"Sister, wait for me!" Complica said with a bright smile on her face, the young princess running down a hallway inside her home in the chronofly kingdom. The unique multicolored stones and pillars gave the interior a colorful and decorative appearance while youngest princess of the land was dressed in her elegant white dress with white shoes as she typically was when inside the family castle. Further ahead she saw Luna watching her with an amused smile, the eldest sister standing out on an extended balcony overlooking the kingdom from high up in the castle.
"I'm right here, Complica. I'm not going anywhere," Luna said kindly while shaking her head, watching as her younger sister tripped and fell to the ground with a thump and a twitch of her wings. Complica rubbed her head then stumbled back into a run towards her sister while Luna held in her laugh at seeing her sister once again following her around everywhere she went as fast as she could. Before Complica could reach her however she suddenly tripped again over Falla's foot, the third sister appearing instantly next to her and walking towards the balcony with a smug grin on her face.
"Whoops, sorry, didn't see you there," Falla quipped with a glance back to Complica.
"Falla, you did that on purpose," Luna scolded as she rushed over to help the young princess up.
"How could you say such a thing? I merely came here to look at our lovely kingdom, I didn't see the little dear there when I shifted out of time," Falla reasoned with a shrug as she walked out onto the balcony.
"That's impossible, you had to have seen her frozen in place when you came here, you deliberately walked in front of her and shifted out to have her trip over your foot," Luna snapped at her while holding Complica close, the young girl looking down with watery eyes as she held onto Luna's dress with one hand. Falla scoffed and looked back to her with a dull stare.
"Oh please, quit babying her, she's the one who's always running everywhere she goes. It was only a matter of time before she tripped over anything. In fact, now that I think about it, she owes me an apology for running over my foot," she mentioned while glancing to Complica expectantly. Complica whimpered and looked down with closed eyes.
"Sorry, Falla," she said softly.
"Don't apologize, Complica, you didn't do anything wrong. And you, Falla, why must you always be so cold to your sister?" Luna demanded while walking over towards Falla. Complica watched them with worried eyes as the two sisters got in each other's faces as they came to odds once again.
"It was a simple accident, and she already apologized for it, so let it go, dear sister," Falla hissed.
"You're always so cruel to her and I, why must you be like this? We're family," Luna insisted.
"You speak as if that's going to move me to tears, like I care about your words at all," Falla derided with a roll of her eyes.
"Please don't fight, not again," Complica spoke up, though not being heard.
"You're the one who should apologize to her, right now," Luna ordered.
"Why should I?" Falla snapped.
"Because she's going to be your queen one day, that's why," Luna shot back.
"Like hell I'm bowing to her. Not now, not ever, do you hear me?" Falla grunted with anger.
"Father and mother made their choice, when Complica comes of age she will be the new queen of this land. Whoever she chooses as her mate will be the new king, and you will bow to her just as I and all the others in our kingdom will do. Now, apologize to your queen," Luna sternly ordered while pointing to Complica.
"That brat is not my queen!" Falla shouted back.
"Please don't fight," Complica whimpered while shaking her head. Luna held in her growl as she glared at Falla.
"No, right now our mother is, and she too has told you time and again to be nicer to your little sister. And another thing, you know as well as I do that Complica's magical aptitude with our magic is extraordinary for her age, when she's older she will have even more control over the time stream than any of us. She's been selected to be our ruler for good reason, you cannot deny that," she lectured.
"The brat got lucky with her aptitude test, big deal," Falla scoffed.
"Lucky? Falla, she shifted the entire royal court into time all at once! She suspended time for all of us for two whole minutes, with only her magic keeping us shifted. She didn't even have to hold onto anyone, she extended her time shift to others without physical contact. She did what we thought to be impossible!" Luna shouted out at her.
"So? She hasn't been able to do it again since, she can't do anything with her magic except cause bursts of instability and destructive chrono waves. She's nothing but a mistake to this family," Falla snapped back.
"Please stop, stop fighting," Complica whimpered while holding her hands over her ears.
"She's still young, she can't control her magic that well yet, but in time when she grows and learns how to use it she will surpass us all with her abilities," Luna defended.
"There's no way to prove such a stupid theory as that, father and mother chose hastily with her to be their successor all because of a fluke event. I know our magic inside and out, I know how to control the most powerful and dangerous of spells, I'm the one who knows how to rule over others properly, I should be the queen, not this miserable excuse for a chronofly!" Falla shouted back. Luna slapped her hard, with Falla recoiling from the hit before growling quietly at the girl.
"You know nothing of being a just ruler, you only care about power and lording it over others, you would bring disaster to our kingdom if you were chosen to be queen, something father and mother know very well. Now, our king and queen have made their decision, you will honor that and you will apologize for your harsh words and actions towards your sister," Luna sternly ordered.
"Not a chance in hell," Falla hissed. The two sisters glared at each other before Complica shook her head and called out to them with a few tears in her eyes.
"Please stop! Don't fight, not again!" she cried out. The sisters looked to her as she whimpered and wiped her tears away.
"Please, I don't want you two fighting, especially over this. I'm sorry I was chosen to be the next queen, I never meant to be. I don't even know how I did what I did, it just happened. I'm so sorry," Complica pleaded.
"Complica, you don't have to apologize. What you did was incredible, it was a sure sign that you truly are gifted with your magic," Luna reassured kindly.
"Bullshit, it was an accident, nothing more," Falla scoffed. Luna glared at her again while Complica looked down and away with remorse.
"I'm sorry, Falla," Complica said softly. Looking back to her sisters she saw them both staring each other down with discontent again, a familiar sight in that home for the young princess. She then noticed something else outside that made her eyes widen and her jaw drop slightly. Shakily she pointed to something with a nervous whine, both her sisters then looking to her curiously as she trembled and backed up a bit.
"Complica?" Luna asked.
"What's with you?" Falla said dryly.
The two sisters then looked outside and jumped with surprise; both seeing the sky above shattering into fragments that flew off into a dark oblivion. A blast of torn space and time rippled through the land, annihilating the entire kingdom with a violent wave of destruction as it raced towards the castle.
"What the hell?" Falla yelled out as the sisters backed up a bit. Complica screamed as the wave of fractured space and time struck against the castle, the young girl shutting her eyes and ducking down as she cried out at the top of her lungs. After a while she slowly looked around, seeing that she was still standing in the hall as everything had fallen silent. Looking back to her sisters she jumped with a horrified scream, seeing the two princesses frozen in time with tears of time striking through their bodies. Falla looked to be in the middle of screaming, her face showing agony as the tears of space and time were slicing through her neck and chest while Luna was staring in horror at the waves that were pulverizing her body and arm.
"NO!" Complica cried out as she saw the frozen state of her mortally wounded sisters. Shakily she stood up while staring at her sisters with horror then looked to seeing that there wasn't anything but total darkness outside of the building, the entire kingdom of the chronoflies and the world having been wiped from existence by the destructive wave of time.
"What's happening? Is this a dream? Please let it just be a dream I want to wake up let me wake up wake up Complica please wake up just make this horrible nightmare end!" Complica cried out while hitting her head with eyes shut tight.
"I'm afraid this is no dream," a voice came from behind, with Complica then quickly turning around to seeing another Complica standing there behind her, this one holding a unique bat with a clock in it while her expression was of remorse.
"I'm sorry, but this is the end for your world," the anomaly Complica said gravely, her voice echoing slightly in the silence around them.
"Wha… are you… me?" Complica asked shakily.
"Yes, and no," the anomaly replied with a shrug. Complica looked at her with frightened eyes then over to where her sisters were frozen in place.
"It's too late for them," the anomaly said, bringing the other girl's attention back onto her.
"No, they're my sisters, please, I have to help them. I have to… I just have to. What's happening to them, why is this happening?" Complica asked desperately.
"Just as I said, this world is coming to an end. They're going to be erased along with it," the anomaly replied simply.
"But you kept me alive just now, can't you help them? Can't you do something for them too?" Complica begged with her hands held together in a pleading manner. The anomaly merely shook her head, with Complica then breaking down into tears while looking back to her sisters.
"What do you mean you can't? Why not? I have to save them, I have to help them somehow, I can't just do nothing!" she cried out.
"Listen to me," the anomaly said, with Complica looking back to her as the strange girl slowly walked towards her.
"In less than a second outside of this time shift everything in your entire reality will be erased forever. Those in this world will cease to exist. There will be no afterlife, no future, or even a past to reflect upon, everything will simply be gone," the anomaly informed solemnly.
"No. I don't believe this, this is just a bad dream!" Complica cried out while hiding her face with her hands.
"But it doesn't have to end for you," the anomaly said, with Complica looking back to her between her fingers.
"You can either fade away into time with this reality, or help save another, the choice is yours," the anomaly continued.
"What are you talking about? My sisters are right here and they're going to die and you're not doing anything to help them why won't you help them aren't you me I would never be so cruel to-" Complica ranted before the anomaly held a hand over her mouth to silence her.
"Please do not pass out now, I do not have the time to wait for you to recover," the anomaly plainly said. Complica stared at her with wide eyes as the anomaly lowered her hand and took the young princess's with a gentle touch.
"Listen to me. You are the only one who can stop this from happening again. The only one who can save the Luna and Falla who were once my own sisters in what was once my own reality. Nothing can be done for this world, I'm sorry, but you can still save another. Please, help me," the anomaly pleaded. Complica whimpered and looked over to where her sisters were frozen in time, both of them being past the point of saving with their mortal injuries.
"What are you talking about? Who are you anyway?" she asked looking back to the anomaly.
The anomaly led Complica further into the castle while remaining silent, with Complica watching her with wonder and fear the entire way. After a small trek the two girls arrived in Complica's room, with the anomaly leading her over to her desk and sitting her down on her stool.
"I have to do this right, I have to do this the only way I can. You must listen to what I say very carefully, and write down everything I tell you to in the order I tell you to. Understand?" the anomaly explained firmly. Complica looked at her with puzzlement as she wiped her tears away then down to her desk.
"What? But… what's going on? What are we doing here?" she asked.
"If you wish to save another world along with our sisters, you will pick up a pen and start writing, right now," the anomaly ordered. Complica hesitated then slowly brought out a paper and took hold of a pen.
"Alright, just… don't yell at me," she whimpered.
"I'm not, you would know very well if I was yelling," the anomaly said glancing around the room. She vaguely recalled living in such a place during her mortal years in her world, though such a place now seemed only like a hazy memory in her mind. Of course her more recent stay at a certain castle came to mind much more clearly.
'I must make time when I can to visit my dear Harbinger again. I could really stand for a quiet game of chess with him again.'
Complica looked to the anomaly curiously as the girl was just staring off into space.
"What is it? What are you looking at?" she asked while trying to find what the girl was gazing at. The anomaly shook her head then turned back to the girl.
"Never mind that. Now, I'm going to start talking. What I say may not make sense, and may frighten you. But please, write everything down that I say in the order I say it," she explained, with Complica nodding and looking at the paper with worried eyes. The anomaly took a steady breath then looked to the paper while holding one hand on Complica's shoulder gently.
In the frozen state of time Complica started writing everything the anomaly version of herself said, the young princess struggling to stay focused and write each and every word that her double relayed which only confused and scared her more and more. The anomaly watched as her alternate self wrote the message clearly and word for word, her hopes that this little loophole she concocted would hold up and help keep her sisters from enduring a horrific fate that her counterpart's had. After the entire message had been recorded Complica shakily looked to her double with horror.
"What is this?" she breathed out.
"A dire fate that you will be able to help them all avoid," the anomaly said distantly.
"How? How can I stop this?" Complica whimpered as she looked back to the message. Of all the words written down, of all the horrible atrocities that were yet to happen, of all the pain and suffering that awaited those that lived in this world she would be traveling to, the single name of the monster responsible for the total annihilation of not only her world but also soon this other one sent chills down her spine.
"Discord…" she shakily whined.
"On the seventh day, she will awaken, and all time in that reality will end," the anomaly cited gravely.
"She's the one who killed my sisters?" Complica asked looking to her with fright.
"She's the one who kills everyone," the anomaly said shaking her head.
"Why? Why is she doing this? How can she do this? What are we going to do?" Complica whimpered.
"I can do nothing more than what I already am. My laws are absolute; I cannot change them no matter how much I wish to. However, I can go around them in a way, with you," the anomaly replied with a smirk.
"I don't understand, what are you?" Complica asked.
"You have the letter, now place it in an envelope and prepare to leave right now. Change into human apparel so not to stick out in their world, you must hurry," the anomaly ordered before walking over to the young princess's window. Complica stared at her with confusion as the double gazed out at the dark void that was about to devour the entire castle and world in a matter of seconds after the time shift ended.
"Wait, what?" Complica asked shaking her head.
"You heard me. Now, get ready," the anomaly said sternly, her voice echoing in Complica's mind. The young princess jumped with a squeak then frantically placed the letter into an envelope and sealed it. She rushed over to her closet and frantically started sifting through her clothes while the anomaly closed her eyes with a quiet sigh.
"And you must remember what I said to you, you must follow those instructions to the letter. Provided you can reach Moka and her friends with that message everything will fall into place as it should," the anomaly reasoned before looking down with closed eyes.
"Moka," Complica said looking to the letter again.
"Find her and deliver that message. Give that to her however you can. The fate of that world, that entire existence, rests on you now," the anomaly repeated. Complica whimpered and resumed getting changed into her preferred attire of human clothes.
"I don't know if I can handle this, this is all too much. Isn't there anything else you can do to stop this?" she asked desperately.
"No, this is the only way to warn them that I can, the only way I can stop what's going to happen to this world from happening to that one. Everything that needs to be known I had you write down. Hurry and finish changing, we need to go," the anomaly ordered while turning her gaze back out to the window. The young princess slowly nodded and resumed getting changed into her human clothing.
"I think I'm going to be sick," she said quietly to herself. Once she had finished getting dressed she walked over to her double while holding onto her pink jacket.
"Hide your wings, you don't want to be seen by all humans as you really are just yet," the anomaly said without even turning around. Complica nodded and retracted her wings then put her pink jacket on before pushing the envelope into its pocket.
"Um… thank you, for saving me like this," she said softly.
"Don't thank me, it's I who should be thanking you," the anomaly said turning to her with a faint smile. She walked over and took hold of the girl's hand before swinging her bat to the side, ripping open a tear with a neon blue cosmos glowing within. Complica looked at the rift with wonder then to the anomaly who showed her a serious expression again.
"Remember, no matter what, do not use any chrono magic, or else you will be found by very bad monsters. Do not let anything stop you from delivering that letter, it's the only way to ensure our sisters' survival along with that world. And do not waste time, you only have seven days before Discord awakens," she instructed firmly.
"I promise I'll do my best. I won't let you… me… us down," Complica said with a weak smile.
"Good. I won't be able to talk to you after you leave this world, I won't be able to see you again either. But you can do this, I have faith in you. Although we will not meet again I know you'll succeed and live on with our sisters," the anomaly said genuinely. Complica looked at her with puzzlement from that before the anomaly waved her bat around, causing the spatial rift to stretch and wrap around them. In a flash they vanished along with a crackle and a distorted wave of air, followed mere moments later by the complete destruction of the reality by the expanding dark void.
Complica watched with wonder as her double held her hand and guided her through a fast moving cosmos until they reached a place with countless floating gardens drifting about. Before she could say anything a deafening bang echoed out behind them, with Complica screaming and looking back to seeing a spatial gateway exploding with a violent burst of chrono waves and dark space.
"Wha… what is this? What just happened?" she asked shakily. Looking to her double she saw the anomaly no longer saying anything, only giving her a remorseful frown and shaking her head.
"Where are we what's going on what is this place why aren't you saying anything how come you can't talk to me now what's that about please talk to me I need to talk to someone to calm down I'm freaking out here this is all way too much I can't handle this all at once please say something about-" Complica said franticly before growing dizzy and gasping for air. The anomaly merely gave a small amused smile as Complica lost consciousness and went limp while floating in the space.
"Good luck, Complica," she said quietly before spiraling around and swinging her bat, creating another flash of torn space that enveloped them before vanishing along with the two girls.
The anomaly Complica stood on a cyan colored marble glass floor in her own space, the dark void all around having countless floating clock faces with quiet ticking sounds coming from them. She had her eyes closed as she watched a very specific timeline in a very specific reality, her focus being on another Complica who was sleeping on an abandoned sofa in an alleyway. The anomaly watched the girl carefully as she slowly woke up and rubbed her eyes.
"I'm sorry I couldn't guide you more, but I have faith you'll find your own way," the anomaly said distantly. Complica looked around in a daze then jumped with surprise to see she was not in her home castle anymore. She then proceeded to run back and forth quickly in a panic while rambling on about how scared and confused and strange this all was, with the anomaly showing a weak expression with closed eyes still while she watched the girl with her power.
"Ok, that's enough of that. Focus, you have a job to do," she urged.
Complica ran around in circles for a while then stopped suddenly, her hand reaching into her pocket and pulling out the letter she had written back in her own world. She paused for a moment then sighed and pocketed the envelope before looking around with a worried expression.
"Good, you remembered. Just keep your eyes and ears out for Moka and her friends, I doubt they'll remain hidden from you for long," the anomaly Complica said with a smirk as she watched her counterpart slowly leave the alleyway and walk along the crowds of people in the city they were in.
What do you think you are doing?
"Why, I have no idea what you're talking about," the anomaly Complica giggled.
You cannot break your law, you know this.
"And I didn't. I spoke to her freely when her reality was at an end, my words could have done nothing to change or influence that fate in the least, and as such did not cost her any time of her life by me relaying what I did to her," Complica asserted. She then cleared her throat, as if to cut off the other voice before continuing again.
"And then I brought her to live in that world, which is allowed because if you will recall the Complica in that world should not have left the way she did, such an event was certainly a violation of the laws of reality. There should have been a Complica there still, but the funny thing about that was, there wasn't. So, in essence, I merely fixed what I broke when I left like I did. There is now a Complica in that world, as there should be. And wouldn't you know it, she started her timeline and existence in that world with full knowledge that she gained in her own timeline that doesn't seem to exist anymore. What are the odds, right?" she said with a smirk.
That… cannot be allowed.
"Why not? Based on the order I did things here, and by following the exact laws I have as they are written for me, I have in fact done no wrong. I merely corrected the problem of a missing soul in that world, one that will not be missed as her world does not even exist anymore. I placed her out of sight and out of the way of anyone in that city, thus not directly interfering or altering their timelines either. And if she so happened to learn anything from her old world, no matter how she learned it or what it was, then I guess it's only fortunate that she retains that knowledge for her new timeline in her new world. Who knows, such information just might come in handy for her," Complica said arrogantly.
You… cheated.
"No, I merely played your game and won. That Complica down there is the Complica for that world now, there is no denying that and you know it. That's her only world, her only reality. What she does in it now is up to her and her only," Complica retorted.
You influenced her!
"No, technically I only spoke to the Complica of a reality that no longer exists. I have never once spoken to the Complica in that timeline she is in now. Her only influence to do anything is just of a memory she had of her old reality, one that is no longer exists and is, for a better term, void," Complica quipped while crossing her arms. She then showed a serious expression and shook her head slowly.
"She's on her own now, that much is of course a reality. Hopefully she'll be able to make the difference in that world. I pray that she does," she said softly. With a sigh she opened her eyes and glanced behind her.
"Anyway, I've done all I can do. It's in her hands now, all that's left for me is to wait and see if it will work," she concluded. Glancing back forward she watched as the new Complica slowly made her way through the city, a worried expression on the girl's face and her hand holding onto the envelope in her pocket tightly. The anomaly Complica watched her carefully, her eyes giving off a faint green glow briefly as she seemed to be observing something that could not be seen.
"She really is just like me, her destiny and timeline are difficult to see. We truly are anomalies in our own way. Hopefully I'll be able to see her new fate more clearly, and soon. Until then, no telling what awaits her or those she comes across," she said distantly. After a while of silence she stretched out her arms with a relaxed sigh.
"Now then, I need to unwind after all this. I think I'll go pay him a visit now, I hope he's missed me during my time away," she mused before turning to walk away, stopping after a few steps and then looking down to her dress. A curious smile came across her face as she cocked her head to the side.
"Hmm, I know what will get him to smile for certain when I return," she giggled, then waved her bat around across her in a swift motion. As it passed over her the clothing she wore shifted from an elegant dress to a black and white French maid outfit, a long white cat tail attached to the back of her skirt with a blue ribbon tied on the end in a bow, and a black headband with cat ears on it. She looked over her ensemble with an amused murmur then slowly waved her hand over her neck. As she drew her hand across a pink collar with a small bell attached to it formed around her neck, the girl giving the bell a small flick with one finger before giggling to herself.
"I still do not understand what it is about this look that is found to be so appealing, but I just love hearing him call me 'adorable' when I wear it. Perhaps if I beat him in chess this time he will explain to me why this outfit is so revered," she mused ruffling her skirt with one hand. With that she then spun her bat around at her side before crossing it in front of her, trailing a torn rift of time that enveloped her before vanishing along with the girl in a bright flash.
Walking along on a sidewalk in a human city Complica felt her anxiety and fear growing with each step. She was alone, surrounded by crowds of humans, deep inside a city she had never seen before, and was without family that just a few hours ago she still had in her life.
"I can do this… I can do this… I can do this…" she quietly repeated to herself. Glancing around she saw so many people, none of which were paying her any mind yet were intimidating to her nonetheless.
"Pink hair, vampire, scary when mad. Pink hair, vampire, scary when mad," she reminded herself over and over of the only description she had received from her other self as to who this Moka person was.
"Pink hair, vampire, scary when mad. Pink hair, vampire… oh, how am I supposed to find her? Or any of their friends, I don't know who they are at all. Why couldn't that other me tell me more about this?" she whined while looking down with sorrow.
"I can't do this. I can't find them, I have no idea where they are or even where I am. But I can't fail with this, everyone here is going to die in seven days unless I find Moka. Arg! Where is she?" she cried out with frustration.
Suddenly she gasped with a blush before jumping forward with a yelp. Turning around she saw a man in a trench coat grinning at her with his hand still held down to where he was rubbing her rear a moment ago. Complica trembled and backed up a step before someone grabbed her shoulders, the girl then looking back with a yelp again to seeing a guy dressed in a leather jacket and a toothy grin on his face holding onto her.
"Hey there, little girl. You lost?" he asked in a sneering tone. Complica watched the other guy get closer before she screamed and kicked back against the man's shin hard. As he yelled and let go Complica dashed off into the crowd as fast as she could, with people watching with confusion before the two men started running after her.
"Come back, daughter! It's dangerous to run off all alone!" one of them called out to keep suspicion off of them. Complica ran through the crowd of people, bumping and making her way around several humans as she looked back to seeing the two men chasing her still.
"Why are they after me what did I do why was he touching me like that what was he doing that felt so wrong why was he doing that to me?" she frantically asked herself. Running across a street several cars screeched to a halt with their horns blowing, causing Complica to scream in terror again as she ran aimlessly over to another block. The two men quickly followed after across the street while onlookers watched the scene with confusion.
"Be careful, dear! You have to look both ways before crossing the street!" one of them called out.
"I can't do this I can't do this I can't do this!" Complica cried out while a few tears started to form in her eyes. She bumped into a man before stumbling off to the side and continuing down an alleyway in her panic. The two chasing men ran over and looked to seeing the girl running off between the buildings.
"So sorry about that, sir. Something must have spooked our dear little girl," the guy wearing the trench coat said kindly to the passerby before the two ran into the alley after Complica. The puzzled human watched them go then shrugged and continued on with his walk.
Complica ran around a corner then banked to the side of a dumpster as she sprinted through the darkened alley as fast as she could.
"Remember, no matter what, do not use any chrono magic, or else you will be found by very bad monsters."
"That's not fair!" Complica whined as she looked around quickly for any way out. No stairwells or doors were seen, with the walls of the corridor reaching high up several stories above her.
"Hide your wings, you don't want to be seen by all humans as you really are just yet."
"Could you have possibly made it any more difficult for me?" she yelled out with despair. After a while she ran up to a dead end in the alley, her mortified scream echoing out as she looked up and around at seeing herself trapped.
"No… no no no no! This can't be happening! I can't fly, I can't shift. What am I supposed to do?" she cried out. Turning around she quickly pushed herself back against the wall with fright as she saw the two men running closer to her. They started laughing and walking towards the girl as they watched her cowering in fear.
"Why are you running? We're the good guys here, we're going to take very good care of you," the guy in the leather jacket said.
"Go away, leave me alone!" Complica yelled out at them.
"How old are you anyway? You shouldn't be walking around like this with no protection. A lot of unsavory fellows might want to play some naughty games with you," the guy in the trench coat chuckled before licking his lips. Complica whined and quickly zipped up her jacket then slumped down against the wall while holding her legs close to her chest.
"Get back! Stay away from me!" she cried out.
"Aw, the poor thing is scared," the guy in the jacket sneered.
"Let's show her there's nothing to be afraid of. Don't worry, we'll be gentle with you. At first," the other said before they started laughing. Complica's eyes widened as the men walked closer, her breathing picking up as she became frozen in fear.
"Help me… someone…" she breathed out.
The men laughed while reaching for their pants before an echoing motor sound was heard throughout the alleyway. The humans looked to each other confusedly then behind while Complica slowly turned her eyes to seeing what was getting closer. A figure was slowly walking towards them from the shadows in the corridor, chainsaw in hand which was revving up now and again. The moving teeth scraped and sparked against the side of the alley as the wielder carried it easily with one hand.
"What do we have here?" the new girl asked in a cutesy voice. The two men turned pale with terrified faces as the chainsaw revved up into a loud roar, with Complica staring with an open mouth as the new girl started giggling.
"Playing with such a little girl like that. Very naughty. You two need to be punished, hee hee."
All was dark as a set of large steel doors unlocked with a loud clank. Slowly they opened, the light from the other side illuminating a small path out into a darkened hall.
"Come this way, don't linger behind," Xia-Long said while waving for someone to follow. Behind him a man dressed in a white lab coat rolled a large steel cart with a four round containers atop it followed by a Fairy Tale soldier dressed in black clothing.
"Um, is this… safe?" the scientist asked nervously, his eyes glancing around to seeing nothing but total darkness surrounding them.
"Don't worry, everything is controlled here. Relax," Xia-Long replied with a casual shrug. The three walked out into the middle of the hall where the light from the open doorway came to a stop.
"Don't we need more of an escort than this? I mean… aren't we in danger being here all alone?" the scientist asked shakily.
"Shut up and get them ready," the soldier scoffed while looking around. The scientist nodded and quickly unfastened the latches atop the containers before looking ahead and jumping with a scream. Standing before Xia-Long the clone copies of Ruby, Kurumu, Yukari, Mizore, and Kokoa were seen against the darkness, their cold eyes just staring at the three visitors while they remained perfectly motionless.
"Come now, they're not that frightening are they? Don't you think they look rather cute to some degree?" Xia-Long laughed while he looked over the five dark doubles.
"Hurry up, they're waiting," the soldier chuckled. The five clones slowly walked around Xia-Long towards the cart, their eyes remaining locked onto the scientist who trembled in fear. They exuded no threatening monster aura that could be felt, rather they had the sense of death itself lingering around them.
"Well?" Xia-Long said glancing back to the scientist with a raised eyebrow. The man jumped then shakily took the top off of a container. Inside were glowing gemstones and rubies that resonated with a strange power. The man quickly scooped the stones into his hands and held them out, with the Yukari clone reaching over and taking them from him. She started munching and eating the stones with loud crackles and crunches, her teeth mashing up the magical items while her eyes glowed red briefly.
"What exactly are we feeding them anyway? This is food for them?" the scientist asked as he watched the monster devouring the gemstones. He then took the top off another container, this one having a large bloody heart inside.
"What is this?" he asked with a disgusted face.
"That's the heart of an ogre, now hurry up before it gets cold," Xia-Long said casually. The scientist slowly took hold of the large organ and lifted it up, dripping blood back into the container as he questioned how this was food. The Kokoa clone stepped forward and took it from him, then viciously started eating it and slurping up the blood. The scientist watched with a disturbed expression then opened the third container, this one having a thermos with a cold mist surrounding it. The man hesitated then used a set of tongs to grab the thermos and lift it up.
"This is safe for them?" he asked as the Mizore clone took hold of the thermos and opened it. She started drinking the liquid inside, a few drops falling from her chin and hitting the floor where they sizzled and flash froze the ground solid with a hissing sound.
"Of course. These are elements which their enhanced bodies use to strengthen themselves. I doubt you could eat such things personally and survive, but for them these are wondrous delights," Xia-Long explained.
The scientist opened the fourth container, having inside of it several brightly glowing flowers with blue and yellow petals. The strange weeds gave off a powerful aroma of mold while they appeared like anything but ordinary plants. The man looked at the flowers with wonder before the Ruby clone reached into the container and grabbed them all, taking them out and shoving them into her mouth with a low growl. The scientist watched as the four clones consumed their meals, all of their eyes still watching him with the same piercing stare.
"That's right. Magically enhanced earth stones, the blood of an ogre treated with Blackheart itself, a dry ice cocktail, and flowers grown with a very powerful magic spell. Unique meals for unique monsters such as them," Xia-Long reasoned. The scientist nodded slowly then looked to the Kurumu clone as she walked closer to him.
"Um, but what about her? What does she eat? We didn't bring anything else," he said confusedly.
"Her? She feeds off the lifeforce of men," Xia-Long said carelessly as he started walking off to the side.
"Wait, what?" the scientist asked with a jump. The clone then grabbed and pulled him into a fierce kiss, his scream being muffled as she quickly ripped his coat off then his pants. When the kiss broke he gasped for air as a trail of sparkly light lingered around his lips and eyes before the girl shoved him down onto the ground. As she started to work him up with one hand while holding the screaming man down with the other the soldier scoffed and walked off after Xia-Long.
"Wait, what is she doing? Help me!" the scientist cried out. The clone then held her hand over his mouth and proceeded to straddle him, shoving his member into her before she started to vigorously hump him with a cold stare in her eyes. The man's muffled screams did nothing to stop her as he frantically tried to move her arm, which also proved to be futile with her overwhelming strength.
"Yeesh, that's a rather fucked up way to go," the soldier commented to Xia-Long as they came up to a glass containment pen. The cell had a faint crimson glow from within however the interior was hazy and nothing could be made out inside through the glass walls.
"Having your lifeforce sucked out of you by a succubus, I suppose there are worse ways to die in this world," Xia-Long mused before he climbed up a ladder alongside the pen. The soldier looked back to where the Kurumu clone was raping the scientist to death while the other clones merely watched as they finished their own meals.
"Maybe, but still," the man said before quickly following after Xia-Long up onto the pen. Atop it was a guardrail set all around the edges while the glass floor had scratches and burn marks all over on the inside.
"We go through so many peons with the feeding process. Still, it is worth the cost. Those unique monsters are going to cause quite the commotion in the human world very soon," Xia-Long said while eyeing over the glass floor they were on.
"That's what I'm hearing, it should be an interesting show to watch. And what about her? How does she play into it?" the soldier asked looking down as well. The two were looking at a vampire who was staring up at them with a deranged look in her eyes. The clone of Moka snarled while she strained to free her arms from two large shackles linked to the ground. The steel chains creaked and groaned while the floor below her cracked even more, the monster never ceasing with incredible strength to free herself. The soldier took out a remote and pushed a button, causing the interior of the containment pen to light up with electricity. The Moka clone roared out viciously as she thrashed about, her arms still yanking again and again on the steel chains holding her down. After a moment she snapped free and jumped up to the ceiling, jamming her fingers through the glass instantly which cracked all over severely.
"Dammit, nothing keeps her down. There's just no stopping her once she sets her sights on someone," the soldier grunted.
"That's not true, there is one way to buy time with her," Xia-Long commented. He hopped up onto the guardrail as the clone yanked down with her hand, the glass roof of the pen shattering apart with the soldier falling down into the pen with a yell. Xia-Long watched with a bored expression as the soldier screamed out in agony, the man's blood and flesh splattering all over the walls and floor of the pen as the Moka clone savagely tore him to pieces.
"Just give her something to kill instead of you," Xia-Long finished before he took out a PDA device from his shirt and pushed some buttons. From above another reinforced glass ceiling lowered down and fastened into place over the containment cell. The inside of the pen lit up with electricity again, doing very little to slow the clone down from ripping the soldier's body apart in her rage. Xia-Long watched the clone relentlessly butchering the corpse in her pen before he hopped off onto the ground floor again. Walking away from the pen he waved the other clones off, all of them then slowly heading off into the dark chamber out of sight. He then selected a contact on his device and held it to his ear.
"This is Xia-Long. We're going to need two new replacements to help out with the subjects. Oh, and Subject Number 1 is loose in her pen again, send the guards in to restrain her if at all possible. …how many? All of them if you can," he said before pocketing the device. As he walked towards the exit the scientist screamed into the Kurumu clone's hand before struggling to breathe. He started to spasm while the clone pushed down on him with her hips, a cold expression remaining on her face as her eyes gave off a crimson glow. The man felt his strength leaving him while his thoughts went completely numb, the sensation of something being yanked out from within him causing fear to etch into his mind. Slowly he started to fall limp while the clone gave a few more hard humps before gently arching back and closing her eyes. The man's hands flinched before finally dropping down, his body turning pale as his lifeforce was being taken out of him by the monster.
"I suppose there are worse ways to die in this world, though not many I'm sure," Xia-Long commented to himself before he closed the door with a loud clang. Inside the chamber the soft crimson glow from Subject Number 1's pen gave the only light as the dark monster within started running around hitting against all the walls in her unstoppable rage. Within the darkness the other five clones looked towards the caged monster with cold expressions still, all of them remaining silent as they just watched Moka's clone yelling and trying to break free from her confinement yet again. Kurumu's clone kept her eyes on Moka's while the man she was straddling started to black out as his heart stopped. Before he could drift into an endless sleep however the clone crushed down on his jaw, smashing his skull into a bloody smear on the floor with her hand. Slowly standing up the clone flicked off some blood from its hand before looking towards where Xia-Long left.
"Still hungry," she spoke in a cold voice.
Complica was staring with wide eyes of shock at the sight before her. The gentle purring of a chainsaw was all that was heard in the alleyway while blood and tattered limbs of two humans were seen strewn all over the ground and nearby walls. Standing in the pool of blood that she had created was a young looking girl, appearing a little shorter than Complica's own sisters and about the same age as them. She was wearing light blue sandals, a light blue white dotted sailor foku dress, short pink hair with two small white protruding horns on either side of her head, red ribbons tied onto each of her horns, and green eyes that were gazing around at the bloodshed she had caused. A faint blush was seen on her cheeks while she giggled to herself, with one hand playfully twirling its fingers around in her hair while the other held her chainsaw with no apparent effort despite her small stature.
"Well, they certainly screamed a lot for me. I just love it when they do," she said in a cutesy voice before sighing with delight. Her eyes then turned to Complica, the young chronofly staring at the newcomer with fright while keeping pressed back against the wall.
"Are you alright, little one?" the girl asked kindly.
"Wha… who… are… you…" Complica breathed out. The other girl's eyes narrowed a bit while her gentle smile remained on her face.
"Don't be afraid, I was only trying to help a sweet little girl such as yourself. I saw those big bad men chasing you here, and I thought to myself 'Those meanies need to be taught a lesson for picking on a little girl. A very painful lesson'. So I enacted on just that," she said with a small shrug.
"You… killed them," Complica squeaked out.
"It was no trouble, I assure you. I actually enjoyed it very much. Hee hee, that's what they get for trying to touch a young cutie like you in such a naughty way," the girl said with an adorable smile on her face. Complica glanced around at seeing the dismembered humans and large amounts of blood painting the ground and walls then looked at the stranger with fearful eyes.
"Are you going to kill me now?" she asked nervously.
"No, I wasn't planning on doing that. Why? Did you want to die now?" the other girl asked curiously. Complica quickly shook her head to that. The newcomer giggled then walked closer to Complica, the chronofly eyeing the purring chainsaw with a nervous whine.
"Good, I don't want to kill you either," the girl said kindly. Complica watched with wonder as the new girl slowly kneeled down in front of her and set her chainsaw on the ground over to the side.
"Now, are you alright?" the girl asked.
"Ye… yes. I am. Um… thank you… for saving me," Complica said softly.
"Oh, you're just so cute. I could cut you up into little tiny pieces and smoother each one with so much love," the girl said while cocking her head to the side, having a caring smile on her face while Complica turned pale from that statement.
"Please don't cut me up. Please," she whimpered.
"Oh, don't worry, I said I don't want to kill you, remember? I don't hurt little kids, that would be simply too cruel for any heart to stand," the girl said with a pouting smile. Complica looked at her worriedly then glanced to her horns.
"You're a monster, aren't you?" she asked.
"You noticed, huh? Yeah, guilty. Does that concern you? Oh dear, do you hate me now because of that?" the girl asked with a frown.
"No, I don't hate you because you're a monster. It's ok that you are. I'm one too," Complica said with a small smile.
"You are? Oh my, how wonderful. A sister from the monster realm, this is truly a wonderful encounter," the girl replied with a joyous hop. Complica showed a weak smile as she glanced to where the two humans were slaughtered then back to the new girl with a single nod.
"Um, sure. Anyway, since you're a monster too, can you help me? I'm trying to find someone, but I don't know where to look here in this world," she said softly.
"Oh? Are you lost, little girl?" the newcomer asked.
"Yes, I am. I'm not… from here. But I have to find someone here, it's very important. She's a monster too, she's supposed to be here in this world. Can you help me find her? Please?" Complica begged.
"I simply can't say no to that adorable face. I'll see what I can do. Truth be told I'm just visiting here myself, needed to go for a little walk and all that. But I don't mind helping out a cutie like you. So who are you looking for here? Who is this mystery person?" the new girl asked with a curious smile.
"I'm looking for a vampire. She has long pink hair, pointy vampire fangs in her mouth, and her name is Moka… um, Moka… Moka Ak-… something… hmm," Complica said before looking down with puzzlement as she tried to remember the last name of the vampire.
"Moka Akashiya?" the new girl questioned carefully.
"Yes, that sounds like it. Do you know her? I need to find her, do you know where she is?" Complica asked quickly. The new girl just stared at her for a while with a solemn expression before an amused grin came across her face.
"What is it you're trying to find her for? Are you two friends or something?" she asked while putting one finger to her chin.
"I think we are, it's complicated. But this is a matter of life and death, like times infinity. Please, I have to find her as soon as I can, I don't have much time. Do you know where she is?" Complica pleaded.
"I see. Very interesting. Well, I simply cannot turn a blind eye to such a cute little child such as you. I know that particular vampire is somewhere around here, somewhere indeed. I'll tell you what, I shall help you find this Moka Akashiya, you have my word," the new girl said before holding Complica close. The chronofly smiled a little as she was held against the newcomer's tiny bosom.
"Thank you, I really appreciate it," she said softly.
"Of course, I would love to help you. I think we should become friends, that seems like the proper next step for us. Tell me, what is your name, little one? I should probably know if we're going on a little adventure together after all," the newcomer asked, leaning back and smiling curiously at the chronofly.
"I would like that. My name is Complica. Complica Cii," the young princess replied with a smile.
"Complicacy? That's just so cute and twisted at the same time, I love it!" the newcomer cheered before hugging Complica tightly with an excited squeal. The chronofly smiled weakly to that then hugged the girl back.
"Thank you… I think. But it's actually Complica Cii. Um, what's your name?" she asked. The new girl let her go and grabbed her chainsaw, standing up and striking an adorable pose while revving the heavy machinery.
"My name is Routier, a real pleasure to make your acquaintance."
