Emily's POV
Guess who has a new girlfriend? Yeah that's right but this not just another girlfriend it's Hanna Marin. I can't believe the most beautiful girl in rosewood, not to mention my best friend. I knew Hanna liked me because well she's Hanna, we she likes someone she doesn't hide it very well. I liked Hanna before she liked me though I just got distracted. I liked Hanna and then I had Maya, we all know what happened to her sadly. Then after Maya I liked her again but she was unavailable, I decided to try and move on and I did. Paige and I were together and I forgot about how I felt for my blonde best friend. After I found out Paige was cheating on me I was heartbroken but Hanna helped me though it. During that time the old feelings came to surface and I liked Hanna even more. I'm definitely glad Hanna told me a couple of nights ago, now I'm the happiest girl in the world. I feel like Hanna and I will be together for a long time for some reason. Probably because we've been so close ever since forever. Anyway Hanna decided she wanted to tell her mom about us. She told me she didn't want to hide me and everyone knows I hate being someone's little secret. I'm really proud of Hanna for doing this, I don't think she is even scared to tell her mom. I didn't want to hide her either so we decided to have lunch with our moms and tell them together. I have to say I'm a little nervous about this. I mean how will they act towards who they thought were best friends, but now we're girlfriends. I hope Ms. Marin we see that this isn't just some experiment or something. Hopefully my mom will understand that I like Hanna and I'm staying with her no matter what. Anyway since we are telling our moms today Hanna and I are going to the park for a little while to clear our minds. I drove my car there and Hanna walked since her house is close by the park. Hanna was already there sitting on the swings slightly swinging herself. I walked up to her and she noticed me before I even approached her.
" Hey beautiful." She said to me in her angelic voice. I sat down next to her on the swing.
" Hey baby. How long have you been here?" I asked her with a smile.
" Not long just a few minutes. This place brings back a lot of memories and they all include you in some way." She tells me glancing at me then looking straight ahead.
" Oh yeah how so?." I asked her with smile she got up from her and held her hand out for me.
" Let's go down memory lane shall we?" She asked and I took her hand. We started walking around. " Over there we have when you fell and scraped you knee on the sidewalk in third grade. I kissed your boo boo better of course." She laughed causing me too laugh with her.
" I think I remember that." I said her swinging our interlocked hands.
" Over here we have when we were in sixth grade. We were having a contest on who could stay on the monkey bars the longest. You won because you cheated by kicking me off." Hanna told me as we walked towards the monkey bars I laughed at her.
" Hanna I remember the contest but I don't remember kicking you off. I remember you fell off by yourself." I giggled and she poked my stomach and laughing along with me.
" In eighth grade you found me crying after Alison said something about my weight. You made me feel better. I remember you told me to forget about what she said to me, because you said I was the most beautiful girl on earth." She told me kissing the back of my hand.
" Oh remember that because when I told you that I meant it. You still are the most beautiful girl on earth." I told her smiling at her she looked down and blushed.
" No Em you're the most beautiful girl earth." She told me a now I had a shade of pink on my face.
" Thanks are there anymore memories?" I asked her.
" Oh yeah two more. You probably don't remember when I found you here drunk. It was a little while after Maya's death and I guess you came here to clear you head. I took you to my place and held you, I told you everything was going to be okay." She told me pointing a the park bench as if she saw us that night sitting there.
" Yeah I don't remember that one." I told her.
" The next one was like three weeks ago. This time I was the one drunk and high, I remember coming here and crying. I was crying because you didn't believe us about Paige I thought you trusted us. Well I guess I was jealous to since you picked Paige over us. Then some how I ended up at Aria's house." Hanna said looking down as we walked back to the swings.
" I'm sorry Hanna, I should have listened to you guys." I apologized looking down at my feet.
" Don't be sorry Em, everything happens for a reason. Your choice got us together if you think about it." She told me as we stopped walking.
" You're right I never thought about it like that." I said.
" Yeah well I'm glad everything happened. You know what they say after every storm there's a rainbow. Your my rainbow Em." She told me looking at me in a loving way.
" You're sweet Han, I'm happy too." I said smiling at her. She looked at the time and it was time to meet up at the grille with our moms.
" Hanna are you sure about doing this?" I asked as we walked to my car.
" Em I'm not ashamed about you, in fact I want to show the world how happy I am." She said getting into my car.
" What if your mom or my mom doesn't want us to be together?" I asked starting my car.
" Who cares Emily. I've waited so long to be with you, I swear I will not let anything take you away from me." Hanna said interlocking our fingers.
" I'm so proud of you Hanna. I wish I was more like you when I came out." I told her and leaning over to peck her lips.
" Thanks I just think it better to get it over with." She said and I began to back out and we were off to the grille.
" Yeah I guess you right. It's either now or later." I said taking a right to get to the grille.
" I'm just happy to be with you Em, hopefully our moms can see that." She said as we parked in front of the grill.
" I'm happy to be with you too. I think things will go good." I said as we got out my car.
" Yeah me too, but if it doesn't we'll still be together anyway." Hanna laughed as we entered the grill. When we walked in we saw our moms sitting at a table already eating their meal.
" Hey girls." Mrs. Marin greeted us with a warm smile.
" Hey you guys already ordered?" I asked them as Hanna and I sat down.
" Yeah sorry we got here early." My mom told us.
" It's fine we'll just order now." Hanna said. I guess Hanna decided to wait to tell them after we eat lunch. The waiter came over and took Hanna and I's order. While we waited on our food we made small talk with our moms. They finished their lunch by now and we were running out of things to talk about. The waiter finally came back with our food and we ate. Hanna ate so quickly probably because she is nervous or she actually meant she wanted to get it over with. We finished eating within the first fifteen minutes of our arrival.
" Woah you girls must have been hungry." Ashley said giggling a little.
" Yeah something like that." She said and I nudged her telling her it was time.
" Okay so the real reason we invited us guys to lunch is because we have to tell you." I said looking at them and then at Hanna.
" Well what is it?" My mom asked.
" Um so mom I'm gay." Hanna spat out. I looked at her like she was crazy, I didn't know she was going to dive right in.
" What? Hanna you have been with Caleb for a long time. Are you sure?" Ashley asked.
" Yes mom and I broke up with Caleb for someone else." Hanna told her mom.
" I think this is a family issue. Emily and I will be leaving now." My mom said getting up.
" No mom this includes me too." I said and she sat back down.
" How so?" Ashley asked.
" Well mom, Emily and I are dating." Hanna said taking my hand and smiling. Our moms had shocked facial expressions on.
" W-when did this happen?" My mom asked us.
" We started dating just a few nights ago." I told them.
" Well I have liked Emily ever since we were sophomores. So she didn't influence me in anyway." Hanna said.
" Are you guys okay with this?" I asked and Ashley started to cry. Oh no that can't be good.
" Mom what is wrong?" Hanna said reaching over to grab her mom's hand.
" Nothing is wrong I'm just proud of you." Ashley said wiping her eyes with a napkin.
" I agree and I could say I saw this coming. I mean you girls are so close with each other." My mom said.
" So you guys don't care about us dating?" Hanna asked with a smirk.
" Nope we're just glad you guys were honest with us." Ashley said.
" Thank you guys so much." I said getting up hugging both Ashley and my mom. Soon Hanna did the same thing.
" No thank you for telling us girls." My mother said.
" Yeah this takes a lot of guts to do." Ashley said.
" We just wanted to tell you ourselves." Hanna said.
" That's good. Now if you excuse us we have an appointment at the salon." My mom said. Ashley and her put money down on the table for all of us then we all left.
" Bye." I said and Hanna and I waved.
" Bye girls." They said and walked off to the salon. I turned to look at Hanna and she had a smirk on her face.
" What?" I asked smiling.
" Told you so." She said and nudged my arm.
" You did, didn't you?" I asked.
" Yep. So where to next?" She asked.
" How about my house we can watch movies and such." I asked and she interlocked our hands together.
" Sounds like a plan." She said kissing my cheek then we got in her car. Oh how could we go from best friends to this? Doesn't matter I guess because this is way better.
