Lehnsherr pointed us in the right direction, and the four of us started walking. As we walked, Murphy was telling us something, "I am picking up a strange energy spike. I don't know what it means yet, but you better keep your eyes open."
"We will." Merlin replied, which unfortunately drew Lehnsherr's attention.
"What did you say?" he asked.
Merlin had to do some quick thinking, "We will... we welcome your help. Very much."
Lehnsherr frowned, "I should hope you would."
"Why did you ask us how we got here earlier?" Saya asked him, distracting him from every other thought.
Lehnsherr smiled. Even though a smile is supposed to be reassuring, his smile is exactly what I picture Saya's to be.
"You wear these goggles, which tells me you're here in group." he explained, then looked at Saya and Merlin respectively as he talked, "You're dressed for school, but not in any uniform that people where here. And you don't sound like any of the locals. From that I deduce you are travelers from very far away."
Merlin scoffed, "You don't know the half of it."
Lehnsherr nodded, "Given this planet's recent developments, I do not blame you for not wanting to share with me how you can travel great distances."
"Recent developments?" Saya questioned.
Lehnsherr's smile only widened, "You have traveled a great distance, to not be familiar with current events."
I was beginning to wonder why he kept up the fancy talk, when I realized that the bug in my pocket just won't stop moving.
"Might I ask, is there a problem?" Lehnsherr asked me.
"You may, but he won't answer." Saya answered for me.
Lehnsherr took one look at her. His face was more serious this time. I looked at Saya, who had her scary face on. My eyes switched between looking at the one to the other, and it became obvious to me that not one of these two were intimidated by the other one.
"I'm sorry to interrupt you two." Merlin stepped in between them, "But weren't you supposed to bring us somewhere?"
"Ah yes." Lehnsherr remembered, "Follow me."
He turned around and walked. Saya and Merlin followed suit, but I stood still for just a moment. The bug in my pocket was quieting down. I took it out of my pocket to take a better look. With it in my hand, it didn't seem to move at all. I shrugged, and followed the other three. But as I did so, the bug started moving again. I stopped, and its movements lessened. I got closer, and it moved again. It was like there was something in front of me that causes it to move. But what? I was only following Saya and Merlin... who were following Lehnsherr. The bug seemed to move the closer I got to him. What was it about him that made the bug move so frantically? Didn't Murphy say something about a strange energy spike? I put the bug back in my pocket, then put my goggles on. I switched on the heat-vision. Trying my best to look past Saya's cold body, I looked at Lehnsherr. His body heat seemed to be a bit lower than that of Merlin, but since Lehnsherr was already an old man, that shouldn't surprise me. I turned it to night-vision, which didn't show me anything different. I turned the dial of my goggles a little more, and suddenly the entire area became blue, showing me walking skeletons.
"You decided to use X-ray vision." Murphy told me through my ear-piece, which two of the skeletons in front of me caught as well, seeing as they both reached for their ears too. Both of their skulls turned to look at me. I put the goggles on my forehead, and could now recognize the two skeletons as Saya and Merlin. Not knowing what else to do, I just placed my finger to my mouth, then pointed at Lehnsherr. Saya nodded, but Merlin had his brows raised. Saya pushed him back into keeping an eye on Lehnsherr, as he was still guiding us to this telepod station.
"Sorry about that." Murphy apologized, "What are you looking for?"
Even if I could talk, my answer would still have been that I don't know. I put the goggles back on my eyes, and looked. The skeleton that was Saya's was also holding that tube, in which a sword was hidden. What was strange though, was that the sword was also moving. It seemed to be pushing itself against the tube's lid, forcing its way out. Forcing its way toward Lehnsherr. Was that why she was so willing to cooperate with what I signalled her? Because she also noticed how her sword reacted to him? Looking at Lehnsherr through these goggles, I could still not notice anything unusual about him. Though as my eyes went up and down his skeleton, just to be sure I wasn't overlooking anything, I did find something in his briefcase. There was a reason why it was as big as it was, because he was carrying what looked like a helmet inside it. Looking closer, I saw that it also carried other things. There were several smaller things inside that case. All of which looked like that metallic bug that I have in my pocket. Is he collecting these?
"Here you are." Lehnsherr said, prompting me to turn and take off my goggles, "The telepod station."
"Thank you for showing us." Merlin said.
"No need to thank me." Lehnsherr replied, "I didn't do anything any other gentleman would not have done."
Saya still had that look on her face, telling me she wasn't buying his gentleman act.
"I should be going." Lehnsherr said, "I have other matters that require my attention."
"How do we contact you?" Saya asked, which had Merlin look confused.
"Contact me?" this seemed to genuinely surprise Lehnsherr.
"Who knows, we may still need someone to show us around." Saya said.
Lehnsherr smiled, "Of course. Here you are."
From his pocket, he drew a card, which he gave Saya. Merlin looked at it.
"What is this?" he asked.
"That would be the frequency on which you can reach me." Lehnsherr replied.
"Frequency?" this meant nothing to Merlin.
"Never mind him." Saya explained, "He's even more behind current events than we are."
"Of course." Lehnsherr understood, "I hope to encounter you again."
With that, he turned around and walked away.
"What is going on here?" Merlin asked.
"I don't trust him." Saya explained, "And neither does M."
"Why not? He's helped us." Merlin replied.
"People who help you aren't necessarily your friend." Saya said.
I stepped in between the two, hoping to stop this from turning into a fight, then pointed at the building next to us.
"You're right, M." Merlin said, "We have more important things to do right now."
Saya nodded, and the three of us got inside the telepod station.

What we found on the inside was like nothing I could imagine. Almost everywhere we looked, there was what looked like an egg-shaped booth. Many of these booths, the ones that were marked "IN" had people waiting in lines, while others, which were marked "OUT" had no one waiting at all. But if there was one thing they all had in common, it's that they had people sitting next to the booths, each of them operating a computer.
"What is all this, then?" Merlin wondered.
"Take a closer look." Murphy advised us.
The three of us looked at each other. I shrugged, then pointed at the nearest booth. One that was marked "IN". Saya and Merlin nodded, so the three of us kept our eyes fixed on that one.
One person who was next in line walked up to the computer-operator. He showed the operator a ticket, after which she nodded and pressed a few keys on the keyboard. With that done, the door to the In-booth opened. The man stepped inside, after which the operator pressed a few more keys on her keyboard, and the door shut again. If it were me, I would be nervous, because I had no idea what was about to happen. But this man didn't even shiver a little. It was like he knew exactly what was about to happen. The operator typed a few more things on her keyboard, and eventually pressed enter. When that happened, something was crackling on top of the booth, which in turn also made a low voice, almost like a ventilator that was spinning too fast. Inside the booth, lighting was striking the man. I could feel myself breathing faster and faster. This machine looked like it could blow up any second, and yet this man was inside, completely unafraid of what was going on. Smoke started to build up, both in- and outside the booth. A loud explosion sounded, making me feel like my heart stopped. And yet, to my surprise, the booth was still in one piece. The smoke was clearing, the electricity had disappeared, nothing seemed to be wrong. But as the smoke cleared, I realized something was wrong. Where did the man go? Somebody had stepped inside it, but now he's gone.
"EXPLODE!" I heard Merlin shout, and the booth exploded.
Needless to say, that this got everyone at that specific booth to shout in panic.
"Merlin, there was no need for your magic." Murphy said.
"What are you talking about?" he asked, "You saw what that machine did."
"Yes." Murphy replied, "And now I know exactly why they call it a telepod."
"Those are teleportation machines, aren't they?" Saya asked Murphy, "I heard humans of my world speculate about those."
"They are indeed." Murphy answered.
"Teleportation?" Merlin had never heard that word before.
"Basically, it disintegrates your body to its most basic elements." Murphy explained, "Then, much like with a radio-signal, your body is then sent to another machine, where they reintegrate back into one body."
That made sense to me. The In-booths are to disintegrate people, while the Out-booths reintegrates them.
"So what are you saying?" Merlin asked, "That thing didn't kill the man, it just... transported him elsewhere?"
"Precisely."
"That must be why Lehnsherr was so surprised about us being here." Saya realized, "If other transport-vehicles don't work, then we couldn't have come here from far away without these telepods."
"Possibly." Murphy said, "But even so, I don't think that five years is enough for these people to have developed this technology. Especially not if they had no easy access to electricity."
"You think that Cylon woman had something to do with it?" Merlin asked him.
"It wouldn't surprise me." Murphy replied, "Cylons have worked by infiltration before. They make themselves seem like saviors to this world, only to betray the people after."
"It looks like we have our work cut out for us." Saya decided.
"Not so fast." Murphy said, "We don't know Number Six's exact scheme. We may stop her, but not whatever plan she has set in motion."
"So what do we do?" Merlin asked.
"Right now, get out before someone realizes you shouted something before the telepod exploded."
As I heard Murphy say this, I looked around. Several of those smaller Cylons had started appearing, asking the people what had happened. But they weren't alone. There were these men walking with them. They wore these gray skull-like helmets, gloves and boots of the same color, but underneath all the armor they seemed to be wearing spandex. That spandex was black with some, and gray with others. All of them carried these strange staff-like blades.
"Quantrons." Murphy recognized those things, "It looks like the Cylons have back-up. Get out!"
