Scarlet rolled over in the silky sheets, refusing to open her eyes. She was so comfortable that she never wanted to get up again, but her Time Lord brain did not agree with her. It was yelling, almost screaming at her to get up. She finally snapped and opened her eyes to see a floppy-haired Time Lord almost inches away from her face. She jumped back, resulting in her bumping her head on the bed's backboard.

"What the hell, Doctor?" She said sleepily but angrily, rubbing the back of her head.

"Sorry, I was checking if you were awake." As soon as he finished talking, he went back to looking at the papers in his hand. Scarlet looked around the room, finally realizing it wasn't hers. The walls were red with golden Gallifreyan etched across it and all the drawers and closets were a dark oak.

"Is this your room?" He nodded, still focused on the papers. "Why am I sleeping in your bed?"

"Because my workshop is not a very adequate place to sleep in," He said, pointing to the door on the other side of the room. Crap, I must have fell asleep there last night.

"And where did you sleep?"

"I didn't. It's fine though, I found out what was wrong with the food generator and fixed it. She could have easily fixed it herself but she probably just wanted to bother Clara or something. Anyways, I also went to the library and found these." He waived the papers in the air and handed them to Scarlet. They looked like plain white papers with printed Gallifreyan on them. Then she read it.

"Is this an adoption paper?" She asked, reading over it again.

"Well yes...maybe...sort of... On Gallifrey you couldn't adopt a daughter or son, because even if they looked younger they could have regenerated double the amount you have and it makes things confusing...anyways instead of adopting someone as your child, you would adopt them as a brother or sister." He looked at her, raising his eyebrows.

"So you want me to be your sister?" He smiled.

"Yes, I certainly do." He pointed to a line on the paper. "All you have to do is sign." Scarlet thought for a second. Why does he even want her on the TARDIS, let alone as her brother? She felt like after last night he should be furious with her and ready to kick her off the TARDIS in a second. He seemed so nice and forgiving way too quickly, should she be careful with him?

The Doctor watched as she was thinking. He didn't know if she would sign it or not. He truly did forgive her, but he knew that she was going to feel hated and not to be trusted. But that's why he forgave her, because she knew her faults and regretted them.

After a long pause, Scarlet picked up the pen and signed her name. She looked at the Doctor and smiled.

"So what do we do now, Bro. Go pick up Clara?" She thought back to the girl they dropped off last night. She kindly asked for one more week away and the two Time Lords granted her wish.

"Nah, get dressed in something cool Sis, because I have a whole day planned for the two of us," He said, his grin reaching new heights. He opened the door for the sleepy blonde to exit and then ran to the console room to actually plan something.

Scarlet walked into the control room. She wore a pair of light blue short shorts, a white blouse and her black converse. The colors were unusually light for her but it felt right for some reason. She looked at the Doctor to see something unusually...unusual. He wore a pair of black shorts that went down to his knees and a purple polo shirt. It looked like a modernized version of his usual outfit, except for the brown bowtie he snuck in between the collar. She bursted out laughing.

"What?" He said frowning, "Does it look bad?"

"No, it looks fine. I'm not used to your skinny limbs hanging out of your clothes." She said, lifting up his arm and then dropping it. She leaned over the console and smiled. "So what required us to wear such light clothing?"

"Were going on a vacation."

"And where to?" She smile became wider.

"The District of Colombia!"

"You mean Washington D.C?"

"Yes! Full of museums and history, plus I have the perfect American tour guide."

"Who?" He raised his eyebrow at her, "Really, me?"

"Yes, you are completely American, perfect for the job."

"Fine, then I bet you that I can talk all British and proper for the whole trip." He narrowed his eyes.

"It's a bet." He said, shaking her hand. "But if I win you get to hand wash all of my bowties." He said smiling.

"Deal, but if I win I get to pick out your outfits for a whole week." The Doctor's smile went straight to a frown as they stepped out of the TARDIS.
