A.N- 50TH CHAPTERRRR WOOOOOOOOOO:) Thank you all for making it this far because it has been absolutely fantastic writing for you guys and getting all your wonderful reviews! I'm sorry that I am updating way less then I used to... you can all virtually punch me or something...but it's not really going to get any better with the inconsistent updating:(. But I'm here right now, so let's get to the chapter!

PS- I actually have a '50th Chapter special' but my timing on chapters didn't turn out well so it'll take place when this plot concludes.

Washington D.C was a wonderful place. The architectural masterpieces rose up high into the perfectly blue sky and pierced the puffy white clouds. The heat wasn't too bad for a sunny summer day, but the Doctor was grateful that he wasn't in his usual get up. The heat was lightly dancing across their arms, finding its way to the Doctor's pale, usually sun-shielded arms.

Scarlet looked over to the Time Lord. The sunlight was bouncing off his white toothy smile. The vitamin D in the air was creating an anti-depressant, not even a Dalek could be angry here. She smiled back at the man to hide what she was really thinking about... the bet they had placed. She had pulled off a perfect British accent since they started, and she did not plan on giving up anytime soon. It was also extremely fun because she was able to make fun of British people anyway she could, which wasn't really her intention, it just bothered the Doctor a lot.

"Excuse me, but is that the White House?" She asked some random woman as she pointed to the Capitol building.

"No ma'am, that's the Capitol building."

"Really? But it's white...and look at that one, that's white too!"

"No, that's a museum." The woman answered.

"So many white houses..." She said to conclude her act, walking towards the Doctor with a smirk on her face. He just shook his head disapprovingly.

"You know, British people aren't that stupid."

"Yeah, and not all Americans guzzle down coffee and stuff their faces with Big Macs. Welcome to the world of stereotypes." The Doctor didn't say anything, but silently approves and caught up with Scarlet, who was now nearing the end of the block.

They had been walking for a little while now, blending in with the crowds of businessmen and tourists. The Doctor looked around and frowned.

"I've been thinking.."

"'Bout what?" Scarlet asked, still with a British accent.

"In America, they have all these Italian restaurants and Mexican restaurants and Chinese restaurants and-"

"What's your point?" She interrupted, not in the mood for a ramble.

"Why don't they have any British restaurants?" Scarlet bursted out laughing, exaggerating the funniness of his words.

"I think you know the answer of that already, Doctor."

"One day, I'll open my own right in D.C, and everyone will come and eat there."

"What's the menu? Blood pudding, custard, and tea?"

"Are those the only British foods you know?"

"Pretty much, yeah."

"Well I'll have Clara teach you the fine delicacies of the United Kingdom."

"If you ever remember to pick her up."

"Oi, I haven't forgotten. We'll pick her up after our vacation... and look! We're here." Scarlet looked up to the large building. It was white and round, towering right at the corner of the street full of museums. She had been here before, but she never thought she would come back, especially with the Doctor. She reread the name of the building and turned to the Doctor.

"You've got to be bloody kidding me."

"What?" The Doctor said, afraid he disappointed Scarlet.

"The Museum of Air and Space? This is the place you were just dying to see?"

"I happen to have an interest in this topic." He argued as the walked up the steps to enter.

"Yeah, like I haven't noticed." She paused as they went through baggage check. Scarlet reluctantly left her tool belt on board so all she had was a small black messenger bag. "Wait a second... you just want to look at everything to prove it wrong."

"No I don't, I just want to see the sights...like usual."

"Fine, but you promise you won't cross things out with a sharpie or something."

"I promise."

"Good, I'm going to go pick something out in the Gift Shop for Clara, you go do whatever."

"Yes, boss. Meet back at the shop in an hour if we don't meet up before then." He mock saluted Scarlet and walked off, flashing a smile before turning around. Scarlet let out a giggle, who knew such a serious man could be so childish sometimes; or maybe it was the other way around. She pondered this as she walked off to the gift shop to get Clara one of those cute teddy bears with the astronaut suits on it.

The Doctor was loving this place. Everything about it was so fantastic. It showed all the hard work humans did to get into the sky and beyond. He wished he had a camera or something, but he left everything onboard; even his sonic screwdriver. He wandered into an exhibit on the solar system and looked around in awe of the model planets around him. What made him intrigued of such simple destinations spots was something no one else would find out, sometimes he himself wondered the same question. He found himself staring at the little dwarf planet Pluto.

"Don't worry little one, in fifty years tops you shall be a planet once again." He smiled, hoping to lift the piece of plastic's spirits, even though it had none.

"Excuse me." A deep voice said from behind him. The Doctor spun around to see a tall man standing close to him. He wore an employee's uniform. He had dark brown hair and even darker colored eyes that were staring right into the Doctor's. Before the Doctor could answer, the man spoke up again.

"Would you like to come to our free planetarium show?" A smile peeked on the Doctor's face.

"Of course."

"Here is your ticket, it starts in ten minutes." The tall man walked away quickly and moved to the next person he saw, handing out tickets. As he felt the thin slice of paper in his hand, the smile broke out. He took some more time to look at how wrong they were about the atmosphere on the moon Titan, then exited to find the planetarium.

The planetarium was large and beautiful. The gray cushioned seats surrounded the large dome that covered the ceiling. The Doctor quickly found a seat where he estimated the best view would come from and squished his bottom into the comfy seat. He looked over to the empty seat next to him; he completely forgot to ask Scarlet if she wanted to come! She would probably complain about how they could just fly the TARDIS millions of light-years from there. Spoilsport.

Suddenly, the lights flicked off; encasing the large room in darkness. He heard a young girl scream.
