Selena's POV
"Jarvis where are you taking me?" I asked him as I look around and see nothing but snow on the ground and houses with Christmas lights on them. It was around 9:30 at night as we flew around the night sky looking probably like a shooting star. "Mr. Stark made a flight plan to Rose Hill, Tennessee. He told me to take you on a flight plan and this was the plan." I started to feel a little panicky as we flew above the snowy ground. All of a sudden an alarm starts to sound inside of the suit. "What is that?" I panicky ask. "It's the warning alarm to warn the power is under 15%." I start to descend into the snow as the suit loses power. Jarvis maneuvers me through the trees and away from the highway. Jarvis slowly lands me with the remaining power in a field that was far away from any eyes. "It's cold so stay inside the suit but I will need to power down to save the remaining power. Mr. Stark should be here shortly." Jarvis said as he powered down and left me in the dark of night. I was still in the suit and I was walking around looking for anything to help me. It was awkward to walk around in his suit but it was warm and better then standing in snow. I can only think about Tony and if he was ok. He saved my life and I honestly couldn't be anymore grateful. But I wonder why the hell he needed to be in Tennessee for. I think it's about the terrorist attack and he knew what to do. All of a sudden I hear a loud crash followed with a car horn. I quickly turn around and see something falling from the sky with a yell. It landed 25 feet in front of me. "Tony!" I yelled since I knew it was him since Jarvis said he would be here shortly. I quickly ran as best as I could to his side. I stopped as his opened his suit and sat up. He looked around and got up away from the suit as the suit closed back up. I stood there since he still hasn't notice me yet. "Tony?" I said in a soft tone. He turned around quickly. "Selena? Are you ok?" He asked me as he ran to me. "Yeah I'm fine just a little shaken." He moved his left hand to the right side on the helmet and pushed a button. The helmet cracks open and I feel the chill of the night touch my warm cheeks. He lifted the helmet off and threw it to the side. He grabbed my face with his cold hands. "Please tell me you're ok and you're not hurt." "Tony I'm fine just scared." He then pulled me close to him and tried to hug me tight as he can but the suit prevented it. "We need to get out of here and get you out of the suit." He said as he went over and grabbed his suit. I went over and helped him as he tied rope around the shoulders of the suit. This turned out to be one interesting night.
Tony's POV
We both dragged the suit to a Rose Hill since it was 15 miles out away from where we crashed landed. We reached the outskirts of the town and we found a cabin that was part of a "hotel". It was more like a rent-a-cabin. So I told Selena to wait in the trees since she was still stuck inside of the Mark 5. I got us the last house cabin that was available but only a one bedroom. I got us the key and went to the cabin that was the farthest away from the main street. I got Selena and helped her dragged the Mark 42 inside of the cabin. As we closed the door and placed the Mark 42 on the couch to make him look like he was watching TV or something. The cabin had a kitchen to the left of the front door and a huge living room and dining room. It had one bathroom to the left of the kitchen and across from it was the only single bedroom. "I guess this is home for a while." I told Selena as I looked over to her. She was sitting on the floor against the door. "Selena, are you ok?" She shakes her head no. "I think I'm just in shock from what happened. I never experienced something like that before. I think I'm just scared for what will come from this night." She said as she then stood up and kind of wobbled since it was hard to get up in the suit. I went over and I grabbed her arms and helped her stand up. Her blue eyes stared deep into mine. I gave her a reassuring smile. "As long as I'm here with you I will make sure you are safe and no harm will come to you." I placed my hands on her face and with my thumbs wipe away the tears that fell down her cheeks. She gives me a small smile. I helped her to the couch as she sat right next to Mark 42. I then walked over to the kitchen and looked for a tool box. I found one underneath the sink behind cleaning products. I grabbed the box and walked over back to Selena. "Let's get you out of that suit hey." I said with a smile. She gave me a nod follow by with a smile. I smiled again as I take out a screwdriver and starts to unscrew the screws in the leg on the suit. "I'll have you out in no time."
Selena's POV
It was around 3:30 in the morning as Tony started on my right arm. It was the last part of the suit that was still on my body. I was starting to fall asleep as I had been standing up and down as also I was stuck in this suit for over 5 hours. I didn't mind being in it. It was fun but it hurts after a while. Also it was made for a man's body not mine. Finally he removes the last piece of the suit that was still on my body. I started to bend my elbow up and down to get the feeling of a human arm instead of Iron Man. He placed the arm and attached it back onto Mark 5 that was now sitting next to Mark 42. "That took longer than I thought." Tony said as he finished attaching the arm to Mark 5. "Yeah but at least you got it off of me and I didn't have to stay in the suit for any longer." He laughed as he looked at me as I sat on the floor next to him. He came closer again as he sat back down from attaching the arm. He grabbed my hand and looked me deep into my eyes. "I'm so very very sorry that this had to happen to you while staying at my home, but you have to be stuck with me longer now since they think we are dead. I promise nothing will happen to you under my watch." I gave him a soft grin and a nod to follow. None of this was really his fault, but I was still scared that I will be killed. "Do you have a cell phone by any chance?" He asked me which brought me out from staring at him and my thoughts. "Uh-um yeah I do." I let go of his hands and stood up to get my iPhone from my back left pocket and hand it to him. "Thank you. Mind if I can make a call?" He said as he stood up and looked at me. "Go ahead." He gave me a smile and went into the bedroom to make his call. I just sat back down on the floor by the suits. I let out a sigh and tilted my head back onto the only part of the couch that the suits were not taking up. 10 minutes later Tony comes back out. "So we need to stay hidden and on the down low until War Machine can catch this son of a bitch." Tony said as he handed me my phone. "But aren't you going to help? I mean you are here in Rose Hill for evidence so there must be a reason for you to help." I said as I stood up from the floor and stood in front of him. "I was, but I can't now since I have you here with me. It's just not easy to leave you here hidden as I go and investigate. I'm protecting you now. They believe you are dead with me so we need to stay hidden and it's my job now to protect you." He was staring me deep in my eyes as he was a few inches away from me. The words hit me hard on how he told me that I'm under his protection. I found it crazy since it seems like I was some sort of queen. "Ok, but are we going to be staying here in Rose Hill for the remainder of the time?" I asked as I looked up at him. "No. Once the suits are charged and repaired we can fly down to a safe house in Georgia. It once used to be a plantation, but is now owned by me for whenever S.H.E.L.I.D needs it to hide someone. It's in a deep part of Georgia not around any towns or cities. Perfectly safe for us." He told me as he placed his hands on my shoulders. I gave him a smile. "When will the suits be charged?" "With the car batteries I found under the sink they be ready to fly in the morning. You take the bedroom. I'm going to clean my face of the blood and get the suits in good condition." I gave him a nod and gave him a kiss on his cheek that was not full of blood. "Good Night Mr. Stark." I said as I walked to the bedroom and opened the door. "Good Night Ms. Acevedo." He said as I smiled and closed the door behind me. What a day.
Tony's POV
I just got back into the cabin from the store. I bought some clothes for me and Selena since our clothes are pretty bloody or ripped. I also had to get some gaze and hydrogen peroxide for my face. It was about 6 AM and I haven't slept. I'm use to the sleepless nights anyways. I went into the bathroom after I placed the clothes on the couch in the living room. I took off the ripped and dust covered shirt and turn on the sink. I started to carefully clean up the dry blood on my face. As I was in the store the clerk gave me a worried look but I didn't care. I started to clean the wound that was on my nose and above my left eyebrow with the peroxide. I hiss in the pain of the sting, but continued to wash the wounds. After I was positive that the wounds were cleaned enough I grabbed some gauze for above my eyebrow and placed it there securely with medical tape. I didn't put any on my nose since it wasn't as bad as the one on my forehead. I came out of the bathroom and grabbed the clothes I had bought for me and went back into the bathroom. I put on a red short sleeve shirt with a pair of dark blue jeans. I placed my dirty clothes in the trash since they were torn up and not in good use. I bought Selena a dark blue V-neck shirt with a pair of black skinny jeans. I knew what her size would be since she left her clothes at my house and happen to know she is a small in shirts and a size 5-7 in pants. I felt a little creepy to know that but I wanted to be nice. I placed her clothes on the coffee table so once she wakes up she can change. I then check on the suits as they are on 87% of charge. I was glad to know that since we can fly out of Rose Hill and to the safe house. "Jarvis make the flight plan to the La Mami Josephina." "Right away Sir." That was the name of the house that the agents came up with not me. So I then went and laid down on the arm chair adjacent from the suits and hope to get about an hour or two of sleep.
Ana's POV
"You son of a bitch!" I screamed at the Master as I slapped him across the face. "I told you not to do anything that will cost us our way with Stark and now this is! Stark is dead along with an innocent girl just because you got upset!" He grabbed my arms tightly and looked deep in my eyes. "Calm down. Our chance is not ruin. Tony is still alive as well as Selena. They escaped before the house took their lives. We are tracking them now in order to find Tony again. Don't worry my love we got this under control." He said as he gave me a kiss. "I could have been dead if it wasn't for you, you ass." I said as I pushed him away from me and marched down to our room. I slam the door behind me then let out a blood curling scream. I was so frustrated and angry; full of rage I just needed to scream. I then took off all my clothes and threw them to the side then quickly went to the bathroom that was to the right of me. I turned on the shower and got in as the water was blazing hot, but felt cold to my body. I closed my eyes as I pushed my back to the glass door of the shower and slide down to the floor. I held my knees close to my chest and opened my eyes. Nothing felt the same after I was injected with extremis. My body always feels hot. When I'm angry or frustrated I feel like I'm a time bomb and going to explode if I don't calm down. I been with the Master for about 4 years I love him, but I just never thought I would do something like this for the man I love.
Selena's pov
We are about 5 minutes away from the safe house in Georgia. Once I woke up Tony had a pair of clothes ready so once I was changed we suited up and started our flight out to the safe house. "Selena once we come to land be careful because it can be a little tough." I hear Tony on the radio from inside of the helmet. "I'm sure I can do it. I have been through more rough situations with you this past year." I give out a laugh but Tony was silent and not a single laugh came out from him. I think what I said hurt him to know that he put me through rough situations. Suddenly I look over and see Tony descending and I followed. It wasn't that hard to steer and maneuver the suit after about an hour of flying. As we came down from the clouds I see a huge land that was for sure a plantation during the Civil War. As we came closer to the main front gate we saw several black SUVs that were waiting at the main gate. We paused a few feet in the air looking down at them. My heart started beating quickly for I not know who the people are. "Don't worry they are friendly." I turned to him as I see the Mark 42 nod and then landed. I saw Tony walked to the closest man that was dressed in a suit. I zoomed in on the man and Jarvis picked him up as Agent Phil Coulson. I then started to slowly land. I started to shake as I then landed a few feet from the men. I stayed quiet as I stood there in the large iron suit waiting for the men to finish. Suddenly the men walked to me and as I then lifted the face part of the mask lifted up. "Selena, this is Agent Coulson. He was here to make sure the house was secured before we came." I gave a small smile as I reached out my metal covered hand to shake his hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you Agent Coulson." "The pleasure is mine. We hope not to keep you two here for too long. We will do everything we can to get you two back to the real world. I hope you enjoy your mini vacation and Mr. Stark, be nice to her. She is a sweet girl so please don't corrupt her." My cheeks were burning in which I knew I was blushing like a maniac. "Hey hey! Don't make it seem like I'm some pervert." Tony said through his mask. "Sure whatever you say Stark." The short man said to Tony. Sudden Coulson ran his fingers through his brown short hair as he then put on a pair of black sunglasses. "If anything please contact us." Agent Coulson said as he got back into one of the three SUVs and drove away on a long street. I turned to Tony who was looking at me with his face mask up. I blushed as my cheeks felt warm. "Ready to see home for a couple of weeks." Tony said as he walked over to a scan that seems to be scanning his eye. All of a sudden, the golden fancy gate opens up towards us. My eyes widen in awe. The long drive up to the plantation had green trees arches above from the each side as they fall over the driveway. I can't believe my eyes. I smiled at Tony who was already staring at me. Then we started walking down the mile long driveway. Our metal feet clicked against the rocky road. We were silent taking in this amazing view in which seemed to be the first time he has been here. Then the house came into view. It looks more like a mansion! The house was painted white with a trim of gold paint on the borders. There were columns all around the outer of the house. It was a mansion the was two levels. We stopped at the front steps of the well maintained house. I felt like I was going to faint from the wonderful view. In the back was a small private lake. This was the only house within a 5 mile radius. "What I would give to have this as my home." I said with a wide smile on my face. Suddenly I felt something hold my hand and I look over and see Tony holding my metal covered hand. "Come in its better on the inside." We walked into a great grand foyer. It was huge and a very Victorian style to it. As we entered deeper into the house the hallway leaded to the grand living room and dining room that were across from each other. To the left of the living that was on the right side of the hallway was a semi spiral wooden grand staircase that lead up to the second floor. I look up to see a titanic sized glass chandelier in the center of the paint ceiling that seems to have angels painted on it. I was I'm shock as I stood in the middle of the house with the suit still on me. "This is amazing." I said as I looked over to Tony who was coming out of his suit. "It's ours for the time being." I blushed on how he said ours. I then came out of the suit myself. I was in the blue shirt and dark jeans Tony gotten for me. I was still wearing my combat boots. "The rooms are upstairs. Each room as a view of the lake and a private bathroom." Tony said as he checked his watch. "Ok then. Um what do we do for clothes?" I asked as I stepped on the first stair. "Many people who are kept here for safety leaves whatever clothes here for the next person. Most of the people are rich and famous so they really don't care about the clothes and just leave them here." He said as he locked the front door. "Oh I see. Well I'm going to go and pick a room and take a long shower." I said as I walked up the stairs heading to the rooms. This place is amazing. I feel like I'm on vacation, but I'm actually hiding from a terrorist. It makes me scared when I think about it. Yet again I'm here with Tony Stark. So I know he will protect me for whatever happens.
