Chapter 3: The Unbreakable Feeling.
SELENA POV
"Tony!" I ran to Tony's side as he lay on the floor motionless. The woman that came into his house also came to his side. "Who the hell are you?" She asked as I lifted Tony's head and places it on my lap. I had no clue who the hell this chick was and she had no right to talk to me like that either! "I'm his personal doctor!" I had to lie to her unless she thought that something was going on with us. I checked for a pulse on Tony and found it! Yes he is alive! "Is he going to be ok? Please tell me he is going to be ok!" The girl said as she placed a hand on his chest. I grabbed her hand and moved it off his chest and then she gave me an evil glare. Her eyes seemed to have gone from her green eye color to a burning gold. I blinked then looked again at her and saw that her eyes were back to normal. I must have just been imagining it. "Do we need to call an ambulance?" She said as she took out her phone. "No! I know what I'm doing." She looked at me then at him. "I need you to help me carry him to the couch." I said as I sat myself in a squatting position while still holding his head. "Um I don't have the shoes or strengthen to do that." She said as she stood up looking down at me. I wanted to slap her so hard across the face, but I know that would not be right since I didn't know her. "Come on we need to get him to the couch!" I told her as I moved my hands from this head to his armpits. She rolled her eyes at me then walked over to Tony's feet and picked them up. "Ok on the count of three. 1...2...3!" We lifted him up and walked him over a few feet to the living room. We used all of our strengthen to lift him to the right height to get him on the couch. After we placed him on the couch I sat on the edge where his head laid still. I placed his head on my lap and began to rub his head softly feeling for any bumps that might have formed from his fall. She sat on the couch by his feet. She looked up at me with a questionable look. "What kind of medical treatment is that?" She asked with a sassy ass tone in her voice. I looked up at her and trying to hold back the urge to slap her. "I'm just trying to calm his mind and make sure there are no bumps that might have formed." She rolled her eyes then stood up and looked out at the window. "I need to get going its late." She said as she looked at her cell phone for the time. "Can you please tell Tony to call me when he is better? I can't afford to miss this appointment. You might know I'm a reporter for People magazine and I'm also doing a story on Tony." She said with a smile. She reached her hand out to me. "Ana Quince." I looked at her hand then at her green eyes. "Selena Acevedo." I said as I shook her hand. "Nice to meet you Selena. I'm sorry but I really have to go so good night and please make sure Tony is safe." "I will make sure." I said as I flashed her a half smile. "Thanks. And it was nice to meet you." She said as she placed a pair of white sunglasses on her face and walked out the front where glass still laid from Tony's crash landing. As I hear the car start and drive away I look back down to Tony who was again my lap. "So much for our dinner." I said in a whisper to myself and with a giggle that followed. I started to run my fingers through this hair again slowly. I smiled to myself, but then turned to a frown when I saw a bruise on his forehead. I'm guessing that happened when he fell in throw the front door. I leaned down and kissed his black and blue skin above this right eye. He is a wonderful person and had a great heart. I hope I could keep in touch with him after I leave. I look out to the sunset. It was already around 8:25 as I stare out into the ocean. I let out a small yawn. I looked back down at Tony then towards the kitchen. I got up and place Tony's head on a pillow for comfort. I walked over to the kitchen and started to put the leftover food away into the fridge. I place the plates that had the leftover food into the microwave just in case he wakes up soon. After I cleaned up I walked back into the living room and sat down in a chair that was to the left of the couch where Tony was sleeping. I untied my shoes and took the off with my socks and placed them over to the side of me. I took off my button shirt so I only had on my black tank top and sports bra with my black skinny jeans. I took out my phone and went on Tumblr to pass the time. I felt the cloud of sleep take over my mind as the sun disappeared. I looked at Tony and smiled then fell into a sleep myself.
ANAS POV
I hear my phone ring as I drive back down to my house. "Hello?" I said as I place my phone on speaker. "Did you get Tony on broad or what? Time is running low and we can't stall anymore!" I roll my eyes and I feel my temper raising high. "I know but I couldn't talk to him today he was with his doctor for medical needs." I said as I speed down a hill. "I don't care for excuses right now Anastasia! Don't you forget who helped you get your abilities or the great position you got! You get Tony on broad with us or I make sure Tony knows who you truly are and I personally make sure you overheat!" The phone hangs up and I break quickly to a stop. My hands started to burn through the steering wheel. I stop as I realized that it was melting onto my lap. "Fuck!" I said as I remove my hands from the wheel and try to cool myself down. I pull down the mirror and look into it. My eyes are a burning fire color and I watch as they turn back to green as I calm myself down. I look at the steering wheel since I was boring the car from my boss. The Master won't be happy.
TONY POV
I open my eyes with a groan and hold my head as it pounds like there is a hammer going to it. I sit up and I take my shoes off, but then wondered how I got onto the couch when the last thing I remembered was fainting onto the floor. I kick my shoes off to the side along with my socks. I rub my eyes as I feel exhausted from my attack that I just experienced. By the look of the sky it seemed that a couple of hours passed since I fainted. I stand up but something caught my eye. To my left was the small sleeping form of Selena. She held her iPhone in her right hand as she sat there with her legs swept to the right side of the chair. He hair was still in her braid that swept to the right. I smiled to myself as I look down at her small body. I can't let her sleep there it's too uncomfortable. I walked over to her and I grabbed her phone and placed it on the coffee table. I leaned down and lifted her firmly up and pulled her close to my chest. I tried not to wake her as she moved to place her hand on my chest. I smiled as I got a better grip of her back and legs into my arms. I then began to walk slowly to the guest room she was staying in. I tried to be as careful and quiet as possible not to wake her. I was happy that she could help me with my issue of attacks so this is a way I can help her as I make sure she gets a good night's rest. I get to her room and Jarvis opens the door for me and slowly closes it behind me. I walk over to the bed. I looked down at her sleeping face that was placed on my chest and smiled. "She looks so beautiful and peaceful." I said to myself. I begin to lean over to place her in to the bed. I remove my hands from her back and legs then slowly pulled away when I felt like something holding me. I look down at my neck and saw that her arms where wrapped around my neck in a death grip. "Shit." I said in a low voice. I don't want to wake her. So I slowly ducked under her arms and placed them on the bed. She started to move and I froze in my place trying not to make a sound. She moved to her right side as her back faced towards me. I exclaim in relief. I slowly made my way towards the door and left the room. I smiled as I closed the door behind me and made my way to my room. I got to my room and turned on a light. I walked over to my bathroom and took my shirt and pants off. I looked into the mirror and saw I bruise on my forehead. I sigh and washed my face as I stood there in nothing but my boxers. After I washed my face and brushed my teeth I walked back into my room to my dresser as I took out a pair of grey pajama pants and a black muscle tank top. I put them on and turned off my light. I slowly shuffled my way to my bed. I got under the covers and pulled them up to my chest. I was to tried to think and I just laid there motionless as the heavy sleep begin to take over. I just hope I don't have another eventful day as I did today. All of a sudden I feel into a long needed rest.
ANA POV
I get to the mansion and pull into the long driveway. I put the car in park and sit there for a while as I try to figure out what to say to The Master as I didn't get Tony yet and I ruined his Bentley. I opened the car door and got out making my way to the door. It was around 11 and the security was on heavy guard for extra measure. The guards open the door as I walk into the long hallway before I could get to the living room I was all of a sudden pushed against the wall. I gasp and heat up until my lips were captured by a familiar friend. He kissed me passionately against the wall. I start to cool down slowly and kiss him back. " Don't worry baby we will get him with us soon we just need a way to get him with us even if that means kidnapping we will get Tony baby." He said as he looks at me with his blue eyes. "Is there anyone that you believe will be of good use to this?" He said as he starts to slowly caress my cheek. I smile and looked at my blue eyed beauty. "He has his old bodyguard Happy that could be used." I sad as I move my arms to behind his neck. "Nah that won't work. He would know because I had a meeting at Stark Industries about our project and he was there so he knows us. And Rhodey is totally out of the picture." I think as I kiss his cheek slowly. "He has a personal doctor that seems to be importance to him." He smiled at me and looked at me with enjoyment. "Her name is Selena." I said. He smiled at me and kissed me. "This will work very well baby." He said as he picked me up and took me to our room.
SELENA POV
I woke up with a scream and sweat coming down my face. I was breathing heavy and looking around my room. It was 1:30 in the morning as the clock read. I start to slow my breathing down as I just realized I had a nightmare...again. I leaned against the headboard of my bed and place my hand on my temples rubbing them trying to erase the horrible dream from my mind. It's been about four months since my time with Tony and I been having these nightmare about him. I have no clue why I would but they just keep getting worst and worst. My nightmares contain of me and Tony having a wonderful time together then all of a sudden something dangerous happens and as he tries to protect me he gets hurt or killed. "You must really miss him Selena." I said to myself as I look out the window to the star lit sky. I lie back down and cover myself up and I close my eyes and try to get sleep before work in the morning.
TONY POV
I sit on a chair that was stationed on the balcony outside of my room. It was around 1:30 in the morning as I could not find sleep to come to me. Lately it's been like that since Selena left back home. I don't know why this would affect me like this but it just does and my heart hurts every time I think of Selena not being next to me. I stand up and make my way back into my bedroom and close the door firmly behind me. I sat on the edge of my bed as I take my phone out of my pocket. I wanted to call her but I just don't have the nerve I guess also because it's too late to call her. "Damn Tony you never felt this way before."I close my eyes a remembered the day I took her home... "Thanks again for taking care of me." I said as I pulled up to her studio apartment. "I had fun and thanks to you too for taking me into your home." She said with smile. I then handed her a box. "I think I owe you a new one since the other one was damaged." I said as she opened the box to see a new iPhone 5s in it. "Tony! You didn't have too." "Yes I did. And I added my number just in case." I said. She smiled and gave me a kiss on my cheek. "I hope to see you again soon Mr. Stark." She said as she left the car and disappeared into her home...I look out to the dark sea and sky. I play with my phone I held in my hand, all of sudden my ringtone "Shoot to Thrill" starts playing and my phone was vibrating. I look down at to screen to see who it was. It was Ana. She has been calling me almost every night. I sigh then slide my finger across the screen and press it to my ear. "Hello?" I said in a voice to make it seem like I had been sleeping. "Hey Tony!" she said with excitement. "I have a surprise for you!" "A surprise?" I said with a confusing sigh to follow. "Go to your front door." With a groan I got up from the edge of the bed and went out the door to my living room. As I thought she was right there at the front glass door with a big smile on her face. I hung up the phone and place my password in to unlock the door and open it. "What are you doing here? It's late." I said as I stood in the doorway leaning against the frame. "I'm sorry I couldn't wait till morning to ask you." She said as she pushed her hair to the side. She was wearing a pair of black leggings with an oversized green sweater and a pair of black flats. "Ask me what?" I said with a tired groan. She hands me a ticket. "This is a ticket to the Tony Stark Firefighter Charity Ball. I know you probably wouldn't want to go but I think you should. There will be a lot of people who are dying to meet you." I grabbed the ticket and look at it then at her. "You're inviting me to my own event?" I said with a chuckle. "Yeah!" she said with a nod. "Please my boss will KILL me if you didn't come!" She said as she came closer to me and wrapped her arms around me. I looked down at her then sighed. "Fine I'll go." "Yay!" she said as she jumped with joy then kissed me deeply. "You're the best." She said as she pulled away and walked to her car. She drove away down the hill. I sigh and walked back into my house. "Damn it!" I shake my head at my actions. "Jarvis Please save the date December 15 for the ball." I said as I place the ticket on the coffee table and headed to my room for rest that I needed.
Selena POV
"Selena!" I heard my name called with meaning and I jump lightly. I turn around from my drawing desk to see my boss Miranda looking at me. "Yes ma'am?" I said with a fearful voice. "Come to my office now." She said as she walked away down to her office. I could hear the sound of her Jimmy Chou heels fade into the distance. I look to Tara as she looked back at me with fearful eyes. "Maybe it's a promotion or…you're getting fired." She said with a giggle. I punch her in the arm and made my way down to her office. I walked into her office quietly since I was wearing red flats. "Please sit down. I need to talk to you about a few things." I nod and I walked over and sat down on the black leather chair she had in front of her desk. I smoothed my white skinny jeans clear of any wrinkles in order for more comfort. Immediately after I sat down I started to play with my sleeve of my red cotton long sleeve shirt. "I saw your designs for the winter collection and I have to say that they are wonderful and I really love the way the colors work with the fashion itself." She said as she gave me a smile and nod. "They are going to be featured in our stores and magazine." I gasped softly. "Oh my thank you so much it's a dream come true!" I said with excitement. She smiled and placed her hands on her lap of her black dress. "I'm also promoting you to my assistant. I believe that you have the talents that I need for my company." She said with a smile. I could not help but smile widely like a child on Christmas. "Miranda thank you so much this is a true dream come true." I said as I clap my hands together with happiness. "You're welcome Selena, you deserve this. Also this means you will be attending parties with me or parties I'll be unable to attend. Which there is one coming up soon that I will need you will need to attend, but I'll be unable to go to. You will just need to attend for Forever 21 since we are one of the top 3 companies to be donating to this cause. You will just be accepting an award and after that you can have fun and mingle. But just don't get drunk when you accept the award because that happened one year and it was horrible." She gave me a serious look and smiled. "I promise Miranda I will accept that award with not an ounce of liquor in my system." I said with promise. "May I ask what this event is?" I said with a quiet voice. "Ah yes. It's the Tony Stark Firefighter Charity Ball." My mouth dropped open in surprise and shock since its Tony's charity he established after 9/11. "Here is the ticket to get in and I'll make sure I'll have your name on the guest list just in case you misplace the ticket." She said as she handed me a red and gold silk like ticket. "I know it's a few months away but its best for you to know ahead for you can prepare for the night. You never know you might even get to meet Tony if he goes to it." I chuckle so did Miranda. I stood up and grabbed the ticket." I promise I'll make you and Forever 21 proud." I said as I started to walk out back to Tara to tell her the news. I walk back to my drawing board where Tara was waiting for my return. "So dude what happened?" She asked as she stood up and walked to me. "I got promoted to her assistant and I'll be attending the Charity Ball that Tony established." She gasped and grabbed my hands. "This is destiny! You and Tony are meant to be with each other! I mean it seems like you guys can't get away from each other!" She said as she squeezed my hands and smiled widely. Her blonde hair started to tickle my hands as she lifted my hands up to her face. "Dear if Tony would ever want to date me then I don't know what to do. I been thinking about him a lot lately and I mean I might have feelings growing for him." We both giggled and started to jump up and down like teenage girls. "This means you are going to need to go on a shopping spree!" She said as we stopped jumping around like teenagers. I stopped and thought. "That means I need to be girly for one night." I said with a gasp. "I'll set up an appointment for you at the Rodeo Drive Salon. You will be able to afford it now!" She said as she grabbed her phone from her desk. "You seem more excited about it than me." I said as I grabbed my phone as it went off from a text message I received. I unlocked my phone and saw that the text message was from Tony. "Hey Selena, How have you been?" I smiled as it seemed like he knew what just happened. "I'm wonderful. Nothing could be better."
