Chapter 15
Blood Magic Day and the resurrection
A.N.. Thanks to Grace5231973 for her suggestion. This is the end of this story now, farewell and pleasant dreams, dearies...
Months passed and Morgana could do nothing to bring Bae back. She had to wait for the right moment. That came many months after Her mother Elsa along with her aunt Anna and the rest of Arrendale returned to the enchanted forest. The snow queen too, left soon afterwards. In doing so, Ravenna was returned to her parents and was herself torn from her true love when Robin and Marian had to leave with Roland for Marian's health. Belle banished Rumple from Storybrooke and Morgana had not shed a tear, for rumple had lied to her also- about his deal with the three most evil witches and villains she could imagine. Emma had then saved Robin and Roland from living a lie, returning them to Storybrooke and to their happy ending with Regina.
Those three villains had been welcomed into Storybrooke, Rumple had returned and Morgana was frustrated. Her plan was going to pot if she was intending on raising her nephew from the grave it would have to be soon. One day, whilst spending time with Henry and Ravenna, Morgana took the opportunity to pass the cemetery and wander through. She found Rumple by Neal's grave, Henry and Ravenna were a little way off near the park.
"What would you say to him, if you had a chance?" She asked and caused Rumple to jump.
"Morgana. You frightened me."
"What would you say to him if you had the chance?" Morgana repeated.
"I'd tell him I was sorry. That I loved him and that I missed him. Why?" Rumple said quietly.
"Just wondering... Keep an aged eye to the horizon. Dearie." Morgana said in a whisper.
"What?!" He asked but by the time he turned Morgana was back with Henry and her daughter walking towards Granny's.
Days passed and soon every member of the town were gathered in the town square to see what Morgana's 'gift' to them was. A coffin sat in a table behind her, on the makeshift stage which had been constructed by the dwarves. Blair stood by her side.
"I called you all together to welcome back into your arms someone who is dearly missed by his father and his son... By the oldest magic in the world." Morgana explained and took off the vial that hung around her neck containing Neal's soul. "By blood magic."
There was a gasp as Blair opened the coffin's lid. And Morgana turned to it and emptied the vial so the silvery liquid was poured over the figure who lay inside.
"I give my life so that he may live. The descendant of my blood." Morgana said before she was reduced to her knees by the sheer power she was letting go of. A second or two passed before Neal sat up in his coffin with a gasp.
"Neal!" Emma screamed and hugged Henry to her. Rumple wanted to cry- stood at the back of the crowd away from Belle and Will Scarlett.
"Hello, nephew." Morgana said through gritted teeth- she was in pain.
"Auntie Morga!" Neal cried and leapt from his coffin to catch her as she fell. Morgana looked to Blair and nodded.
Blair stood up and cut his own wrist with a sharp knife which had been hidden beneath his cloak. "I give my life so ye may live, mistress." With that he collapsed and Morgana gasped as if someone has pulled an arrow from her back. She crawled to Blair's side and placed her hand in his.
"Goodbye my loyal friend." She said tearfully.
"Goodbye, mistress. Be happy." He said with a final caw before his life was gone from him. Neal helped Morgana to her feet and down the steps to the pavement.
"Dad?" Henry queried.
"Hay, kid." Neal said and Henry ran at his father and hugged him. Emma shit a glare to Morgana.
"I never want this to come between you, Neal and Hook. This was my gift to Henry and Rumple. For no child should grow up without his father," Morgana began. "Who you choose Emma, is your decision."
Neal released Henry and was surprised when Emma threw herself at Neal and hugged him tightly. "Hay, Emma." He said quietly.
" I missed you." Emma replied releasing him and stepping backwards. "But I choose Hook." Neal nodded in understanding and ruffled Henry's hair, then he turned to Morgana.
"Thank you, auntie. How can I ever repay you?"
"Don't let Henry grow up like I did. And end your feud with your father. That will be payment enough. As it is my magic..." Morgana shook her head.
"Comes with a price." Rumple said from behind her and Morgana turned slightly to him.
"Yes.. It does." Morgana answered and only then Neal and the others realise Morgana wasn't quite herself. She looked older, more fragile and frail.
"Thank you, Mo. For giving me back my son." Rumple said as his sister hugged him tenderly.
"Do one thing for me... Make it up with Belle and find your happy ending, Rumple. Even if I cannot have mine." Morgana lost her footing and Rumple and Robin, who was stood nearby, lowered her to the ground.
"My lady?" Robin asked and Morgana smiled.
"Take care of Ravenna for me, outlaw."
"I will." Robin vowed and then Morgana looked at Rumple.
"I'd rather it was you, brother. Do it. I am not afraid." Morgana smiled and clutched Neal's hand as he knelt beside her. "You be a good boy, Bae and you take care of him for me."
"I will." Neal said tearfully as Rumple put his hand in Morgana's chest and pulled out a shiny red heart. Morgana sighed and looked up at her family once more before rumple crushed her heart in his hand.
"I love you... Be happy." Were Morgana's final words as the sun set on that day, a day none would forget in a hurry and one that the Author would name- "blood magic day". The day the oldest magic has ever been used for good.
