"I hope you have a good sleep."
Zoey looked confused.
"Thanks... you too"
Chase slammed his eyes shut in frustration and turned to his other side. Another missed opportunity. He thought of Zoeys words as he fell into bliss… "I think so" she thinks she found the right guy? please be me, please be me…
Chase woke up to the pleasant song of birds, he wiped sleep off his face. and sat up. he remembered where he was and why. He was a little surprised to see Michael and Nicole were no where to be seen. Made sense, he thought, me and Zoe were up for probably about two more hours than they were. He looked over to Zoey who was just waking up.
"Morning" He smiled at her.
She smiled and sat up, resting her weight on her two elbows as she looked over to Chase.
"Good morning"
"How'd you sleep?"
"oh alright considering this mattress isn't very comfortable."
Chase was still very mad at himself for not telling her. He had to do something about it.
"Ya cool, well uh listen Zoe, theres something i need to tell you."
"Okayy"
"Im just gonna come out and say it… i should've told you this along time ago, but i- i like you Zoe, and don't want to hold this in anymore."
Zoeys eyes extended largely.
"Oh wow Chase… thanks for having the guts to tell me...
but im so sorry im kinda with someone right now, i'm so sorry i should've told you.
Chase was stunned… his mind beat himself up again. oh man what were you thinking you ain't ever getting out of that friendzone. He couldn't muster up words to reply. his thoughts were interrupted by a rather familiar voice that he couldn't put a name to.
"Zoe? Zoey are you in there?"
Zoey quickly sat up and blindly tried to comb her hair with her fingers as she stepped out of the tent she couldn't even look at Chase. Chase couldn't look at her, he just stared into nothing as he couldn't believe what had just happened in only seconds.
"Hey Glenn" Zoey said.
Glenn! Chase thought, there was only one Glenn he knew, Glen Davis the one who had stole Zoeys test so he could go to the dance with her, and know they were seeing each other! Chase couldn't believe what had just happened, he slammed his head back on his pillow, his body was in shock and for some reason felt very cold as he allowed his world to go black.
