Tony's POV

I paced back and forth in the penthouse as I waited for Rhodey to hear back from his base. I was so worried about Selena. I started to blame myself for not taking her with me as I knew I should have. I had changed into a pair of black jeans with a pair of black converse high top and a red t-shirt. As I pace I stroke my goatee as I think of ways to get Selena back. I start to feel myself get panicky and I could only think of all the horrible things that they could be doing to Selena. And it will be because it's my entire fault. Rhodey come back into the room and looks at me straight in the eyes. "Miami, Florida. She is in Miami that is where their base is and the home of Killian is also located." I felt myself calm down softly, but still feel very shaky. "We need to get their now. I have to save her and put a stop to this. Killian has gone too far this time." I said as I swing my arms out to call forth my suit. As my suit pieces itself on me I hear a thump coming from the helipad. Rhodey hears it too and takes out his gun and points it to the entrance from outside.

I hold up my repulsers and ready to fire them towards the people that might come to hurt me. "Don't need to be frighten Tony. We are allies." I head a man's voice in my head. What the fuck? I saw as a man in a wheelchair comes in with two other men. The man in the wheelchair was wearing a grey suit with a white dress shirt and blue tie. Another man was in a black leather jumpsuit and matching boots with a pair of weird glasses on his face. The other man was in a pair of ripped jeans with a white tank top and brown leather jacket and matching boots. Then there was a woman with them. She was African American with white long hair. She had on a black tight leather suit that showed her every curve. Her boots were like high heels and she had a silver cape that fell down her back.

"Rhodey, did you invite the circus?" I look at Rhodey from inside my suit. "Sir. They are a team of mutants called X-Men." X-Men. X-Men. I heard that name before. "Mr. Stark my name is Charles Xavier. I am here with information about Ms. Selena Acevedo." He said as he moved his automatic wheelchair closer to me. I lift my face mask up to look at the short bald man in front of me. "Wheels, please don't mess with me. I have been through hell these last few months and today someone I care about was taken from me. If you have information then spill."

I was sitting there taking in the whole situation that I have just been told. "Mr. Stark I know it's a lot to take in, but this information is important to know with taking on Dark Phoenix." Wheels said as I sit there in silence with my hand over my mouth. "We are here to help you with this situation. We have battled Dark Phoenix before in this case we are able to help you, Starkie." Logan said as he smoked a cigar next to Storm as they both leaned against the bar counter. "Starkie? Really Logan?" Storm said as she shakes her head and moves to sit next to me and places a comforting hand on my shoulder. "So, you are saying Sel had this power inside of her all this time and is now awaken due to Extermis. Now instead of Phoenix it is Dark Phoenix that has taken over her body and is under the control of Killian. This force is able to even destroy worlds on its own. As well as possessing the power of fire and maybe even the power of former X-Men Jean Grey." I said as I look at the four mutants and Rhodey standing around me. "That is correct, Tony." Scott said as he looks at my Mark 42 suit that was sitting in the middle of the living room. This was so much to take in. It was even hard to believe that this could be possible. "I know this is hard to believe it could be possible, but we are here to help you understand what needs to be done." Wheels said as I knew he was in my mind.

"When I read into the mind of Aldrich Killian and Anastasia Quince I found out that they used a machine to hide the memories of Selena Acevedo and release the Dark Phoenix in her place in order to control the Dark Phoenix and use her deadly powers against you in order to get what he wants. A formula that can help him stabilize Extermis for his own good and the good of his army that he is making with wounded veterans." I think back to that meeting I had with Killian; the same day I hit Selena with my car. He was saying that this is a weapon that will give us an advantage in every war we are in. "Shit. I know exactly what he is going to do with that army. He is going to use it in order to turn everyone and use everyone in his hand on controlling the world. He has been holding a grudge with me for fifteen years now since I left him on the roof since I didn't want to listen to his idea to change the way we view war. Honestly, I knew this plan will never work since the formula he had would not be able to prevent the overheating of his soldiers from turning into time bombs."

I stood up and walked over to the bar next to Logan and poured myself a drink of whiskey. "Want a glass?" I asked Logan. "You know I do, Bub." I handed him his glass as we drank together. "Mr. Stark you will need to figure out on what you will like to do in order to save Selena and stop the Dark Phoenix from corrupting Selena over fully and causing the Dark Phoenix from turning the world into an inferno." I look over at Xavier who wheeled himself closer to me. "How did you defeat the Dark Phoenix before?" The room went silent for a good few moments as everyone's face even Rhodey's face was dark. "I had to kill her." Logan said as you could see the pain in his eyes. "I will not be killing the woman I love! There has to be another way." "What about the machine?" Rhodey finally spoke up. "If it hid Selena and The Phoenix wouldn't it be able to release them as well if we reverse the settings?" I look at Rhodey as I thought about it. I can for sure override the system in order to bring Sel and this so called Phoenix back.

"I can override the system, but how will we be able to get Dark Phoenix to sit in the chair? If this thing is powerful then how the hell will we get it to listen to us when that thing has a grudge against you all and needs me for a science project." "If I can control one of the two people that are meant to control the Dark Phoenix then I will be able to see if I can get her to the machine." Xavier said as he looks at me. "One of them must have a past that they have hidden."

Ana's POV

I was sitting in Dark Phoenix's room with her as she changes into her new uniform that was given to her. I sat there reloading and loading my gun over again. I was in my uniform as well. I was wearing a pair of black combat boots with black leather pants and a black leather tight jacket that looks similar to the one that Black Widow has. I looked at Dark Phoenix as she finished getting ready. She had on a red leather jumpsuit as well as a pair of matching knee high combat boots. Over her jumpsuit there was a red long overcoat. Her dark red hair was put into a high ponytail and her side bangs hung down. I just sat there watching her making sure that she wasn't taken or whatever.

"How long do you think you will be able to hide who you truly are?" She said as she was now staring at me with her bright red eyes. "What do you mean?" "You aren't Anastasia Quince, but someone else. Someone who had a great future for her, but fucked it all up when Killian came into her life and showed her what she thought was real power. Dear, this isn't real power. Am I right Zorina Marie Hill? Zorina means Golden Dawn and your mother named you that after a mission she was on named Golden Dawn. Your father, you don't know since he was never in your life, but he was killed in action as an undercover agent for S.H.E.L.I.D. You looked up to Nick Fury and Phil Coulson as father figures. When you decided to join Killian you planned a fake death and went under a new name. " My eyes widened as there will be no way that someone like her will be able to know my real name or even my whole life story. "How the hell do you know that?" I asked as I stood up and face her. "I am Dark Phoenix. I know the past and the future of all. I even know of the future you should have had. You are the daughter of Maria Hill. You grew up without a father but your mother was always there. She trained you and you became a level 7 agent at S.H.E.L.I.D, but gave it all up for a guy who had a crush on you. Your future it is much different than this." She lifted her hand and pulled the gun out of my hand with her mind. "Your mother misses you dearly. She wanted something so much better for you. They don't know that you are alive, but I know that you will be welcomed back with open arms if you returned."

Dark Phoenix said as she went over and sat on her bed that was near the window. Her bright red eyes glowed in the sunlight. "Impossible, I been hacking into the accounts of S.H.E.L.I.D and they will charge me with treason against them. I know I have charged people with the same account. I will be thrown into prison and S.H.E.L.I.D prison is very different then a normal one." I said as I stood there looking down at her. Ever since the Dark Phoenix has been released there was no trace left of what was Selena. I started to feel the guilt that came from me knowing I have done something wrong.

"What has Killian done for you in order to make you still be his little pet?" I felt myself start to burn with the words she was saying. "Sweetie, you might love him, but I am sorry to say that the feelings aren't that much mutual." Dark Phoenix smiled at me as I feel like she is right. I got pissed! I took fire into my hand and shot it towards her. Instead of hitting her, the fire ball was dissolved by a force field that was around her. "Hmm I do have Jean's powers." Suddenly, I felt myself being chocked and lifted into the air. She was using her mind to do this to me. I gasped for air as I could feel the life being chocked out of me. "Zorina, I am here trying to help you. You seem like a nice girl and I don't know if it's Selena or Phoenix talking, but you should leave while you have a chance. You may control me now, but what will happen after I bring you Stark? Killian will not stay with you dear. He will find someone else with greater strengthen in order to help him." I was then released from her mind grasp as I fell to the floor coughing and gasping for air. Dark Phoenix comes to me and kneels done to face me. "I feel the energy within you. I can tell that the good and evil have been battling inside of you. My suggestion, go with good. You have no business with being with the evil ones." She then stands up and walks out the door and I stare out her leaving and just think about her words.

She is very right. I have been battling against the forces inside of me ever since I joined Killian. I pull out a picture that I always keep in my pocket. It was a picture with my, my mother and Fury. We were all in our traditional S.H.E.L.I.D gear. We were standing next to each other as we were all standing around the meeting table talking about a mission that we were all going on. Suddenly, I started to cry. I cried so much as I laid there on the cold ground with the picture close to my chest. I knew what I needed to do. I know that I need to put an end to my fantasies and be who I truly am. I placed the picture back into my pocket and stood up and looked out at the noon sun. I grabbed my cell phone from my pocket and called a number I have always remembered. "This is S.H.E.L.I.D operator please say the name of the Agent you wish to speak too." The system said. "Director Nicholas J Fury." "This is Fury."

Dark Phoenix's POV

I walked down the corridor as I went to look for Killian in order to know what my mission is and when it will start. I know all of Selena's past, yet she will not have enough strengthen or power to get her or Phoenix out. Although, she was harder to gain access too as well as coming through in order to take over her form. I reached the gym as Killian was training with other Extermis soldiers. I closed the door behind me as I watched the fighting style of Killian. He was shirtless and his chest was covered a dragon tattoo. He had a toned upper body for a rich man. His blonde hair was full of sweat but still looked nice. He had a pair of white sweat pants and no shoes on as he kicked a soldier in the chest. I stood there with my arms crossed and cursiously watching the soldiers try to bring down Killian, but he fought with every ounce of strengthen and fire he was able to produce. Suddenly, a loud buzzard rang and every soldier collapse to the floor as Killian stood up tall.

"Your training will work out in the long run my soldiers. We will make a mark on the world as we have made the perfect new weapon." The soldiers stood up and all started to clap and cheer. Killian smiled at them all then laid eyes on me. I didn't need to read his mind to know that he lust over me. "Attention my soldiers! We have a special guest or more like a Queen in our presence." I smiled and giggle at the motion of me being a queen. I slowly lifted from the floor and slowly flew over to the middle of the room where Killian was. I gracefully landed next to him. He took my hand and kissed it softly. "Isn't she beautiful?" The males all cheered and whistled at me while the females just clapped in envy of my power and beauty.

"If she is all powerful and great, why don't she show us this great force." I looked over and saw a female soldier stare at me with angry in her eyes. She was short, but had a great muscle tone to her. Her hair was blonde and was in a side braid. Her eyes burned orange as she stared at me with hate. She had on a white tank top with matching shorts. "You don't believe in my power?" I ask as I placed my hands on my hips and stared at her. "No I don't! I believe you are just a hoax. Whatever the X-Men said you are or how powerful you are is just a lie. Jean Grey was just murdered by her teammates in order to make it seem like he was saving her. Instead, just wanted to kill her because he wasn't able to have her. The Dark Phoenix or The Phoenix is just one huge ass li-." She started to chock on her words as I collapse her throat with my mind without having to lift my hand. "You should maybe take for hint from the history books and know that I am real." After that I snapped my fingers and her body was set aflame. Her screams were loud, but I knew fire wouldn't hurt her that much. So I used the inner fire she had to cause her to self-explode. Once she over heated her body was nothing but ash.

I smiled as everyone stared at me and the pile of ash that was at my feet. "Not everyone can come from the ashes, but those who do are the most powerful and strong enough to defeat their enemies. If anyone else believes that I am a hoax then step forward and receive the same fate as your friend." No one moved as they looked around to see who will move. "I am here to help Killian with his mission of his weapon to bring back the world from the ashes of the people they have lost. Even though you all will not rise up from the ash. I will. I will rise up to make sure this world is of fire and powerful with the creation of Killian's work. Not everyone deserves to be paralyzed forever from servicing their cause. Here we will rise together to show that fire rules all!" Suddenly the room erupts in claps and cheers as they were excited for my help. "I couldn't say it better myself." Killian said as he grabs my waist and lead me out of the gym into the long corridor. "My, my you are something else Dark Phoenix." He said as we walked slowly to the mansion. "I just speak the truth of how I see it." Killian then pulls my arm and pulls me close to him. "Well, I know for sure that you are meant to be by my side ruling." I smile and I knew his thoughts were to win my over just for I wouldn't turn on him. I also knew that this body of Selena loved Tony, but what about giving love to Dark Phoenix. "Oh Killian. You sure are a charmer, but to bad you are already with Ana." "She doesn't need to know." Then suddenly he captures my lips in a hungry type kiss. I wrapped my arms behind his neck and pulled him close. I felt the energy coming from him. It was hard not to just take it from him, but I know that will not be possible if I need to hide my true attentions on destroying this world. After a few hot passionate kisses he pulls away and looks me deeply in my eyes. "You and I will rule with fire!" He said as he smiled sweetly at me. "There is no better world then a world of fire." I said as I smile. This will be the new era of The Dark Phoenix!

Zorina's POV

"She was right." I said in a whisper to myself as I see Killian kissing Dark Phoenix as if he was kissing the love of his life. I felt my heart ache and it was breaking, but I knew that what I was about to do was the right thing to stop them. I ran down a different hallway for they wouldn't see me. I ran out the front door of the mansion and quickly made my way to the docks where there was a speedboat there. I got in it and quickly took off to New York City. I had a meeting with S.H.E.L.I.D to tell them of Killian's plans. I was happy and nervous to be going there, but I knew this was the right thing to do.

Tony's POV

"I need to get to Miami!" I yelled in the phone as I was preparing to leave with the X-Men to stop Dark Phoenix and Killian and save Selena. "We have some intel coming in about the mansion and we will not let you and the X-Men go in blind." Fury yelled back as he then hung up the phone. I looked at the X-Men as they nodded as they agreed for us to go to NYC. I call forth my suit and looked at them through the mask. "Let's do this!"
