AUTHOR'S NOTE:

Hi everyone, so I got a lot of feedback about my previous ending to this story, so I rewrote it. I hope that you all enjoy this one. Please R/R. Thanks!

JOHN'S POV:

The guard walks in and I know that's it's time to go. I stand up and he opens my cell door. We start walk but another guard rushed toward us.
"Stop! Someone come forward with new evidence and the judge agreed to review your case." I'm shocked. I can't think of who it could be. Then it hits me: Rich. He knew my locker combination. He must have given it to Bryce. I don't think that Rich could pull something like this off. Bryce probably threatened him into helping him get my combination.
We walk into the courtroom and it's completely different than it was a couple hours ago. No one is here except for the judge, two guards, my lawyer, Rich, and me. Oh and Agent Larkin who looks like he's going to explode.
"It appears John, that we have a witness that brought up something that sheds a different light on this case." My lawyer says. The judge nods to Rich and he stands up.
"Your honor," he says facing the judge, "Bryce Larkin told me to get John's locker combination. He threatened me and said that He was going to do something to John." Rich looks down, studying his shoes. "I didn't tell anyone because, well, I guess it's because I was scared. But when John was going to prison, I couldn't just let him go to prison for something he didn't do."
"That's outrageous!" Larkin shouts standing up. "For some reason these boys are attacking my son. There is no solid evidence proving that any of this is true!"
"Agent Larkin!" The judge bellows, "sit down!" Larkin sits and the judge sits back in his chair. "Now then," he says, "I've thought about this. True they could be lying, but we have a number of students that have said that Bryce never liked John and Bryce's fingerprints and on John's locker. We also have an anonymous witness who said that Bryce and a few other students have beat John to a point of unconsciousness, but that is for another day and another trial. Your son is on his way and when he gets here he will be sentenced."

FOUR MONTHS LATER:
Bryce was sentenced to six years in prison for several charges. Stanley and Leia admitted to kissing but they realized that they couldn't have a romantic relationship. They were always fighting getting mad at each other. I waited to start dating Leia until graduation. After everything that happened in the past weeks, I need to just focus on me. I hang out with One at least twice a week and we've grown really close. Adam realized that he'd rather be with her than have his father's approval, on the condition that she stops stealing things. She reluctantly agreed, but I'm glad that she changed her life style. She and Adam are going to backpack across the country in the summer. They invited me but I have other plans this summer. I was accepted into the Loric Armed forces and Exploration training scholarship. So did Leia, Stanley, Cole, and Marina. Life's turned out pretty good for me.

ONE YEAR LATER:

"I can't believe that we are on earth!" Leia says excitedly looking out of the window. I smile down at her, the trouble of the previous year far behind us.

"Let's do this thing!" Stanley shouts jumping up and down grabbing my shoulders. I laugh and the door to the ship opens. Leia and I exchange a look and step out together hand in head with Stanley on my other side. Behind us Marina and Cole walk out, Cole's arm wrapped protectively around Marina's shoulders. We take our first steps on earth and breathe our first breath. A man about Brandon's age and a guy around mine walks towards us. There's a warm smile on his face and him and Brandon shake hands. Then the three of them walk up to me. The older man extends his hand and I take it.

"Hello," he says, "I'm Malcolm and this is my son Sam. Welcome to earth."

AUTHORS NOTE:

Well, here is the final chapter. I hoped everyone enjoyed it. I'm thinking about making a sequel to this story about the gang on earth, so if anyone is interested let me know. I also have alternative ending to this story so just message me and I will send that over to you. Please R/R!
