Since I posted chapter sixteen yesterday, I've been battling a little with myself.
Unfortunately, I'm pulling the story.
To all of you out there who have given up on the story, so have I. I haven't been able to pull to the story in the direction I intended and it's pissing me off.
To those of you who likes the story, don't worry: I will continue working on it until it's finished and if you all want to read it, contact me and I will send it to you.
My intentions was to make Bella a self-conscious yet strong woman: self-conscious when it came to herself, strong when it came to her family, Charlie that is.
I wanted Edward to be a prick in the beginning, then to soften up as he learned more about Bella, got to know her as a person. )Just to make this clear, she was never a prostitute because she didn't sell sex.) With time, they were supposed to get slightly friendlier with each other and both of them were supposed to struggle with their feelings for the other person.
Then the drama would start, with Bella being pregnant and running away. When Edward found out, I wanted him to be so angry, blinded by the betrayal he felt, that he went to court to get soul custody of the baby as soon it was born.
The trial was going to be lengthy, as in four, maybe five, chapters, where Bella was questioned thoroughly about her little "business" in college. There, she would tell the truth, that she was trying to gather enough money for Charlie to get the treatment he needed (sorry, I planned to kill Charlie all along). The trial would take its toll on Bella as she was pregnant and every time Edward saw her in court, he was supposed to notice how tired she looked.
In the middle of it all, the trial, Bella went to London because Rose had been in an accident and was now in a coma, but she would be forced back to finish it all.
Then, while Emmett questioned Edward for the hundredth time, Bella would start feeling pains and her water would break. However, this wasn't going to stop the trial and as soon Bella was released from the hospital, it all continued with a nurse taking care of Charlotte while Bella was questioned.
Bella was supposed to give up, showing up at Edward's door one night saying: "I give up. Without a job, I can't give her everything that she needs, everything that she deserves. You can have full custody, I will not fight you anymore, but please, don't shut me out of her life. I don't want to be the mom who gave up on her daughter and then walked away for never to be seen again. I want to be a part of her life, as much as you will allow me to of course, but I can't stand not being able to see her now and then, know that she's ok." Then, after placing the little girl in Edward's arms, she would walk away from them and break down the second the doors to the elevator closed.
Edward, angry, yet touched by Bella's speech, let her come and watch Charlotte whenever she wanted, as long as he was home.
Tanya would then enter the story again after only being mentioned a few times as Bella's doctor. Bella was going to learn that Edward was dating her former doctor after bringing her home after a date, a night where Bella was babysitting her own daughter.
Confused by the feelings that raved inside of her, Bella started to write her own story down, to ease her mind along with her heart as she confessed her love for Edward in the end of what would become a best selling book.
Tanya, now officially Edward's girlfriend, would by the book, unknown to her that Bella was the author (written under another name of course) and Tanya, so lost in the story of a woman set on saving her dad and falling in love with her boss, told Edward about the amazing book she was reading.
Edward, recognizing the story as Bella and his, would then storm over the hall to the apartment Bella was renting across from his, burst through the door and come face to face with Bella and a vailing Charlotte. As he demanded to know if her confession in the end of the book was true, water would gather in her eyes and Bella would press Charlotte closer to her chest, as a shield. For Edward, the tears would be a true enough confession for him and he would walk over to her, brush away her tears and press a soft kiss to her lips.
With three simple yet strong words, the story would come to an end.
