I awoke this time in a worn down, brown, leather couch. When I opened my eyes I saw that Dean had sat down by my feet at the end of the couch, waiting for me to awake, I realized.

Now that I think about it, getting up from the bed upstairs and attempting to drive off with 3 broken ribs, a concussion, and feeling like I've been through 12 rounds in the wrestling ring, wasn't such a great idea. But instead of feeling like I'd been some demon's rag doll, I felt...fine. In fact I felt better than fine, I felt a warm sensation spread and swirl throughout my whole body.

I sat up rapidly, the blanket Dean or Sam had covered me with, sliding off of me as I sat up. Sam was standing awkwardly next to a desk, which I felt prompted to suggest that a little bit of organizing wouldn't do it much harm seeing as those books and single sheets of paper, toppled on top of each other, look like they'd fall off at any moment.

I looked at my arms and legs and saw I had no cuts or bruises. But I had some dried blood on me. I did not even see one wound. Then I touched my face,

"What happened?" I gasped.

It didn't hurt when I did so, neither was it swollen like it felt before. I could see clearly and the room didn't sway when I moved my eyes elsewhere.

"I don't feel like I've been that demon's human rag doll." I looked at Dean, hoping for answers.

"Yeah I know." He said with a soft smile playing around his lips. "I called my friend Cas and once he saw you he went all-"

"Cas?" I interupted. Why does that name sound familiar, like I've heard before and then forgotten about it?

"Castiel, Actually." Contributed Sam.

My throat was dry and I still couldn't shake off the mentioning of that so called 'Castiel'.

"Do you guys have wat-"

"Here," Said Dean as he handed me a bottle of water.

I felt a fog being lifted off of me as I drank the water. Before I saw and felt everything hazily Now everything was vibrant and clear. I got up from the couch and paced around the room.

"How?" I mumbled.
"Uh- pardon me?"

I turned to Sam.

"How was I healed and why would you all go through all this trouble just to save me?" He was taken aback by the question so I turned to Dean.

"well..."

"Well, what?"
He seemed to be indecisive, as if giving me an answer was a mental battle he was struggling to win. He looked at his feet, probably not knowing what to say to me. I didn't look like Dean was going to give me an answer any time soon.

"I need to go," I said as I went for my Mustang keys that Dean -I suppose- had set on the coffee table next to the couch.

I was heading for the door, keys in one hand , shoes in the other when out of nowhere I heard wings flapping right behind me. I stopped mid step and slowly did a 180. Just then a cool, sweet breeze blew in my face. What I saw at that moment wasn't as perplexing as what happened next. It wasn't the fact that this man with his tousled black hair and impermeable blue eyes appeared out of nowhere. Nor was the fact that he was gawking at me in the most peculiar way. It was his voice. It was the voice. The voice I heard so long ago. Remembering back that voice was like remembering an old song that you never really seemed to shake off. Not that you'd want to anyway.

I was dumbfounded. I stood there, open-mouthed in awe. The man whose voice was in every dream, every thought, every motion.

"Guardian," That's what he had said.

My face paled as I felt my keys and shoes fall to the floor as I brought my hands up to my mouth. He took a step forward just as I did too. I turned my head to the right just as he did so. Our actions seemed to mimic one another. Even our bewildered expressions seemed to be in sync.

"You." I got closer.

"It's you. It's your voice." He quickly regained composure and let go of any hint of confusion he might have had. His expression quickly turned into one of stoic indifference. He stepped towards me closing the distance between us. My heart palpitated; His breath was on my face as I seemed to stare at his blue irises.

"Hazel Rose we have been searching for you." He said in what I could classify as his best "soldier voice".

A/N: Hey guys sorry it took me so long to update. I had actually begun to write chapter 2 as soon as I had posted chapter 1 but the tablet in which I was writing the story got stolen and I was in the process of moving to another state at the time, so after I had moved I just felt sad and I didn't want to write anymore. My apologies. BUT I AM HERE NOW!
