A/N: Here we goo! I can't believe we're so close to the end, now. It's insane! So chapter 15 & chapter 16 are like one chapter split into two parts, if that makes any sense? haha. So don't freak out, this isn't the end! But we're getting there. ;) xx S.

Part 1

Tessa let out a small cry as the figure of Rose appeared behind her father. He, of course, had no idea what was going on, only that the chandelier had fallen and Tessa was acting like a madwoman.

Tessa ran wildly to the back door, throwing it open before Rose could block it again. "Sam! Dean! She's-"

A hit to her stomach sends Tessa flying through the air, and knocking her into her father, taking the both of them down. Tessa whimpered as she realized that she must have some bruised ribs, and by the way her father was wheezing beneath me, he was injured as well. Tessa painstakingly lifted herself off of Daniel and staggered once again to the door, but the Winchester's were already there.

"Take this!" Sam shouted, throwing a salt gun at Tessa before she had time to react. Somehow, she caught it, and lifted the heavy weapon to her shoulder. Her ribs ached as she did so, but there was no other option.

"Tessa," Daniel paused, sucking in a breath. "What the hell is going on?" His eyes then grew wide, focusing on something just behind Tessa's shoulder.

Rose.

"Damn it!" Dean cursed, shooting at the figure, and she disappeared in a puff of smoke. He barely missed clipping Tessa's shoulder, but she didn't mind. It was better to suffer a little gun injury than die at the hands of a vengeful spirit.

"Was that- Was that Rose? Rose Wilson?" Daniel gasped, blinking rapidly. He leaned against a chair, no doubt shocked and terrified.

"More like her ghost. Listen here," Dean grabbed Daniel roughly by the shoulders, turning the older man to look him in the eye. "Is there anything of Rose's left here? Some jewelry, a photograph, anything?"

"I don't think so..." Daniel faltered. "But... There was something-"

"Fucking say it! You and your daughter are in danger, do you hear that? Tessa could die," Dean sounded so wild and desperate that Tessa faltered.

"I found a scrap of rope soon after Hanna and I bought the house. I figured it was from... The incident, so I didn't want to upset Hanna about it. She was under enough stress as it was, so I put it in a box in the closet. It should still be there-"

Before Daniel had finished his sentence, Tessa was already pounding up the staircase, the only thought on her mind was about killing Rose, once and for all. Daniel quickly followed, and Dean was right on his heels. Sam brought up the rear.

Tessa was the first to enter the dark room. Just as she flicked on the lightswitch, Daniel burst into the room. Tessa caught a glimpse of Dean's green eyes before the door was slammed shut. Immediately, the panic set in.

"No, no, no," Tessa moaned, desperately yanking on the doorknob. She could hear Dean doing the same on the other side, and Sam was letting out a string of loud profanities. "Please, no." Tessa sobbed.

This was exactly what Rose wanted. To seperate Tessa and Daniel from the Winchester's, and finish what she started all of those years ago, when she killed the wife of her lover. Everything clicked into place for Tessa. Rose killed herself out of heartbreak, over the fact that Daniel would never leave his wife and two children for the young, naive babysitter. So she vowed to come back and take everything that Daniel had taken from her: Love. He started with the wife, and then the eldest son, and now she was going to kill Tessa.

And when he was at his weakest, after watching his precious baby girl die, only then would Rose kill Daniel. Only after his entire world was wrenched away from him, would she end his life. It was so, so cruel, but Tessa didn't expect any less. She would not let her father die, though. Even if it meant sacrificing herself in the process.

Because that's what you do for family. As much as they drive you crazy, you still fiercly love them with every fiber of your being. You would never, ever want to see them hurt. You protect the ones you love. It could be something as simple as covering up a hurtful truth to laying down your life for them. Because there isn't anything that you wouldn't do for your family.

Tessa later realized this was why Daniel said what he said next. "I'm sorry, Rose," he stifled a sob. "But please don't take my Tessie. Please, I'm begging you. Kill me if you want to, I don't care. Just don't take my Tessie away."

"Daddy, don't-" Tessa couldn't finish her sentence, because suddenly Rose appeared in front of her, a sinister look on her demonic, rage-filled face.

"You," Rose hissed, showing a row of rotting yellow teeth. Tessa had never seen her this close up before, and it made her feel sick. The blood-splattered, rotting figure in front of her looked nothing like the laughing, raven-haired beauty that Tessa fondly remembered from her childhood. That woman was gone.

"Rose-" Tessa cut her father off with a sharp look. She couldn't let him do this.

Rose came closer and closer to Tessa, until their faces were mere inches apart. Instead of feeling afraid, Tessa felt angry. Determined. "You fucking bitch!"

Tessa signaled to her father, who took off towards the storage closet. Rose saw the gesture, Tessa realized too late. She had no time to react before Rose was on her father. All she could do was scream.

As if in slow motion, Rose produced a dirty, blood-covered knife from beneath her flithy dress. She raised it high in the air, cackling wildly as she did so.

"You will pay," the chilling voice seemed to echo around the room. It invaded Tessa's brain, reverberating throughout her skull. She could hear nothing but the spirit's voice. Her father's cries, Dean and Sam's frantic yells, it was all gone.

She didn't even hear her father's final scream. A twisted sort of last words, but some that Tessa was grateful to miss.

Blood. Blood was everywhere.

To Be Contiued.
