Before we begin, I really want to say thank you guys :) This story now has over 100 reviews, and that is mindblowing to me because for months I didn't think this story was going anywhere. Chapters weren't getting reviewed and viewership was low, and then it slowly and steadily rose until it became what it is today. So again, I sincerely say thank you! YOU GUYS ROCK! :D
Trapped inside of the whale's mouth, Krissa (with Rufus on top of her) was laying on the tongue resting. Even though it made her feel gross laying on top of a tongue, she had worn herself out trying to break themselves out of the whale. She had earlier tried to escape by trying to slash through the whale's hair-like teeth with her keyblade, but it was no use. The teeth were just too strong. They were trapped.
Marlin, however, refused to give up. He kept backing up and ramming into the teeth with all his strength, screaming with determination. Dory, on the other hand, seemed oblivious to the trouble that they were in. She kept riding the small currents that the whale made as it breathed, and Dory rode them laughing and having a good time.
"Marlin, you should give it a rest," Krissa said, "You could hurt yourself!" Marlin ignored Krissa and kept going.
"Here comes the big one!" Dory exclaimed, riding another current.
"Would you just stop it?!" Marlin screamed.
"Why? What's wrong?"
"We're in a whale! Don't you get it?!"
"A whale?"
"A whale! Cause you had to ask for help! And now we're stuck here!"
"The scenery here is much to be desired, though," Krissa added, trying to lighten the mood.
"Taco..." Rufus added. The rat turned slug missed his normal food.
"Wow, a whale," Dory said, "You know I can speak whale!"
"No, you're insane!" Marlin yelled. "You can't speak whale! I have to get out! I have to find my son! I have to tell him how old sea turtles are!" Marlin rammed into the teeth a few more times before falling to the tongue in defeat. Krissa, worried about the clown fish, swam to his side to comfort him. She knew that there was little she could do, but she could relate to how he was feeling. She hadn't seen her family and friends in what seemed like weeks. Dory also noticed something was wrong, though she could not remember what.
"There there," she said as she swam towards her friend, "It's all right, it'll be okay."
"No no, it won't." Marlin said sadly.
"Sure it will. You'll see!"
"No, it won't. I promised I'd never let anything happen to him."
"Well that's a funny thing to promise." Marlin and Krissa looked at Dory curiously. "Well, you can't never let anything happen to him, then nothing would ever happen to him. Not much fun for little Harpo."
"Not much fun for you either," Krissa added. Suddenly, an ear piercing noise halted their thoughts.
"What was that?!" Krissa asked.
"What's going on?!" Marlin said.
"I don't know, I'll ask him!" Dory said.
"Dory!" Marlin exclaimed.
"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATSSSSSSS GOOOOOOOOOOOIIIIIING OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON?!" The whale then made a sharp noise that made Krissa cover here ears (or whatever they were).
"I think he said we stopped." Dory said.
"Of course! we've stopped! Just stop trying to speak whale, you're gonna make things worse!" Suddenly, the group realized that the water around them was going down. "What is that noise? Oh no. Look what you did. The water's going down!"
"Really? You sure about that?"
"It's going down fast!" Krissa said.
"Look! It's already half-empty!" Marlin panicked.
"Hmmmm, I'd say it's half-full," Dory responded.
"Stop that! It's half empty!" The whale then made another sharp noise.
"Man, by the time this is over, I'm going to need hearing aids!" Krissa exclaimed.
"Okay, that one was a little tougher. He either said we should go to the back of the throat, or he wants a root beer float."
"Of course he wants us to go there! That's eating us! How do I taste, Moby?!" Marlin said while attaching himself on the whale's tongue. "Huh?! Do I taste good!? You tell him I'm not interested in being lunch!"
"Okay! HEEEEEE...!"
"Stop that!" The whale's body then began to shift, and the horizontal tongue shifted towards a vertical angle, making the group fall towards the back of the throat. Marlin was able to grab part of the tongue, as was Dory. Krissa however, was unable to do so as she was trying to keep Rufus from falling, but Dory was able to grab her before they fell.
"What's going on?!" Marlin exclaimed.
"I'll check! WHAAAAAA...!"
"No! No more whale! You can't speak whale!"
"Yes I can!"
"No, you can't! You think you could do these things but you can't, Nemo!" Krissa could feel the pain in Marlin's words. This must have happened to him before. The whale then made another noise.
"Seriously?!" Krissa exclaimed.
"Okay!" Dory said, letting go, making Krissa and Rufus scream. Marlin then grabbed Dory, keeping them from falling.
"He says it's time to let go! Everything's gonna be all right!"
"How do you know?! How do you know something bad isn't gonna happen?!"
"I don't!" Closing his eyes, Marlin reluctantly let go. Krissa shut her eyes tightly as she fell. It seemed to last an eternity. Suddenly, the group felt a strong force blast them into the air and into the sky, the group screaming as they were launched. Once Krissa opened her eyes, she realized that they were back in the ocean. The whale had launched them out of its blow hole!
"Ha ha, we're alive!" Marlin stated happily!
Why does this place look familiar? Krissa thought.
"Look!" Dory exclaimed, "Syd...Syndey! Syndey! It's Sydney!"
Sydney...Australia?! Krissa thought. She had never travel to Australia, but she knew about it. It looks like Australia...but it doesn't. Is this some type of parallel universe?! I'll have to ask Merlin about that.
"You were right, Dory! We made it! We're gonna find my son!" Marlin said excitedly. "THAAAAAAANK YOOOOOOOU SIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRR!"
"Wow, I wish I could speak whale..." Dory said.
"We can do this!"
"Okay, Maleficient said she should be around here somewheres," Pete said, or at least a Pete looking fish said. His head looked like Pete, but it was attacked to a grouper-like fish body. As Pete laughed to himself, a large, goofy looking fish with no teeth snuck up behind him and swallowed him whole.
"Ohhhhhh man, this could take awhile. It may be time for plan B. Yuck, what is that?! I want outta here! MOMMMMY!"
Krissa felt exhausted. They had followed Marlin around all night, searching for the boat that Marlin said took his son away.
"I really wish I wasn't a fish right now," Krissa told Rufus, "I could seriously use some coffee right now. Or a grande white chocolate peppermint frappuccino with whipped cream and an extra shot of expresso from Starbucks."
"Naco..." Rufus said.
"Alright," Dory said, "Do any of these boats look familiar to you?"
"No, but the boat has to be here somewhere! Come on, Dory, we're gonna find it!" Marlin said
"I'm totally excited!" Dory said as she yawned, "Are you excited?"
"Sure...totally..." Krissa said as she yawned. Rufus then let out a great big, squeaky yawn.
"Come on guys, wake up!" Marlin exclaimed.
"DUCK!" Dory suddenly gasped.
"That's not a duck," Marlin said, "It's a...PELICAAAAAN!" The group then screamed as the bird flew towards them and scooped the fish into its mouth.
"NO!" Marlin said, using his fins to block the group from falling down the pelican's throat, "I did not come this far just to be breakfast!" The Pelican began choking as it walked around stumbling on the dock. After a few seconds, the group felt itself thrown out of the bird and land on the dock.
"I gotta find my son Nemo!" Marlin said. The group then hopped down the dock, heading towards the water.
"Stop!" A second Pelican exclaimed, "I've got something to tell ya!"
"Keep going, he's crazy!" Marlin yelled. The group suddenly halted and froze when a bird dropping fell in front of them. They noticed literally dozens of seagulls around them.
"Mine," one of them said greedily. Krissa felt the hot sun beating down on her. It was hard to breathe with gills outside of the water. She was tired of being a fish earlier. She was DESPERATE to return to normal now.
"Okay, don't make any sudden moves," the Pelican said, "Hop into my mouth if you want to live."
"You can't be serious," Krissa said.
"Hop into your mouth, huh?" Marlin said, "How does that make me live?"
"Because, I can take you to your son," the bird said.
"Yeah, right..."
"No, I know your son. He's orange, he's got a gimpy fin on one side..."
"THAT'S NEMO!" Marlin jumped up and screamed, only for the seagulls to suddenly surround them and start fighting over them.
"MINE! MINE! MINE!" the many rats with wings said. Thankfully, the Pelican was able to grab them, and he filled his beak with water and flew off, the many seagulls chasing them.
"MINE! MINE! MINE!"
"Well, they definitely have an extensive vocabulary," Krissa said sarcastically. The seagulls made her think back to a time when she was about five years old and her family was at the beach. Maddie was holding a cookie, and a few seagulls began to surround her. They then chased her down the beach as Maddie screamed, never letting go of her cookie.
Sorry it's been awhile since the last update. New jobs will do that, ya know? Welcome to the real world!
Fun facts: Krissa is a Pinterest addict, she tends to doodle while taking notes during lectures and conferences, and she's a fan of Duck Dynasty and Nashville.
I hope you enjoyed! Be sure to review if you want more! The next chapter will conclude the Nemo world, and you won't believe what I'll do in the next world!
