The young girl's scream was quick, like she didn't have enough time to let the whole thing out. Many murmured to the people next to them in worry, but soon a man's voice filled the room.
"Now there is no need to worry. It's only dark so we can see the stars better." The man's voice was calm and reassuring. It almost had a hypnotic feel to it. The Doctor hoped it calmed down the little girl as he laid back into his seat and watched as the stars appeared on the dome above him.
It was truly beautiful. Not like he couldn't see it any day, it was just enjoyable to see it like anyone else on this planet could see it. The domestic way to see the stars. He sunk farther into his seat, the soothing music mixed with the man's calm voice could almost put him to sleep. He even heard a couple yawns in the small crowd. Right now the man was talking about all the constellations- or all the constellations Human's knew about, there were so many more.
The Doctor was so relaxed he hardly noticed the seat under him giving way, only letting out a quick gasp as he quickly plummeted down and hit his bum on a unfamiliar surface. Now wide awake, he looked up to see two men in black suits, pointing guns directly at him.
Although the museum was not one of the places Scarlet would have picked when she had the whole of time and space to explore, it was pretty neat. She quickly bought the space teddy bear for Clara and then put it into her bigger-on-the-inside purse. She then walked around to view some of the sights.
She usually didn't get a lot of alone time on the TARDIS, except for those few nights she stayed up in the library reading whoever's history book she could get ahold of. Now she was roaming a busy museum alone, leaning about even more history. For some reason the Doctor landed them in 2013, probably because that's where they had just dropped Clara off. Not that she really cared or anything. She avoided the war areas and took a look at how incredibly slow they were going with the Mars exploration. She got interrupted when she heard a woman behind her.
"Excuse me ma'am?" She quickly turned around to see a skinny older woman wearing an employee's uniform.
"Yes?" Scarlet asked kindly.
"Would you like a ticket to see our planets show, it's in twenty minutes." Scarlet looked down at her 'watch'.
"I'm sorry, I have to meet a friend in 15 minutes." The woman handed a ticket to her anyways.
"Well, have it just in case." The woman scuttled off quickly, before Scarlet could even say thank you. She hadn't realized how much time had passed herself, so she exited the exhibit to meet up with the Doctor.
"And who might you be?" The Doctor said, slowly standing up.
"Just put your hands in the air, slowly." The shorter of the men said, raising his gun as the Doctor stood up. The Doctor put his hands in the air. The taller man lowered his gun and pulled out a slim rectangular item that looked kind of like a enlarged cell phone. He raised it up and a beam of light shot out, scanning the Doctor.
"Definitely alien." The tall man said.
"So that's it, you're alien catchers. Like an American Torchwood." The men looked at him, having no idea what Torchwood was. They didn't say anything else.
"Come on, give me something! Who are you? What organization do you work for?" The Doctor was getting a little annoyed that the men were being so secretive. Bloody men in black suits. Instead of talking to him, they turned to each other.
"Lock him up until we are ready to interrogate, we might need to make some more pickups." The tall man said to the short man, the latter veering the gun so it was almost touching the Doctor's back. He directed him to a cell occupied by one person, a little girl.
Scarlet came a little early to their rendezvous, hoping she could meet up with the Doctor so they cold explore together. She waited for about twenty minutes and he still hadn't shown up. She shouldn't have been worried, but she was. He probably just lost track of time or something. She walked up to a tall dark haired employee who seemed to almost be walking in circles around the gift shop.
"Excuse me," The man turned as she got his attention. "Have you seen a man, tall, wearing a bow tie anywhere?" She asked, still with a British accent. The man smiled.
"Yes, he went to our planetarium show, it is starting in a couple minutes, you should go yourself." Scarlet got slightly annoyed that the Doctor broke his promise to go see some dumb planet show, but the Doctor does lie, A LOT. She pulled the slightly crinkled ticket out of her purse and walked to the planetarium.
The Doctor was calm, cool, and collected. He usually was. Getting locked in a cell was not a big deal. It was usually better when he had his sonic, but he was still fine. He walked over to the little girl sitting very close to the cell door and kneeled down next to her.
"What's your name?" He asked.
"Well my Earth name is Abigail, but my birth name is Manyetha." The girl said, showing little shyness in her voice.
"Well hello Manyetha." He said with a smile.
"They are going to arrest me." She said, not wanting to continue the Doctor's conversation.
"Why?"
"Because I came to this planet illegally, my parents adopted me thinking I was Human, but someone found out." She said, loosing her cool.
"So that's what they are, Alien Police. Who knew you needed to enter the planet legally?" The Doctor said, thinking about the fifty years he did differently. He looked back at the girl, slightly fixing her hair. "Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you. The girl smiled.
"Thank you." They both remained quiet until the young girl raised her head, like a spark went off in her brain. "Did you come here with someone?" She asked. Before then, the Doctor almost completely forgot about Scarlet.
"Yes, how do you know?"
"I can hear the humans talking, they said she entered one of their shows." The Doctor listened, but couldn't hear anything. When he little girl saw his confusion, she pointed to her ears. They were more pointed and complex, making them able to pick up more sound, well that's what he guessed. The Doctor was extremely intrigue by the girl's ears, but then remembered about Scarlet. He hoped she was okay.
Scarlet entered the show, mad that she was late. The lights were already off, making it impossible to find the Doctor. She slipped into a seat to watch the show. She would look for him once the lights were back on. While the man talked about atmospheres or something boring, the seat under her dropped, taking her along with it onto the ground below.
"Bloody hell." She said, getting out of the seat that she was still in. She was greeted with to men in black suits with shades on, pointing guns right at her.
"She entered the room." The little girl said.
"Brilliant, can you recite their conversation?" The Doctor asked.
"Not really."
"Why not?"
"Well, they're not really having a conversation. All I can hear is a woman laughing."
"Laughing?!"
