SURVIVAL OF THE JEDI.
Anakin was in the Council Chamber when Palpatine gave the order to "Execute Order 66". After saving the younglings, he flees Coruscant with Padme. Eight years later, when Anakin rescues him, Obi-wan discovers that he has been rebuilding the Jedi Order in secret.
CHAPTER TWO.
"How many Jedi have you found?"
Glancing at Obi-wan, Anakin sighed. "Not as many as we had hoped," Taking a deep breath, Anakin shrugged. "When I left Coruscant with Padme, Mace and the younglings, I sent out a message, telling any surviving Jedi to go into hiding." He told Obi-wan, "We found Ahsoka first... we have also found, Shaak Ti and Quinlan Vos."
Obi-wan closed his eyes, there were so few had survived- His eyes flew open, "You haven't found Master Yoda?"
"Yoda's alive?!" Anakin asked his eyes wide. Before Obi-wan could answer, Anakin turned and strode to the cockpit, "Rex, stop the ship."
"Is something wrong?" Rex asked as he complied, staring at Anakin in confusion.
Shaking his head, Anakin smiled, "No, we just have to pick up Master Yoda before we go home."
"Master Yoda-!" For a moment Rex gaped in shock, then he grinned. "Where are we going?"
At Anakin's questioning glance, Obi-wan smiled, "Yoda is on Dagobah."
"Then that's where we're going."

"Here," Anakin held out a water canteen to Obi-wan.
Obi-wan drank desperately, gulping giant mouthfuls as the cool water quelled his thirst.
Watching as he drank, Anakin frowned worriedly. "Are you sure you're alright?"
"I am now," Obi-wan smiled at him, "your timing was perfect." If Anakin had been even a minute later, he wouldn't have survived.
"Timing had nothing to do with it," Rex said with a grin.
When Obi-wan frowned, Anakin shrugged, "I had a vision." He explained, "Finding you wasn't an accident."
"Well, I'm still grateful." Obi-wan smiled at Anakin, "I missed you, Anakin."
"I missed you too," Anakin grinned, reaching out to grasp his friend's hand. "And, now I can finally gloat about saving you for the tenth time."
Obi-wan burst out laughing, his shoulders shaking with mirth, as his eyes gleamed with joy.

As they came out of hyperspace, Anakin took a deep calming breath, running his hands through his hair nervously.
He had no way of knowing how Master Yoda would respond to his New Jedi order; although the changes he had made, had been necessary for the survival of the order, they were the complete opposite of the rules of the old order, and he wasn't sure Master Yoda would agree.
"it'll be fine, Anakin." Obi-wan smiled reassuringly, when Anakin glanced at him. "While it might not be exactly the same as Yoda or I remember, because of you, the Jedi order still exists." His expression was one of pride as he looked at his former Padawan, "You ensured the survival of the entire Jedi order."
Rex nodded in agreement, "You also had a hand in creating the *Resistance."
Anakin let out a slow breath, and smiled at his friends; he knew they were right, knew that his actions had had not only saved the Jedi Order from extinction, but also saved hundreds of innocent people from dying at the hands of the Empire.
"I just hope Master Yoda sees it that way," he said quietly, as the entered Dagobah's atmosphere.

When the ship landed, Anakin wasn't at all surprised to find Master Yoda waiting for them. Obi-wan was by his side as he walked down the ramp, while Rex brought up the rear.
When he reached the end of the ramp, Anakin bowed respectfully, smiling as he straightened. "it's a pleasure to see you again, Master Yoda."
The old Jedi nodded, "saw you coming I did," he said, motioning for them to follow him. "Much to discuss, we have."
