Spencer's Pov
I have stayed up most of the night thinking about this whole issue that Hanna and Emily are in. Hanna is in love Emily and Emily is so blind not to see it. Hanna is hurting herself with this situation. Emily has no idea her "perfect girlfriend" is cheating on her. Maybe this could be a good thing I mean a chance for Hanna. This is giving me a headache it is just confusing. I figured out what we are going to do about Paige. The three of us are just going to go up to Paige and confront her. I'm pretty sure Aria and I will be doing most of the talking since Hanna pretty much wants to choke her to death. We agreed to meet at Aria's locker then start looking for Paige and hopefully Emily is not with her.
" Hey Ar, where is Hanna?" I asked as I approached her at her locker.
" Hey, she just texted she was parking." She told me putting her phone in her pocket.
" Oh okay. How are you?" I asked her.
" I'm good it's just this issue is driving me insane. What about you?" She asked running her hand through her hair.
" Same, it's all so complicated." I sighed. Just then we saw Hanna walking down the hallway towards us.
" Hey Hanna. How are you?" Aria greeted her.
" I did it." Was all she said ignoring Aria's question.
" Did what?" I asked her with a confused expression on my face.
" Broke up with Caleb." She stated and Aria looked at each other a little surprised.
" Oh my god are you okay?" Aria asked concerned.
" How did he take it?" I asked. She sighed and leaned against the metal lockers before answering.
" I'm fine and at first he was a little upset until I explained everything to him. After that he shared some news with me, turns out he was going to leave anyway." She explained.
" That jerk he was going to leave you?" Aria said. " Again?" I added then Hanna shoke her head to stop us from assuming.
" No it's not like that, he is leaving rosewood to go to California to be with his family again." She told us.
" Oh, well at least you guys ended on good terms." I told her.
" Yeah but it's bittersweet because I'm going to miss him." She shrugged.
" You did it for you Hanna, just remember that." Aria said putting her hand on Hanna's shoulder.
" Yeah you're right. Let's get to business though and find this bitch." Hanna said putting her fist into her palm. Aria and I laughed.
" Hanna we are just going to talk and let her explained that hickey. We are not going to beat her up." I said and we began our search. We have been walking around for like ten minutes.
" If it was this hard to find her we should have put a tracking device on her." Aria said stopping.
" I know I'm tired of walking." Hanna complained.
" Hanna we've been only walking for a couple of minutes." I rolled my eyes.
" Hopefully she is not with Emily." Aria said as we turned a corner. Hanna stopped dead in her tracks.
" Well that sure as hell does not look like Emily." Hanna said with anger and pointing at Paige kissing this girl. The girl was shorter than Paige and had ginger hair. The girl kissed Paige one last time then left. We walked up to Paige.
" Hey Paige, who was that?" Aria asked to she what she was going to say.
" Oh um just a friend." Paige told us.
" She didn't look like just a friend." I said folding my arms.
" What do you mean?" Paige asked playing dumb.
" You know damn well what she is talking about! friends don't kiss like that. What am I saying? Friends are not supposed to kiss at all!" Hanna practically yelled.
" Please don't tell Emily." She begged us.
" No, we are definitely telling her. Aria said getting a little loud herself.
" Is that girl responsible for that hickey we saw the other day?" I asked and Paige grabbed her neck.
" Look can you guys just forget what you saw?" Paige asked. I don't know why she is even asking this of course we are going to tell her.
" Do I have to repeat myself. We are telling her, why wouldn't we?" Aria asked.
" Because you guys will regret it." Paige said.
" Are you threatening us?" I asked.
" If you're trying to scare us it's not working." Hanna said.
" Oh I'm not threatening you guys and you shouldn't be scared of me." Paige told us.
" Then what are you saying?" Aria asked with a confused expression on her face.
" What I'm saying is she wouldn't believe you guys because she is in love with me. She believes everything I say, it's kind of sad." Paige smirked.
" We are best friends of course she would believe us. How could you do this to Emily?." I said.
" Yeah nothing is more important then our friendship. " Hanna said.
" Are you kidding me Hanna? Emily isn't your friend." Paige said and Hanna had gotten even more angry.
" I'm her friend we have now each for years and years." Hanna defended.
" True but she talks about how you really hurt her that day and how you guys aren't friends like you guys used to be."Dude she hates you." Paige said.
" Hanna don't listen to her, she is just trying to get in your head." Aria said.
" Yeah you know that's not true, Em loves you." I told her trying to calm her down.
" That's what you think. Hate to burst your bubbles but she doesn't love you. I'm starting to think you like her more then a friend. You don't think I don't see you roll your eyes when her and I are together. You're jealous of me aren't you? You want Emily to bad you can't have her." Paige said as she got into Hanna's face.
" You know what Paige you are full of shit. I don't even know why Emily is with you." Hanna said clenching her jaw.
" Maybe it's the way I satisfy her needs if you know what I mean." Paige said with a wink. Then before we knew it Hanna slapped Paige so hard she fell on the ground.
" Now she definitely won't believe you guys." Paige said getting up and wiping blood from her bottom lip. Hanna tried to go back in for some more but Aria and I stopped her.
" The next time I see your face I'll do a bit more damage to fix it." Hanna said clearly pissed off.
" Come on Hanna she is not worth it." I said glaring at Paige before we left.
" I'll see you guys at lunch." Hanna said trying to get away from us as fast as possible but I grabbed her.
" Hanna don't let Paige get in your head." I said.
" Yeah just take a deep breath, it will be okay Hanna." Aria said rubbing her back trying to calm her down.
" Gosh I'm so stupid she is right Emily won't believe wanted me to hit her so she could seem like the victim. Emily is going to hate me if Paige tells her I like her." Hanna said starting to tear up.
" Hanna don't say that Emily loves you." Aria said.
" Yeah but not in the way I want her to!"Hanna lashed out in tears. She said against the wall with her knees pulled up to her chest and head down crying. I look at Aria who was making the same sorry look I was making.
" Look Hanna maybe she doesn't feel that way but maybe one day she will. Once we get Paige out of the way maybe you could help her recover from a broken heart and tell her. You are not stupid, Emily loves you there is no need to be crying. Everything is going to be all right." I said lifting her chin and wiping her chin.
" That was a lot of maybe's Spence. I hate feeling like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I don't know if everything is going to be okay." Hanna said running her fingers through her hair.
" Hanna I know this is very hard for you but I don't like to see you cry or feel like that. It's just sometimes life is hard and you have to go with the flow because everything happens for a reason. Maybe after this mess it could lead Emily to you. Now get up you are to pretty to cry so stop it." Aria said helping her up.
" Aria is right Hanna and so am I. Emily will believe us. Let's see that smile of yours." I said and then started tickling her on her sides. She was laughing so hard her face was red.
" Thanks for cheering me up and being here for me it means a lot. You guys are right hopefully." Hanna said and hugged us tightly then wiped her tears away.
" We will always be here for you Hanna, you should know this by now." Aria said.
" Yeah, what are best friends for?" I asked with a smile.
" School is about to start. I'll see you guys at lunch." Hanna said checking the time and began to walk away.
" Bye." "See ya." Aria and I said at the same time and laughed afterwards. I can tell this is going to be a long day because this morning was so hectic.
Emily's POV
Today I am going to the dentist for an appointment. I hate the dentist but the good thing about it is I get to miss first block. I have second block with Paige so that's great. I didn't tell the girls or Paige about the dentist well because I forgot until my mom told me this morning. This day should be a good day everybody's getting along like Hanna and I, Paige and Hanna. I'm glad everything has been going smoothly for me. I think Hanna broke up with Caleb last night and I know that was hard for both of them. I just want to be there for her because I can't even think of a time she wasn't there for me. Hanna is the best friend I never want to lose. Same thing with Spencer and Aria but there is just something about Hanna. Who ever this mystery girl is that she likes will be lucky to have her. Speaking of Hanna I just got a text from her.
" Hey Em I need to talk to you ASAP!" Oh she sounds like something is wrong so I quickly text back.
" What's up? Are you okay?"
" I'm fine I just need to talk to you and I miss you. Where are you?"
" Awe I miss you too! I'm going to the dentist I won't be there until second block."
" You have second block with Paige right?"
" Yeah why?"
" Damnmit. Whatever Paige tells you its not true. You have to believe me Em!" Oh gosh something happened between them... again.
" What happened? What did you guys get into another argument?"
" Something like that... talk to me at lunch bye love you!"
" Okay love you too." Just as I sent that message I got another text message from Paige.
" Hey um don't talk to Hanna or the other girls before you talk to me." Paige sent me.
" Paige already talked to Hanna. What happened with you guys?" I sent.
" What did Hanna tell you?" Paige asked.
" She told me whatever you say is not true. Why would she say that?" I asked.
" She slapped me this morning for no reason." Paige said without answering my question.
" What? Paige she wouldn't do that, you must have said or done something. Oh and are you alright?"
" Yeah I'm fine and I didn't do anything to her I promise." She told me.
" Just talk to me when I get there bye love you."
" Bye."
So much for everybody getting along. I don't know why Hanna would slap my girlfriend but Paige had to do something fro her to get physical. Paige hasn't been acting like the sweet Paige that I know. I mean she doesn't even say " I love you" anymore it's not like her. Unlike Hanna who isn't even my girlfriend but says " I miss you" and " I love you" all the time in text and in person. I love that about Hanna she makes me feel wanted. If it wasn't for this girl she likes I would say she had a crush on me, but everybody knows that is not likely. I arrived to the dentist's office and waited patiently until my name was called that took about fifteen minutes. All they did was clean my teeth and told me I didn't have any cavities. This is why I hate the dentist it is such a waste time and the smell makes me want to throw up. I left dentist and since you can't have you phone on I had three missed messages from my three best friends.
From Aria: Em, we have to tell you something and I don't think you'll like it.
From Spence: Don't be made at us when well tell you.
From Hanna: The girls and I have to tell you something about Paige.
I didn't reply back to any of them. Now I'm really worried it just not about Hanna and Paige it has to do with all of us. This can't be good especially if they think I'm going to get mad. I'm tired of all this drama it's like I'm stuck in the middle of it. I headed back to school with my headed filled with the worst thoughts of what this is about. I check in give them my excuse and head to class. I have to ask Paige about what the girls are talking about. I walk in class give my teacher my pass and take my seat next to Paige. I looked at her and she had a split in the right side of her lip. I'm guessing that's from Hanna.
" That looks like it hurts. You okay?" I said grabbing her cheeks examining her lip.
" I'm fine but Hanna needs chill the only reason I didn't hit her back is because of you." She said grabbing my hand. We were in our own world in this class. The teacher didn't care if we talk because both of us have A's in this class plus we are her favorite students.
" Thank you for being the bigger person. I'll talk to Hanna at lunch, speaking of lunch the girls want to tell me something about... you. Do you know what it's about?" I asked and she swallowed hard and looked away.
" Uh I don't know. I think you shouldn't talk talk to them for awhile." she said not making eye contact.
" Paige I can't do that they're my best friends . I have to be there for Hanna." I told her.
" Why just Hanna?" she asked with a confused expression.
" Because I'm pretty sure she broke up with Caleb last night and she won't tell me what girl she likes." I sighed
" I understand that but I think they your friends keep getting in between us. I love you Em and I want to be with you forever." Paige said. Now she is back to the sweet Paige all of a sudden.
" Forever?" I asked with a smile.
" Yes, but it's not forever if they keep getting in the way. She told me.
" I get what you're saying." I said.
" So Hanna likes a girl huh?" she asked.
" Yeah but she won't tell me who she told me to look for the signs." I said.
" Do you have any idea who she might be?" she asked.
" Nope, I couldn't even imagine Hanna being with a girl after her and Caleb were together for so long." I said.
" Emily did you ever think that the girl she like could be right in front of your face?" Paige asked.
" What do you mean? Like Spencer or Aria?" I asked.
" No I mean you Emily!" she said and I laughed.
" Paige that is funny Hanna doesn't like, she is my best friend." I said
" Then how do explain when we're always together she makes these faces like she is jealous. Or when we get into arguments she is trashing me and she said I have something she wants. What else could that be then you Em? It all makes sense. That's why she slapped me this morning." Paige explained.
" What did you say?" I asked.
" Nothing I just said I pleasure you needs." Paige giggled.
" Paige, that's not funny and even though those are good points, Hanna doesn't like me if she did she would tell me." I said.
" Believe what you want Emily." Paige said. Then the bell for lunch rang we got up to go to lunch.
Still Emily's POV ( In Lunchroom)
I'm on my way to the lunch room to talk to the girls. I'm kind of nervous because I don't know what this is about. I'm not going to bring up what Paige said about Hanna liking me I don't think it is true. I wouldn't mind if Hanna liked me, I used to have a huge crush on her before Paige. What am I thinking? Stop it Em you have a girlfriend. This is crazy I'm just nervous that's all. But Paige did give some good reasons why she would. Ugh just take a breath Emily. Hanna doesn't like me that's final. Paige and I made our way to the lunchroom. I immediately saw the girls and Hanna made eye contact with me then looked at Paige and rolled her eyes.
" You find a table, I'm going to talk to them alone." I told Paige and she kissed my cheek and did as I told her. I made my way to the girls with a shy smile.
" Hey guys." I greeted them and sat down next to Aria and Across from Hanna and Spencer.
" Hey." "Hi" "Sup". They all said at once and looked around awkwardly. I'm already nervous and they are making it awkward.
" So..." I said indicating that they need to speak up.
" Uh we have to tell you something." Spencer said not making I contact.
" Yeah I figured from all the texts I got." I said raising my eyebrows.
" Yeah." Aria awkwardly giggled.
" Okay I'm waiting, I can't take this anymore just tell me you guys." I said getting impatient.
" Alright you tell her." Spencer said to Aria.
" What? No you tell her." Aria defended herself. Hanna was just loooking down shaking her head, she seems a little to quite.
" Somebody tell me something." I said.
" Fine!" Hanna almost yelled and it caught all of our attention. " We think no we know... Paige is uh c-cheating on you." Hanna said fiddling with her hands like she was afraid to look me in my face.
" What?" I asked shocked. " H-how do you know?" I asked.
" We saw a hickey the after the day you and Hanna had gotten a that fight." Aria said.
" And it didn't come from you because I was over your house that night." Hanna said finally making eye contact with me.
" We also saw her kissing some red head this morning before we talked to her." Spencer said.
" You guys are lying." I defended.
" Em, why would we lie about something like this? We just want you to be happy." Hanna said.
" Paige is not the one to be with Emily." Aria said.
" Yeah Em we are warning you to end it." Spencer said.
" I- we don't want you to get her Em." Hanna said.
" I can't it here and listen to this, you guys are lying." I said getting worked up.
" Em we aren't-" Aria started to say but I cut her off.
" Save it, I just need some time to think about all of this." I said getting up from the table and walking away quickly.I sit at table with Paige just crying, I don't even know why. I told Paige what they told me and she said she wasn't cheating on me. Ii don't know who to believe but I'm sticking with Paige.
Hanna's POV
I can't believe Emily didn't believe us. I had a feeling like something like this was going to happen because Paige is so manipulative. Emily is supposed to be our best friend so how come she didn't believe us. Spencer promised that she was going to believe us I guess promises really were meant to be broken. But it's not Spencer's fault Emily is just so damn blind. It's like Paige has brain washed her, I guess Emily loves her so much. Which I don't understand at all. All of this is bullshit, if you don't want to be with someone just tell them. Don't go behind their back and cheat on them it's just going to hurt them even more. I feel like I've been stabbed in my chest, first I can't have Emily because I'm a coward. Secondly I can't have her because of her dumb ass girlfriend. I just don't know what to do at this point, I want to run away and just forget. I know what I need to forget but I don't want it. Alcohol is what I need and maybe something that will make me feel better, like weed. I can get some from sketchy Ricky. I'm not some low life so this is just medicine for my pain. School is almost over and I need to find sketchy Ricky, he is like Caleb but with drugs. The bell rings I avoid seeing any of my friends and Ricky is probably at the back at the school so I went. Just as I suspected the black-haired boy with lip piercings was leaning against the wall waiting for business. I started walking towards him he looked in my direction.
" Well if it isn't Hanna Marin." He said grinning.
" Hey Ricky I want to do business with you." I said and he looked around to see if anyone was coming.
" What can I help you with?" He asked.
" I wanted some weed." I said straight to the point.
" Ahh the good ole Mary Jane. This will make you feel good." He said taking out a small bag of the drug.
" How much is that? How much is this going to cost?" I asked.
" It's ten grams and 50 bucks for first timers." He said still holding the bag.
" Alright here." I said taking out the money and reached for the bag but he pulled it back.
" I never thought of you as a smoking and getting high kind of girl." He said.
" Why do you care? You don't even know me." I said holding the money out again for him to take it.
" I just thought..." He trailed on." People like you have a perfect life and don't need this stuff." He said.
" Well you thought wrong, my like is fucked up. If it was perfect I would have everything I wanted but I can't have what I want." I said looking down and sighed.
" Sorry to hear that. If my life was perfect I wouldn't be selling drugs." He said handed me the bag and I handed him the money.
" Yeah sorry to but uh thanks." I said putting the small bag in my purse.
" No problem thanks for doing business with me, see ya." He said.
" Bye." I said leaving and I headed to my car. I drove home changed into more comfortable clothes. I wasn't stupid enough to smoke here in my house so I was thinking of where I could go. I got my whiskey bottle and the weed, I set them on my bed. I paced back and forth thinking, my mom wasn't going to be home until late. I could walk to the park yeah that's a perfect place. I grabbed my "medicine", my headphones and my phone. I lock the door and start walking, it didn't take long to get there. When I got there nobody was there, I sat on the swings. I take a sip of the whiskey and it burns my throat. I put my headphones in and played the song I could relate to. Waves by Mr. Probz the slow version of course.

I'm drifting away because of all of this is a bit to much. I take another sip of my drink and hit the joint again. I know it's not good to do drugs and drink together but I'd doing anything to make this feel go away. Even though I'll be hung over it's worth it I guess.

Here is the part that gets me, I started to cry. I wish I could make Emily love me, I wish I could tell her how I fell. I wipe my tears and take a huge gulp of the whiskey and a couple of puffs from the joint. By now I was starting to feel the drugs and alcohol in my systems.

I just cried harder as the song ended and through the joint out. Drunk and high of my ass I began to walk and walk. I was dark by now and I didn't know where I was going. Drugs and alcohol is a bad combination. I found myself at the steps of Aria's house, I knock of the door. I have wet tears on my face and clenching the bottle so hard my knuckles are white. She opens the door and looked shocked at the piece of shit I am. Just took me inside and closed the door.
Aria's POV
I was home alone until I heard a knock at my front door. I opened it to find Hanna who smelled of whiskey and marijuana. She had been crying so I quickly pulled her inside, go thing my dad wasn't there. Lots of things were going through my mind when I saw her. Like, Did she walk all the way to my house? Why was she like this? Since when did she smoke weed? I have a feeling this has to do with the person she loves, one of m best friends, Emily Fields. Hanna is a wreck me seeing her like this is heart breaking because she is such a sweetheart. I take her upstairs trying not to let her fall we go in my room. I found some clothes and told her to put them on so I could wash her clothes. I sprayed her down with some perfume and I went back down stairs to get her some water. I came back into my room she was crying again and say "why". I couldn't do this my self so I sent out an S.O.S to the girls saying meet at my house. I wasn't she if Emily would come since she is mad at us as of the moment.
" Hanna why did you do this yo yourself." I asked grabbing her hand and wiping her tears away.
" It makes my feel better Ar. I just couldn't take it anymore." She said with a raspy voice from all the crying.
" It's okay Hanna but what you are doing is dangerous." I said looking her in the eyes.
" I know it's stupid, I'm stupid. I just hate feeling like somebody stabbed my heart, I just feel numb." She said tears slowly running down her face.
" Listen to me I sent out an S.O.S Spencer and Emily might come." I said.
" Great I need to tell Emily again she has to believe me this time." Hanna said getting up and I sat her back down.
" Sweetie she is not going to believe you when you are like this." I told her truthfully.
" I just love her which I don't get because she hurts me with out knowing. And that is my fault cause I don't have the balls to tell her." Hanna breathed out.
" Hanna are you going to tell her if she comes here?" I asked her.
" No I would rather be sober when I tell her. I can barely walk let alone tell my best friend I'm in love with her. I can already tell I'm not going to remember most of this night." Hanna said seriously and laughing at her last sentence.
" Hanna I hate seeing you like this. I promise you I'm am going to help you with this drug and alcohol problem." I said.
" Don't make a promise you can't keep." She said fiddling with hands.
" Hanna I'm serious." I said and she made eye contact with me. Just then we heard rapid knocking and ringing on my door, from my doorbell. That must be them.
" That may be them, I'll be right back." I told her then went downstairs to see who it was. So as I thought it was Spencer and Emily. I'm surprised and not surprised that Em showed up. I opened the door and looked at my worried best friends.
" Hey what's wrong?!" Spencer asked.
" It's Hanna." I said.
" Is she okay?!" Emily asked.
" She is fine she is up in my room drunk and high but I guess she isn't fine." I said and closed the door after they came in. We headed upstairs to my room to find Hanna looking out the window.
" Han?" Spencer said walking towards her.
" Oh hey Spence." Hanna said glancing over to her.
" Hanna what's wrong with with you?" Emily asked walking up to her also,
" A lot of things Em." Hanna said sitting down on my bed.
" All right Hanna talk about what you need to. We are here for you." I said sitting on the bed next to her.
" Okay... Emily why don't you believe us about Paige?" Hanna blurted.
" I'm not going to talk about this Hanna." Emily said.
" Aria just said you guys are here for me. So just hear me out." Hanna said.
" Em, just let her speak and get this off her chest." Spencer said.
" Okay fine, I'm listening Han." Emily said folding her arms.
" Em, we are your best friends in the entire world and have known you for your whole life. You don't believe us about Paige who you have only known for a couple of years. That's bullshit Em and let's not for get the bitch tried to drown you." Hanna spilled out.
" Hanna... I can't do this right now." Emily said.
" Em I don't want to get you heart broken because I care about you." Hanna said.
" I appreciate that but I just can't believe what you are saying." In that moment Hanna got up from the bed and through her heads on her head. She started pacing around the room.
" Emily I can't believe how you could be so damn blind. This is really fucked up. You are stupid enough to believe Paige!" Hanna said angrily.
" So I'm stupid now?" Emily defended herself.
" Yes a dumb ass. We care for you so much and this is how you treat us like we are liars. Well we are liars but you know what I mean. Paige is cheating on you why can't you get that!" Hanna screamed.
" That's it Hanna I can't and won't do this anymore. You are such a bitch to me, I'm leaving!" Emily shouted.
" Fine but when you actually catch Paige in the act of cheating on you don't come crawling to me!" Hanna shouted and then Emily was downstairs and out the door. Spencer and I had wide eyes about the situation that unfolded in front of us.
" Okay this was a lot." Spencer sighed.
" Hanna you are staying here tonight. Spence you staying."
" Yeah sure." Spencer said.
" I'm done with Emily." Hanna said.
" Hanna don't say that you know it's not true." I said getting the blankets and stuff ready.
" You are right but she is probably done with me." Hanna said crying once more.
" Hanna it will be alright. You'll see." Spencer said rubbing her back.
" I hope so. Could we just go to sleep? I'm feeling dizzy." Hanna said getting into my bed and like that she was out like a light. Spencer and I got ready for bed and said our goodnight's. This has been a hell of a day, I hope everything will get better soon.
