" I added the last part jokingly.
She tried to hide her smile but I can tell that the thought I gave her is making her happy. "But he's probably older than me…" She said then slightly shrugged her shoulders. "He's 23. 5 years older than you are." (I know he's 25 in the game but… I decided to change it a bit. Liu Bei is also like… 29 o-o) "That's not good then. I'm only 17. Turning 18 soon." I laughed while Kimberly gave me a confused look. "Did you know that people here marry some people that's 10 years older than them?" Kimberly gave it thought. "I remember some information in history saying that younger people married some old people. It gave me the creeps." She shruddered at the thought.
I laughed. "Well… Yeah, he's still older than you but you like him. Maybe… He likes you back?" She sighed. "Let's not start. I need to marry someone that's near MY age. Not… Him obviously." I got up. "Well… It all depends on you." She got up as well. "I know. Let's just hope it doesn't end up completely awkward." We both smiled and decided to head back but I added one last thing. "Hey Kim, do you remember a few of the guys in our school." She stopped in her tracks. "What guys?"
I took a deep breathe. "The ones that kept you know…" She clenched her fists. John, Braxton, Chris, Roy, and Mack. The five guys that everyone fears the most in the school. (This is not true! Please don't feel offended anyone.) Their very violent and also the biggest players in the school. The girls 'love' them no matter what they do! The only ones don't like them is us four. Diana, Brianna, Kimberly, and myself.
"What about them?" She asked in a calm voice. I can tell she still hates them but I had to let her know. "They're here. In this world." She turned towards me with a shocked. "What?" I looked up at her. "I don't know how but they managed to enter this world and… It seems that they were the ones who spilled out the information about us but remember Sima Yi?" She nodded. "Well… He wants to use us for something. I'm not sure what or how but it won't end up good." Kimberly bit her bottom lip. "How do you know about this?" I sighed. "I overheard a conversation in the meeting rooms when the generals were talking."
Before I could say more, Kimberly spoke up. "Wait… So everyone KNEW that we'd be coming here?" I shook my head. "Not everyone. Few of us did. I know for sure Wei did but Shu just recently. It never reached to Wu." I can tell from Kim's face that it was hard to believe but she knew I didn't lie. "So… This was like a set up." I nodded my head. "It seems that way but… Did you happen to get it from a lady with white long hair?" Kimberly looked at me. "Yes. How did you know?" She asked surprised.
Before I could answer, my eyes drifted towards the sky. "What's that?!" Kimberly turned around and saw what I was looking at. "We have to let the others know!" We both ran inside but as we were looking for the others, I realized Kimberly wasn't in pain. "Wait!" I stopped running and Kimberly stopped too. "What is it now?!" I tried to catch my breath. "You're not in pain anymore." Kimberly was breathing pretty hard to. "Yeah… I found out before I started beating up Zhao Yun." I smiled. "I can see why they want you but not us."
Kimberly seemed to be in a daze until she shook her head. "No time for this! We have to find out what's going on!" We continued running but soon, we were near the gates and it was shaking. It soon opened with a loud BANG! And Wei soldiers were coming in. They started surrounding us and there was no way we could get out. "HELP!" We both cried it out but soon the soldiers were closing in on us. Kimberly punched the one closest to us and I kicked the second one that came but there was too many. We soon got overpowered and they held us down.
Kicking, punching, and screaming, we still couldn't escape. We were soon tied up, our eyes covered, and we were gagged. It was futile trying to fight back but we did anyways. We were soon thrown into carriage I suppose. It started moving and the road was very rocky. My head kept hitting on solid object or the ground of the carriage. Soon enough, my head hit hard enough, causing my vision to be blurry. I couldn't see Kimberly's condition and soon enough, everything went even darker than before.
