I do not own Inuyasha!

Things are moving along, there will be a few more time skips and then the kids will reach maturity. Things will come full circle afterwards.

"Take a bow children," Shippo said with pride among the host of applause.

The show was an unbelievable success, the applause continued and the children felt proud. They knew how important this was, making a great first impression on the road in fulfilling their objectives for co-existence and survival.

Even as children they were forced to endure intolerance for the first time when they came to this town. However, Kagome had lessened the blow by explaining to them that people often times fear what they don't understand, and they should focus on changing that state of being instead of the way things were at present.

Both parents stood aside and watched the fox demon's production and marveled at his ingenuity. It was a show of magic and wonder, highlighting not only tricks that he'd taught them but their own power. The most spectacular feat was when the boys formed glowing whips and had used them to form complex patterns as they flicked and swished them around.

The howls and whistles for more raged on, but it was over for good this time; the crowd had requested and had gotten two encores. The first one given was done to appease the lord, and the second for the crowd.

It was late evening and the sun had set, the children took the obeisance and walked off the makeshift stage while Yuki entered and stood looking adorable. The audience stared at her and wondered what such a young and beautiful child would do, they didn't ponder on it for long.

Because the little girl began to sing in the most glorious voice, stunning the crowd into silence and yet they were captivated by the image that she presented.

It was a song of peace and dreams of the future, a future beyond their imaginings, a world where people understood each other; it was a song of hope.

When she was done her slanted eyes sparkled, then the applause came.

"Shush," she whispered and placed tiny fingers on her lips silencing the crowd.

Kagome shook her head, not completely sure if the crowd would be ready for what their daughter would do next. Sesshomaru remained silent but gazed on his child ardently then inclined his head slightly. Yuki smiled.

Then like a hurried current of air the wind picked up around them, it caressed their skins warmly, everyone gasped as the child's hair blew all around her, and soon she was consumed by a pink mist. When the smoke cleared the child was no more and in her place was a furry black puppy.

The town's people including the human lord did not know what to make of the child's transformation and kept completely silent although awestruck. Sesshomaru moved to the front of the stage and picked up the puppy and it barked aloud and nipped at his hands playfully. The crowd laughed tentatively at first, and then soon the laughter erupted into pleasantness.

The Daiyoukai remained as he was and waited until the cheers subsided. In time Yuki undid the transformation and clung to his neck. Kagome, Shippo and the children wondered what he would do as he gazed strongly at the crowd, and it seemed as if he was in contempt as he looked on.

Then he did something that was as shocking as it was needed. He spoke.

"I Sesshomaru of the western domain and my family thank you for coming."

He left the stage then with Yuki in tow. Kagome knew how hard that was for him, and she was grateful and sad at the same time that he reached out a hand in friendliness to the town. She had no idea he would do so. And she also knew that he did it to please her and to fulfil his promise to try.

It had been four days since the birth of his children and the death of his mate. Lady Harumi came to bury Seira and to meet her grandchildren. However, the ryu refused to let her see them. She was once again the lady of the west upon Seira's death, that state of affair brought her no joy.

Ryoma had more than suggested that she took her place by his side and in his bed or she would no longer be welcomed.

She scoffed at the assumption. "You cannot rid of me that easily…And I will not be bullied, if I should decide to grace your bed it will be a time of my own choosing."

She had left then, and here he stood in his own room with his daughter in his hands looking on her with question in his eyes, while the dragonlings were causing chaos as they ran through the halls, they had not taken on a humanoid appearance as of yet.

When that occurrence happened they would be half grown. He had named them although not quite sure who had emerged first. The one with the trademark silver eyes he named Daichi, and the other with the icy blue orbs he named Eiji.

Still his mind wandered back to the baby in his arms. He had deposited two eggs into Seira's body so how did she conceive a third? He remembered clearly that he had withdrawn his manhood at the point of climaxing and his seeds had hit the floor. His lower half had changed and his egg tube had formed whereby he placed the eggs inside her. So how was this possible? He pondered

Maybe my seeds did enter her body? He considered, because how else could he explain his daughter's presence and development inside Seira's womb. With that thought he let it go. His mate was dead and he had his children. He needed the wet nurse because the baby chewed on her thumb in earnest.

His sons were fine and would thrive as long as their bellies were full; they would live up to their cold natures. His daughter was another matter, she was helpless and a baby and needed milk.

"Kimiko," he called, "Izumi needs nourishment."

Alone together in the confines of their rooms later that night Kagome snuggled closer to Sesshomaru.

"I love you so much…I know that you didn't have to say anything earlier but I am glad that you did."

He didn't respond only holding onto her more closely. Kagome felt his emotions then as clearly as her own. He would hold firm to his convictions.

"Goodnight my love." Kagome said on a yawn, he nodded and closed his eyes.
