Thousand Sleepless Nights
Chapter #17-Artificial Enemy
Hinata sit down in the chair in front of the Hokage disk, awaiting for the truth that was suppose to be given to her by the Third Hokage,
"Hinata! I know you want to see Naruto back into the village, as do I. I even sent the greatest trackers that the leaf village have to offer, to the location where the young boy disappeared.
But there has been no trace of him for a few months now." spoke the Third trying his best to break the news to Hinata easy, to the best of his abilities
But soon Hinata began to realizes what the Third was trying to tell her, it was making Hinata heart tremble with just the thought of her never getting the to see the cooling blue eyes that that drench even the intense fires of her heart.
And the nice warming yellow hair, that makes anybody that was close to Naruto feel so warm deep within.
Hinata knowing the truth that the Third was trying to tell her, would be to much for her heart to take in.
So the young girl quickly closed her heart to truth and ignore the facts that was being told to her innocent ears, trying to stay pure hoping one day her beloved crush could stare into her eyes again, and speak the soft loving words that she always wished to hear.
But this was not the words that the Third was going to say quite the opposite in fact, he would refuse to speak another false lie to his citizens, especially to the one that could benefit most from the knowledge in which he have to give.
"I'm sorry, but there have been no sign or trace of Naruto in the village or other wise. I have no choice but to end the search for the boy, and return all of the anbu-black-ops back to the village.
I know it must hurt to hear such a thing, but please try to understand that I must focus on the remaining citizens that live in the village.
I can no longer focus on matters that will lead to nowhere. Do you understand?" spoke the Third as he stared at the Hyuuga girl
Hinata did not no how to handle such negative information such as this! The heart in which she closed off was burst open, revealing a soft vulnerable heart that lays within her chest,
Quickly searching for a way to cope with the knowledge in which she have.
But no matter how long and hard she try desperate to find a way to cope with the circumstances that Naruto was lost to her, forever
Brought great sorrow to her heart, and filled her mind with doubts as the girl left the Hokage's office without speaking another word to him.
She wondered how would she move on? Knowing that the leaf village would do nothing for the boy in which she cared most for in life!
How can she move on? To know that her life would be nothing but heart-break, betrayal, and suffering. And the one person that shine a ray of hope and light, no matter how small it may have been, into her gloomy existence was gone.
Now there was nothing to protect her from the darkness and pain that circle around her.
Her thoughts even became pointless, "What was the point? she thought to herself as she made her way back to her house
If there was no one out there to ease her mind, and calm her soul. Then why should she continue to belittle her intellegence with the thought of trying to believe in such nonsense that someone actually cared for her. Even her sister hate her guts now.
The thought became to be more and more clear to her, as she move even more closer to the house in which she lived.
Everything that she have done, lead to nothing but darkness and sorrow. The more she tried to stand up for herself, the more pain entered her fragile heart.
It seemed that her life mean nothing to no one, and her existence in this world was nothing more than to be a punching bag, for people to take their anger out upon.
"Yes! That is my life. My existence on this earth, and nothing more!" spoke the girl in a gloomy tone of voice, as she thought about ending her life.
This would be the way that her sad, painful story end. With a quill in one hand, a goodbye letter in the other, and a kunai stabbed within her throat, as the blood pour from her neck and splashed onto the floor, staining the wood dark red.
At least that what Hinata imagined for herself, the thought that her life would be over in the matter of minutes was a blessing for the young girl. Her soul would finally be free from the shackles and chains of her horrible life.
That is how it felt for the little girl, until she raised her head and saw one of Naruto's dear friends standing upon her doorstep in the middle of the day.
Just seeing one of Naruto's friend's standing before her, caused the thoughts of suicide that was floating in the vase waste land of her mind to fade into nothingness.
But more thoughts appeared in Hinata's mind, like why is Sakura stand upon my doorstep?
Hinata thought to herself as she approached Sakura, and she quickly saw a strong sense of joy in Sakura eyes, as she stared into hers.
"Hinata! I'm so glad to see your face. I think t=I have something you actually like to hear? I think I know where Naruto is?" spoke Sakura with so much energy in her voice,
Hinata could tell right away that she really did have something to share, almost like she stumbled upon something that no one else could see before!
But does the information that Sakura have to offer benefit Hinata or just herself?
Though's was the questions that was swimming through Hinata mind, wondering if she should open her heart to the world and actually believe Sakura.
It was a tough spot that Hinata was in, she was just minutes away from killing herself, and now she was being told that they might have Naruto's location.
Like her usual self, Hinata decided to trust Sakura. And thanks to her calming nature she allowed herself to believed that Naruto's was alive and that she could actually find him.
After Sakura told Hinata all that she came there to tell her, Hinata could not help but say
"If you know where Naruto is at, then why don't you just go ahead and bring him back yourself!?" spoke the Hyuuga girl in a skeptical tone of voice, as she closely watch the face of the person that was giving her hope.
Watching as she speak, making sure that the words that come out of her throat was true or false. But was unable to see through the little the veil that was being put over her eyes, and she just gave in and followed Sakura out of the village.
Hoping deep in her heart that Sakura would lead her to her crush, but as the fragile girl stared at the one in which she followed behind.
She found that all of Sakura words that she told her was false. Her actions was as shallow as she was! The shocking reason behind every place that Sakura took Hinata to wasn't because Naruto was there...no!
It was that those places had something, an item of some-kind of food that Sakura wanted to get her hands on.
Hinata asked her so called friend, "Why! Why! Why didn't you just get them at the leaf village? Or better yet request it to be shipped to the village?" spoke Hinata in a angry yet disappointed tone of voice.
All that Sakura could say to Hinata, to assure her that what she was doing there at that particular time and place was important was this,
"I did not wished to wait seven days for these items to reach the village. I wanted to have such items in my possession right away.
The only way I could leave the village without my team was with another person by my side. My friends did not wish to come with me, so I thought..."
"You would use me to get what you want!" spoke Hinata interrupting Sakura
Hinata was furious and enraged, at Sakura for using her and herself for allow herself to be used.
But no more Hinata had enough of being used by others, she stared into Sakura eyes to where she saw her deepest part of her soul, as she spoke these words to her
"Why? You knew how I felt about Naruto and you still did it! You used his name and me just so you could satisfy your own selfish motives.
How can you even live with yourself?" spoke Hinata truly feeling hurt from the actions that Sakura did to her.
Sakura knew what she did was wrong, but there was nothing else to say to convince Hinata otherwise so she just stood there in silence,
No words nor oxygen escape from pink haired girl lips, as she stadily waiting for the respon that Hinata would give her.
The response that Hinata gave Sakura was not what she expected at all.
She stood there, as she watched the damage soul that she hurt walked away without speaking a word to her. And the expression that the Hyuuga girl have her, was almost like she just gave up!
On what exactly Sakura had no answer!
The second Hinata made it back to the confines of her room, behind the barrier that shield the village in which she was in from their enemies eyes!
She layed down in her bed with her face buried deep within her pillow, crying her eyes out.
"Why won't anybody treat me with some respect?" spoke Hinata feeling an extreme emotion of sorrow weighing heavily upon her soul as she lied there in her bed.
As Night fell upon the village and the moon reach it highest peek within the sky, it light shine down making the darkness that lays within Hinata's room vanish, revealing sparkles in the air as the moon's light shine through the glass window even more.
Once the light completely obliterated the darkness, a voice appeared through the veil that was which the light and try to reach out to the girl.
"I was wondering the exact same thing!" spoke the voice speaking to the Hyuuga girl as she lay in her bed feeling sorry for herself
"Why did you let her lead you on like that!? You knew what she was capable of, did you not! You knew Naruto was out of your reach forever, but yet you cry over not being able to see his face.
Stand up for yourself? And if not you than for the knowledge in which you can hold!?" spoke the voice only trying to help Hinata, to open her eyes to the truth, to see the sorrow that the world hold.
The girl did not understand exactly what purpose the voice was trying to get across.
Instead of wisdom, the voice brought confusion and almost brought the girl's mind to shambles.
"Do not be afraid, you my look!" spoke the voice as Hinata pulled her face from the pillow and stared across the room,
Where she saw a girl with short dark blue hair standing directly in front of her bed staring back at her.
The girl's appearance was completely identical to Hinata, if she didn't know any better she would say that she was staring at her reflection in a merrier. But the outfit in which the girl was wearing resembles an ancient Mayan goddess.
As Hinata stared at the girl standing in front of her, with an frighten expression on her face, the thoughts began to appear from out of nowhere like,
"Who is she? Why does she look like me? And how did she get into my room?" though was some of the many thought that was flying through Hinata mind like a rapped jet, preparing to take off!
Hinata slowly build up enough courage to speak to the unknown person standing before her, she asked her a very simple question so the girl did not get confused.
"Who are you!?" spoke Hinata in a very shy and quite tone of voice
The girl smiled like she was enjoying something, maybe she just basking in the ignorance vibe that Hinata was giving out. She found it quite humerus.
Not to long after Hinata spoke to the unknown female, she replied to her in a enlighten tone of voice,
"A wise question spoken by a wise female. The question you spoke of, do not have a simple answer. But I will try my best to answer.
I'm a thought that have been brought to life by a voice. A side that you have created deep within, to combat the darkness and sorrow that is in your life, in our lives!
That block us from moving through are lives, from progressing along our path in this world. Does that answer your question!?" spoke the unknown girl
"I guess so! But if you are a thought like you said, then how and why are you standing before now!?" spoke Hinata slowly getting even more confused
Seeing the expression on the young Hyuuga girl face, she was still confused. Baffled by the information in which she was being given, so the unknown female tried even harder to clear the doubt that was clouding Hinata's mind,
"I'm here to open your eyes to the truth that surround your world, to break the barriers that unable you to see the people that try their hardest to block you from the happiness that you deserve!" spoke the female, speaking the words of truth.
But there was no used! No matter how much truth and honesty within her words, they was unable to reach Hinata's ears.
It seemed to the unknown female that the only way to open the ignorant girls eyes, was with action and old hard facts.
"I see that you have some wisdom in that mind of yours, and you went through a lot of pain despite your short moment in life.
But I wonder, how much pain can be given to you before you take to crack under the pressure." spoke the girl as she stared into Hinata's eyes,
She saw a ray of hope within the young girls eyes, seeing that light of hope made her wonder!
Can she even handle the pain, the suffering, the down right gore and blood that will be introduce to her in the up coming weeks.
To see how much the poor girl could take with her own, this female wearing Mayan clothing began to move closer and closer to Hinata, without saying a single word.
And with each step this girl made, Hinata slowly stepped back unaware of the purpose in which the unknown female was trying to do!
"What are you doing?" spoke Hinata frighten as she back against her bed, staring at the girl as she slowly inch by inch towards her.
Once the girl was directly in front of Hinata, she gently brush the hair that was on the Hyuuga girls face back, with her hand.
Hinata did not know what she was trying to do to her, all she knew was that she wanted it to stop now!
Wanted her to leave the room and never come back, but she was to frighten and scared to say or do anything to combat the girl.
Because of this action she did not take, the girl that was making her uncontrollable flood her mind with visions,
Visions of a bleak and dark future filled with nothing but sorrow and despair.
"What!" Hinata spoke once she final felt the girl presence disappear.
But once she opened her eyes, the joy and happiness that came from the girl disappearance faded, as quickly as an ice-cream would melt on a hot summer's day.
She saw that she was standing inside a brick room, staring down a long dark hallway.
By the time Hinata knew what was being done to her, it was already to late. She was trapped within in own mind, forced to endure whatever kinds of horrible tragedies that lies ahead.
She could only imagine what was on the other side of the pinch black darkness that on being cast on the hallway,
"I can do this!" Hinata thought to herself as she slowly put one foot in front of the other, trying to make her way down the hallway without giving herself a panic-attack.
Once Hinata passed the thresh-hole of darkness, she stared with frighten eyes as she saw herself locked up in a steel cage, bleeding and in pain. Pure agony that Hinata was in. Left to fester in a prisoner-cell like a rat!
Bind to the ground unable to move around, the only thing that she could do was wait and hope that she would die soon. Sooner if destiny allow her to escape her life, a living nightmare for both girls.
"This is a nightmare, a living hell!" thought Hyuuga girl completely horrified as she gazed upon the horrible, truly gruesome actions that lies before her soul.
For some unknown reason, Hinata mind tried to cling onto a good memory that happened in her past to combat the horror that was going on around her. But no good hope filled memory even from a angel itself could clean this flith.
Don't get me wrong! Hinata wanted to help herself, to free herself from the cage that she was lock up in, but for some reason her body was frozen in place. She could not move even closed her eyes.
Was it the fear that lies deep within her heart, that caused her body to stand still like this? Or was it because destiny standing in her way of being the person that she always wanted to be?
Maybe Hinata knew that honor, pure honor such as this could not be changed. At least not by her hand, no!
She could know watch as she constantly does every-day in the life she calls normal, watch as the bad things happen, and don't say or do anything to stop the tragedies.
The only thing different in this picture was the fact that Hinata could not move her body, but to honest. Truly honest, would she have done anything if she was able to move her body!
How hallow it must feel, staring at yourself with no hope in your heart or eyes.
To know this feeling is to know the feeling that both of the Hyuuga girls feel right now at this moment.
Minutes passed in the hour-glass of time, and instead of freedom for the darkness in which the girls was forced to wait, two guards covered in armor appeared from the shadows and stand in front of the entrance to the poor Hyuuga girl.
"Look at her? Like a rat!" spoke one of the guards feeling joy in others people suffering.
While the other only find joy when his partner shut his trap!
"Here!" spoke the other guard as he tossed the prisoner food through the bars and onto the floor.
The echo from the pan hitting the ground, covered the room reaching even the prisoner's ears.
The noise awoken not only the girls eyes to the things around her, but the girls hunger as well!
The hunger took control of her mind, launching her to the floor where she sloppily eat her food like a dirty pig!
The way the guards treated her, talk to her like she was some kind of animal refusing the fact that she was a person just like them once.
If that wasn't bad enough, Hinata the one that stands beyond the gates watched in silience as she saw herself be tourched again and again, over a time-span of days
Be treated like a punching bag, until she admit that she was a dirty pig.
That was the only way she could stopped the guards from beating her, the only way she could rest, with whatever little dignity she had left.
Seeing the way she grovel to the two guards, made Hinata feel not angry nor sadness.
No! It was more of a feeling and since for justice.
When the since to seek out justice where ever it is appeared in the heart of the young Hyuuga girl, the horrible visions that she was forced to endure in silence shattered and faded into nothingness,
Freeing Hinata from the pits of torment and returning her to the gloomy darkness that lies in the village of selfish people that only care about themselves.
Once the girl saw that Hinata's soul return to her body, and she was back to the confess of her room, the unknown female spoke to Hinata right after her return to the real world,
"Do you see now Hinata? The suffering that we both will feel if you do not change your ways, and stand up for yourself!" the unknown girl
"What can I do to stop the horrible future in which I saw from coming reality?" spoke Hinata begging for the girl to give her guidence
"I will do anything!" spoke Hinata seeking justice, and willing to do anything to get it!
"I know, I can tell! But let me start what you shall finish. Now get some rest? You look exhausted from the visions.
When you awake upon the new day, we will both start on our path to change the future. For everyone!" spoke Dark Hinata as she told the Hinata to rest.
Hinata could see light within her eyes, enough light to believe her words of a new future for them both. A brighter future.
So she lied in her bed under the covers and closed her eyes, eagerly awaiting for the sun to rise upon her the village, so she could change the future in which she saw a piece of!
Once Hinata drifted into sleep and she could no longer see into this reality, Dark Hinata stepped out of her room and onto the street's of the leaf village, to start exactly what Hinata want the most from this world.
She followed the signs and sent of her prey on the street, like a hungry wolf in the wild to find her next meal.
She moved through the shadow and walk upon the streets without being detected like a mere ghost, steadily following after one person in which she have her mind focus on.
It took some-time, but with her skill of tracking she manage to hunt down her prey and corner her like a mouse with a cat, all in the same night.
And with once single gazed of her prey, her reflexes took over and she launched into action.
Jumping, running across roof-tops dropping down and moving through ally-ways, like a nimble warrior.
Just so she could complete the process and confront her fowl in the center of the village, hours before the sun rays shine upon there side of the world.
Seeing the silhouette stand before her with her back to the moon frighten Sakura, making her drop the fruits that was in her gripped, onto the ground wet ground.
That action might as well ruined the fruits value for sure, but that the least of Sakura troubles.
Once she realizes the silhouette that stands before her belong to Hinata, Sakura smiled with joy. Knowing her safety in life was assured.
So Sakura spoke to Hinata as she bend down and began to pick up her fruit for the week, "Oh! It's you Hinata, you scared me!
Well can you help me pick up my fruits? My parents really need them!" spoke Sakura as she steadily pick of the fruits from the ground.
Hinata slowly walk toward Sakura without saying a word, keeping her face covered as she ruthlessly pressed Sakura's body up against a brick wall.
It was a thrilling feeling that send chills down the dark one's spine, as she wrapped her hands around the soft worm like neck that was Sakura throat, and even more joy appeared once she began to squeeze,
Watching as the life drain from her body, as her blood covered drenched Hinata's hands.
"Please...stop!" spoke Sakura begging for her life, as she stared into the eyes of the one how was ending it.
Not knowing the reasons behind the young Hyuuga girl action! Why would her every existance be threaten by one in which she would called friend?
"Save your breath, I do not wished nor desire the thought of you begging for your life. I be honest hearing such a thing would only increase the desire that I have to kill you!
But there is one way, one sure way for me to spare your life. If you spill the secret of why you did those act earlier this day!" spoke Dark Hinata giving the poor girl a change to save her own life.
With one quick knod of the head, she relies Sakura from her gripped and watched as she gasp for air on the ground
Once she was capable enough to speak again, she stared gracefully at Hinata, thankful that she honored her word and spare her life, like she agreed she spoke the reason that caused the actions in which she made.
To some surprise Sakura spoke of her cousin Neji, saying that he told her to lead Hinata outside the village walls. Sakura did not say why or to what purpose does this motive give to the Neji, or why he would ask such a thing.
But she did fore-fill her promise to Dark Hinata, no matter if her answers did drag up more questions from the dirt.
Now Hinata must congratulate the pink haired girl, for shining some light upon the situation.
Dark Hinata thrusting a gagged knife blade through Sakura's side, placing the girl under a extreme amounts of pain.
The pain in which the blade caused was shocking every nerve in her body, making the blood that flows through her body stand still, causing even more agony to thre girl existence.
"You...promised!" spoke Sakura in tremendous pain, barely keeping her eyes open.
As she saw Sakura in pain suffering upon the ground, the girl got closer and whisper this into Sakura's ear,
"I spared your life, now it's up to you to fight for it!" those of the light words that Dark Hinata spoke to the girl, right before she pull the blade out of Sakura's body like a stuff animal.
Ripping the organs in which it went by, causing internal bleed on the highest scale.
Once the blade was finally out of Sakura's body, Dark Hinata left the poor girl to bask in the pain in which she caused others.
Making her body feel the sting from the never ending shocks, as the blood stain her cloths.
"I've, got to g..et to th..e hi...spi...tal!" spoke the girl trying to fight off the pain in which she feels, as she slowly stood up from the ground.
But her mind was to feeble to ignore such an evolve form of pain, no! AGONY!
She could barely breath from her nose the pain was so bad.
As she move through the streets of the leaf village leaving a trail of her own blood, praying to see the hospital, but her life was slipping away, and she knee it!
It was clear to Sakura that she could not make it to the hospital, once her vision became blurry and she started to hear music, alumnus music that was not playing.
Her body became weaker, and she started to stumble and hit the ground with her knees, causing them to bleed as well.
Every time she pull her soul up off the ground, and find the strength to drag her body forward, the pain grew, as the music drown out her painful screams.
The more she hold onto her life, the harder it was to see or feel it.
Soon the agony finally overwhelmed her weakening spirit, and her legs shattered from the weight of her body, causing her to collapse on the ground. vulnerable to the after-life reach.
