THE SALVATORE SISTER - CHAPTER FIVE - GUESS WHO'S BACK

The next morning Damon woke up early. The first thing he thought about was Violette. Had he really seen her, or was it just a dream? Oh god, he wished it had truly happened, he wished she was here right now. Damon let out a deep sigh before he got out of bed and took a shower. While showering, Damon thought back of the night before. How the hell did he came home last night? He couldn't remember. Quickly he got out of the shower and got dressed. He had to go back.

Once he arrived at the same spot he was the night before, he could smell another scent. A familiar scent, but he wasn't sure from whom. He had hoped to get a small glimpse of her. A small glimpse of his little sister, but she wasn't there.

Back at the Salvatore Manson, he walked straight into Stefan. To be honest, Damon didn't want to be around his brother. He didn't want any company, he wanted to be alone. But before Damon could even walk away, Stefan opened his mouth and began asking some questions. ''Where have you been? I didn't hear you come home last night.'', Stefan asked. In response Damon shrugged. ''I was out. Don't know how I came back.'', he replied.

That's all he had to say. Damon wanted to be alone. He left his brother without another word and walked straight to his own room. Once he closed the door, he could feel anger rise in himself. He needed to punch someone or something. Thinking about his baby sister didn't help at all. He had almost even forgotten about her. About Violette. He slammed against the door and let out a cry. He felt miserable. He sat down on the side of his bed and rushed a hand through his dark colored hair.

A few minutes later Stefan knocked on the door and walked inside. Damon didn't even look up, he was staring at the ground. His mind set on Violette. ''What's it all about?'', Stefan asked, quite confused by his brothers sudden anger. Damon let out a deep sigh before he looked at his brother. ''Violette.'', he softly replied like it was forbidden to talk about her.

For a minute Stefan kept his mouth. He wasn't sure how to reply. It had been such a long time since the last time he thought about her. Even Stefan had some guilt feeling about it. Maybe he could have saved his baby sister. ''I saw her yesterday Stefan. I swear it was her. It really was her Stefan.'', Damon said, trying to convince his brother. Stefan shook his head in response. ''You were drunk Damon.'', he said. Damon let out another sigh and stared at the ground. ''She should have been here, with us. Not buried in the ground.'', Damon told his brother. ''She's dead Damon. I know you want her back, so do I. But she is dead for longer then two-hundred years Damon! Face the truth!'', Stefan spat back at his brother. Damon looked his brother in the eye for a second before he looked back at the ground. ''Leave.'', Damon commanded his brother. And just like his brother told him, Stefan left the room without saying another word.

Just like the night before Damon left the Salvatore Manson and went to the Mystic Grill. After a couple of drinks and some simple greetings to people he knew. He wasn't in the mood for any more social talk. He wanted to be alone right now. He finished his glass of bourbon and left the Mystic Grill. He wasn't sure where to go to, but soon he decided to visit her.

Once he arrived at the graveyard, it didn't took very long to find her grave. It was next to all the Salvatore graves. He could see his mother's grave, his father's grave and his little sister's grave. Damon kneeled down down infront of his sister's grave and looked at the carved words in the stone. 'Violette Salvatore, beloved daughter and sister', it said. He let out a deep sigh, it wasn't true. Their father didn't love her and he even doubted his brother loved her. He was the one who cared about her, always. But he had been so caught up with Katherine that he had forgotten her. Just like the others in their family. If he had been there for her, maybe she would still be alive.

Someone let out a chuckle. Damon rise up from the ground and he could see someone standing in front of her grave. He must have been so lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice someone walking in on him. A teenage girl with dark brown curly hair, pale skin and bright blue eyes. She was looking familiar, too familiar. While Damon was still studying her face, she started to show a smile. That's when he reconized her.

It was her, it was Violette. ''Why so sad Damon?'', she asked. A smile appeared on Damon's face as he walked towards her and hugged her. He was holding her close for a minute before he let her go again. He couldn't believe it was real, that his baby sister was standing right in front of him. God, he had missed her so much. He didn't want her to leave or dissapear again. ''Oh God, you have no idea how many times I wished for you to come back. Or the many times I wanted to do things over, so you'd live again. I am so sorry Vio.'', he told her. Her eyes had been teared up and she nodded in response. ''I know.'', she softly spoke with a shaky voice.

Their eyes met and they both showed a smile. ''I should have come back sooner, to let you know I'm still alive. I'm sorry.'', Violette said to her brother. ''You shouldn't be sorry Vio. Tell me what happened.'', he responded. ''Don't you see Damon?'', she asked and Damon shook his head in response. He didn't had a clue at all. ''I'm like you Damon, I'm a vampire.''
